Staff were extremely friendly, room was incredibly humid and there was takeout and half eaten pizza boxes outside the room on the floor.

Perfect location to access Times Square and subway for other activities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time. Very beautiful. I don't received mend adding breakfast to your room. I ended up not using it every day and it was not worth the price. They only offered Coffe and got tea to drink, and I don't drink those. There needs to be a choice for people who don't drink those do to religious chooses.

Hotel was great. Even with a GIANT group checking in, seemed like it flowed well. 24hr cvs across the street, small seating area 100 ft away with tables and chairs in the middle of Broadway and Joes pizza within a stones throw. Excellent for a traveler that isn’t going to be in the room all day. Room was great. Isn’t a luxury stay but beds were comfy, lots of on tv streaming options and the curtains block out any semblance of light. Also the valet may be cheaper than most parking options in the area for 24 hours!

The was not as clean as you thought it should be. The bed is very saggy and you will feel pain in the morning. Bedbug is an issue here. The staff was not helpful with the parking. Metropolis parking is the highest charge ever( tax, service, and side charge extra beside the parking fee. )

The location of this hotel is perfect right in the middle of everything, making it easy to get around and explore. The hotel itself was great, and the staff was very helpful and friendly throughout my stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The breakfast package is NOT worth it. You pay $25 per day to add it, the breakdast sandwich they serve is premade, one item only and $10 to buy on site. The breakfast oackage is a scam!

What is my biggest criticism was the taxi service that was arranged by the hotel. It advertised a flat fee. However, once there the driver has a mandatory minimum 20% tip! I felt hostage to the service. Please fix this. Thank you

That they had no free continental breakfast, and that the parking garage was about 2 blocks over and it was $50 a day and you weren’t supposed to technically go in and out. You would have to keep checking in

Location to conference center and restaurants was great. Staff was wonderful. Lots of wear and tear on the room, faded, chipped wood, strange smell, shower head was broken. Environment on sidewalk right outside the hotel was rough at night.

The property was a bit outdated but clean. In particular, the staff friendliness, efficiency and helpfulness as well as location well made up for it. Miguel helped us to get a new room without any fuss after we had a rough night sleeping next to the air conditioning unit. The bellman was so friendly. We will come again, thank you!

Make sure that you use the card you have on file or else your payment will be lost or held until their system releases it. The property overall is in pristine condition however I do think that they should train their staff on paying attention to what they’re charging the customers. Although my card was charged initially, the young lady tried multiple times to get the payment over and over again it’s a good thing I locked my card.. then on the second day while checking out another young lady did the same thing recharging my card instead of asking questions.

Staff was amazing from front desk, to Jason the bellman, to the snack and bar servers. Everyone was very helpful and warm.

The hotel staff was accommodating and friendly, even returned a lost wallet that was in the lobby. The bed had stains on the mattress that was noticed late in stay but overall the cleanliness was good! Fresh towels and rags everyday and the staff cleaned the room to our liking. There was an issue with the elevators going the opposite way than selected (up for down, etc) but would stay again do to the closeness of outside amenities such as the heart of times square.

My trip to New York was cut short do to airline/weather/TSA issues. We were planning on spending the day in NYC but had to take the first flight out at 5:30am. The staff was exceptional in helping us change our plans and get a taxi. So my time in the room was very short. We loved the location, within walking distance to the Broadway show we saw. The room was a good size and had great beds! The bathroom was nice. I just wish I could of spent more time there.

No frills hotel stay, rooms were nice, staff was nice. Location is great. Valet parking available, wait time to get your car at checkout is between 45-60min which was explained at check in. Disappointed when I received my car back, empty coffee cup was left in it. Definitely wasn’t mine, makes me wonder exactly where they went in my car.

The location and especially the staff were amazing for a family vacation. I was amazed at how quiet it was at night and appreciated not being right in Times Square but easy walking distance for theaters. We were not given washcloths initially and the body wash in the shower was empty. The rooms are small but that seems to be expected in NYC for the price, and we weren't there much.

