Days Inn by Wyndham New Market/I-81

We did not feel safe at all so after driving for over three hours to get there, we turned around and came back home and we’re not offered our money back when I checked out the lady at the desk did not even care. She did not ask why we were leaving if anything was wrong or anything!!!

The place was clean, and everything worked. The ground were beautiful and the location is excellent if you're visiting the nearby battlefield and national parks.

The lady at the front desk was wonderful!

It was pretty solid. Good parking, location, and room's were solid.

Nice room, very noisy air conditioner and no chair, looks like recently renovated or partially still in progress.

My booking shows ‘Free breakfast’ as an included amenity, but during my stay the hotel only provided coffee and staff said the breakfast listing is old information. In addition, the bathroom door in my room did not close properly

The shower didn't work, the water didn't come out, so we couldn't bathe. The bathtub looked dirty, with dirt stuck. There was no soap in the sink or in the shower.

I was disappointed there was no microwave or coffee machine in the room. There was a refrigerator. Bed was comfortable. The ceiling was peeling and there were a few pot holes and cracked places in the parking lot. A good stay but could use some improvements.

Pool inoperable. Ice machines don’t work. Soda machine stopped working. Rooms are terrible with discolored box springs with NO fitted sheets. Just a flat sheet over a nasty mattress. Fridge and ac was not cooling as it should and the TV was broken. NO breakfast AT all even though their photos say there is. Very misleading on their website all for $179.00 Will never stay there again.

Very very disappointed. I went there because of their name, but I couldn’t believe its condition: filthy bathtub, noise refrigerator and broken dusty air conditioner/heater. It was also smelly.

Days inn the curtains dirty an couldn't closed, insects over it. Insects in the floor, over the window, bad smell I understand is economic inn. But the cleaning must be the focus. I never will be back either free. Ah!! I need my money back because i didn't stayed there, i moved to next one. As soon I saw it, i leave. AND I GOT VIDEOS

TV was not working for a while in the morning. Also seemed like some people were having a cookout in the back, on the same side my room was on, with a grill and hotel furniture outside. It was a bit off-putting.

Room was comfortable, bed was perfect. Location of room was great, no issues with it. There were no towels in my room and the trash can in the bathroom had trash from the previous renter. No towels and still had trash in room from previous renter.

Never states at a horrible motel before. First room had stains all over the baseboards, hair on the bed, unclean floors. The room was not clean. After complaining, the staff changed the room. New room is better, but not great. Bathroom doors don’t even lock. Hard to adjust the water temperature if shower. Except the friendliness of the staff, there is nothing going for this place. Stay away from this place. I am not sure if this area has any better options though.

It is close to the Luray Caverns. It's cheap friendly, not business friendly.

Could use a lot of maintenance. 1/4 inch gap around the entrance door. Bathroom ceiling needs to fixed properly. It was supposed to be a handicap room, yesit had grab bars in the tub and around the toilet. I only have one leg and there was no shower chair or bench.

It's hard to say what went well, so much was wrong.. Our room reeked of cigarette smoke when we arrived, we could barely sleep and left the next day feeling sick. There were large cockroaches under both beds, the sinks, and chairs. The light in our room was broken, so we had to use flashlights. There was no one at the desk to complain to or have these problems addressed. It was quite literally the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed at.

The staff was very nice and helpful. I had problems with the reservation, but the staff handled it well and Booking.com handled things promptly and professionally. After spending two hours trying to get my reservation straightened out, when I finally got to my room the TV and internet did not work. This was very disappointing after paying what I did for the room.

My biggest issue is that they advertise it as having breakfast included, which it is not. I verified with the front desk that they don't offer breakfast, haven't offered breakfast for a significant amount of time(meaning for months) and are aware that it is on the listing but have not changed it. I feel that is essentially false advertising and will not be staying their again on our travels through the area.

They charge me doble. I pay for Expedia and at the check in they charge me again and don’t ask me they just use the card they got in the system. The room got cockroaches everywhere.

