Reviews
The Ameritania Hotel is praised for its convenient location near major attractions and public transportation. The staff is consistently commended for their friendliness and helpfulness. However, some guests express dissatisfaction with the room size, noise levels, and additional daily charges.
- Convenient location near major attractions and public transportation
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Smaller room size
- Noise levels from construction and outside traffic
- Additional daily charges not disclosed upfront
- Inconsistent amenities and room conditions

Location was great and very convenient for my leisure plans. The overall experience was excellent, and we’d happily return.

are air conditioner didn’t work they had two employees come up and I guess what they call fixed it. It wasn’t working. We slept in a room that was 89° on a 93° day and she refused to give us our money back.
- 3/5
OLD hotel. Nice location but the rooms are very rundown and hallways smell muggy.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was great. Even made reservations for us to celebrate our 15th anniversary at an amazing restaurant. I wish they had a microwave in the room. It was noisy to us because we’re use to quiet and not being around construction areas (downtown). Other than that it was great and within walking distance to everything in Times Square.
- 4/5
It was a little hard to find because of the scaffolding outside and construction that was going on. The staff was amazing and the hotel was nice. There’s some construction going on outside of my room and I didn’t see the note that said I needed to be careful that there might be workers outside of my window and I need to pull my blinds.. Missed that bit of information.

We stay here almost every time we come to NYC. The price is always one of the most reasonable, the location is great, close to Time's Square, but not too close, right in the theatre district for a show, easy walk to Columbus Circle and Central park, easy walk to 5th Avenue. Easy access to subways. The staff is always super friendly and the rooms are comfortable.
- 5/5
Staff was nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
First off the location is incredible. The property is mire steps away from Broadway. It's directly around the corner from The Late Show theater. Not far from Juniors Restaurant and other points of interest. The lobby was modern and clean. We were assisted by Derick. He was very helpful and accommodating. We arrived three hours early for check in, and actually received a room right away. That was a plus. The Positives....The bed was comfortable. The rainfall shower was very nice. The decor was modern. The Negatives.....Cracked mirror in the bathroom. Pa

Very nice location. Excellent and attentive staff. Bright colorful lobby. While there is no restaurant plenty of food options are nearby. Rooms are small but oversized mirror really helps

The hotel was okay overall. The main entrance was nice, and the staff was very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. However, the room we stayed in needed some maintenance—the door handle was coming off, and several of the outlets were not working. Despite those issues, our overall experience was pleasant.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and the room was clean. Close to everything. Would stay again.
- 2/5
When we spoke with the front desk, we were told that city views are not guaranteed and that there was nothing they could do. In addition, there was dust in the room, the towels appeared dirty, and the elevators were frequently out of service. The hotel's location was excellent and one of its few positive aspects. However, considering the price we paid and the issues we encountered, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had.
- 4/5
The help of the staff was excellent, the proximity to Broadway very convenient. Lots of good restaurants in the area.
- 3/5
Very convenient location, rooms were okay

Really don't like paying the "resort fee" for services like wi-fi you would expect from any good hotel. It's really dishonest. Also paid more than I am accustomed to after staying at this hotel many times. It's no longer my "go-to" for a reasonably priced hotel in NYC. Will definitely shop around on Trivago in the future.

What it lacked in plush was made up by an amazing staff especially Jeff. Can't stop raving about the knowledgeable and courtesy staff. For a Time Square property it is great! The room was small but functional. Need more electrical outlets and makeup mirror

The property is in the midst of everything. It’s only a few blocks from Times Square and it was clean. The rooms were great. And the shower was absolutely amazing. Nothing. It was wonderful
- 4/5
Staff are polite, helpful and professional. Room was clean but incredibly small. For the price, I expected a chair, coffee maker, refrigerator or breakfast. But none of these.
- 1/5
The room felt dirty and the sheets were SO incredibly itchy that we couldn’t sleep well. Also be prepared for outside noise like you’ve never experienced before. Between the emergency vehicles outside and the construction that took place nightly at about 2 am, you’ll feel like the sound is coming from inside of the room itself.
- 4/5
The location is amazing Cleaning was not the best. But it was still ok
- 4/5
For the price in NYC I was perfectly happy here. Very nice check in process, friendly staff, very convenient location for seeing theater and all sorts of other fun things in the city.

I had to reschedule my trip due to a change in plans that was NOT my fault. The Broadway show we had tickets for was closing May 24. I tried to move the dates from May 29 through May 31 to May 22 through May 24. I did this on May 20 as soon as we found out our tickets were changing to May 23. The hotel would NOT honor this change and charged me for the May 29-May 31 stay even though I was NOT going to be in NYC at that time. I found other accommodations for the May 22-24 trip even though your hotel had vacancy. I will never stay at your hotel for this reason.

Staying at the Ameritania was like a re-union. After Covid and some family issues, there was a large gap between visits. But upon visiting again, I was pleasantly heightened. I was able to enjoy an attractive deluxe double room. And the staff as usual, was professional and friendly. My best surprise was seeing and interacting with Jeff. He was still warm, helpful and engaging. He made my day.

Clean room and nice service
- 1/5
Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. The room floor felt unstable, almost like it could give way beneath you. The sink in the visitor/common bathroom wasn’t working, which was inconvenient. I had to go down to the front desk to request toilet paper for the room, and even then it took about 10 minutes to arrive. The AC unit was extremely loud throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. To make matters worse, the bed was heavily sunken in and uncomfortable. Overall, the property needs significant maintenance and attention to guest comfort.
- 4.5/5
The location of the hotel was perfect for our trip. We were within walking distance of Central Park, the theatre and Times Square! Our room was clean, had the amenities we needed for an enjoyable stay. Bed was comfy. The staff at the Ameritania was very courteous and helpful and responded quickly to our few requests. The construction across the street started too early! But we can’t hold the hotel responsible for that!

Good location, nice shower, comfortable bed and linens, great soaps. Tv was not smart so basic cable only - couldn't connect to phone or any apps. Window faced a covered alley so couldn't tell if it was light out, sunny, rainy etc.

The property was just off of Broadway and is in such a fantastic location. Just 10 minutes away from Central Park too. The beds were so comfortable and we were upgraded on arrival to a room with two double beds which was amazing. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The only drawback was that the entire building is covered in scaffolding and we weren’t made aware of this prior to arrival. Our room was dark due to there being a courtyard in the centre of the hotel and the building being so tall it blocked natural light from coming into our room, not helped by the scaffolding, as well as a note saying that we should keep our curtains drawn during the day as there is building work happening (assuming that this is in case of people working on exterior of the building being able to see in!) As we were out for most of the day, these things didn’t hinder our trip but it would have been good to know ahead of arrival.

Restroom shower had no curtain, it looked like a Hospital shower. Room was Extremely small for the price! Just a bad experience over all, & far away from all the key point locations. Dont Recommend, will never stay here AGAIN!

Location is great! Easy access to Times Square, Central Park and the subway system. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Rooms are small and for the most part we had to live out of our suitcases. They advertised daily complimentary glasses of wine, but it wasn't available on Sunday or Memorial Day. Fitness Center is a bit difficult to access since it requires use of the elevator that requires assistance to use.

PERFECT LOCATION! So clean and pretty spacious for a NY hotel! We loved our stay and will be staying again!