Definitely booking them again on our return trip. Staff was super friendly. Super helpful. Rooms were very clean and fresh towels daily. There is no microwave in the rooms. We had to use a community microwave in the lobby that wasn't appealing to the different smells of the different foods it was used for. The air conditioner didn't work. We slept with the window open but would have to close it at a certain point because it is noisy in this area.

Overall, a great stay. Staff was very friendly. We were greeted each time we arrived and acknowledged each time we left. A welcome bag was given with two waters. Room was spacious for NYC standards. Area was close to Bryant Park, walkable to Times Square, Fifth Ave, Theater district and Rockefeller Center. Whole Foods right down the street for snacks and drinks. It was a little noisy. Rooms aren’t soundproof so can hear neighbors taking, toilets flushing, hairdryers from other rooms. The doors are heavy so people slam them all night. Part of this is people not being respectful of other patrons in the hotel as we kept our voices down and slowly closed doors when leaving and entering the room to minimize noise. Would stay again.

Location was absolutely perfect. Stayed a week for my daughter’s birthday and we walked everywhere it was so close, took an uber when we got tired of walking. I really have no complaints besides the pull out Mattress is not the best quality. But I made it work.

It was clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing at the front desk! Some things were breaking in the room but they were very attentive taking care of it. The location was close to a lot of things. My biggest complaint was a group of guys that were hanging out in the street 24/7 just down from the entrance. There were smoking, saying crude obnoxious things every time we walked by. My daughters refused to walk down that part of the block after a couple times. But that is not the hotels fault just not a selling point for sure.

Stayed two nights, perfect location for the city. Room was a quiet respite from the noisy city outside, comfortable bed after a long haul flight. Wonderful, helpful staff even to book me a taxi to the airport 3AM. Would definitely stay here again.

Dirty moldy bathroom. One room with no door on shower. One room the AC didn’t work and over 4 days they never fixed it. Couldn’t check in till after 430 because room wasn’t ready.

Comfy bed for a good night's rest. Room layout left space to breathe, not claustrophobic. Close to a lot so walking was easy.

When we checked in, I mentioned that we were there for my niece’s birthday. When we got back that night, there were balloons, cupcakes and a card waiting for her. She felt so special and celebrated. They went above and beyond. It was also very convenient to walk to Times Square.

This hotel was in a great location, near lots of places to eat. My family and I had an amazing time.

The location was great. The room was decently sized and sheets were comfortable. But I would say the room needs a lot more amenities, especially in the bathrooms. Adding liquid hand soap, free toothbrushes and toothpaste can be a good step. For a hotel in the middle of the city, the room was lacking the most basic essential toiletries.

Fantastic hotel. After being in NYC 4 times this will be my go to hotel from now on. The front desk staff was the best out of any hotel I have stayed at in New York. Room very clean, elevators were quick. Anything you needed they were up to the room within 10 minutes. Google has you going to the back side of the building to enter so be aware the entrance is on 40th street and the entrance could be a little more lit up at night but that is really nothing to complain about. LOVED my stay here. Highly recommend this hotel.

Once we get there. We ended up getting two rooms. One had the lock on the door was so broken, it wouldn’t open with the key, outlets didn’t work in one room, bathroom wouldn’t close , not clean. I do NOT recommend this hotel..

The only issue I had with the stay was the bicycle couriers all hanging out outside on the sidewalk next door. I'm surprised that the businesses on the block let them loiter there. My wife felt uncomfortable walking through the e bikes and people there. Hotel in great location . Would book the hotel again.

Breakfast limited and brought in. Cafeteria style. No real cooking done there. Rooms look used and abused. Maintenance and upkeep should be better. Towels worn out; thin, ripped and holes. Bathroom doors, baseboards and wallpaper look really bad. Power outlets loose not holding in plug. For what they charge per night this hotel should look and feel like a 5 star. Lady that checked us in never gave us our welcome bags.

