    The hotels in a great location the staff was wonderful nice rooftop. Nice cafe the room is a lot smaller than it states on Booking.com. There’s no closet, the pillows feel like there are marbles inside. There’s no room for us to put our suitcases down in the room. Disappointing

    There was no shower curtain in this room, the tv and phone did not work, so I had to go back downstairs for a second time to have maintenance come and fix it. Next day the toilet flusher panel fell off the wall; I called for maintenance and after an hour of waiting, I decided to fix it myself. When the maintenance guy did show up he said they had just called him! The restaurant staff were friendly at breakfast, and the rooftop has a beautiful view. There were a couple of friendly front desk people, but unfortunately management did not compensate for the inconveniences, so for that reason I will not stay there again.

    The hotel itself is nice. The staff upon arrival was super friendly and accommadating. The staff cleaned the rooms literally everyday we were there (Tuesday - Saturday). The rooftop bar views on both sides were absolutley stunning. The drinks and bar was a vibe. Definitely have curated drinks. Bartenders were serious about their mixology lol. Loved it. The only negative for us, just too expensive for such small rooms. Very tight space in the actual rooms. Too expensive for the location. It's legit on the side of port authority station which is not the best and cleanest area. Lots of riff raff in that area. It's NYC so everything is walkable which is awesome I just felt like it was too highly priced. Otherwise, not bad and it was comfy for when we needed to sleep / shower etc. Hotels are not widely used to stay inside all day so this was comfy enough for the purpose it served.

    Picking a hotel is one of the hardest parts for my trips. I could not have picked a better hotel this trip!! My partner and I were both blown away with the view and how nice and helpful staff was. Welcome drinks for both of us were given the second we arrived and they let us check in early! The ONLY complaint I can think of is the price of breakfast if you don’t have it included in your stay! If you’re looking for a hotel… stay here !

    The hotel is located within a great distance to Times Square and Broadway and the Hop-on Hop Off Buses and central for other locations if you don't mind a moderate walk. We ended up being able to easily wall to Empire State Building, Central Park, Madison Square Garden and the Pier area during the day. The room was clean and comfortable and bathroom was good size. Coffee making facilities were available in the room and a couple of bottles of water were available in the small room cooler/fridge. The rooms were quite quiet given the location to a busy part of town. The welcome cocktails were a nice addition. The hotel has a rooftop cocktail bar, however for all nights of our stay it was unavailable to access as a guest as it was always closed for private functions. This also meant that the lifts were reduced to only two for hotel guests at peak times, which caused them to be slow and packed on several occasions. As the room sizes are on the small side, it made it very difficult to have larger suitcases in the room.

    We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The staff were helpful and friendly, our room was clean and comfortable, and the bar had good strong drinks. We had the chance to enjoy the breakfast downstairs and it was amazing! They give you complementary drink vouchers when you check in and all you need is one because the drinks are nice and strong. The well elevator can get a little backed up during peak times, but nothing crazy. We loved how it was within walking distance of everything. The train station is right around the corner as well as the hustle of Times Square. The main thing that I loved about the location is it’s close enough but not too close. The room was really clean with a nice big king sized bed and the bathroom was beautiful. We’ve most definitely added this hotel to our list and we’ll be back soon.

    It is a newer remodel One of our rooms smelled like smoke so bad we had to move to another room but the new room wasn’t available for 24hrs The roof top restaurant makes it cumbersome with the elevators The restaurant/bar should have its own elevator Lobby bar staff didn’t know what wines it had in stock and the menu doesn’t tell you Makes ordering room service difficult Maintenance and housekeeping were not helpful with the smoking room situation but the desk staff in the lobby were thoughtful

    Highly recommend. The staff were amazing, the rooms were clean, and the location is perfect for exploring. The only thing that should’ve been included was breakfast (it’s included if you book through them directly) It’s not worth the price, it’s a tiny buffet for $30 a person. Other than that, the stay was worth the price!

    Great location and nice staff. Our room was clean with a nice bathroom. However, having to wait for the elevator was no fun (a common complaint with many NYC hotels). Only stayed the one evening for a concert, so didn’t have a chance to partake in the amenities, but overall feel this will be the only time staying at this hotel.