When we moved a fridge to plug it in, there were cockroaches there. In room 215 the bathtub was not cleaned at all. In 214 (we had two room) the paint in the bathroom was just not what one would expect in a hotel. And in 214 I saw a few cockroaches too. Place advertised free breakfast which there is none. And I was charged $10 for leaving a stain on a towel, which is seriously ridiculous, especially considering that there were towels which I did not even use since there were other weird stains from apparently them being clean…Oh and the phone in 215 had sticky spilled stuff on it. Overall it is far from clean and was not to my standards but it was late on a weekend and I just did not want to move hotels, so we stayed. The employee at the front desk was really nice and accommodated switching me to a nonsmoking room - I did not realize I booked smoking, which was super nice of him and I really appreciated that!

There was roach nymphs in my room. The bedding had stains. The bathroom had cobwebs all over the ceiling as well as unwashed shower curtains and mold. The door didn’t latch properly to stay closed. Would not stay here again.

I asked the clerk for clean towels and was told that I should have had enough to last the week (2 towels). I had enough and checked out 2 days early

I don't recommend this plece to other people. I booked 3 rooms with queen beds. They gave us 2 rooms with queen bed and 1 room with double bed. Rooms were spacious though. It says they have breakfast, but they only have some snack. Also the bathroom was dirty.

Staff did come over once and fight it open for me. cleaning prior guest trash out of the shower was an oversight, but I have seen worse. The shower had good pressure. Hire a monthly exterminato. Pick up all the trash around the property and the cigarette butts.pull the weeds around the hotel. Looks Terrible. Maybe even power wash the dirty cement. It won't take a lot of money to clean up this place. Simple things. The people who work there were nice, but overall, it was dirty and run down. .

We booked 2 rooms and both beds and pillows had bed bugs. Then we met another older couple in the lobby at 1 a.m. and they were leaving because of bed bugs also. The night clerk saud it happens every night but the owners wouldn't do anything abiut it. She was crying.

It was adequately clean and quiet, which is what it needed to be. The light between the bed did not work (I'm not the first to comment on that), and someone had partially pulled the metal rack over the ironing board from the wall- a few minutes with a screwdriver (or 10 minutes with a wall screw/epoxy) should fix/should have fixed that.

This is my second at this facility. I come to New Market once a year now to work with a nonprofit.I rated it about average to good because it’s more like a motel than a hotel. The room was clean but shower room left a lot to be desired because the tub had a ring. I just felt that more of an effort could be made to clean the bathtub for the guest.

The room was notably dirty. The chairs had stains all over them. The floors, walls, doors, and pretty much every surface has major ware, stains, chipped paint, cracks, etc. I will say that the sheets and towles DID seem clean, if they hadnt i would have left.

A kind staff person found an outdoor chair we had to use for bathroom accessibility, though we had selected an accessible room. wasn't great but worked. Room lacked sufficient outlets, lamp not working and needs updates. Pool was nice though.

The cable service went out around 9 PM and did not come back on throughout my stay. The bathroom verged on unsafe as the knob for the shower was almost coming off and hard to turn shower on off find hot or cold. There were several bugs on the floor when I woke up in the morning

In the past, the hotel was clean and appeared taken care of. On our most recent trip there were bugs in both of the rooms that we rented. Also, the bathroom and rooms were not cleaned well at all. There was brown scum in the bath tubs and on the room floors. We ended up going to the store to buy cleaning supplies and cleaned the floors and tubs ourselves. Even the pool and landscaping were not tended to as they should be. I saw that they tended the pool in the mornings but really should have done some care in the afternoon as well. We come every year but will not be staying here in the future. Thank you for listening

Even the pool and landscaping were not tended to as they should be. I saw that they tended the pool in the mornings but really should have done some care in the afternoon as well. In all fairness, I did not read through the reviews thoroughly. I thought I read this place had breakfast. They offered an off brand granola bar, banana muffin and very bad coffee. One selfish guest in front ofe filled his travel mug and left very li. Not too big of a deal since it wasnt very good. No microwave in the room. No local information, tv channel guide. Bare bones. I recommend this place ONLY if you are looking for a quick stop over to sleep and shower. If you plan to stay more than 1 night, book another property.

Woke up went into the bathroom to to find over a dozen cockroches on the floor walls and shower curtain ans then in the bed. Very concerned about bringing them home to to my house in the luggage.