The so call high speed internet is a total lie. Even the employees will admit the internet at this hotel is a joke and horrible. So if you need to login remotely to work, forget about it (.91 / .63 Mbps, not a typo, cellphone hotspot was 43.2 /28.5 Mbps). Sorry, I would not be staying here again. For the price of over $1300 for 3 nights, I expect more. There are better choices out there.
- 2/5
The download speed was .91/ .63 Mbps. YES .91 download. I ended having to use my mobile hotspot from my phone instead which was 43.2/ 28.5 Mbps If you have to work and require remote login. Forget about it. The rooms are tired and in need of major remodel. A/C was cool not cold. Only thing that was updated, was the bathroom. Super, super tiny, but usable. Also having only one working elevator, yea not fun. Sorry, I would not stay here again.
- 4/5
Good in all respects (location, front desk staff, cleanliness) but in-room housekeeping was a little careless. Specifically, didn't replace bathmat and one of the two washcloths.

It was centrally located The room had some peeling wallpaper and the A/c could not be turned off. I think there was a issue with my unit. The room was very cold. Also there is construction going on so my window was blocked. They left a note on the bed advising me not to open the shade. Very small room

The hotel had a very good location with easy access to Central Park, Times Square, and the subway, which made getting around the city very convenient. However, there were a couple of issues during our stay. There was a constant fan noise in the room the entire time, even after we turned off the room’s AC system. Also, whenever the neighboring room used the bathroom, we could hear the toilet flushing very loudly through the walls. It was especially noticeable at night and woke us up multiple times.
- 5/5
Very clean room and friendly staff. Very pleasant stay and close to all the theaters if you are here for Broadway. Only downside was one of the elevators broken during stay sometimes led to longer waits.

The hotel staff is wonderful. The King Size bed option was very small. Like real small. You must call for ice to the room. They came promptly though and the gentleman who helped me figure out my TV came quickly too. No complaints. The bed was comfortable. Just what I needed for an overnight stay. I will select a different room next time if available.

The cons don’t really matter compared to the incredible service and experience we had over the weekend. Thank you to Sergiy, Majid, Hugo, and Jeff for helping with our bags, calling rides, and great recommendations in the area. Also to Samira, the bartender, for helping us set up an NBA Finals game for our whole family. And to everyone that made our stay so enjoyable!
- 4/5
Our stay was nearly perfect. E enjoyed hanging at the bar at night. And Jeff was great getting us set up with a car home. The rooms are clean but some need a little upkeep. There was one day with fire alarm testing that prevented sleeping in but otherwise fairly quiet for NYC. Be sure to utilize the blackout curtains!

Fantastic, friendly staff, clean room, nice smelling bedding, great location. There is free luggage storage on arrival and departure dates. Bottled water was left in our room and was available upon request at the front desk. Our room was cozy, the shower was roomy and the water was hot. We didn't have a nice view out our window but our room was quiet and we slept well. A couple of things would have made the stay even better. One would be to have coffee available all day. Some guests, like my husband, enjoy an afternoon and evening coffee. Second would be hypoallergenic soaps/shampoo/body wash etc for guests who have sensitive skin. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would stay here again.

Location was very good around the corner from the Ed Sullivan theater, down the street from the theater we were going to, and a little more than 10 blocks from Time Square. There were restaurants at multiple price ranges within a short walking distance. Plenty of power outlets on one side of the bed. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Our room was very small with only 1 desk chair. The view from the window was a dark corroded alley. Although functional, a little part in the bathroom room was broken and when y wife closed the bathroom door a large wall decoration in the room fell to the floor. Although coffee was provided each morning, it was in the lobby 6 floors down. Although it didn’t really affect the stay, the building was getting an exterior facelift with scaffolding everywhere. At least one of the 3 elevators was out of service every day.
- 0.5/5

Hotel Location is perfect. I could understand the renovation, new construction project vis-a-vis...street noise.. I enjoyed talking to the door man, Jeff-he is a cool guy with very good attitude to customers and life. Was cold. No options to buy something for self consumption( plenty around but none in the lobby). Coffee was probably a typical one-americano-too light for me-like a big cup of tea. However every morning had a very good double -espresso from the corner shop. Room was dark and cold, but big enough.
- 4/5
Location is excellent, room was clean and staff is polite. The room did not include a kettle or coffee maker, so I had to go down to the lobby for coffee or tea in the morning. After midday, I had to go to the nearby Starbucks to get coffee

First of all - location. Excellent! Staff - was ok, some people super nice, few - .... :) The room was spacious, clean, and the interior was not boring. Nice bonus: coffee in the morning and iced water all day. Noise - we lived on the side of the street, so the construction going on nearby was very noisy.

We made our decision to stay here because of the location and proximity to the theaters we were going to during our stay. This location was perfect for so much. The rooms were cozy but updated very tastefully and the lobby was very nice as well. We LOVED the daily Wine Hour and took advantage of that benefit nightly. What we DIDN'T enjoy, was the noise ALL NIGHT LONG. Between the non-stop construction, the airhorns and constant drilling (or whatever noise that was) it made it impossible to sleep at all. I know there isn't much you can do about the construction but it really put a damper on an otherwise pleasant visit.
- 4/5
Good location! We loved being close to Central Park and appreciated the coffee in the lobby each morning.

Great location and price for the Theater District. Very clean and well kept. Had an umbrella in the room for when it rained which was nice.

Noisy. Couldn’t sleep, and wake up several times in my sleep. Very bad VFM. Old rooms. Need renovations. Very old carpets. Not a clean and neat place.

The hotel overall was a 10 out of 10 . I was greeted from every staff member from the time I entered till the time I checked out. I visited for my daughter’s bday and as soon as they realized my daughter was celebrating they treated her like royalty. Upgraded our room and even gave her some treats. I even enjoyed the free wine from 5-6 . I will definitely be coming back .

Appreciated the upgrade, but female employee at front desk was super rude. Paying the extra daily fees for use of amenities and water was pointless since we never received any additional water other than first night.

Amazing staff, although the security can smile a little bit more. The place is always clean and love that it’s walking distance to everything. I would however try and fix small things in the room. I stayed at 1020 and my washroom door handles are falling apart. Washroom sinks drain needs to be clean as the water takes awhile to clear. The hand towel rack is not screwed properly. Still a great room though.

A small, secure room, that is nothing more, nothing less than what you would expect. It goes without saying that the hotel is dated, but it is not unclean. The staff was very nice, and sometimes friendliness does go a long way. The darkness of the room was a bit comforting actually, in a strange, cave-like way. Despite being close to the street, I slept soundly. Shower was very hot and easy to use. Old hotel, old rooms. The windows are a bit old-fashioned, so sound insulation from the street is not superb. But, it's just the City sounds you'd expect in the middle of Time Square. Traffic dies off around midnight, and restarts at break of day. There isn't much room in the toilet for placing toilet bags, but if alone, you'll manage.