    The breakfast was horrible wasn’t very impressed, their major issue is the elevator they had one not working and seemed like took for her since they have a rooftop bar that has priority to the elevator. Our cleaning lady never checked our shampoos that is almost gone plus I had no refrigerator in the room I had to call to request one

    The hotel is nice and comfortable. The elevator situation is the only downfall. Don’t be in a hurry to get to your room or from your room to the lobby because there’s really only 1 elevator for guests. The rooftop has their own elevator and disregards the guests waiting in line-yes a line- to get to their room. One elevator was down. So if they can figure this out, I’d give more stars.

    The “buffet” cost $31 per person and was no different than what majority of hotels give you as included in a continental breakfast. The “Belgian waffles” were frozen waffles you place in a toaster to heat, they were not fresh. The best part of the breakfast was the croissant. With all that said, the staff was fantastic. Very nice and happy to answer all of our questions and help where they could.

    The location is also excellent, its right in the heart of the city and close to everything. We were able to walk to Times Square and many other attractions nearby without needing to take an Uber, which made everything so convenient. Another great point is that the hotel offers internet access, which worked very well and made our stay even more comfortable. We stayed on the 38th floor, and the view was just breathtaking, truly beautiful and unforgettable. The room itself was spotless, very well-maintained, and extremely comfortable. Everything, from the beds to the bathroom was clean, organized, and felt high-quality. The overall experience exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere, the service, the cleanliness, and the convenience were all top-notch. It really made our trip to New York even more special. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to New York, and I’ll be recommending it to all my friends and family. I absolutely loved this hotel; 10/10, highly recommend!

    Mattresses were way too soft. Elevator was slow and crowded but tolerable. There was no written material in the room to tell us about the amenities in the hotel and the hours and price for breakfast. I did not know there was a gym or ice machine in the basement until we accidentally rode the elevator to the lower level. I was surprised we weren’t told this information at check in, but it would have been a lot to retain at a late evening arrival I would book here again.

    The room was clean there were a few stains towards the ends of the sheets on one of our double beds but we are not too sure if we caused that or if it was there prior to us entering the room, but we have stayed in worse so 4-star for cleanliness. Staff was amazing, they were so sweet and after our first night we received a check in call from the front desk asking us if we were enjoying our stay and if they could help us with anything which was greatly appreciated. The only inconvenience we really faced were the elevators, Aliz hotel has a rooftop bar open to the public which is expected to be busy in relation to our stay in the weekend and its location in Times Square, but the wait times on the elevators tended to be over 6-8 minutes on a average and they were pretty cramped. Overall, I definitely see myself and my family booking here again!!!!

    Basic room but nice. No view but good price. Location is the win, we were a block away from everything in the universe. Our issue was lack of ventillation. Locked windows and no exhaust fan meant the room was just stagnant air. Pair that with a guest with IBS and a weird toilet that had almost no water in it, made for a difficult week. If the comfort of the toilet/bathroom is important to you (this neighborhood has amazing rich food every step), look for a different spot. If not, great hotel. The location is perfect.

    Do not stay in this hotel they will nickel and dime your credit card to death they put holes on One credit card and charge other ones never give you a clear explanation why they're charging you staff is very unprofessional we were told we had breakfast included in the morning then was not able to have breakfast that was an additional charge after we were told we could a manager talks to you like you're a child off the streets no etiquette whatsoever plan your anywheres but this facility horrible Hotel don't say I didn't warn you

    The room was very clean and with the snow storm Aliz was able to accommodate with us being able go get another room quickly! The only down fall is the elevator, I never thought that would have been a problem. Around check in and checkout the elevator takes FOREVERRRR. Also the fact that rooms have no microwave, also something I never thought would be a problem. Going out to eat and not being able to warm your food up later was annnoying for sure.

    The hotel itself was clean and well maintained, and we appreciated the overall service and cleanliness during our stay. However, our experience with some of the staff was disappointing. On multiple occasions when we asked questions, the responses felt rude and not very courteous. For example, the bar closed at 11, and we reached exactly at that time but were denied service, which felt a bit uncooperative. While the property and housekeeping were good, the staff interaction could be improved to create a more welcoming guest experience.

    Staff was cool, the rooftop is really nice. The bites are very delicious. The restaurant in the lobby is ok I'm not a burger person but the options are good.The only issue housekeeping is not that consistent to maintain room unless I called front desk the receptionist would assure that room would be put together. I remembered I had an issue being charged twice through a third party and charged in person. Front desk manager Brandon was very professional and made sure that I was refunded the portion owed to me. Just make sure if booking through a 3rd party be sure to submit that iternary to front desk to avoid what I've gone through. Other than that it's a nice hotel to visit and or stay.