The pool was freezing in August. My son still got in and everyone that "lives" there kept saying he was going to get sick and he was crazy for being in there... They were actually all really nice and had great personalities. The morning staff was much nicer. The breakfast was bananas, granola bars and peanut butter crackers. They had coffee but I didn't try it because it might have been there since the day before.

First room was sub par. Dirty shower head, maintenance issues and who knows when it was last dusted. Moved rooms and it was notably better. Staff was ok. "Breakfast" was just a Keurig with bananas and crackers available. Good enough for traveling cheap. Amazing views though.

First room the door lock did work. second room loose floorboards. third room had small black bugs and small tv. website showed a nice breakfast area, now closed and replaced with a banana and granola bar. Due to propane leak one day no hot water water and they did not evacuate the building. Pool had a leak on day 3 and closed rest of stay. Last day a though i had one day left, i was wrong. They took all my stuff out of room and put in storage. Had a switch 2 in room it took a long time to find it, when found the bag and receipt was missing. I finally got most of stuff back had to threaten to call police, lots of hotel in area will choose another one next time.

The only good things about this property were the location and their pool. Everything else needs some work. The checkin process was extremely slow and the staff seemed bothered whenever I had a question. The room was very dirty- our bedding had stains all over it, the mattress itself had stains all over it, the shower wasn’t clean, the countertop by the sink had some brown substance on it. The shower head in the bathroom was so dirty that I wasn’t even comfortable taking a shower. The vent fan in the bathroom was extremely dirty.

It was just a very quiet place no issues the staff was nice

I wasn’t happy at all. The bath had mold around the top of the ceiling. It had a weird smell when you walked in. The worst room I have ever stayed in .

We were told there was a full breakfast. That was not true. There were some bananas and crackers only.

The motel is OK; maybe a little less than OK. A bit worn. Spacious room, comfortable bed. The bathtub needs scrubbing. Dirty ring. The breakfast is minimal: a banana, a small granola bar, warm—not hot!—coffee. The rating is really 2+ - 3-.

Hotel location is excellent, on top of hill surrounded by corns, grass and trees, even offered an outdoor swimming pool with resting chairs for breezy relaxation under the sun. Happy surprise to watch July 4th firework show from top of hill. No mosquitoes and rooms were claen. Only imperfection was very little free breakfast, only coffee , bananas and cookies. But anyway, hotel price was cheap enough to offset this imperfection.

We went with family and booked 2 queen bed room while we received 2 double bed ( Charged for queen bed room but got double bed ) , no good breakfast and Even Tea was full with sand. Terrible experience

Our stay was ok. It started out rocky as the room we were given the door did not lock from the outside when we would shut it to leave. The door was partially open when we arrived. We went back to the front desk and they offered us a 2 double bed room when we booked a king bed. We told them that wouldn't work and the desk associate went up to the room with me telling me we just had to slam the door, however multiple times up there with him slamming the door the door did not catch and lock. We were initially told there were no other King beds available but then surprise there was one available. We went to our new room and discovered the toilet seat was missing a bolt attaching it to the bowl. We told the front desk that evening when we asked for more pillows. We were told someone would come to fix that but no one did during our stay. They did bring the pillows up right away. The bed was very comfortable for my fiancée and I. Overall our stay was ok. One other thing they could do is have more than one tiny trash can in the room or at least come collect the trash from the room daily.

False advertisement. No roll away beds, no microwaves and no laundry (dryers and washers). Very disappointed

Would never stay there again the rooms were disgusting flies in the room mold in the room dirty floors that were black air conditioning didn’t work right, safety locks on doors nonexistent. We had 11 rooms and no one was satisfied with their room.

We checked in around 9pm, for a two night stay. Room was nice however, pest control was not their priority, they seem to have done their own pest control with very poor results. Roaches were numerous. We checked out

The room was extremely dirty. The activity around the hotel was sketchy and the room next to ours was living out the room and very noisy. Overall, a terrible experience for my birthday trip.