Excellent location - right in midtown, near Times Square. The room was large and quiet. Great bathroom! Parking is available nearby at a discounted rate with ticket validated.
- 5/5
We had a shower issue that was immediately resolved at 11 p.m. Water still does get outside the shower, all over the floor. Otherwise, the staff is amazing. So friendly. Great location. Close to Central Park, Columbus Circle, Broadway, Time’s Square, and the E train from JFK and back.
- 5/5
All staff were absolutely wonderful and helpful. Would absolutely go back again.
- 5/5
Very nice stay, no noise issues despite there being construction and myself selecting a room across the elevator (larger 2 bed room), shower awesome and upscale toiletries. New favorite hotel walking distance to theaters, Times Square and Central Park, subway. 9/10!!!
- 5/5
Great location in upper Times Square--perfect for a visit to Lincoln Center. I love the retro lobby and common area decor--very striking! Staff are friendly and pleasant, and the room was small but comfortable. Plenty of parking options.
- 5/5
Majid at the front desk was fantastic!
- 5/5
Very welcoming staff, clean room and perfect location for going to the theater, Central Park and Times Square.
- 5/5
10/10 will stay here again.
- 5/5
Great customer service. Hotel in lovely theatre district. Staff were so friendly and they upgraded our room at no extra charge. So nice! Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our time and will definitely visit here again. Shout out to Jeff on security! Very helpfu. Thanks again from Canada!!!!!
- 4/5
The vibrant red lobby is fun and the location is excellent. The staff of this hotel are helpful and pleasant. The construction was loud but it is New York near Times Square so you may want to ask if there is a quieter side when you check in. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
- 4/5
Our first stay at Ameritania and our experience was in-line with some existing reviews. Our room was due for a refresh. The 2 drawers on a dresser/bench furniture either stuck shut or wouldn't stay shut. The bed frame upholstery was worn out. Positive, the bathroom was decent with quick and abundant hot water. The room refrigerator ran quietly. By NYC standards, our room was spacious for price. For seasonal disorders, the hotel had turned off their heating system. '26 NYC was having probably unseasonable cool spring and our room was on the cool side. Staff sent up some extra blankets which showed some empathy. With a couple near-proximity construction projects currently underway, light sleepers might avoid for a while, at least I find the siren chirps of the city soothing.
- 3/5
Room was so small that even bed was placed right next to door. No mini fridge to store any food or drinks.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 1/5
Location is good. There was a cockroach in the room on the last night. We went to reception, but they said they do not have other room. They sent a person to take it and thats it. They suggested the compensation for the night, but when I reached the booking, they did not know anything. I contacted the hotel after we left, they asked the name of the receptionist, who suggested compensation. I answered the email immediately, but they did not answer any more.
- 5/5
We will definitely recommend this Hotel the staff was great we arrived way to early and we were offered our room way earlier than check-in time to accommodate us… ☺️
- 0.5/5
Location Overpriced for such a small and unclean room.
- 2.5/5
Location, cleaness It was very cold in the room - 17 degrees Celsius
- 4/5
Exceptional location. Close to subways. Walk to lincoln center, moma, times square, the met, central park. nice room. extremely friendly staff. Bed is too soft.
- 5/5
It was conveniently located close to a lot of places we went to. We will come again. Nothing

