Reviews
The hotel is highly praised for its prime location, with guests frequently mentioning its proximity to Broadway Street, Ryman Auditorium, and other attractions. The staff is consistently described as friendly, professional, and helpful. However, several guests expressed dissatisfaction with the parking situation and the cost associated with it. Some guests also mentioned issues with cleanliness in certain rooms.

- Parking issues and high costs
- Inconsistent cleanliness in rooms

Great place to stand is so close to broadway and you have everything in walking distance.
- 5/5
Great hotel located close to everything.
- 3.5/5
Location was amazing for Broadway, the Ryman, the stadium and all things CMA fest. The bathrooms were very dated and the beds pretty uncomfortable.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is good. Shuttle picks you up right out the door and takes you to Nissan Stadium. We were a little disappointed with the dinner menus. Not a lot of choices.

We recently stayed 2 nights here for our daughter’s 12th birthday/CMA fest trip, and we were beyond happy with our stay. The lounge access was a huge perk for us allowing for quick access to snacks and water throughout the day. We also loved being within walking distance to all the action!

I reserved a king room and when we arrived we were told that our king room would be available in about an hour. When we returned an hour later we were informed that there were no king rooms available so we were given a room with two queens. For the price I paid, I expected to get the room that I had reserved.

Clean room good staff good location
- 5/5
Close to downtown It was quite expensive for one night. Check in wasn’t until 4:00. The little shop did not take cash money.
- 3/5
Check in took forever while we held our bags. Staff standing everywhere at their stations and couldn’t be of any help. Apparently new staff gave us bad info and lacked info we were to be given. More money was held in our card than stated incase of incidentals but even when inquiring about that no one knew anything. Hours on the phone to get zero info. Lots of “yeah, I don’t know. You’ll have to call back and talk to…..” someone other than them. Couldn’t find the extras in the room that were promised. Bathroom lacking total cleanliness. Noisy. So very noisy. Hot. AC said 65 and it was 74 at best. The street racing all night long. The plumbing and toilets flushing would wake the dead. Other visitors fighting and screaming at each other at 3-4am. We just needed one night of respite from our very stressful life and we went away more tired than we started and 500$ in the hole for a room. It’s changed. Used to be nice. Now it’s just a convenient location. Extra 50$ for parking. Won’t do this ever again.
- 5/5
I had a problem getting my car out of valet because I had to use my phone outside in the sunlight without my glasses and it gave me a link and asked for credit card info. The young woman was so nice and offered to accompany me back inside. My friend took her up on it and it all worked out. Younger people would have no problem but I am old at 69 and it frustrated the hell out of me to try to do all that when I just could have given them a card…..maybe I lost the card. In all fairness I was stressed out. It was all great and I would come back again:)

The staff was exceptional The breakfast was supposed to be free but it wasn't the hotel bar just for a pretzel and drink was extremely expensive the rooms are not sound proof kept getting woke up to hotel doors slamming
- 5/5
One of the best hospitality experiences at a hotel. Staff is soooo nice and they offer great amenities
- 5/5
We have stayed here 3 times now. Every time is just a good and even better. Great location, clean rooms, and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend and will stay here next time I’m in Nashville

The hotel was beautiful. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Food was good. Check in was seamless and we were able to check in early without and issues or wait! There are to many business floors/areas. Parts of the hotel were closed off due to business meetings/conventiona.

Location Over priced, booked in Jan for a May trip, booked a king room. When we were checking in we were told they had no kings available. And we were charged 69.00 for parking plus 30.00 plus tax for convenience fee which is ridiculous . Very disappointed with how the staff and management handled things . We were not told about the convenience fee it just showed up on our credit card. Will not booked with them again.
- 4.5/5
Close proximity to the things we wanted to see and do. A little surprised by the destination fee of $30 per day.