We were shown a menu of what was served but limited items were available. The excuse was that there was a big holiday and the food wasn’t available. Maybe they should have written down what was available. We were so disappointed we went to another restaurant to eat.

The room was pretty spacious, the only thing was there was like no view. The biggest issue was the WiFi was not connecting basically the entire time I was there. The area was quiet which I loved, the biggest issue for me was the WiFi.

The location was amazing, the room was spotless and very comfortable but the real MVP’s were the staff. EVERYONE was friendly, helpful, accommodating and so inviting. We were celebrating a birthday and they made a point to send a card and dessert to our room the first evening. It made the birthday girl feel extra special and blew me away with the thoughtfulness. 10/10 would stay there again in a minute.

The service at this hotel is phenomenal. I’d like to compliment Anthony who went above and beyond with our key access. Also, the bellman working Sunday 11/16 (early afternoon) was extremely helpful and personable.

Toilet was finicky and didn't flush. Room never really got cool. Reading light on right side bed was out.

The bathroom could be improved. The sink had a major crack in it and the towels were very worn.

The maintenance technician, Anthony, was the star of the show. First, he offered to move us to another room which we gratefully refused. He then made the necessary repairs while answering questions in a cheerful manner. When he was finished, we offered a gratuity and he profusely refused, asking us to reward the housekeeping staff for their hard work. As I said earlier, he is a star!

Everything was great except, the drains for the sink and the tub wouldn’t drain properly and the water would back up all the time. The was also no fan in the bathroom so things would smell longer and the steam took a long time to clear.

The only negative I had was the staff in the kitchen area were not the most helpful and rather rude when asked a questions Otherwise our stay was fantastic and we would stay again!

This is the only hotel in NYC, and I have been in many, where I look forward to returning. Everything was just right !

Close to transportation , activities and restaurants.

I enjoyed my stay. The restroom always a little small but the overall experience was good.

Bathroom shower is not good, not working properly.

Great hotel!

It was walking distance to everything. Room was cleaned and comfortable. Valet parking was pricey, but expected. The only thing we didn't like was all the shady people hanging out near by smoking weeds. And the elevators took forever especially during check in and check out.

The location is phenomenal and we had a lovely stay until on the morning of our checkout we found an enormous cockroach in the bathroom. Made me horrified our bags were left open over night and we might find a nasty surprise when unpacking.

Our stay was really nice. It was quiet the staff was really nice. It was walkable to the subway, times square etc. I would come again.

Loved it all especially the early check-in so we didn’t have to worry about our luggage and could relax right away

Did not like no fan in bathroom and only half glass shower partition, otherwise good stay, extremely nice and helpful staff, would stay again

Amazing and quick check in and getting us in early after 9 hours of travel!

Location was great. Subway stations very close and very walkable to Times Square and Broadway theaters. Staff is kind and welcoming. Rooms are good. Breakfast is the only thing that I would say left a lot to be desired.

The area around is very unsafe ,and dirty

It was really close to everything and had quick access to the subway and grand central station. The employees were all very polite and professional. My only complaint was the room itself was not in great condition. The bathroom was dated and it was obvious they had done a lot of parches and repairs to water damage. The sliding door to the bathroom was peeling so you could see the flakes at the bottom of the bathroom flooor. The carpet was frayed and was in need of replacement. The beds and the cleanliness of the room was good, it just needs to be updated. But the trade off is that you are near everything and realistically you're not in the room the majority if the time. I would definitely visit again. We stayed on the 7th floor, I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

Great hotel in a convenient location. Staff was very friendly. Having La Colombe a couple doors away was awesome!

Furqhan was polite, friendly, and check-in was fast. No long conversations. Not overly friendly, smile was genuine, was not curt, perfect for reception area. I swear a lot of hotels do not make an effort to hire the right people sometimes and it’s a surprise when they do. This time, they did great! Hire more poeple like him!

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was so pleasant and helpful. Everything was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The location was perfect for the sights we wanted to visit. Will definitely stay there again.