Exceptional location. Close to subways. Walk to lincoln center, moma, times square, the met, central park. nice room. extremely friendly staff. Bed is too soft.
- 5/5
The property was clean and well maintained. The staff was super helpful. My only complaint was there wasn’t a small refrigerator in the room. But other than that we really enjoyed our stay here.
- 5/5
A New York City apartment with room to move around! Very nice shower and bathroom. Staff were very nervous very. The location in Midtown is perfect for us. We will definitely return for future visits.
- 3/5
Bring ear plugs if you don’t want to listen to the air conditioner, outside of the entrance needs a good clean , scaffolding attached to the building as extension work being done. But generally, the hotel is in a ideal location if you want to stroll around Central Park or wonder over to 5th Avenue and Times Square.
- 5/5
Excellent location in midtown. The gentleman at check in was so accommodating. Not only did he let us check in early but he upgraded us from a queen to a king. Very friendly and personable.
- 4/5
Great staff.
- 2/5
The hotel room has a thermostat that I tried adjusting several times but the temp didn't seem to be changing--finally asked at the front desk and they said that the heat (or AC) for the entire building only comes on if the outside temperature reaches a certain temp. What year are we in? And why not either disable the thermostats in the rooms or have some signage explaining the situation, instead of trying to fool people into thinking that they're able to control the temp of their room? My room was cold and the window was drafty, had to double up on comforters to sleep. The bar was nice and the bar tender and staff were friendly, and the building is in a good location. But the building itself was not a good experience. Oh and there's no restaurant, despite Expedia listing it as having one.
- 1/5
Room too small
- 4/5
The staff was amazing. I got in early in the morning. I was able to store my luggage while I explored the city before check in. My room was upgraded, so I could check in early (around 1pm). There is a cute little bar in the lobby, where they have a happy hour, offering one free glass of wine for guests. Jeff was also very helpful. He helped me get a resonably priced town car service to the airport.
- 5/5
Have been here many times and return because it's affordable and it is easy to use the subway. Plus you can walk to Hells Kitchen. Obviously it is next to Times Square. The street noise can be alot, but it is much quieter on the weekends. Easy walk to Central Park and the museums.
- 4/5
Our stay was excellent. The staff was very professional and friendly. Jeff the doorman even arranged for our trip back to the airport, watched our bags between checkout and our flight and was overall extremely helpful. The front desk staff helped with any issue we had including getting a fridge set up in our room when we saw we didn’t have one originally. The location of the hotel is also very nice and there is plenty to do within walking distance and the staff is very helpful in helping you figure out what to do or how to get where you need to go. There are many very nice restaurants within walking distance as well. The rooms are nice. We booked 2 rooms during our stay and the one bed room was quite a bit smaller than the 2 bed, but I suppose that’s to be expected. But they are clean and comfortable and have about everything you need including shampoo, soaps and lotions.
- 3.5/5
Staff was very kind The room was the size of a small box. My knees were on the wall when using the restroom. The carpet, idk it didnt feel clean.
- 4/5
Nice neat rooms, but no restaurant, no breakfast. Nice bar
- 4/5
Staff are great
- 5/5
The room was spacious and comfortable. Majid was awesome with great customer service. Mohamed was also very helpful with a good sense of humor. Overall it was an excellent experience.
- 4/5
I only had a 2-night stay. The location was good for what I was there for. I also had a room that was next to a construction site, and the noise was very loud. They did have an apology letter stating sorry for the inconvenience. So, if you book with them you may want to ask if there is still construction going on. Room was nice, bathroom cleanliness could have better.
- 5/5
Nice place
- 3/5
Location was ok. They let me check in early and late checkout at 1pm. Other than that the hotel was not like other hotels I have stayed at. Outside of the window in my room it was dirt and stacked construction materials. Ground level so anyone could have looked in my room (2nd floor). The toiled was clogged. The bathroom was too dark, couldn’t do makeup or hair. I won’t be back. A few nice people working the door but I wish I would have booked somewhere else.
- 3.5/5
Location Noise, construction, room layout
- 4/5
I've stayed her before and the location is great and easy go get to from the airport via the train. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are a very good size and value for Mid-Town Manhattan. N/A.
- 3/5
The room was generally clean but dated which is ok. I had a minor issue with the tv and the staff responded immediately and fixed it. The quick reply was appreciated.
- 5/5
Very friendly staffs, Jeff and sergiy at the front desk.
- 5/5
- 2/5
Room had several used bandages stuck to the bed and floor. The window sealed poorly and the room was cold. Bathroom window panes were cracked. The bathroom overall was updated and clean. Lobby had free coffee/water and the staff were quite helpful. Good location for doing a variety of activities around Manhattan. We did not park at the property.
- 5/5
From the moment we arrived from the door man to the front desk staff, we recieved such a friendly welcomes and greetings wishing us a great stay and NYC. The hotel location was ideal especially now that we know about the very afforable Uber shuttle as there is a drop off spot from the airports and a pick up back to the airports just a 3 minute walk right at 53rd and 7th. We paid $21.00 to hotel and $25 back to JFK. Ameritania is a quick walk to Times Square, most theaters and Central Park along with many subway stations. There's a variety of restaurants around. The complimentary morning coffee, all day ice water and evening wine were a nice treat. Our room had all we could need for a long weekend stay in NYC. Would for sure stay here again!
- 5/5
It is in a great location. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Rooms and beds were comfortable.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel overall! Fantastic location and wonderful showers! The staff is accommodating and kind! Loved this property. The rooms are nice, good space for a time square hotel!
- 3/5
Location? Perfect. You’re close to everything, which makes it very easy to accidentally walk 20k steps and call it “sightseeing.” Staff were super friendly, and the nearby parking garage is basically a NYC miracle. They upgraded our room because they sold out of what I booked (also my boyfriend’s birthday—timing!). Sounds fancy, right? Plot twist: we went from one queen bed to two double beds. Nothing says romance like separate sleeping options. We squished in to 1 bed (not comfortably) The room itself was cute but showed some wear (cracked bathroom tiles made a guest appearance). The beds were…confusing. One was pretty comfortable, the other felt like a futon going through an identity crisis. Pillows were good, just on the smaller side. Overall, I would stay here again, but I would definitely pass on the room upgrade.
- 4/5
The location was great. The staff were helpful and friendly. However, an 8am knock on the door for housekeeping seemed a little early. The rooms could be updated a bit, but they were clean and at a very reasonable price being near Time Square.
- 4/5
Staff is so nice and extremely helpful. Only complaint was the construction on the building across the street…they should not be allowed to start before 8am. Staff made up for it though! We’ll see you next month Ameritania!
- 4/5
I stayed with my mom, and the one thing we did not liked but is really importan were the beds. The bed we had in our room was too soft and it was not the best bed for our backs, it was uncomfortable to sleep
- 5/5
I had called staff to inform them that we would be checking in later than expected and they assured me that the room would still be available. The entire stay felt safe and easy, check in and check out was simple and made fast. There is no microwave nor fridge in the room we booked, which may just of been a mistake on our end, but otherwise it was a very nice stay!
- 5/5
Wonderful location, very clean and safe!
- 4.5/5
Wasn’t aware it was available
- 3/5
Good location, attentive staff, but rundown property
- 4/5
There was an undisclosed $24 per night residency fee that was not included in the hotels.com price.
- 4.5/5
Exceptional customer service from a warm and welcoming staff. Room had a boutique feel and was very comfortable. Easy subway access and a short walk to Central Park. This hotel is an excellent value.
- 4/5
Decent price right at the heart of NY. Friendly staff. Room size. Could use a bit of uplifting. Noisy environment - but this is what you get when you go to Times Square
- 5/5
We had a really nice stay. We really enjoyed it. It was close from everything and we could walk from there to everywhere. Really nice place to stay in.
- 5/5
Good parking.
- 5/5
Very nice place
- 3.5/5
Great location, staff, and vibe. Didn’t get a chance to use the fitness room, but was also happy with the public area Wifi was shoddy in my room. Just barely good enough to do my work, but a bit too close of a call. I’d be nervous staying here again if I were in town for business and needed to do heavy online work. But for all other things, it was fine.
- 5/5
Overall brilliant and so close to broadway and Times Square.
- 1/5
The halls smelled like marijuana smoke daily. The housekeepers either stole or threw out some of the things we bought while shopping and when we reported it, the guy seemed like he could care less
- 5/5
Bed was super comfy! Never rested so well.
- 5/5
Perfect location to walk to all the shows and restaurants plus a subway station just around the corner! Excellent well appointed spacious room and the staff was gracious and helpful (especially when I had an issue with Expedia). I will definitely stay here every time I visit NYC!
- 1/5
Heat didn’t work, iron didn’t work, outlets didn’t work.
- 5/5
Privacy and the morning tea & coffee facilities were spot on perfect! There were no downsides.
- 4/5
Great location for Late Show
- 4/5
The staff were very helpful. From looking after our luggage to late checkout to getting us a ride out.
- 2/5
The room was not as advertised! We didn't have a work station or refrigerator as I needed. The room so extremely small. As you open the door the bed it right there you had maybe 2 ft between the bed and the wall as you walking space. No room to put your suitcases. I had to store mine on the window ledge with a 3rd of it hanging over the side above the a/c. Only one floating night stand. I had to have my devices and drinks on the floor. It was always dark in the room we never had any natural light, nothing to look at but scaffolding. The bedroom window had a crack going across it and the bathroom window was behind you in the shower, but if you open it as you're showering some from the opposite side can look right at you. If you do decide to stay at this hotel and the amount you'll pay 290.00 plus a night don't expect much.
- 5/5
Okay ish stay! First room was so old and dark pretty sure it was haunted too, 2nd room was facing the broadway. Would i stay here again? 50/50.
- 3/5
The room and property were clean. Bed and pillows comfortable, sheets were clean and comfortable but also noticed our bed didn’t even have a fitted sheet, just a flat sheet tucked in which seemed strange. The feet of the bed were sharp and the rooms aren’t too large (didn’t expect a big room in nyc) but don’t stub your toe on the corner of the bed, it hurts! Staff were pleasant upon arrival. Overall, the value is great if you’re looking for a place to stay and sleep that’s close to Times Square. There’s a bar off of the lobby but it’s empty and not filled and no staff at it. Door man/security person saw me struggling with the heavy door and didn’t open it for me which was a little strange. Floors throughout the property are uneven and it was a little unsettling walking into our room and feeling a big dip in the floor. I would maybe stay here again based off of the value but I would definitely shop around and consider another place if it was comparable. Average overall.
- 5/5
It was a great experience. Great staff. The door guy, Jeff provided excellent customer service. The staff also held our belongings until we got back from exploring our last day. I would definitely recommend this place and also use it again.
- 5/5
Excellent staff, room, location and value!
- 5/5
Clean and good space to enjoy New York
- 5/5
This was my third or fourth stay here. It’s a great location for the theater, symphony, Lincoln Center
- 3/5
Need some TLC
- 2/5
Very noisy construction going on across the corner during the evenings and not upfront disclosures.
- 4/5
Happy hour free wine Close to Times Square, lots of restaurants, shopping and live shows Busy street, no parking
- 1/5
The room is full of bleach smell Wi-Fi is super laggy useless. At 6 AM the clock in the room suddenly ring and woke me up and finally I was just able to fall back asleep. The room service people opened my door at 9 AM. I was still in bed and asleep. Such a scary and a terrible experience. Hundred percent would not recommend this to anybody else don’t live here.
- 5/5
The staff was excellent
- 5/5
It is a great hotel. Well located and in great conditions.
- 5/5
Yes, Excellent!
- 4/5
Perfect location. Staff was great and help us to have a quick check in process. Mr. Sergiy was very friendly and helped us with all our doubts and needs.
- 5/5
did not use parking
- 5/5
Great location! Great staff!
- 4/5
Room was small for a queen room
- 4/5
Location was perfect if you need to be in Midtown Manhattan. Less than a 10 minute walk to Times Square and theaters. The room was clean but VERY compact. It felt tight with only me in the room plus a carry-on suitcase. It was a minor issue because I spent most of my stay outside of the hotel enjoying the city.
- 5/5
Great room, convenient location, nice layout, enjoyed the wine hour, staff members were friendly. Easy check in and out
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Otherwise, clean, with great cleaning services and appreciated free bottles of water and fresh towels every day.
- 5/5
We had a really good stay in New York. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location made it easy to get around the city. Rooms were comfortable and well-maintained. Would recommend!
- 5/5
The location is perfect, close to the Central Park, which is quite and convenient. Staff are friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Very tiny room but good for one night for one traveler
- 5/5
Excellent hotel, excellent location and excellent price!
- 3/5
Whomever did the photography did a great job hiding how small the rooms are and heater did not work. Staff is very friendly though and conveniently located in Manhattan for Broadway shows and taking metro to the Ballparks.
- 3/5
Convenient location for a lot of Midtown activities. The biggest full size mirror I've seen in a long time in hotels. Interesting room decor. Window opens for fresh air. Now the list of concerns. No glasses or cups in the room. No even a primitive tea/coffee maker in the room. So called Tea/coffee service in the lobby was a lukewarm "hot" water (tea did not even brew properly) and a bin.of coffee. Hotel charges $20 daily for 2 bottles of water and access to the gym! Room definitely has seen better days: rundown. Peeling wallpaper, rusted sink base.. Toilet bowl should get a proper cleanilng or be replaced if that "golden" ring does not come of. But the worse thing was the mattress. Not only it was board kind hard (one can argue over the firmness preferences) it was uneven, with ups and downs all over the surface. $299 IKEA mattress is 100 times better than this one! Bottom line: get a room somewhere else.
- 5/5
Morning staff was outstanding , had a issue with young lady on the night shift that was totally unnecessary if she had just made a call to my room
- 5/5
Super well located, very clean

