BED BUGS. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

This was a one-night stay due to flight cancelation. Clerk was nice not to informing about were to eat nearby, no water available a vending machine but didn't see till after walk to a store. Called in for food to be delivered since nothing around close. Lady in breakfast room not helpful .

Room was very clean and front desk staff was professional and helpful. Only think break fast items including fruits could be very beneficial.

Excellent hot water output and great water pressure. Did not stay in a handicap-accessible room but the shower is manageable as it is a walk in. Beware of step when going to bathroom. Towels were good. Sheets did look a bit worn but smelled very clean. 4 pillows each bed so that's a plus. Breakfast was hot and the protein changed daily. Coffee was hot and rich. Juice and pastries with cereal options. Designated parking. We had no issues with our vehicle. Location is ideally near stores and restaurants with A ratings. Saw multiple families and felt at ease. Toilet flushed very well! Elevator was iffy. Once or twice the door would not open and it feels as if the panel is about to fall off if too much pressure is applied. At some point in the evening someone left a stink in the elevator, so when we got in we held our breath. Not the hotel's fault. A couple rowdy guests. Walls are thin. If your neighbor slams the door, the headboards move. Keycard to enter small gap between door so you can peek into hallway. Also, no available washer or dryer, but there is a Laundromat down the road. No vent in restroom, so bring your air freshener.

We stayed one night there. Only good thing about the property was that we're able to park in the underground garage after coming from a late-night party. Although unground parking wasn't convenient. Except parking nothing was good. Water dripping from the bathroom celling, insufficient lighting inside the room, tiny old-fashioned bathroom, super small room for 3 persons family. Floor was also dirty. There was a very limited choice of breakfast items for people like us who do not eat meat. We spent over $300 to stay in such a bad hotel. Super disappointed!

We stayed here 1 night before a wedding. We needed to be close to the church & venue & this worked perfectly. It is by highway so you do get some road notice but its the city so it's expected. The room was spacious we had 2 queen beds & we were 2 couples. It didnt have overhead lighting but if you open the shade its brighter. Overall it was good. It had a refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker, iron & blow dryer The bathroom is small but had what you needed. It has a parking lot which is rare in this area. Other hotels near by suggested a public parking lot a block or 2 away which obviously you needed to pay while Best Western had it on site for free which was perfect & secure. The continental breakfast hit the spot. It's more than continental. It had scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, bagels, pastries, donuts, cereals, yogurt, coffee & juices. Something for everyone which made a big difference.

The hotel was really good. The breakfast was really delicious and sufficient. I didn't like the Wi-Fi service, as it restricted some sites like Google Maps. I was also surprised to see a mandatory deposit; maybe this is the new normal for the industry.

Air conditioning wasn’t working first night so I was sweating all night until they changed it out next morning. Then the Internet was down until the next evening and they said nothing could be done about it. Just had to wait for it to come back on in its own precious time

As a solo traveller, here was ideal. Although close to the highway, I found inside the room quiet, spacious and comfortable. I had no problems with my stay. I rented a car and was able to get parking on the premises during my stay. It is also close to public transport and 5-10 mins walk from many different types of food, in different directions. It's about 15-20 mins drive to JFK which was a plus for me.

Location wise it’s good. Gas station literally behind the building almost and you can find a lot of food options within 10- 20 mins drive. It is next to a big highway but the place itself is quiet. One of the big concern in NY is always parking and this hotel does have parking space. I wouldn’t say it’s free as it comes with your booking if you know what I mean. The hotel room didn’t feel clean. The hallway and the internal in general felt outdated. The reception/lobby area is very small and not enough seating options. The room felt smaller than the space described in the description when booking. I asked the receptionist for extra pillows, he checked and said they don’t have any extra pillow but he can give extra blankets. So I asked for 2 extra blankets. He went in the back to check and came back to say they don’t have extra blankets either. What kind of hotel does not keep extra pillows and blankets? Also the elevator was out of order for some time. When I arrived at the hotel my room smelled like cigarette smoke. The guy at the front desk called for housekeeping to fix the problem and whatever she sprayed caused my mother to have an asthma attack. When we turned on the air conditioner to air out the room IT WAS BROKE. We waited for the maintenance guy and he had to take the air conditioner out the wall to replace it. While we all was trying to catch our breath, I went back to the front desk to ask for a room change and he said he was booked but then he miraculously fought an extra room after I started to complain. Upon leaving the next day with all of my luggage, my husband returned to the room and told me that the elevator was BROKE and we were on the third floor, with my elderly mother, so we had to walk up and down with no assistance to check out with our luggage. The guy at the front desk tried to stay professional and said I hope you enjoyed your stay. I laughed and left.