Nashville is becoming Las Vegas from a price perspective. Costs have skyrocketed. Unrealistic in most cases. As it stands, I am telling staff no more meetings in Nashville until they lower costs and stop with the crazy pricing. We had 35 folks in town and all agree it has become the "Place to Not Go!!!!' Very disappointing.

Hotel is nice and just a block off Broadway which was perfect and quiet when you returned to the hotel. Would stay again
- 2/5
Disappointing
- 5/5
Great hotel very convenient to Broadway and restaurants
- 4/5
Room was clean. Easy walking distance to lower Broadway. Did not like they are a cashless hotel.
- 5/5
Shower could of had a little more water pressure other than that, perfect!
- 3/5
Hotel location is very good to broadway and restaurants. Hotel is overpriced and prices in restaurants at hotel are overpriced and food and service is just ok.
- 4/5
Clean room, great staff
- 5/5
Close proximity to downtown
- 5/5
Loved the walking distance from the hotel to broadway. Staff was great and very friendly. They checked on us frequently to see if we needed anything. Hotel was clean but a little dated.
- 4/5
We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel was nice, clean, location was great, staff was friendly, and they even let us check in early. My only little issue was a $30 night destination fee (which supposedly compensated by a $15 a day food/drink credit.)
- 4/5
Only downside is breakfast which is very expensive. Honestly for the price you pay to stay, I don’t think it’s asking too much to reconsider that approach.
- 4/5
Beautiful facility. Well kept. Friendly and welcoming staff.
- 5/5
Great location and very clean
- 5/5

Clean room, soft bed, loud plumbing, did not like the slow elevators
- 5/5
Very clean room and so close to everything!!
- 5/5
room was not cleaning while i was there
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room, breakfast was phenominal.
- 3/5
The staff was courteous; however, the rooms were outdated. Our shower looked like it belonged in an insane asylum. The pictures in the advertisement were very misleading.
- 4/5
Pool was closed, however they did provide plenty of towels
- 5/5
Location was perfect! Beds were comfortable!! Elevators were quick!
- 5/5
One issue was that the hotel was charging $120 more at the time of check out because of "extra" guests. But we had already paid for a quad occupancy room
- 5/5
The staff was efficient and very helpful. The room was spotless. We had a great experience.
- 2/5

Clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful and accommodating. They were very helpful with directing us to great local attractions. The hotel was beautiful and right in the heart of all the fun.
- 3/5
The room was large but it was a bit warn. The window treatments were old and didn’t close properly. The bathroom was large but outdated. The air/heat unit did not seem to heat well. We were constantly getting up to turn it up and down.
- 3/5
Bathroom shower curtain didn’t work and the floor was flooded. The room door didn’t shut properly on its own. Security was on top of it though they noticed and came to check.
- 5/5
Location is perfect
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Staff was so nice and friendly.
- 3/5
The rooms are nice. My only complaint was the $30 resort fee which i am still not sure i got an offset for the two places that it can be used. Its not a resort and given the all in hotel cost is $400 or more, not fair. Also most Marriott have a coffee station in the morning if they are going to charge this much, plan on paying $7 for lukewarm coffee.
- 5/5
Yes - 100% - Great Staff - Great Room
- 5/5
This hotel is walkable to everything! Perfect location.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room, very pleasant staff people. Clean areas in lobby

We were not given waters in room
- 5/5
Spotless room. Very good service and housekeeping
- 5/5
Left my Detroit Lions Sweatshirt in Little Fib restaurant on the back of the chair, went back and it was gone, asked the staff, , bartender said check front desk ,not found went beack and asked again, very upset with staff not looking for it a little harder

It was a good fit for our night out at the Ryman.