Very good

Siham was amazing!!!

I booked this trip for a weekend in NYC and was very disappointed when I arrived. When we got to our room we were able to just push the door open it was not locked at all, then once we got in, the doors lock did not work at all and was able to be easily pushed open from the outside. We then went back to the front desk where the men working seemed as though this is a common occurrence and not a problem. We requested to change rooms and he said they have limited availability and he’d see if he can send someone to fix it. We then proceeded to wait in the lobby at 11 pm after flying and traveling all day for the next 30 minutes as they got someone to fix the lock. We asked what the process was if we wanted to cancel the rest of our stay with them and stay somewhere else and they told us the only way to cancel and refund our stay is if Expedia contacts them since we booked through them. We then called Expedia and they were very helpful and proceeded to contact the Ameritania. Once they got back to us, they told us that they were not able to complete our request because they could not cancel a stay from Expedia and they needed to talk to upper management. So basically we couldn’t do it because they needed to talk to Expedia but when we got Expedia to do it they still weren’t able to… hmm. They said that management would get back to us in 48-72 hours, by then our trip would be over. The room was not nice, no mini fridge, chair or desk. Its been a week since and we have heard nothing
- 1/5
Unfortunately, the rest of our stay was very disappointing. Our key cards stopped working four times in 7 days. On the day they were changing door locks, we left at 8am returned at 4pm to find our room door wide open with our belongings inside and the lock still not changed. After that, we couldn’t even rest because maintenance began drilling and changing the lock while we were in the room. The worst issue happened at 2:30am when the AC unit started leaking heavily, soaking the carpet and some of our belongings and causing a strong smell. We had to move rooms in the middle of the night. The first replacement room didn’t have working AC, so we had to move again and weren’t settled until around 4am. Management never followed up, and the only compensation was waiving the resort fee. The rooms are outdated, and even the bathroom doors don’t lock. You expect your hotel to be a place to rest when visiting NYC, but this stay added unnecessary stress. I would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Rooms were a great size for two of us and nicely decorated.
- 3/5
Additionally, I was charged a “non-resident” or “resident” fee at check-in. I was told that everyone staying in New York needs to pay this fee. However, the next day I spoke with a friend who stayed at a different hotel in NYC and they were not charged any such fee. This left me confused about the legitimacy and transparency of this additional charge. As a visitor to New York, I understand taxes and standard hotel fees, but the explanation provided was unclear and inconsistent. Greater transparency regarding extra charges would be appreciated.
- 5/5
Great location, awesome hotel. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
I have visited NYC 3 times and have stayed here every time. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, a good size and comfortable. The location is great with a subway across the street and is walkable to a lot of attractions.
- 4/5
I should have rated this hotel excellent except for one front desk employee Sergie who is not all courteous and polite. He should be assigned at the back office and not at the front office. Bellman Jeff and other staff are well mannered to include the housekeeping. Clean rooms and has a good location.
- 5/5
Clean room and nice staff
- 5/5
- 4/5
Staff was helpful and friendly. Accommodated my requests. Free wine at happy hour was a nice gesture for guests.

- 5/5
The staff was so friendly! The rooms were immaculate. The location was great!
- 4/5
Room was clean and staff was good and helpful.
- 3/5
The room was very tiny, bed was uncomfortable, and street noise was loud throughout the night.
- 5/5
My room was really dim, almost depressing. Made me think of the time my husband bought lightbulbs for a hotel room.
- 5/5
The room is stylish and clean. The hotel is so close to everything you want to see. I would definitely stay here again
- 4/5
Rug was uneven and old
- 5/5
Very clean room, friendly and helpful staff, amazing location in the city. 100% will definitely be coming back!
- 5/5
clean room, great size, big bathroom, nice staff!
- 5/5
staff were extremely to respond to requests. The room was clean and had all that we need. The location met our needs perfectly.
- 4/5
Room was excellent, friendly staff, particularly Jeff who went out of his way daily to make sure we were ok and offered advice on places to visit and travelling through the city, he really made a difference. Great location with easy access to times Sq and the subway, nearby restaurants and local amenities. Recommended

Besitos hotel y an amazing staff
- 1/5
Literal mold on the walls.
- 5/5
Clean room, very spacious for New York. Also loved the complimentary wine hour
- 5/5
Very nice hotel
- 5/5
Great experience!
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff.
- 3/5
The room was the size of a closet - full size bed for two people and no night stand on one side. Old and unmaintained furniture. Good location.
- 3/5
The hotel was nice for its value. The beds were comfortable. The rooms could use an upgrade. Getting extra towels and toilet paper was a hassle. Called about getting extras and hours later they still didn’t provide it. Had to go to the front desk and demand it.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and even upgraded us to a king bed room, checkout time being 12:00 was wonderful, centrally located to everything Times Sq related, room was clean and perfect for the price. Will definitely stay here again for our next overnight excursion.
- 3/5
Generally a good stay. But, the shower was just barely with warm water each day. And room heating units are enclosed by the black-out window shades, which when closed then minimizes the heat in the room, especially on a cold day. Elevator key card system does not work well. Staff were efficient and professional, but not that personable.
- 4/5
Location was great, but noisy- bring earplugs. Decor was lovely and bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Hotel staff was extremely helpful, hotel and room were very clean, the location of the hotel is is perfect! You are within walking distance of Broadway, Times Square, Central Park and Rockefeller Center! Cant wait to return some day!
- 4/5
Location was great, room was spotless and staff were amazing.
- 5/5
Room and Staff, everything's very good. the location is midtown of Manhattan, it was a little noisy outside at night and early in the morning.
- 5/5
As always my stay was terrific. The staff is so attentive and friendly. Room was bigger than i thought it would be. The location is perfect for anyone going to theater or Times Square. Located only a couple of blocks from Central Park too!
- 3/5
The stay was very good, However we left a bag on the bed of the hotel as we were checking out, we had already packed our bags. We went back into room and we set a shopping bag down on bed and left it by accident. Called less than two hours later when we realized and it cant be found. :( :( Housekeeping just did not see it. SO sad. Until then we loved it
- 5/5
Fantastic location
- 4/5
Location was probable what stood out the most. It's close to places I like to go as well as restaurants, pharmacy, etc.
- 5/5
Perfect location. Great hotel. Even greater staff!!
- 4/5
The room was clean and well kept. The staff was cordial and respectful. The only thing that would have been better was a microwave in the room.
- 5/5
Room was spotless, great service. Will stay here again!
- 5/5
Staff was so welcoming and went above and beyond.
- 5/5
Great service and great rooms! Really big for NY.
- 5/5
Very convenient location and very clean.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Great time!
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff very nice. Room a bit outdated but great location!!! Super comfortable beds
- 3/5
Room was decent. Lots of outside road noise. Construction going on in the area. They did accommodate me and put me in the back of the hotel so that the noise would be less. One day there was no hot water. The beds are uncomfortable as is the shower. The ac/heat unit would be hot one minute and cold the next. I would not stay here again. Staff was very pleasant and they tried to make it right. Location is excellent.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and well laid out. Every member of the staff was very helpful. Also we were pleasantly surprised they had tea and coffee in the morning. The hotel is conveniently located to MoMA.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing
- 3/5
Lots of noise coming from building work, room was small and a little gloomy, not enough light / airy. Nice location to all nearby attractions.good price point.
- 3/5
Staff was ok. Toilet looked like it had been use there qas poop in there .
- 1/5
The hotel then had no water on day 2, with 30min being the expected time without water. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. The bathrooms don’t have any tub or shower cover and are cold. There were dead bugs in the window sill. The phone did not ring up to the front desk (dead line). I would never stay here again and would strongly recommend you book elsewhere.
- 3/5
Foi tranquilo, porém uma diária passamos sem água, não tinha para tomar banho, e no outro dia quando voltou, não aquecia!
- 3/5
We picked the hotel for its location and that was excellent. The property is a little worn and dingy. It was updated a while ago but places in midtown get so much use I’m sure it’s hard to keep them up. The decor is dark and heavy… but some may find it cozy. The room was quiet though and service was good. The bathroom is so small, no counter space at all, but the shower was good.