Bathroom for that specific room, the toilet lid could not raise up be it was to clisevto the toilet paper rolls.

I came back from my work after midnight and parking which was already tight was blocked by a car on the street. I had to maneuver and create a spot. Hotel personnel said I could stay there because I was not blocking the steps. I got up early and moved the car. All of this was after driving the neighborhood for an hour looking for parking. They do have lower level parking that from what I could see from up top was filthy. Knowing the rat problem in NYC, I refused to go down there.

Nice hotel with short walk to the Briarwood MTA station for access to NYC. We parked the car and didn’t drive until it was time to leave. Breakfast provided was solid.

The room was good. Only complaint was the toilet was too low to the floor and the lid was restricted from closing, thus we had to hold the toilet lid while urinating. My wife and I have stayed here many times and never had that experience. Overall, we were happy with the stay.

I have a family emergency and I was talking to the front desk at the hotel about trying to leave and get a partial refund for the days that I will not be staying. When the first checked in the first room the fridge was not working, the second room the a/c was not working then the front desk agent tried to fix it which it was blowing air but not cooling properly. We are in the first floor so we couldn’t even open the windows for security reasons. The ice machine was broken we notified the agent and he was very rude and unprofessional. Management is also no help had the audacity to tell me everything was working I didn’t know you stayed in that room. Booked for two days and only stayed 1. Do not stay here

They made sure I had cribs available for my babies when I booked and they were super friendly at check in and check out :) rooms were clean and had no issues at all!

After waiting nearly an hour, Manager Rey Torres arrived around 2 p.m. His behavior was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. He blamed Expedia for the situation and openly stated that he “didn’t care” and couldn’t assist us. Meanwhile, several guests checked out, and a quick search on Expedia showed rooms available, directly contradicting his claim that the hotel was completely full. This experience was deeply disappointing and far below the standards I have come to expect from the Best Western brand. I strongly urge corporate management to review staff conduct at this location and retrain Mr. Torres in customer service, professionalism, and guest relations.

So much traffic noise that we hardly slept and we were supposedly on the quiet side of the building. The room was so “basic” I would almost call it barren. Bathroom was TINY. Towels thin. Do not. recommend.

I stayed two nights and could not wait to leave , the area which the hotel was situated seemed to be unsafe, the room that was given to me was like in a basement , from my room when I looked out of the window i was in the middle of the car park floor and the basement , I felt clusterphobic, I have never stayed in a hotel in the basement I asked the desk attendant if I can have another room he said they were booked , I started to looked for all the exits in case of an emergency , the room was dated need a makeover ,it is in a busy area , there was a guy both nights just sitting at the corner hanging out in front of the hotel which I felt uneasy and unsafe , the A/C was so loud kept me up all night , I will never stay at this hotel again or recommend this hotel whenever I stay in New York,

When we checked in we were given keys to a room that already had occupants. We walked in and saw all their stuff. Our room was old and the keys stopped working part way though. The ground was dirty under the bed. It was a place we could sleep but we definitely wouldn’t recommend or stay at a best western again.!