Super convenient and close to Times Square and other attractions. Staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. Great air conditioning for the summer heat. However, room was too small, several power outlets were not working and the shower was outdated and dirty.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. The room was larger than I was expecting for a NYC hotel room. Very convenient to hop on the subway. Would definitely stay here again. The room with the view of the Empire State Building was great!

Prime location

My family stayed for 4 nights and we could sleep in a pleasant room every day. The location is also a big advantage of this hotel. The only bad thing was that there was a lot of lint on the towel and it got on my body after wiping. Overall, I was satisfied. Oh, one more thing to watch out for is the parking fee. The hotel staff introduced us to a parking lot nearby, and guests at this hotel can get a discount. But it cost more than we expected. Be prepared if your car is suv.

Great location. Staff super friendly. Hated with a passion the shower- no door or curtain just a 2 foot piece of glass that left you open to the cold air while trying to use a hand held shower head that was attached so close to the wall you couldnt stand under it. Since there is no curtain or door all the shower water flooded the floor. 😠stupidest design idea I have ever seen. That alone makes me not return but will choose another great location with friendly staff next time!

Great stay. Excellent location, property was clean and inviting, were able to get into our room early which was very nice. Elevators worked great and were fast. Check-in and checkout was seamless and we would absolutely stay here again.

Love everything about it but mostly how close it is to Times Square and Bryant Park.

Great location and staff along with available breakfast however, 3 elevators out of service 1 microwave, washer, and dryer for number of guest and intermittent air conditioning were the only issues

We had a pleasant stay overall—the location is excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. However, we did experience a couple of inconveniences. The AC in our room occasionally stopped working during the night, which made it uncomfortable at times. Also, one of the elevators broke down twice during our stay, causing longer wait times since only one was operational. Still, aside from these issues, the hotel served us well for our trip.

I find the location of this hotel great for our family: a few minutes walk to the Grand Central Station and subway stations, to One Vanderbilt, Chrysler Tower, Fifth Avenue shops & Bryant Park, to Times Square & the theatres, to Macy's and Empire State Building and to Korea Town. We were upgraded to a room with the Empire State Building. Thanks to the management. We were initially given a room with a ridiculous partial view of the iconic building. I then requested if we could get a room with the full view of the Empire State and we were gladly transferred. I was so happy and thankful. However, some minor issues were: AC was not working properly in our room. Even if we set it to our ideal temp of 68F it would not set to the lower temp and would always set back to the warmer mid 70s. We did not report this in our two nights stay (other night was booked direct with the hotel and not with hotels.com) as we thought it would adjust overnight but it did not. Also at night we could hear the thumping bass sound of a night club for hours from the 31st floor! I am a light sleeper so it was an inconvenience for me. I emailed the GM about this issue but I did not get any reply. Despite the minor issues, I would still recommend this hotel as it is a gem just next to Bryant Park.

Good location; friendly staff; clean hotel

However…. The air conditioning on our floor didn’t work from the time we checked in and it still didn’t work 4 days later when we checked out. The city is experiencing a heat wave, and they knew the AC was out, yet they were willing to charge full price for 4 nights. We informed the front desk and management, who sent a maintenance man who did some work in the room and declared it fixed, but it wasn’t. They told us they’d comp the stay, then they said they’d comp half the stay. In the end, they comped 1 night, meaning they were happy to charge us full price for 3 nights with no AC in the room. They told us housekeeping would send up a portable fan, yet 6 hours later it hadn’t arrived. The next day we asked about it and were told it was delivered. When the housekeeper was asked, she admitted taking it to the wrong room, claiming the hotel had changed the room numbers on the doors and she got confused. Even with a portable fan, the room was 80 degrees or more at night. Several front desk staff were informed, and they were trying to be helpful, but the management dropped the ball. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel, and had I known the AC wasn’t working and they were going to charge me for 3 nights while doing nothing to fix the issue, I never would’ve stayed here.
