    Affordability Street noise, the bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke and there were hairs on the tiles and sink. I couldn’t sleep because I didn’t feel safe or comfortable. The bed was made up in a way that the blanket was facing inside the bed very uncomfortable.

    The hotel was decent overall; however, the location was not ideal. The staff were not in uniform, which made the atmosphere feel somewhat informal and more like a gathering place than a hotel. Additionally, there was no complimentary breakfast or even coffee available for guests. While the stay was acceptable, it is not a hotel I would choose to stay at again.

    The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location was excellent and made it easy to get around. The housekeeping team was very pleasant and helpful throughout my stay. I also appreciated the complimentary coffee — it’s a nice touch, and it would be even better if the hotel offered breakfast as well. I needed assistance entering the hotel with my luggage, as I had to unload my car on the street and transfer everything to the luggage cart. The street has an incline, and it was difficult to push both the cart and the door at the same time. There is also a small step at the entrance, which made it even harder to maneuver the cart while holding the door open. Despite clearly struggling, the front desk staff did not offer to help — not even to open the door. The attendant was not busy and simply ignored the situation. After checking in, I asked the same attendant if he could guide me to a nearby garage or parking lot. His response was, “I don’t know.” I found it surprising that a hotel employee would not know the surrounding area or be willing to assist a guest with basic information.

    Great price for the area. Our room had no fridge nor other appliances but it was essentially just to spend the nights as we were visiting family in NY, so not a deal breaker for us. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Only downside was the parking! No on site parking and good luck finding parking after 8pm :( overall I really enjoyed the location and will be rebooking whenever I am back in NY!

    I would highly recommend this hotel for its location, great staff, and if you are looking to save money. I recommend booking it in advance. A downside is that there is not a fridge so buying ice outside is recommended.

    Great location, clean and comfortable The shower didn't have a separation between it and the rest of the bathroom so water spilled out all over the bathroom floor. Not a problem for me but it's probably not good for the flooring.

    The room was spacious and reasonably clean. We could walk to the subway easily. It was good value. They let us check in early without a fee. As previously mentioned...some of the surrounding areas near the station could be a little sketchy at night. However, we were absolutely fine and its likely that we are just unfamiliar.

    I literally parked my car Thursday and left it there for 4 days ! So great and safe and I saw it from my window. Jonathan checked me in and remembered me from hotel 1080 and told me to go get some free coffee and water in the downstairs lounge. I got in my room and had a view of the Chrysler building !!! The room was as spotless and smelled perfect. No extra cleaning smells and the shower was super hot ! I don't ish they had better pillows :(

    Location was fine for our needs, and the bed and A/C were fine. But, the bathroom was not fine. The accessible walk-in shower was not pleasant to use. The shower curtain terminated about 18 inches above the floor, which allowed water to spray all over the tile no matter how careful we were not to splash. This made the tile extremely slick. We laid down four towels to soak up the water and the towels remained drenched the three days we were there. This also made the entire room very humid and damp. Also, the bathroom sink drained very slowly because the lever to adjust the drain plug was frozen in the (almost) closed position. No amount of fiddling would allow the plug to open further.

    Pros: only a block or two away from the subway, with a direct line to Manhattan. Quiet, good for sleep. Cons: like many hotels, the shower has no door to close, so water sprays all over the floor. Worse, despite making a reservation ahead of time, they have our room away to people who checked in earlier (something I've never heard of before), so we ended up in a basement room with a really sticky bathroom door that was hard to open and close.

    Clean beds, good window AC unit, able to accommodate for a mini fridge I needed for my medication. Booked two nights with Expedia and had to add an additional night which was handled without any issue through a phone call. 2 blocks walk from the bus station, and 1-2 from the train. Easy to access ice machine, water cooler, microwaves. Would stay again!

    I’m not sure why there are so many good reviews on this place. The pillows had plastic coverings, there was mold and water damage in the corners of the windows, everything was really cheap. When I tried to cancel and get my money back, they wouldn’t let me. Plus the area is not great. Not much to walk to at all. I don’t recommend

    Ac and Heat are fine. Very minimal type hotel. Almost nothing on the rooms. The doors, windows and walls are thin. Noise travels easily. It was clean. Our tv had a issue but we were not in the room alot so we didnt use it much. Its a fairly simple hotel. Works good for us with our son living around the corner.