Great location and great atmosphere.
- 5/5
Excellent facilities and amenities with a very attentive and responsive staff.
- 5/5
Clean room with comfortable beds.
- 3/5
It is walking distance to everything!!
- 2/5
Well…we didn’t have coffee, room wasn’t cleaned on our second day stay, and my sister also booked through Expedia and was told by Expedia and hotel that there was no room available after she drove 51/2 hours. Btw: she paid the full amount. Expedia offered reimbursement but no hotel reservations alternatives and blamed hotel. Hotel offered no alternatives and blamed Expedia. She returned home spoiling our weekend to celebrate her husband’s 65th bday and my 60th bday.
- 3/5
Hotel is conveniently located. For the price we paid, I would have expected fresh coffee to be complimentary. Everything at the hotel was overpriced. Room was fine but nothing special.
- 4/5

Great place and great location for Nashville and concerts
- 5/5

- 5/5
The best location to broadway for the price! Would recommend this hotel to everyone
- 5/5
Staff at front desk were so friendly; staff in Little Fib were wonderful; room was comfortable; beds were comfortable; hotel is in an outstanding location; will definitely stay again.
- 2/5
Bathroom was disgusting shower was barely workable shower handle was broken and rigged up definitely not an experience you would think would cost this much per night Ive seen better motel rooms than this one stay clear of this place Ive been duped for the last time
- 5/5
The staff were so nice at check in and I was able to get the room early.
- 5/5
Loved our stay! Very nice to have the walkway from 5th and Broadway!
- 4/5
The staff was awesome, the hotel is so close to Broadway we came back for our second trip. But this time, I don't know what they are putting in the Air Circulation for a fragrance but it was very irritating to me and my wife. It seems like it would shoot out maybe once every couple of minutes, slight burn to our eyes nose and throat, both of us had this. Just as it was clearing up then another blast.
- 5/5
Staff friendly. Quiet and easy access to downtown dining shopping etc
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
The staff was friendly, accommodating, and efficient. The amenities definitely added to a great birthday celebration.
- 2/5
Many problems with A/C, it wasn’t cooling. An ingeneer was sent and still didn’t work,, windows were dirty, refrigerator wasn’t working and water in bathtub would stay in tub for a long time.
- 5/5
Excellent property for work or play … staff was first rate and the cleanliness was amazing. Close walking distance to five star restaurants and the glitter of Broadway can’t wait to get back!
- 5/5
Close to everything
- 4/5
The hotel’s $30 a day Destination Fee was not included in Expedia’s list of charges.
- 5/5