Good location, staff seemed stressed due to the storm, however they were always very kind and promptly took care of our needs as they came up. Fridge delivered to the room was very nice and worked well. Daily room service was incredible! Rooms were small, but expected. The one issue I had was the room was supposed to be city view but the view was and interior view which was not pleasant to look at. Overall I would stay here again, especially since we were mainly in the rooms to sleep. The beds were super comfortable. Pillows a little tall for my liking.
- 5/5
Great stay! Clean room, nice facilities, nice staff! A+
- 2/5
The room felt somewhat dirty - when we pulled the sheets back, there was a black hair. The gym is poorly lit and dirty (wouldn’t use it because it felt icky). We were there during a blizzard with hardly any guests checked in. When we asked for a late check out due to a train delay, they wanted to charge us $58 for two hours. The hotel was empty. So instead of a bit of empathy for a delayed train, they chose the money grab, even though it was clear that the didn’t need our room for a new guest.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff, from the doormen to the front desk and the cleaning staff, were all lovely and very friendly. I would definitely recommend and stay there again! Also a very convenient location!
- 4/5
Very courteous staff
- 4/5
Courteous staff and clean room
- 3/5
The location was fabulous, but the room itself was tiny and in need of renovating.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and my room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. I would book again for a solo trip for sure.
- 5/5
It was a great place to stay. Clean and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff and service, beautiful, clean, modern and spacious room!! Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Fue una estadia muy agradable, el hotel y la habitacion en si le doy 10/10.
- 5/5
Rooms was clean and staff was most helpful with my physical accommodation requests.
- 5/5
Clean but mostly the area is the best. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Affordable, clean, great location, comfortable, and friendly staff. This hotel was a great find for us! We didn't love the construction sounds from across the street, but that's not within their control, and will hopefully be done soon.
- 3/5
Property need upgrading
- 5/5
Amazing as always!
- 5/5
Amazing staff, hotel was super clean, great room. Would definitely come back!

Old hotel
- 5/5
Nice hotel and great location - close to a lot of things. Siham and Keenan at the front desk helped us with an early check-in free of charge and the staff was very helpful overall! We enjoyed our stay, will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Clean room, quiet- no outside city noise
- 5/5