    First , thank god that I clean & wipe things off . My room didn't look like they sweep the floor , it was some foot prints in the chair which was very strange. I left came back they randomly called the conversation was odd. The next day security came to my room being aggressive saying ppl complaining about smoke & wasn't even smoking. They have a no smoking policy but I seen black & mild outside on the balcony. Who ever complained & lied guest they were upset slammed doors all night to the next day . It was a lot of weird stuff going on at the hotel.Staff came to my room hour before check out asking if I am leaving the hotel. I was not comfortable in this hotel at all .

    One thing to be aware of is that the elevators run extremely slow, so plan to leave about 25 minutes early when heading out, or request a lower floor to use the stairs. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to experience the rooftop bar, which I was really looking forward to since this was a birthday trip. I wasn’t able to secure reservations during my stay. That said, the front desk staff member Brittney truly made my stay worth it. She assisted other staff with my group’s check-in and provided outstanding customer service. She went above and beyond—professional, informative, and with amazing energy that made my group feel genuinely welcomed. Despite everything else, Brittney’s service stood out and made a lasting impression. If I get the chance to visit again, I would love to experience the rooftop bar and hopefully during one of Brittney’s shifts.😀

    The room was clean and perfect for my needs. The hotel is super convenient to Microsoft Times Square, my destination. The only reason I gave this hotel four stars instead of five is due to the length of time it takes to get an elevator, but that would never prevent me from coming back. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. The manager was a bright spot as well. I'd highly recommend staying here

    The elevators were not working properly and were very slow. Cleaning staff should have a separate elevator if possible - their job is made harder having to share space with patrons and it limits access for people accessing the elevators. Also we were not permitted to walk up the stairs from the bottom floor.

    First, I was charged an additional $100 in taxes that were never disclosed or communicated prior to booking. This lack of transparency was extremely frustrating and unacceptable, as guests should be clearly informed of all charges in advance. Additionally, at 4:00 a.m., the fire alarm went off, forcing all guests to evacuate and gather in the lobby in the middle of the night. We were left standing in freezing conditions, only to later be told that this was a false alarm. The elevators took an excessive amount of time to reach our floor both during the evacuation and afterward, adding to the discomfort and stress. To make matters worse, the staff was not friendly or helpful, which further worsened the experience during an already inconvenient and alarming situation. Lastly, although checkout time was clearly stated as 11:00 a.m., our room keys were deactivated at 10:00 a.m., causing unnecessary inconvenience and confusion. Between the unexpected charges, the disruptive false fire alarm, the lack of professionalism from staff, and the key deactivation prior to checkout time, this stay was deeply disappointing. Given these circumstances, I would sincerely appreciate appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and discomfort experienced. I hope this matter can be addressed promptly and professionally. I look forward to your response.

    The hotel itself was great. Perfect location if you are in town to see a show and also has great subway access. The rooms were really clean and one has a view of the Empire State Building. great showers and both the rooftop restaurant/bar was the perfect late night ending. The ground floor restaurant was also very good and convenient. The biggest issue was the elevators. One was not running and they were very slow. But otherwise it was a great stay and would recommend the hotel and I would stay again.

    The receptionist that assisted me was extremely rude and spoke with a very condescending tone that was not appreciated. Aside from this, they only had two working elevators and I was told one was being controlled by security. In order to check out on time I had to walk down nearly thirty flights of stairs. 1/10 would not recommend. One star only because of the location being decent.

    The Hotel itself was great, the staff was awesome, my only complaint was that I paid for Valet Parking & that didn't happen. My wife & I left the hotel after checking in & walked 13 blocks away in the freezing cold only for the hotel to call me a few hours later & asked me to come back so I could bring my car 3 blocks away because no one could drive it. I own a WRX standard, so I had to walk back from where I was & take my car myself to the garage & then had to walk back to where my wife was & when we left on Sunday morning I was told they are not bringing the cars over due to the snow so I had to walk back in the cold & the snow & pick my car up & go back to the hotel so I could pack the car, the Valet service for the weekend cast me $200.00 & I never once had the car Valeted.