    The staff was nice, but were all kids and couldn't really help with anything. The rooms are clean but everything in the rooms was cheap and rundown. Sheets were pilled beyond belief and the towels were worse than any gym towel I've ever used. Bed was firm as were the pillows, which is a nice change. People LOUDLY come and go all hours of the night slamming doors and yelling in the hallways like they are at a big party weekend. I had earplugs in each night and I still struggled to sleep. The elevator was out for half of my stay. Thankfully the neighborhood is still funky and interesting. Great coffee at Secret Coffee, best bagels at Riviera's. The hotel is a block or so from the Subway so that is a plus also. Would never stay again and I assume most people staying there that aren't 22 wouldn't either. There are a few *slightly* nicer spots nearby like Nova if you are going to a concert or something at Monarch/etc.

    Bring your own toiletries. Dispenser for body wash is meh. Only dispenser hand soap, body wash, and shampoo provided. No lid on toilet, ew and I dropped a lid in it. Other than that, it was clean, reasonably priced, and convenient to where I needed to be.

    The hotel is very clean, and the beds are comfortable. The staff is very friendly. Check-in and check-out were very easy. The hotel's location is convenient to the subway (J & M trains). There is a drugstore nearby and several restaurants in the vicinity. We could hear everything going on in the hallway, including people talking, shouting, and banging on doors in the middle of the night. The free coffee wasn't great (but it is free!). The neighborhood is pretty dirty (not really an issue for us, but if you're looking for a neighborhood like Williamsburg or Prospect Park, this isn't it). If you'd like to take the subway to a neighborhood closer to the Brooklyn Bridge, you need to go to Manhattan, change trains, and go back into Brooklyn.

    Great location, beds were comfortable They ran out of towels while we were there and went a few days without any turndown service. The shower is one of those door-less showers where it's just a glass wall and the wall is just a little too short so every time we showered, water got all over the bathroom floor. The combination of not getting new towels and having to soak up floor water every day was a little inconvenient haha.

    This was the first time we had an incident where someone went through our luggage and took a piece of jewelry as well as whatever cash was in there. Filing a police report was not in our plans for our first trip to New York. Beware of dropping off luggage for storage before check in and leaving anything valuable. Would not recommend

    Paint everywhere. I’m not sure if I was just having a rough day but when another guest said and I quote ahhh that’s the cheap paint , I’ve been painting for 30 years lol. They are constantly doing construction on the property and the same floor my family is on. It’s the closest hotel to my children’s school so I make it do I guess 😴

    Worst experience at a hotel ever. My better half and I along with our children stay at a homeless shelter. I, myself have been working in the business for almost a decade. My wife was laying down alongside me and my 2 year old daughter. I had just came back from dropping my 3 eldest children to school. While my mom life was laying down fully naked legs toward the door, a male staff member opened the door unannounced and just stood there. I couldn’t get the managers name nor staff members name who entered unannounced. We called police first and foremost and after a hour they pulled up and really didn’t do a thing. We have to go to the precinct and do the whole 9 yards of you will tomorrow. Mind you, the hotel refunded me the money as soon as I mentioned police because they know they were in the wrong. What made matters worse is the neighborhood is located in a place where police didn’t show up until almost a hour later. At this point I don’t care about the money, my wife is traumatized and we are regulars at that specific location. They don’t care about Brooklyn or anyone that is AMERICAN. It’s to attract tourist who don’t know any better. Secondly the way they conduct business is just almost child like. To a degree. No management would step up and I felt bad for the staff that’s just following orders but this is the last time I stay here and I suggest you fix the hotel before placing patrons on the same floor as construction workers and painters.

    The only issue was the area was not convenient. The closest subway stations to the hotel were closed during the weekend so getting into manhattan was a pain. It was difficult to take our dog out since there was also a lot of broken glass on the sidewalks and not many grass areas. I would suggest staying closer to a dog park or park if you're looking to bring your dog.

    We had a very good experience at Bklyn House. The hotel was clean and the location is very accessible. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive.     The room was big and clean. The bed was soft. The noise level was unbearable. There was a party that lasted until 3 am right next to our room. It was impossible to get any sleep. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who actually wants to sleep.