The hotel was completely rundown outside was ok but the inside rooms were disgusting the first room that they gave me was all the way in the back of the building that room was not even cleaned to the stains on the bed to the bugs in the sink to the tub all stained ( a little comet) goes a long way so I asked for another room which they gave me but wasn't any better to the smell of the room bugs on the floor stains on the bed,and the box spring to the dirt and dust to the patchs of wall that still haven't been painted and the worse of it all the toilet seat had piss stain on it , so unacceptable for a Wyndham property ,never again I have staid at tons of wyndham properties and overall disappointing and not to mention the stadd decided to record me without my approval

Friendly staff and a good experience from a customer service standpoint, but the rooms could use some true work rather than band-aid fixes.

I do not have great expectations of low-end roadside motels, but this one was a mess. Both the sink and the bathtub drained very slowly. USB ports? Zero. And only one open AC outlet. Lighting inadequate to illuminate the room well even with everything turned on. An old sofa, but no chair or desk. The toilet seat was barely attached. Musty smell? Of course (and a stain on the floorboards indicated the room had flooded at some point). But the bed felt good. My recommendation is to avoid this one.

Location off interstate was good. Rate was good but when you factor in the things we were disappointed with, the price is irrelevant. I expected more from the Days Inn brand. This looks like a hotel that was purchased by Days Inn and then put their logo on it. We won't be back.

No breakfast like advertised

1. As soon as we entered the hotel room, the bed side night lamps were not working. Hotel was not able to fix this. 2. The air conditioning did not have thermostat that has temperature controls. The AC kept on switching on and then off after every few minutes. It was not cooling the room. 3. They do not have any breakfast. All they provided was one banana, one granola bar and one cookie. 4. The coffee is not hygienic. The sugar and creamer boxes are being refilled with who knows what and are being used again and again, looking at their condition. The coffee dispenser was dirty near the opening from where coffee comes out. 5. The part that seemed to me as a fraud was that they charged us $5 for a missing wash cloth. I spoke with them and told them that - it is impossible as I did not take their dirty used up washcloth. They simply did not listen. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone even for a single night stay.

This was ny second tine staying at this hotel the first time i nwver had any issies that is why i returned to this hotel cause service was great but this time that i stayed not so happy. The hotel claimed that i took towels when i dodnt i have never took towels from a hotel and not going to start now. They took 50.00 out of my account without notify me or anything. I feel that when a hotel does this that they should let you knkw and give yoh justification on why i had to calk to find out that information i informed them i didnt take any towels. They finally gave me the 50.00 back after me calling 3 times. Glad that i got it back. Wasnt happy woth somwone saying i took somwthing i didnt take so i was upset

Depending on location of your room it is a long way to the car for unpacking/packing.

The property is very poorly maintained and is not in a safe area. I will never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone.

The hotel room was dirty, stains on the mattress, bugs by the sink and bathroom. Mold on shower curtain, fridge leaked water on the floor. Would not recommend.

Even though all travelers were given rooms all next to each other (instead of spreading everyone out) it was still very quiet. The offered breakfast was purportedly just granola bars and a banana which was very slightly disappointing, but we found an excellent restaurant nearby that made up for it.

Obviously working under tight margins.

We actually did not even stay here. We got our card keys in a used folder bent. Walking up to our room there was questionable stains on the ground that led to concern. Once we unlocked the door we were greeted with a bed with no real sheets- the towel ON DISPLAY on the side of the tub was stained beyond repair and there was blood splattered on the wall as well as the side of the box spring. We could not get a refund. But we booked elsewhere last minute.

Badly in need of updating. Dinged, scratched, cheap furniture pieces, but it gets worse; sink doesn't drain, peeling paint in the bathroom. Room had NO, I mean NO, wastebasket, no ironing board, and, it took several requests to management to get those rather important items. It gets worse: the HVAC works, - barely - and there are, NO, and again repeated for emphasis, NO fitted sheets on the bed?!!! NEVER seen that even in the cheapest hotels. One positive: it is absolutely cheap/inexpensive rate. Think like $60 bucks or so a night before tax, but wow . . . you DEFINTELY get what you pay for! I'll add one more thing. the so-called continental breakfast are a few things thrown in a brown paper bag and put on the counter of the lobby. AND . . by 9:30 am, they are done even putting that out.

Do you know what was served in Breakfast? Banana and cookies. Standard breakfast is scrambled egg and coffee, right! This is a disappointment. When they claimed Breakfast is included, they should have also given the menu to be fair! Is it not a fair ask?