    The hotel was pretty decent. The staff was friendly but the room could have used a few tweaks. I didn’t realize I selected an assessable room. But even if I needed it the shower curtain racks need to be tightened. The tub and sink handles were loose. Both not that serious but if someone needed these things they should be sturdy.     This was my second festive-season trip to New York, travelling between Christmas Day and New Year, and we chose Aliz Hotel Times Square for a slightly different but still central location. The hotel makes a good first impression. There’s a smart bar in reception with a restaurant just off it. We didn’t use the restaurant, but the bar worked well for early morning coffee or a late beer. The staff throughout the hotel were excellent. Friendly, calm, and genuinely helpful despite how busy it was. Rooms were clean and well presented. The bed was a good size and comfortable, but the room itself is compact. Once your suitcase is on the stand, space becomes tight. The en-suite was fine with a decent shower, though it’s worth asking for extra towels as the standard ones are closer to large hand towels. The rooftop bar is very good and lives up to the photos, with great views and equally good service. If possible, ask for a south-facing room and aim for at least the 20th floor for Empire State Building views. The main drawback is the lifts. At peak times, waits of 15 to 20 minutes are common. Leaving early in the morning helped, but afternoons and evenings can be frustrating. If lifts annoy you, stay lower or prepare for lift roulette. Location-wise it’s strong. About eight minutes to Times Square, ten minutes to Penn Station, and five minutes to the subway. We paid around £2,800 for two rooms for four nights including taxes. Not cheap, but Christmas in New York rarely is.

    Firstly i paid for early check in and requested a room upgrade to be able to check in at 9am. Upon arrival i was told the upgrade was only available for one day so i did not get the upgrade. Then i was told as a result the early check in i paid for would not be accomodated at 9am but will be ready at 12 midday. My expedia status should have afforded me early check in at 12 however i still had to pay for it. I then had to wait until 12 45 to get an available room. Luckily i enquired what the additional charges were because i was almost charged for an upgrade i did not get and i was required to pay a further "amenites" fee of 30+ dollars per day and a 150us deposit that should be refunded. Overall service was poor and the kids had to endure after very long flights and transits. A toddlers bed was requested long in advance and this was also not available to me. Safe to say i wont be back to aliz

    AVOID! I reserved a room for $450/night at the Alix hotel. When I tried to check-in at 1 pm, the clerk said that my room was ready but I couldn’t check-in early unless I paid an extra $65. My already expensive room was ready, but they wanted MORE money to let me start using a few hours before official check-in time. What?!? The rest of my stay was consistent with a horrible hotel that cares more about collecting fees than it does about guest comfort. The toilet was broken so the seat moved when I sat down. The lamp switch was broken so I needed someone to come with pliers to turn it off. This hotel was terrible and the manager (Jennifer Matthews) was worse. With so many other hotels in NYC, there is no reason to ever stay at the Alix hotel.

    Excellent location and condition of the room was lovely. Lacked in drawer space and we're not certain if the USB sockets worked (it may just have been our leads). Lovely barman...didn't get his name but he was from Russia. Lifts were a bit temperamental which was a bit frustrating. The rooftop bar was lovely and well worth a visit for the view and delicious cocktails The only disappointment was that one of my daughters was 19 so couldn't go up. Nothing major so would definitely recommend and stay again.

    We had a wonderful stay at the Aliz. We loved the location - mid Manhattan. The rooms were well appointed, though as expected small. The view from the rooftop lounge is simply unbeatable. All service staff were attentive: Jorge, the 1st flr mixologist, and Zach, on the hotel staff, were particularly personable and exemplary. Thanks! The Blackwells

    I booked a room with the terrace. But the lady from the receptionist gave me regular room and charged m double price. When I first arrived at the hotel the black guy from the receptionist treated me very differently and giving me attitude for no reasons. Services are really terrible and rooms are so small. They didn’t ask me anything about what types of the room that I booked. Over all my experiences are super terrible. The locations are ok. When I go back to the NYC, I would never ever go back and stay at the hotel anymore.

    The location and hotel was amazing! We had a wonderful time! The only down side is there wasnt any counter space by a mirror so for 3 girls trying to get ready it made it hard haha But otherwise it was fantastic!

    We were celebrating my besties 50th bday, coming from Minneapolis. We wanted to stay somewhere that felt very New York to us! And Aliz did! The moment we walked it felt perfect! Small & quaint, yet chic. Great location too! Walkable to so many places! We had a fabulous time!