This is one of the worst and most down in the dump hotel I ever stayed in. First mistake, staying in queens. Second, the hotel, ambiance, the bed, the lousy set up of the toilet. There was above average outside noise from traffic. Noisy guests after midnight talking loudly and slamming closed the nearby rooms doors.. The breakfast choices catered to a limited palate and the offerings weren't appealing. The only thing I could find to eat were stale oranges. Perhaps i should have made it known i was vegan, but I assumed a few varieties of fruits and vegetables would ve available. Then again, i wasn't offered the option of a dietary preference. I dont believe it was worth the price, considering not even toothpaste was provided. Good thing my wife brought same.

The bedding was not clean. My skin itch the entire night. It was changed the following day when I asked. The cleaning staff later inform me that beddings are not changed daily

Not fancy, but very well maintained and the staff were wonderful. They were able to accommodate an early check in after our flight was canceled and we were delayed going home by two days. I was so extremely grateful for this after spending the previous 24 hours in the airport. Free breakfast.

The hotel is convenoently located off Queens Boulevard and near the Van Wyck and Grand Central Parkways. The staff is verh nice and friendly. They have a very good breakfast every morning with a large variety,, eggs, vacon, pancakes, and more. There is a gym. The rooms are larger than most hotels in the City. Near all public transportation

However, don't use this hotel if you're looking for a peaceful night sleep and quick access to the tourist sights. My room was at the front of the building, only a few meters from the main express way to JFK airport (and yes I knew this before I got there). Just be aware it's VERY noisy all night. But hey, welcome to NYC! Also, the nearest subway is about 400m away through a rather rough area. I was fine as it's not my first time in an rough spot, but if you're not used to it, it could be quite off putting going to and from the station for example. It's also the better part of 45 mins on the tube to get to lower Manhattan just so you're aware. Look, it's a city hotel. It's clean, the staff are fine, and the beds are reasonably comfy. Just don't use it for a quiet romantic get away and you'll be just fine.

Customer service was awful. The first person we met at reception was unprofessional. We were not given any information about available services neither cared about our preferences. Allocated room in the seller was dosed with cigarette smell. Managed to move us but resultantly. Before settling down roaches emerged from under tv console, old towels which we carefully left undisturbed. WC fills up almost to the brim that as a man you can't sìt down on it and I guess the floor has not been mopped for who knows when. My spouse has skin infection just over two nights. NY health and safety inspectors should pay a visit please. Breakfast catering however was however superb.

Hotel is little outdated however rooms were clean . Good selection for breakfast, offers parking .

It was the smallest Best Western hotel I ever stayed in. The breakfast was in the basement. The bed is very uncomfortable. Customer service was good. Also we asked for blankets and we were told they don't carry blankets. It was noisy due to being close to the highway.

I don't speak English very well, my language is Spanish and at reception the guy on duty didn't serve me well, he was annoyed by not knowing how to speak English, he made me feel quite uncomfortable; in addition, the hotel was not neat, there was a lot of woman's hair in the bathtub, it was actually a bad experience of the hotel, I feel disappointed

Clean, safe, modern, off street parking, excellent sercice

Staff was friendly and the room was very clean . What I didn’t like there was loud talking in the hall late at night until earlly morning, doors slamming. This was very annoying when trying to sleep.

The parking is a little tight for bigger vehicles but thats my only complaint.

The air conditioner wasn’t working, I called the front desk and asked them to change the room. They said they have no more room available, the way we was talking like he knew that the air conditioner wasn’t working. That was like 3 am, I keep plugging it and unplug it and that’s when it kicks on after one hour later, it was very frustrating

The lock on my door was loose, like it had been broken into before,, theres a 3inch gap under the doors, and an 1inch gap between baseboards and floors perfect for creatures to enter, plus i was on level C (ground/1/2 below ground)and i am a single woman in a room and there was a crazy man screaming in the hallway of the floor i was on, about how he was gonna kill another couple in another room because they were cheaters this was at like 6pm. Breakfast was ok, room clean, thank god the ac worked, parking lot is tiny but there, 10ft from the van wick expressway, not the best hotel i have stayed at, not the worst, just felt unsafe. but I stayed at a better hotel tge next night for less money on northern blvd much nicer but u gotta pay to park at a side site, much safer vibe.,,

The property isn't well maintained. The first room I was assigned the beds were so hard you could feel the bed springs. The second I was given terrible. There were huge water marks on the ceiling and cracks the room above must have flooded. I felt like I was in the project that's the feeling that comes to mind. I stayed because a friend recommended that place but never again. Not at all what I am use to.