- 5/5
A great hotel!
- 5/5
All was perfect
- 5/5
Jeff was very nice and attentive as well as the front desk was able to accommodate all of our needs
- 5/5
Only had stayed for 3 days, but the staff were very nice and helpful when asked questions about their facilities. The area was also very nice since you are close to everything within Times Square, so a lot of things are in walking distance.
- 5/5
All staff were great.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the price was good even though it is located at the walking distance from the Times Square. The building is old but its well kept. If you are visiting the city and not plan on spending too much time at the hotel, its a fair choice.
- 5/5
Great and helpful staff, felt very secure there. Perfect location bc of the subway station being next to it, broadway theaters, and easy walks to 5th ave and other great local spots. Very clean, great amenities, plan on coming back to New York in a month or two and will be staying again!
- 5/5
The bar was great
- 2/5
Noise from the street made sleeping almost impossible. Understandable if it’s a busy NYC street but windows on lower levels should be soundproofed. Handy location though for everything we wanted to do.
- 5/5
Had a really great time, the front desk was very helpful with my situation, would stay again.
- 4/5
It was a nice stay, well located and close to Time Square
- 5/5
easy check in,helpful desk and porters
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Jeff was very obliging and a pleasure to speak with.
- 5/5
Good overall
- 5/5
Clean! Great location!! Great staff. Friendly and helpful
- 1/5
My flight was canceled and i never made the trip because of the airlines but expedia still was unable to communicate with the property and get me refunded even tho i provided the necessary paperwork from the airlines.
- 5/5
This was a lovely boutique hotel in a great location. The bed was very comfortable and staff were very helpful. It's an old building, so expect some wear and tear. We had an issue with the door handle and lock being loose, but they fixed it right away. I would absolutely stay here again.
- 3/5
Need maintenance.
- 4/5
Conveniently located easy walk to Central Park Time Square and other places very pleased with my stay, thank you so much Sonya
- 5/5
Amazing hotel
- 5/5
Our first interaction with the hotel was a phone call re our flight being delayed, meaning we would not arrive until the early hours, when we called to advise the reply was 'sorry your flight was delayed but i will make a note on your booking and i will be here to get you checked in very quickly so you can get some sleep'. This was very reassuring. We initially had a room on the street side and due to me being a light sleeper the street noise kept me awake .. i want to point out this is not the hotel's fault, its the joy of being in a city that never sleeps and was not consistent all night it was just felt worse by me being a light sleeper... we spoke to reception and they advised if we packed our bags and left them in the room pre 12pm and come back at 3 pm, they would then sort us an internal room and move all our belongs to the new room. These 2 acts of kindness made our trip along with the hotel being clean and all staff members always being friendly and welcoming and but we will definitely be back to this hotel the next time we visit
- 1/5
Expected and not as a picture show
- 5/5
It was very good experience
- 5/5
The room 405 to be specific is a very nice Clean room and spacious room for three of us. Front desks are so nice. They even gave the room for us earlier than our check in as it was already cleaned. Close to everything free coffee every morning in the lobby. We enjoyed our stay Overall.
- 5/5
The staff was great overall my stay served its purpose
- 5/5
Clean room and a friendly staff
- 5/5
Clean room. All staff members were so kind and helpful. They even had a service to take us to the airport after checkout. Quiet room with no issues. Close walk to Central Park, Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, and Rockefeller. Good selection of restaurants, coffee, and gift shops near by. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Great staff as always. 3rd time at this hotel due to proximity. Remember to come back btween 5 to 6 for free cocktail (i was never lucky ebogh)
- 5/5
Great location!!
- 5/5
Love this hotel. Stayed there many times. It’s quaint, convenient location and the rooms are very nice.
- 1/5
- 4/5
Good location. Typical NYC small hotel rooms. Bell staff great but front desk staff rude and not helpful. Said they would not Check-in anyone until 3 pm, so line at 3pm and able to get everyone there rooms right away, which means the rooms were already ready. Should have system to notify guests when rooms ready.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 3/5
Did not visit bar. Workout room needs renovation. Not easy to access.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay, very convenient to all the main things like Central Park, Rockefeller center, time square…etc. All walkable. Staff were very nice and helpful. Had a few issues with the room itself (lock on door was not working properly, leak that came from room above) but nothing they couldn’t fix right away and or accommodate! Rooms are small but it’s to be expected in New York coming from a person who’s from Texas, still had enough room to do what was needed. A lot of restaurants and entertainment close by. Everyone and everything was satisfactory and advertised correctly. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel
- 5/5
Very good stay. However, the room temperature was too hot and we requested a fan 3 times during the evening and none was brought up. In the future, they need to be more responsive to this request.
- 5/5
Room was nice & clean. We loved our stay & would definitely book here again.
- 3/5
Coffee was cold, no restaurant and the bar was small
- 5/5
Clean room and very kind helpful staff
- 3/5
Dirty and very outdated room. Hotel needs a severe renovation.
- 5/5
Excellent experience, the room very clean ,the staff very kind and friendly specially the gentlemans at the front that help you with the luggage or anything you need.Good location, highly recommended.
- 5/5
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was extremely friendly and helpful!
- 1/5
Horrible front desk service and uncomfortable bed. Made it difficult to stay there.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Rooms were clean and nice. Front desk and staff were very friendly. Highly recommend!
- 4/5
Neds were comfortable
- 5/5
Great hotel experience! The lobby is cozy and inviting - we especially liked the somewhat separate seating area by the fireplace (not a real fire - electric/gas - but puts off cozy heat!) with the bar nearby. Our first night there (Thursday), they had a screening of National Lampoon's Christmas movie in the bar area - I don't know if they do movies every night, as we were out and about the other nights, but it was enjoyable. Each evening, they do free wine between 5-6 PM, so make sure you take advantage of that. The room was well-apportioned with two tall windows, a TV, small fridge, and a healthy-sized bathroom. Worth noting is that the shower is an open shower, nothing to separate it from the rest of the bathroom. It came with a small rolling cart to store toiletries (windowsill is also deep enough to store things there, too) - everything was clean. They do offer coffee and tea in the mornings, apples throughout the day, and each day when the cleaning service comes, they leave bottles of water. All in all, a terrific experience - right at Times Square, and was a 13-minute walk from Lincoln Center, and a 13-minute walk from St. James Theater on Broadway - very convenient and centrally-located to everything. It was a short walk to Central Park, as well. We would definitely stay here again. Very friendly staff, as well.
- 4/5
Staff were extremely pleasant. Shower curtain fell on us. And didnt like the doors not automatically shutting.
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
The hotel is dated and needs help. But the bed was comfortable and the staff were awesome. Great location and easy access to the subway. So what the hotel lacks the staff and location make up for it but it still needs a facelift.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and even provided us with options for which room to be assigned, clean hotel, updated comfortable space, walking distance to so many sights, elevators were quick, beds comfortable… I can’t say anything negative about our stay! Would definitely stay here again
- 5/5
Room was clean, spacious shower great staff
- 4/5
My room did not have a refrigerator. The AC worked intermittently.
- 5/5
Love this place! Staff is wonderful and rooms are great:). Location is perfect.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent!
- 5/5
Helpful employees
- 5/5
Love the staff! The room was nice and clean as well.
- 4/5
Great location
- 2/5
Website said that a king bed room sleeps 3, no roll out beds available anymore. 3 people had to sleep in 1 bed. Didn't feel like i got what i paid for. Never had enough towels. Constantly had to call for towels
- 5/5
Great staff, great location, and great value! Def will return
- 5/5
The staff are very friendly and helpful! The right location for everything!! The room is very comfortable as well!
- 4/5
Exquisitely kind and accommodating staff, friendly and genuinely happy to be on the job. Bathroom fixtures on the cheap side, but functional. Walking distance to Time Square, not directly at it.
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic, staff was super friendly, ready to help in any way..
- 5/5
The staff were very attentive and the rooms were clean
- 3/5
Clean but old
- 2/5
The room felt neglected, the toilet pipe needs repair, and overall it did not meet my expectations for the price paid. Additionally, there was spilled gasoline in the elevator, and both the elevator and lobby smelled strongly of gasoline throughout my entire stay.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Second stay after 12 years. Great hotel with great value. Recommend!
- 4/5
All good !! 👍👍
- 5/5
Great location in front desk was awesome
- 4/5
Room very clean; staff was very pleasant and helpful. Coffee in lobby was good and hot! Need to upgrade to queen size beds and triple-paned windows. Trucks outside sounded like they were in the room with us. Great deal on parking with their designated garage. Excellent location.
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean and the location is great. Not much more we could ask for in a hotel.
- 5/5
A small room for a good price. Clean, neat and good quality room and environs.
- 5/5
This is our second stay here and the hotel is amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Every one of the doormen where exceptional. They helped us in and out, conversed with us, arranged to hold our luggage after checkout and reserved transportation to the airport. They seem to love their jobs. Made our start so pleasant.