    I love that they give you a welcome cocktail in the lobby bar! They were really tasty. They also give $25 tokens to use on the property but we were not able to use it at the very expensive buffet or in the roof top bar. Great view from there though. I would definitely stay there again

    For the amount of money you pay I expected a bigger room. The room was soooo tight you couldn’t even walk. Ice machine is in the basement!!!! I booked the trip in advance and still had to come out of pocket an extra $200. NEVER AGAIN! The only positive was that it’s only a 10 minute walk to MSG!

    The Aliz hotel is located nicely near Times square. It has a lot of food, shopping and experience options nearby. The room was clean and well designed with a great city view from the window. The breakfast buffet was also wonderful. I wanted to visit the rooftop bar, but there was a private event at the time. Overall, great hotel in the center of Manhattan.

    Everything was fine except for the ridiculous almost $300 check In fee. If I remember correctly they told me I’d only get $150 of that deposit back. That is sneaky and horrible. Also, more hooks for towels should be in bathroom or hotel rooms somewhere. Other than that, it was clean quiet and comfortable, although a bit small of room.

    Great location and super quick check-in. The morning barista can be a bit curt, but she makes an excellent cortadito and cappuccino. Rooms are small yet comfortable, with a shower that has fantastic water pressure. Housekeeping changed the towels on the second day but didn’t make the bed. Elevators can be slow at times, but overall a solid stay in the heart of New York.

    Great location to attractions and transport facilities. Room was clean and had what was needed. Staff very helpful. Did not eat at the hotel, but had drinks in the bar on the top floor and the views were amazing as well as the cocktails.

    Actually couldn’t wait to leave. Photos make everything look much bigger and plusher than it actually is. Room tired and small. Mattress's lumpy and uncomfortable. Daughter found hairs in her bed. Housekeeping left our room open one day-thankfully nothing taken. Had booked an accessible room, but was basically a couple of handrails in the bathroom. Brought all this to staffs attention but never given an apology or solution. Views are only available to over 21yrs. There are much nicer places to stay so would not recommend and will definitely not be returning.

    we loved the hotel. It was very nice and modern, but the prettiness of the hotel doesn’t show because of all the dirt that surrounding it the streets are really disgusting. The amazing smell of inside the hotel the pretty chandelier like everything is so modern and then you walk out to a dumpster.

    Misleading and disappointing experience. The hotel does not deliver what is shown in the photos. The rooftop access, which is heavily advertised, is restricted — you can only use it at certain times or with a separate reservation, which is not mentioned before booking. Upon arrival, they also require you to sign paperwork for valet charges and additional taxes that were never disclosed on Expedia. Overall, the lack of transparency made the stay frustrating and disappointing.

    My wife and I stayed here for a quick NYC getaway. The location is perfect, however the valet parking was a nightmare and we ended up having to park at the Port Authority garage (which is right across the street and probably ended up saving us money so I guess that's a win?). The room was very nice but smaller than expected. The barn door for the bathroom would not stay closed. We tried to access the rooftop bar but couldn't and ended up giving up. The voucher for breakfast was a great amenity. Overall, would stay here again, but it's 4/5 stars.

    Well i liked the service, what i didn't like that i noticed them last night that ill check out at 10am and i need my car to be ready but tomorrow at 9am when i approached the front desk, the staff said that my car will be brought at 11:30am due to an issue and thus i had to go after my car by walk and brought it over so i disliked it but overall was good.

    Nice room, very big bathroom. The only problem we encountered was the lifts. At one point we had to wait 20 minutes for a lift from the fourth floor, you can't use the stairs as it sets off an alarm. The staff were all very nice.

    Staff was friendly and helpful. Space both in lobby elevators and hallways very tight. Could use a service elevator as you need to wait for what feels like forever for the elevator at times and often have to not catch the first one available as it is filled with patrons or service staff.

    The accommodations were clean and stylish, and we loved the added bonus of food and drink vouchers. A highlight of our trip was visiting Dear Irving on Hudson the views were absolutely stunning and the ambiance unmatched.     Rooftop bar was amazing and felt like I got something for having to pay the resort fee - does seem a little dumb to have to pay a resort fee if they’re going to promote it as you get something back.     Everything was ok. Elevator were not that efficient. Always full and once I waited so long that I decided use the stairs, not fun if you are on the 34th floor. They have 3 elevator but if they have an event on the top floor goes down to 2. Nice customer service. All personnel very helpful and friendly.
