Holiday Inn Express & Suites Nashville Metrocenter Downtown by IHG

It was pretty convenient. Not downtown but didn’t pay downtown prices. It was clean and quiet. Booking indicates free parking. It’s $10.00 a night. The free breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. It was pretty bad. I didn’t use the pool or exercise facilities so can’t comment on those.

I checked out at 6:00am and I got a call at home at 4:00p asking if i was extending stay i needed to call back immediately because my luggage was still in room. It wasn’t. I was home unpacked. Didn’t apologize for mistake just hung up.

Comfortable, clean property with good beds and friendly staff. Convenient location at the north end of Germantown just north of downtown Nashville. I asked beforehand for a high room floor on the opposite end of the hotel from I65. Instead, we were on the top floor as requested but basically right over I65 so we heard trucks and loud cars all night long. The front desk person initally put us on the 5th floor in room 520 which is the very end of the building directly above the interstate and thought it was the opposite end without realizing which end of the hotel faced the interstate. When we requested a move, we went up one floor but moved only 2 rooms away from that end, better but not ideal. We made the reservation several days ahead so why can't they reserve a room as requested ahead of time that day ?

Breakfast was great. Staff were lovely. Room was good size, well laid out and clean. Hotel situated well for major roads in and out of the city. The hotel is away from the Nashville fun spots so cabs were necessary to get around town.

Several complimentary Ubers to Downtown once we joined IHG group on arrival (no charge). Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Very clean. Pool small and didn’t have much sun after lunch time but we weren’t really there to lie about for too long anyway

Good location, nice rooms, big bathroom and shower. The pull out couch was uncomfortable and we had to put the mattress on the floor to not feel a bat in the bed. Second thing I didn’t like was that the pool was cold and had debris in it, like it wasn’t looked after. It’s a pretty poolb but unable. A heated pool would be better

Easy to book We had to pay a $10 parking fee. We have stayed at this location previously and didn't have to pay a parking fee. There was no mention of the parking fee when I made our reservation. This is an older location with the parking already established.

As always, Holiday Inn was clean, pleasant and modern. Most of the staff was professional and friendly. This is the one negative of our one night stay at this particular hotel. The woman in charge of the breakfast area/food actually physically pushed me out of her way to refill the bowl of bananas. And opened the drawer below the counter into my legs in a separate incident. To say I was shocked is an understatement. I did speak to the girl at the front desk who was very apologetic and said she would speak to her about it. (Girl at the front desk was very kind)

The staff were very nice and upbeat, especially the breakfast lady. The room was very big, cozy, comfortable, and there were a lot of places to put the luggage on top so it was easy to get your clothes. Shower was very nice as well. The location was amazing if you went there by car, just a few minutes from broadway and tourist attractions. The only problem that we had during our stay was that the aircast was not working, so we could not watch Netflix or other streaming services, only open tv. We tried to call to get it fixed and they tried to troubleshoot but it didn’t work.

The front desk staff were as friendly as they could be given my situation. The booking process on Booking.com was fairly easy. I was not refunded for a reservation I paid for because I was late to my check-in time despite sending a message to the property to inform them that I would be arriving late. I had been traveling in an area with poor signal, and apparently a message was not enough for the hotel to forgo canceling my paid room. I had ALREADY paid for my hotel room. I was traveling for work; and, as a single woman on a business trip, rather than try and help me find reasonable accommodations, I was instead told to pay out of pocket for a new room at the same hotel, or to leave. I then contacted Booking.com and was told that there was very little they could do to help, as the hotel staff had failed to notify Booking.com that my paid room was canceled.

Having security on the property at nighttime was also a huge perk bc it made me and my family feel safe and secure.

The staff……. I informed them that I was enroute to Nashville from Atlanta when we had an accident on the highway which required me to go to the hospital with my daughter and the manager wouldn’t let me out of the reservation and I had to pay a one night fee for a room I didn’t use….. I will not be staying there again and I use your hotel all the time.

All went well until I got up in the morning and I had no hot water. And the coffee maker did not work. They offered to let me go to another room to shower, however, I just decided to go to my next destination to shower. What is usually a great place to stay, I was disappointed about the hot water.

Shower didn’t work right. Got the front desk know that, they told me they fixed it - they didn’t. Tried calling the front desk many times after returning to the room with no answer finally went down and got the opportunity to hear “I wasn’t the only guest and it was only her”. Left and came back at the evening still hasn’t been fixed. Went again to the front desk told them this- only after the front desk lady stood at my shower for 10 minutes making sure it is not working ok that I got the opportunity to change room. Thanks

The woman who was working the front desk on Sunday night, October 26th is the most wonderful person. So joyful and kind and it is contagious. Truly the entire staff were so beyond sweet. Best customer service I’ve ever experienced at any hotel I’ve been to far and away. Also the cleanest Holiday Inn Express I’ve stayed at.

Love the breakfast including the entertaining pancake song we have enjoyed for years. One morning there was no hot water discovered upon showering. A discount of $50 was offered and taken.

Polite receptionist and easy check in. Overall very clean and appeared fairly new or renovated. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because our room smelled like the previous guest had a dog in the room. Also, the shower, had 2 settings…scalding hot or freezing.

No soap or conditioner in the bathroom. The containers were empty. I was informed by front desk that those items are available upon request and that Housekeeping do not check to ensure containers are full. I have never heard of any other hotel that does this. All hotels that I have stayed in make sure there is soap, etc.

We stopped to get some rest after driving for 10 hours.

No way to block out the highway noise. AC couldnt be set above 64 degrees.

This hotel is close enough to downtown that you can get to everything within 10 minutes, but not be in the constant chaos of the city. You can see Nissan Stadium from the 6th floor window. It was reasonably priced, has free breakfast, on-site parking ($10 per day), and a very friendly staff. Very close to the interstate with easy access. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during Metallica weekend!

The problem is that "metrocenter" is a bit misleading. It's about 10 minutes from downtown. And the hotels were situated in office parks. It's minor but if you were expecting a downtown hotel, remember to rent a car.

We were told we woukd have room service every other day. Not a problem. But during an 8 day visit, the maids came once only after we had to go to the main desk with oyr trash bags. The front desk also had to gove us coffee etc. Hotel is near the bar district. Very noisy until 2 am some weekday noghts. Great for location. Could walk to many attractions and restaurants
