Booked a king room. Got a double ADA. Was not told about the room availability. Walked into the room to realize. Was told there was nothing they could do. Then took a shower in the MOST DISGUSTING shower I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. It was clogged and filthy. Standing in water up to my ankles.

Parking was very expensive.

Stayed here while in town for a few days and was really impressed by how well the hotel is positioned. SoHo is essentially on your doorstep — we walked to great restaurants, galleries, and shops without even thinking about it. The subway access is quick and easy, which makes getting around the rest of the city completely effortless. What genuinely surprised me was the parking situation far more straightforward than I expected in this part of the city. For anyone driving in, it removes a real headache. The kind of hotel you book again without hesitation not because it’s flashy, but because everything about the logistics just works. Location is genuinely hard to beat at this price point. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to be in the middle of things without the usual Manhattan hassle.

Nice hotel for the cost and great location of West Village, close to Soho. Rooms were a good size and ours was very very quiet. Definitely located in a less chaotic part of the city which is nice. Also very walkable.

Although the staff were helpful and amazing, the rooms were small, the bathroom had a foul odor I could not ignore. The sheets were also not entirely clean.

Front desk clerk was an air head. Gave me two double bed instead of the King bed I registered for. Then she doesn’t take accountability for her mistake and gave all kinds of excuses instead. Very unprofessional

This was probably one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in New York. The area was beautiful, the room was abnormally large considering we were in New York and the best thing of all is how clean it was!

Missing items not returned. The staff confirmed that items we left behind would have been turned into lost and found but nothing was so therefore not found. They were unfriendly, unapologetic and offered no reassurances to help resolve. Beware untrustworthy staff here. If they won’t return art prints after you left, imagine what they’re doing in your rooms with your possessions!

This is probably the best hotel in all of Manhattan. I’ve stayed in so many hotels in the City, but this hotel is simply unbeatable in terms of cleanliness, quiet, location, updated facilities, and stellar service. I don’t think I’ve ever known quiet in New York City, but this hotel is just quiet, quiet, quiet!

Everything great except only one working elevator

Rooms are small but nice and clean. Elevator was down so getting up and down was very long and inconvenient. Still a nice property though!

The room itself was small (as it is for most NYC hotels) but the staff (house keeping, the reception, and the cafe) very kind and attentive. We stayed in the accessible room and the water pressure and temperature in the shower was nice. The curtains moved automatically with gentle pushes, too. Most importantly, the location was great. Overall, very comfortable!

Firstly, the toilet bowl was noticeably stained, which raised concerns about the thoroughness of the cleaning. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but definitely something that shouldn’t be overlooked—especially for new guests arriving. At check-in, we were asked if we’d like housekeeping, and we confirmed that we would. Unfortunately, no housekeeping service was provided during our stay. While we were only there for one night, it was frustrating to be offered a service and then not receive it. Lastly, one of the elevators was out of service. While the staff did mention it during check-in, the inconvenience was still felt, especially during peak times when everyone was checking in or out. Overall, the basics were there, but small issues in service and maintenance made the stay less smooth than it could’ve been.

the only complaint is with the in-room coffee; the plastic tray coffee inserts with a filtered bag in them were not only extremely wasteful but also made diabolical coffee, I am sure a national chain such as this can do better!

this is a clean somewhat spartan place to stay. of course $700 for one night in manhattan is a Ridiculous amount of money. Right? at this great cost, it served our needs for a family event in the city. But for $700 I expect more pampering and luxury. Not here at a Courtyard Marriott But my internal value measurements are old school. Had to alter our reservation and it took more than a few phone calls between Expedia and Marriott. Easier to book directly on the hotel website, not a third party if you need the flexibility to alter your reservation. And for some reason I had the notion the parking was only $60 per night. But it was more than double and required driving to a nearby Icon lot. Driving in via Holland Tunnel, this is a convenient location.

Would stay again for a quick stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the elevators was out of order so getting to and from the room was a bit long but no big deal. Room was nice size for NYC but expect to hear the noise from the street traffic below. We were on the 8th floor and it was quite noisy but again you can’t control traffic and after a while the noise died down.

The managers weren't accommodating to my needs, didn't even make an effort and lied about the reasoning as if I'm not knowledgeable of the process. I end up not even checking in & wasting my money. I needed to switch my reservation to another day because I showed up a few hrs earlier than my expected arrival & was told there were no availability rooms. Mind you, no one even looked in the system. The time frame I would have had to wait was an inconvenience so instead of allowing me to waste my money, another day would of been helpful. I would not recommend that location

After a cancelled international flight, we need somewhere to stay and spend the next 24 hours. The hotel was very clean, all the staff was so friendly, and the location was so close to the subway and food options. Would definitely stay again!

Location and affordability was good for what we needed. Room was a tight but wasn't there to spend time in the room. Staff was very friendly.

Second, we get to the room and there is a huge yellow stain on the carpet on the floor near the bed, and there is hair in the toilet. Then we see someone’s smelly socks in the closet. When we get to the room late at night the electronic lock on the door doesn’t work. We booked a room with a sofa bed. The pull out sofa bed is rock hard - not suitable for sleeping. Never staying there again