Room not ready for check in until 7:15
- 4/5
Last year when i was at the same hotel i got better service i also got free breakfast down stairs on the 1st floor this time the hotel told me i had to pay half
- 5/5
Very clean, convenient and had so much to offer! I’d stay again
- 5/5
Always a wonderful stay!! Exceptional.
- 2/5
Tried to add on inaccurate charges at check out. Paid the valet fee, but have just received a parking ticket from the city of Nashville weeks later
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel, staff so friendly, wonderful rooms, they accommodated us for everything. We loved the bridge bar!
- 5/5
Fabulous and convenient!
- 5/5
Attendant cleaning rooms didn’t understand English real well. I would definitely recommend them
- 3/5
Both beds in my room had dirty stained sheets with hair in them! For the price I paid, I shouldn’t have a dirty room! The toiletries on my bathroom counter were used. The curtains and chair in the room were also visibly stained. I paid almost $700 for 2 nights including the $60 fee they charge you at check in for a dirty room. The food in the hotel was great! But the service at Little Fib was lacking.
- 4/5
We liked the amenities of the property. The food was good, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We had to switch rooms because the first room wasn’t as clean and it was no problem. We typically stay at Marriott properties a lot but the rooms were outdated compared to the lobby and other offerings. It was disappointing.
- 5/5
Amazing place!!
- 5/5
I stayed at this property for a concert being held at Bridgestone Arena. It was close to EVERYTHING I needed, the staff were very courteous, and it was very comfortable and quiet for a downtown hotel.
- 5/5
Great experience. Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating.
- 5/5
All good
- 1/5
Expedia charged me for the room and then the motel charged me again!!
- 5/5
Nice space, good vibe, convenient to all downtown Nashville
- 5/5
Good deal
- 5/5
Perfect loc
- 5/5
Near all the action in downtown Nashville.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel love the bridge bar
- 4/5
Great trip. Parking very expensive. Location 2as exceptional, staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. Overall was a great time.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel
- 5/5
Only complaint was the miscommunication with the front desk staff about the dinning credit. Other than that everything was great!
- 5/5
It was perfect and close to everything!
- 5/5
The only thing that was a pain was not getting parking included in the rate. However the parking deck wasn't far away and it was a great location to walk to everything
- 2/5
$30 destination fee which they at least tell you aboit when you get there. Plus a $30 xtra ppl they don't tell you about. Valet was an absolute fluster cuck. Ended up self parking. Hair in the bathtub and sink. Not a little, a lot of very noticeable hair. Location is great.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, walkable to everywhere we needed, clean and felt very safe
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 5/5
A little confused about the destination fee, but overall, good experience.
- 1/5
The fees are very misguiding and buried in fine print. Agreed to pay $50 but was later charged over $200. Wrong on Expedia and the hotel.
- 5/5
I like the location!
- 5/5
Excellent central location, clean rooms, good amenities
- 5/5
Valet is a bit difficult to get to if all spots are taken. Otherwise, great property!
- 5/5
Excellent hotel in the heart of the Broadway area - walk to everything and then escape the noise in this lovely hotel. Nearby restaurants range from crazy loud to calmer. Bridge bar was nice and quiet although very expensive. Hot tub was great.
- 5/5
Ver nice
- 4/5
We had a fun stay in Nashville. The Renaissance is a very nice hotel. Close walk to Broadway. Many amenities, restaurants, pool, etc. Unfortunately our room located on the 24th floor, the windows were filthy, couldn't even take pictures out of them. But other than that everything else was nice,
- 5/5
Very nice accommodations with a great location. Pricey!
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Very convenient
- 5/5
Nice place. Close to the fun & good food. Great staff
- 5/5
Great location to downtown broadway. Very clean and excellent staff ready to assit and help in any way.
- 4/5
It was a beautiful hotel. I felt comfortable but the only problem was the shampoo was not refilled.
- 5/5
all good
- 2/5
What I didn’t like about this property is that you have to $10 a day for internet use unless you’re a Marriott rewards member. Also did not like they you were charged $25 a day fee and only received a credit back for it if you ate in their restaurant each day. Seriously gouging your customers. Will not stay at a Marriott property again even though it was clean and friendly staff
- 5/5
hotel is beautiful. Nice restaurant and bars. Close to everything. Highly recommend
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, very convenient to Bridgestone Arena, Ryman Auditorium, and Broadway. It’s very well appointed and the staff is excellent!
- 5/5
It's been beautifully remodeled since the last time I stayed there. As always everyone is friendly.
- 5/5
Great location to Broadway and other sites downtown
- 5/5
LOVE THIS HOTEL!! 💯 would stay again!! Exceptional staff, excellent location!! Can’t wait to go back!
- 4/5
Good property but infrequent and inconsistent housekeeping. Great location and conference facilities were fantastic.
- 5/5
Only place I will stay in Nashville
- 1/5
No parking unless you pay $65 valet fee. The rooms are nothing special. Old and not worth the price!
- 5/5
Very nice hotel, convenient parking, and easy to walk the area especially Broadway.
- 5/5
Perfect location to walk to Broadway and the Ryman. The restaurant Little Fib was delicious and Starbucks in the lobby every morning and afternoon was great. We parked in parking structure across hotel for $20 overnight, which is a much cheaper rate than their valet charges.
- 5/5
Location location location. The hotel is a tad noisy from street noise but the location is unbeatable
- 4/5
I read reviews prior and they were not accurate. Firstly, my room was very nice. I am tall and the shower was great. The bathroom in general was very nice. My only negatives: 1. Nothing nearby for food. I need to eat something before bed and there were no choices. The food they did provide was subpar 2.i tried to set up a wake up call and nobody ever answered my call to set it up. Not a dealbreaker. I would stay there again and just bring a bunch of food.
- 3/5
The property was nice. The rooms definitely need an upgrade for what is being paid. I was very underwhelmed by the room. Over all a great stay though.
- 5/5
Everyone was very helpful
- 5/5
Do not dine at the FIB, very poor service! Hotel is very clean and bar is cool. Close to Broadway great location!
- 5/5
Fabulous hotel! No complaints at all. Great bar, everything is clean, it’s super convenient and you can walk everywhere. It’s not cheap but nothing is in Nashville! Would definitely recommend!
- 4/5
We loved the public spaces. We believe that the rooms need a facelift. They are not as nice as the public spaces which are fantastic.
- 3/5
We had the Sunday Easter brunch and became extremely ill immediately afterwards. The next day, I asked the staff if they had any other quest with the same and was told no, later that day we had several other quests say they to experienced food poisoning. When I spoke with the front desk the second time they still said that they felt it was not the food. At no point did anyone ask our room number or make any notes. The other quest said the same thing, not one staff member recorded or even apologized. The brunch was 50.00 per person, very expensive food poisoning!
- 5/5
Property close to downtown. Not loud at night.
- 4/5
Overall, the Renaissance was a fine hotel. I really liked how close it is to Broadway and Printer's Alley; all within a short walking distance. The only issue I had during my stay was the hotel water was shut off during the night and we were never notified - couldn't shower, nor even flush the toilet. Then when the water did come back, it was brown and filthy, leaving dirt/soot-like residue. It took a while before I we could shower. It would have been nice to know ahead of time even through an email of what was going to happen. Also we requested the room be housekept each day. One of our days it was not. We needed to call and request for towels, toilet paper.. the basics, which took a long time to get. Overall, a nice place just a few inconveniences.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel and amazing employees.