The noise of the city is like asmr to me, so I slept well, in a clean comfortable bed. The bathroom was functional and the shower was very good!

The customer service we received from the gentleman working at the front desk was the best we have had in America. We are thankful.

we checked in and was sent to the basement rooms. went too the room and smelt heavy smoke and both smoke detectors have a plastic bag over them. called the desk and was told they were sold out. had to get help from HSKP just to get moved to the room next door. it used to be a nice property idk what happened to that place.

Wonderful place

Even though it’s on the van Wyck, it was perfect for everything room is very clean, breakfast was great. Staff was awesome. I originally booked for two nights, but extended it for four more nights.

Overnight stay due to flying out the next morning. The hotel is definitely an old building but you can see there were some updates completed. The only thing I didn’t necessarily care for was the $150 incidentals deposit but overall, the stay there was fine.

Free breakfast, free parking, close to subway and expressway. Ice machine and vending machine. Rooms dated small but serves its purpose. Elevator and wheelchair access.

New renovations major upgrade more spacious dining area for breakfast. Rooms very clean. Staff super polite. Will be back.

I liked the room. Although I found the hallway very noisy at night. Doors were banging all around at night making it very difficult to sleep. Also the heating system in the room was faulty. Even though I kept it at 60 deg F, the heat rose to dangerous levels at night all by itself. I had to turn it off in the middle of the night and even after that, it took a full hour for the heat to get back to a tolerable level. Needless to say, I slept very badly that night.

I always stay here when I’m traveling or need a quick stay in the city. The property is clean and comfortable. A bit nosey due to the highway and local road nearby but overall the stay is always worth it.

Noisy. Constant problem with access cards. All power outlets are either broken or cant hold a plug. Big gaps on entry door. You can hear guests walking. Stay here only if cant find anything else

I had the most horrid experience I’ve had at a hotel. First of all. I came to the hotel the week prior to this stay and received decent service. I explained to the front desk that I do not have the deposit money but I know it’s not mandatory because I’ve worked for hotels and in the industry for years. Long story short staff kept me waiting in the lobby freezing. I told them and showed them all I have is 29 dollars to my name and will be back next week. I was given a room 9 hours later before 12 midnight so I couldn’t get a refund. Mind you I told staff I was homeless and was bringing an infant. It’s the only way I can spend time with her.

Not helpful & not understanding the situation

This hotel appeared to be run down. There was a sign saying sorry for the noises under construction. We went in our room there was cockroaches all over the place. We chose to leave and not stay and when we requested a refund we only got two days back not three. Probably the worst hotel in town.

The staff is very nice and kind. The room was clean and the beds comfortables. The free breakfast and parking is a great plus.

We were thankful for a clean space at night. The room is spacious. Easy check in. Close to LGA. Unfortunately the walls are really thin so you can hear a lot and the doors don’t go all the way to the floor. Our experience was really dampened - We were woken up at 4am on the second night of our stay because our room was filled with the smell of weed. We called the front desk but they informed us that there was nothing they could do. It was unbearable. We had to open the window in the freezing cold just to be able to get back to sleep. Then in the morning same thing heavy smell of weed. We spoke to the front desk a second time that morning and were met with the same response - nothing they could do. We started to close the gap between the door and the floor with a towel to see if it helped on the third night - not helpful. The front desk was kind about everything but I was just surprised that they couldn’t do anything about it. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Experience was horrible I had my first room switched the bathtub had pubic hair with a very slow drain in the tub… Cleaning was poor. Then I had the room switched and the ceiling was leaking shades were messed up lamp was broken ohh gosh nightmare!