- 2/5
Rooms are super small, furniture some wore down, no drawers, safe box didn’t work, mattress needs to be replaced for new one, AC system needs to be replaced, very noisy
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
Great location near the subway, walking distance to bars, restaurants, Central Park, and Broadway shows. Clean hotel, quiet, fun vibe, nice staff.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
The room was small, but met my needs. Water was provided daily. It was easy to get an elevator. The room was cleaned daily. It was easy to maintain a comfortable temperature
- 5/5
Everyone was friendly, rooms were beautiful and clean
- 5/5
It was a wonderful place to stay
- 1/5
my room was 85 degrees each night...thermostat didn't work. They shut the heat off in the middle of the night both nights of my stay to then wake up to a 50 degree room.
- 4/5
The staff is very nice. The room was very sparse- there wasn't even a stand for the suitcase or drawers to unpack into. We had one fewer person than last year but it felt more cramped. The location is excellent!
- 5/5
Was giving the wrong room but was accommodated right away and had a nice stay.
- 5/5
The hotel is closed to everywhere. I just walked to Times Square, Rsdio City, Central Park. And I take subway to everywhere.
- 5/5
Amazing staff, convenient location, 5 stars
- 5/5
We really enjoyed staying here. The employees were super nice and went out of their way to help. The doormen were awesome from check in to departure! The building is older but it’s nice! We chose the queen bed option and it is tiny for 2 people with big luggage! I would stay here again but I would choose a double bed option for more space! This hotel is convenient to great eating, coffee shops with cute cafes & walking distance to pretty much anywhere you need to go from 34th St up, 6th-8th Ave and Broadway! Overall great 1st experience to NYC!
- 4/5
Overall we had a nice stay. Only issue was getting the room at the right temperature overnight as it was a bit too warm for us, but we were fine. Thank you
- 5/5
staff was amazing,location even better
- 3/5
Las camas son muy pequeñas y el aire acondicionado suena mucho adicional las sábanas me picaban en mi cuerpo.
- 4/5
Hotel staff were amazing, location was perfect and within a few blocks of two different subway lines. The beds were the best thing about the hotel...phenomenal. Hotel you could tell was a little dated or older although they tried to make it look new or remodeled. We would likely stay again for the staff, comfort and location. Perfect to have an easy walk for Macy's Thanksgiving parade
- 2/5
Small room was as expected and clean. The area felt safe and was convenient. Din Tai Fung is so close and has great late night snacks and drinks. Would be a good visit once the construction is complete. The staff were very friendly. Key cards are rather finicky.
- 5/5
The location was awesome! Staff was great, friendly and allowed early check in. Rooms were super clean and cozy with daily housekeeping
- 5/5
The staff was very polite and they were very helpful. Anya at the bar was AMAZING!!! This is a great hotel to stay at and I would recommend it to anyone. We will definitely come back again!
- 5/5
Staff were extremely nice! Accommodated the NYC Marathoners with an earlier breakfast option. Clean and comfortable!
- 5/5
Hotel was in a good location, rooms were clean and staff was very helpful. Walking distance to subway and Times Square. We went to Macys Day Parade and was easy to get to parade route and back to hotel.
- 5/5
Staff were nice, hotel room clean, great location
- 5/5
Thank you so much Ameritania XOXOXOX We can’t wait to visit again. Lucienne and Daniele
- 5/5
Staff was incredible, clean room, coffee in the morning and cold water at reception was an incredible treat
- 5/5
Very good
- 1/5
The worst was the attitude of the front desk manager at 230P on Sun Nov 23. On sharing my observations with him. He was completely unapologetic.
- 5/5
Very cozy comfy room. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Nice, clean, close to everything. Ron at Front desk was amazing!
- 4/5
A Hotels issue - it was advertised as having a restaurant and doesn’t. However the main frustration was no coffee machine in the room.
- 4/5
Staff was attentive and friendly
- 5/5
Everything was excellent!
- 3/5
No hot water for shower and trucks and people making a lot noise all night couldn’t sleep, then again NYC, but still the windows weren’t sound proof enough. A lot of light coming into door and windows even with it shut
- 4/5
Very professional and courteous service from the front desk/reception staff. Conveniently located - close to all major tourist and local sights, attractions etc.
- 4/5
Great location, parking across the street and hotel validates parking for $12 discount.so close to Times Square
- 5/5
Great staff and rooms are always clean. Solid stay at a fair price
- 5/5
Good location
- 3/5
There was lots of damaged
- 5/5
Nice room. Good price. Good location. Hassle free.
- 4/5
Good value and as described. Very friendly and courteous staff
- 5/5
Great service and location. Surprisingly quiet!
- 5/5
Stayed there for business trip, nice hotel and nice staff. They offer lemon/cucumber water during the day, coffee and tea during morning. Room is quiet, and easy to get around in the city.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and in a great location. We appreciated that there was bottled water in the room and ice water available in the lobby. Also, the pillows on the bed were so comfortable.
- 5/5
Always a great stay at Ameritenia. Great staff. Comfortable rooms, nice size for NYC standards, with nuce bathrooms. And the location is great for business and pleasure (but be aware a 60-ish story highrise is just going up across Broadway with lots of construction).
- 3/5
Clean, nice staff, close to Times Square, good price. Windows not well insulated: bring a white noise machine for street noise construction (which was going on in the middle of the night). Elevator button lights were broken and the other elevator didn’t work properly. Needed to get staff to help me use them.
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Water pressure good. Staff very friendly. Kudos to Annabelle for helping me store some medicine. I would return
- 5/5
It had what was advertised, friendly staff, clean room, perfect location.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, great marathon morning breakfast spread. The rooms were small but modern and nice. My only complaint was how hot the room was, I could not turn down the thermostat. My fault for not contacting front desk.
- 4/5
Staff couldn’t have been kinder, but the elevators are having a very hard time reading key cards for all guest. And I couldn’t get my room colder than 75° the first night eventually, I realized I had to move the curtains off of the intake for the heater/air conditioner. But they didn’t know that was the problem.
- 5/5
Room was clean and very friendly and helpful staff
- 5/5
Great location , small room but it worked for us
- 4/5
Staff were very helpful and clean room
- 5/5
Thanks for the supoort for the marathon runners! Staff very friendly abd accommodating
- 3/5
The sheets in the room appeared scuffed and dirty around the edges, probably from rubbing against the bed frame. The air conditioning did not cool the room to the selected temperature. The room was very dark. The hotel is convenient to the Times Square area and Columbus / Central Park.
- 5/5
The location was perfect for NYC marathon and room made up very well for our second night. Elevator/room keys a bit of a pain to use 100% well. Many kept having problems accessing their floors. Dusting could be improved for the not so obvious surfaces of the room. Lastly…placing a desk and chair against a bed makes it practically impossible to use? And a mini fridge UNDER that desk? Tiny room layouts need work.
- 4/5
Wonderful location!
- 4/5
The hotel was in a fabulous location. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms are old, but the bed and pillows were very comfortable.
- 5/5
The staff at the Ameritania Hotel was exceptional! From the bell man, the front desk and also room service. The front desk staff, Derrick was so helpful and friendly. I liked the location, it was close enough to enjoy a walk and see sights like Central Park. There is a lot of food options and cool bars around. I would highly recommend this stay.
- 5/5
Good location.
- 3/5
Hotel location is great and staff was pleasant. Room was quiet.
- 3/5
Very shabby and needing lots of updates and repairs. Very disappointed for this price
- 3/5
The location of the hotel is great, close to park and theaters. Staff is nice. Overall the room was clean but tired could use a major update.
- 5/5
The staff were wonderful.
- 3/5
The room we got was too small (recepcionist warned us about it, but explained that it was the only available at that moment). He was really gentle by the way. The room as well as the bathroom seemed renovated. The location is perfect if you want to stay near Times Square and famous theaters, Central Park, etc.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing.
- 5/5
Staff and fast checkin
- 5/5
Great room and location!
- 4/5
Rooms are small but clean. Comfortable beds. Modern bathroom. Great location
- 3/5
The staff were super nice. However the rooms are extremely small and are showing some wear and tear. Definitely not a $500 plus a night place I would stay again even with an amazing location.
- 5/5
Great location. Clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
The room was small, but didn't matter much as we were only there to sleep. It was very clean, the staff was very helpful and cheerful.....something you don't always find in a hotel. Location was good - just a few blocks south of Central Park and 4 or 5 blocks north of Times Square. Numerous deli's around for breakfast. The hotel offered a Happy Hour that we didn't notice until we were leaving so didn't attend. Would recommend.
- 3/5
The heating system was not working was extremely hot in the room
- 5/5
yes
- 5/5
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, rooms were clean. We were given an interior room that was protected from street noise. The doorman helped us get a good deal on a taxi to the airport. Would definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
Staff was great, and the room as small but clean and nice
- 2/5
No clue
- 3/5
The room is definitely not what I was expecting, between the shower not actually having a shower door to half of the things in the room already being almost broken was not worth it. The room gets hot extremely quick and the AC doesn’t work at all. I tried to call down to the front desk and the phone got a dial tone. I’m glad it was only one night because staying there for more than one night would’ve been horrible. I would recommend look into other hotels before booking this one
- 5/5
It's an older hotel, but the staff accommodation made this a wonderful night's stay.