    The room was clean but missing a mini fridge and microwave. The listing stated a microwave could be brought upon request but we were told no, use the communal ones in the bottom floor. The hotel wasn’t sure which rooms had mini fridges so they went searching through vacant rooms for one for us. Neither would be a big problem if we weren’t traveling with a baby and breast milk that needed to be kept cold. There were no cribs or pack and plays available either. Most of our neighbors were very noisy late into the night and slamming doors. Overall it’s an okay stay if you need the bare minimum.

    When I first arrived they had no way of finding my reservation, even when I called the reservation department they said they could see I had a reservation but I had no way to check in at the lobby and they told me they didn't know what to do outside of charge me again because of computer issues and I would be refunded. I'm still trying to get my money back. The front desk staff sometimes are quite rude depending on who you're talking to, and generally seem to have no idea what to do or how to help because their computers seem to be constantly down. In the room the walls are very thin so it was pretty easy to hear a big fight happening next door.

    The rooms were spacious for the area and well designed, it had a lovely large desk with drawers for clothes, and room under the bed for luggage. The free coffee bar and eating area were great for not having to get crumbs all in my room and stay energized in the city. Plan on staying here next time we are here!

    As others have said, there is no full size mirror in the rooms for fit checks, do the best you can in the bathroom. And in our case, I brought a hair dryer as I read there isn't one in the room, and the outlets in the bathroom didn't work. So I did my best. Also, there is no lid on the toilet. But again, for the price and location, these things are minor. The beds are comfy, the heat worked great, people were quiet, and it's on the list of places to stay when we go back.

    The room was extremely basic- no hairdryer, Kleenex, bedding was thin- no comforters. The phone in the room didn’t work at all which was a safety concern. It felt like a hostel for 20 year olds and we had our child with us. The worst was the constant use of marijuana by other guests in their room. We had to line the bottom of the doors with towels to try to keep the smoke out. I had to call on my cell down (as the phone didn’t work) and ask someone to come and ask them to stop. It never did. But from check in to check out, there was always a smell of weed. Within 5 mins of check in, we were trying to get a refund but were unable or we would have absolutely went elsewhere. Baha at the front desk was very nice however. But I believe a more accurate listing for this would be a youth hostel.

    It’s a no frills and affordable option with access to good transportation and nice proximity to bushwick, Williamsburg, Bedsty, dumbo and the city. It’s a NY slice of life! We moved away and came back to enjoy the nightlife and Brooklyn-with a parking garage 2 blocks way, it was convenient, too. There is street parking but it’s always a gamble

    Our stay at this hotel was terrible. I would have given it -1 stars if I could. First of all, they provide cheapest toilet paper if you have ever seen. The sink is not accessible, i didn't know i would ever have to complain about a sink but the gap between the tap and the sink is so small, you won't even be able to wash your hands. The walls are not soundproof. There is a lot wrong with this place. Do not recommend at all.

    Bklyn House was more amazing than I even thought it would be! The customer service was exceptional and very clean!! It was also very easy and a short getting to other parts of NYC from here. There is a strip of bars, food, delis and convenience stores about one block up. Think I’ve found me a New York home hotel !!!

    Bklyn House is a great place to stay at when my family come to visit NYC for couple days. The hotel property offers good services which I kinda like about this hotel. Also, it is very convenient to walk to the subway station and take the train to go inside downtown Manhattan. I would like to recommend this property if you are coming to visit NYC for the 1st time (if you want to spend a limited amount of money).     We were initially sent to the wrong room and had to go back to the lobby (elevator super slow) to find our actual room. The room is clean but that’s all it has going for it. Basically an undecorated dorm room. Bare bones and uncomfortable. Definitely not worth $350 for a Saturday night.

    Stayed here to see a concert at Brooklyn Monarch. Friendly staff, street parking without any issues, train is just steps around the corner, walkable cafes/food etc…. Cable/ Wi-Fi, air unit in the room but the one accommodation I wish were included was a mini fridge. The rooms are basic but gets the job done. Cleanliness would be a 7.8 for me, but could be more or less in another’s opinion. All in all, I would definitely book again here.

    It’s a run down building with extremely slow elevators. Had to use the staircase most of the time. One of the staircases was closed. The bottom area for the vending machines was under construction. Dirty bathroom and shower with old soap.

    Definitely a discount hotel. While room was clean the odor of the hall way was challenging as was the bedding Limited amenities. No hairdryer no iron no full length mirror no cups/glasses in room. Cable kept cutting out on tv. No plug in bathroom.