Did not like valet parking only choice or pick a garage a block or two down the street. $65 per night was unexpected. Pay extra for WiFi. With what I paid per night, I don’t believe free WiFi is unreasonable
- 5/5
Breakfast excellent
- 5/5
Great servuce
- 3/5
When we first walked in the hotel, had a bad smell throughout the lobby and threw the hallways, and the hot tub was broken.
- 4/5

Staying here was a very enjoyable event. We spent most of a week exploring Nashville as are base. The staff were fabulous. The rooms were nice and clean. The location was perfect for access everything we had on our to do list.

Beautiful hotel and friendly, efficient staff. Great breakfast at The Fig in the hotel!

- 5/5
Staffs were very helpful and nice atmosphere
- 4/5
We love Nashville, we have been several times, and this hotel location has been so far the best we've experienced. Its ideally located, all downtown hot spots were within walking distance and just a 10-15 min drive to the Gulch area. The cat-walk option to the Assembly Food Hall is great, especially in bad weather. The bars available on the 1st and 3rd floors were very good. We frequented several times and each time received very good service. Rob was very nice, friendly and took great care of us. We hope to back again soon! Love Nashville.

We have stayed here twice, and have had a great experience both times. It is very convenient to most of the downtown venues
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 4/5
Great location to walk to many fun venues! Food at the hotel was also exceptional. One of the best hamburgers I've had and loved that their dressings were homemade.
- 5/5
Easy parking right across the street 8n the library parking garage, plus valet at the hotel if you want that option. Very. Lose walking to Broadway and Assembly, plus the Bridgestone Arena. Great, clean hotel.
- 4/5
Overall good experience
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Overall great time!
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean, easy to navigate hotel. Service people were kind. I thought during check-in they could have explained details and amenities better or more fully. But overall a great experience would highly recommend and definitely stay there again.