    Honestly for the price Brooklyn House is such a steal. Looking at some of the other reviews on here and on google and I really have nothing to complain on. My room was clean, didn't have to worry or encounter any bugs. Was right near the Flushing Ave station, and not that far from Montrose either so being able to travel around Brooklyn, and the city is super convenient given the location.

    Upon arriving to the hotel there were many homeless people sitting and laying on the streets. One man was standing but non coherent. When we got to the hotel itself the room completely smelled of cigarettes despite being a non smoking hotel. Then after asking for a new room, the new room had sticky floors and did not look clean. There were stains on the linens. I understand it's not a 5 star hotel but it did not seem as advertised. My partner never felt safe to leave the hotel room unless accompanied with someone. I would not come back or recommend too anyone to stay there.

    Clean room, friendly staff, alright WiFi. Not bad ac. Only downside was the shower lol, since it doesn’t have a curtain or sliding door on the other side all the water comes out so we had to soak all the water up with towels, also the construction we had near by but not anything over powering just a lil noise by that and a few of the people roaming around at night with loud music which would stop later at night but if your tired you’ll probably be knocked out and barely notice. Overall it was good for me and brother & cousin for three nights. If you’re looking for more budget friendly I do recommend! There is a $100 check in fee but I got mines back after checking out on the 2nd day. The subway is pretty close tho so I did enjoy that! 8.5/10 :)

    The noise around the property was ridiculous. Non stop loud music from cars just sitting outside and blasting their music with 20-30 people hanging out. 2 of the 3 nights it went until 2:30-3am. was supposed to have a room with 3 beds but apparently that was supposed to have been removed from Expedia but wasn’t. And why no toilet seat cover? Weird. Expedia rating was 7.4. Yelp rating was 2. Wish I had looked at both

    Some days they forgot to change the towels but apart from that everything was fine in terms of service, the issue of some drug addicts in the vicinity worried us a little but we had no problems, we are aware that it is something that is beyond their control.     We stayed, honestly, because the prices were the best we could find and we really enjoyed our stay. Front desk was always so friendly. The room was large for New York standards and the beds were comfortable. It's a barebones motel 6 type of stay but it felt safe and we had no problems. It's on the outer area of Bushwick so we took the train or ubered everywhere but the walk to and from the train was fine! We would stay again for sure.

    The location was perfect for visiting relatives in Bushwick. The convenience of the Flushing train stop was excellent. The room was sparse, but clean. The bedding was comfortable. On street parking for the weekend was easy to find, no need to move our car.

    It’s right next to the M and J train as well as multiple buses and there are many food spots nearby as well as a Walgreens. The only thing id say was strange was that the shower didn’t have a curtain or sliding glass door to prevent water from going out, so we ended up just putting a ton of towels on the floor to soak up the water that did get out.

    Our hotel room only had one (thin) pillow per person and when we asked for extras we were informed that the hotel does not provide extra pillows. There was also no shower door so water would pool on the floor in the bathroom. The single elevator ran very slowly and did in one instance take almost 10 minutes to reach the lobby. The room itself was very clean but it was an uncomfortable stay :(

    This would was a lovely property with fantastic front desk staff and nice co-working/general hangout spaces. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because it was VERY noisy. There was street noise, the doors on the floor closed very loudly (at odd hours) and the pipes (I'm assuming that's what they were!) were "hissing" pretty much all the time. Again, the actual rooms + decor were beautiful and clean. I just recommend bringing earplugs.

    Nice basic room, clean, spacious. I called ahead to add a guest to the reservation so they could check in, one hour later the same worker 'didn't have that in the notes ' because he never noted it. I found this very inconvenient, as I had just spoken to this worker and spelled my friend's name fwice for him. It was no problem once I contacted the hotel again, and they allowed checkin. The surrounding area is normal Flushing, which could surprise someone not ised to an urban setting. Lots of traffic, loitering, trash etc in the surrpunding area

    room was mediocre, staff were not friendly or helpful. i had confirmed an early check-in time with staff prior to arriving, only to be told i could not check in early and would have to wait in the (very non descript and weird-feeling) basement until the checkin time. no microwaves or water sources in the room, with no ice machines on any floor. this hotel worked as a place to crash, but i’d never stay here again.
