    Staff was courteous . Physical building needs updating and maintenance.Our room didn’t have the toilet rod to hold the toilet paper. We asked for one and was told maintenance would remedy it the next day. Went all weekend with the toilet paper on the counter. Walking down the hall the picture that covers the utilities was hanging open unable to close. Overall this hotel is tired and needs a make over and attention. It is in a convenient location but I doubt I’ll be staying there again.

    They dont have much staff. The GM was up cleaning rooms as the head honchos were coming to see the hotel. She was literally working alone and i think the hotel was completely booked for the time i was there.. i could only imagine having to do all of that work with no help.

    The hotel and room was really nice and it smelled good too. The rooms are made for extended stays and they have a full kitchen inside the rooms. That was refreshing.     It was very nice and clean and comfortable! Our room was easy to get to for my mom and cousin who are older and cannot walk far. Our coffee maker would not make coffee. We followed instructions and tried over and over so we had no coffee while getting ready.

    Bradley is a great asset for your hotel. We arrived an hour early and we checked in. About an hour later the power went out. Someone hit a transformer and knocked out power everywhere. It did come back on a few hours later and we were able to unlock our room with our keys. Bradley gave me his personal cell phone so I could call and find out when the power came on.

    The property was updated within the last 5 years. The rooms were very damp. Pages in my book got wavy, my medicine disintegrated, and my clothes smelled musty. Overall, I had a pleasant stay.

    The room itself was clean, comfortable, and what I’d generally expect from a Holiday Inn Express. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was very clean with a full tub/shower, and we didn’t have any noise issues during our stay. Breakfast was actually better than expected for a hotel breakfast, although I do wish it went a little later than 9 AM. A couple small things surprised me: no microwave in the room and no ice machine on the 4th floor. Also, the main entrance setup is a little odd because you have to go up steps to get to the elevators. We later realized there’s a step-free entrance on the back side of the property, but that wasn’t obvious at first. The biggest negative was during check-in. The front desk clerk was polite and efficient, even while dealing with an upset customer on the phone, but after putting the caller on hold she made an uncomfortable comment stereotyping the customer based on race. It felt unnecessary and unprofessional. On a positive note, one of the night desk clerks was extremely friendly and helpful, even helping me find vending machines and offering me a complimentary soda, which I appreciated. Overall, despite a few issues, we’d probably stay here again.

    Overall stay was good, floors in lobby & dinning area were noticably dirty and sticky, all weekend. Lobby bathrooms had paper on floor all weekend. Our room was clean, however the bathtub was pealing and clogged the drain. For some reason the room keys randomly worked or didn't work and had to get them reset twice. Honestly I thought it was over priced for the area of town this hotel is in, with the vagrants in the parking lot asking for cigarettes. The parking is tight in the back for large vehicles and hotel sits on a hill. The drive way is extremely steep.

    Our room was dirty. The shower had hair in it, the carpet looked filthy. The hallway alone had pictures falling off the walls. We got locked outside of the hotel and our key cards didn’t work to let us in. I rang the bell to come inside and the manager was annoyed that I needed help getting in the hotel. Cleaning ladies have been opening all bedroom doors since 9am and woke us up 3 times trying to get into our room before checkout time. Overall terrible experience, never staying here again.

    The rooms were very clean the staff amazing friendly, and they help you feel at home. I did not go to the gym or to the business area because we were only there for a concert for the evening but even for that one night and at the price, it was well worth it. You must try BJ’s hot chicken around the corner and there is also Jamaican food across the street a Jamaican food truck. The waffle House, I believe or Denny’s I think it’s waffle House that sit there on the corner they are delivery only but the hotel across the street does have a pub and everything is right next to the interstate which makes it very accessible to transport. Overall, I love this area. I love the hotel the property only 10 minutes away from downtown, which is to me is a straight shot with Uber. You cannot go wrong.

    The property was older and run down with smells. The signs say smoke free, but the lobby and elevator smells told a different story. The woman at check in was nice enough. I am a man a felt uncomfortable to go to the gym in the morning/ Room smelled like old water. Because of this a slept terrible and since I was driving 700 miles a day, sleep and a shower were the only reasons I needed a room.

    If you need a place to bring a prostitute or do drugs, this is the hotel for you. Upon entering the lobby, we knew the photos from the booking site were all faked. Or they were taken before they even opened to the public. The lobby had floors that you would have thought were mopped with super glue and the smell of marijuana was so pungent. You would have thought the staff were in a cheech and Chong movie. At this point it was 1130 at night. We had no other place to go, so we were going to try and make the best of it. Unfortunately, upon entering our hotel room, the smell of stale, cigarettes and black mold and damp slap you in the face. The blinds were torn and broken. The bathroom door did not shut because of the tile on the floor being uneven and installed by Ray Charles. There was not a drip of hot water. The air conditioner never shut off and was like a missing fan because water kept coming out. I am sure that is where the black mold was coming from. I dropped something on the floor went to pick it up. And there were bugs and ants all in the carpet. At this point it was 3:45 in the morning and I went down to the hotel lobby to tell them we were leaving as soon as we could and I was greeted with an empty hotel. The front desk lady was in her car with her boyfriend or her husband sleeping maybe. I had to call the front desk to get her to come in. Then she did nothing. This is where people who want to do drugs and cheat on their spouses go.

    For the money it wasn’t bad. There was an outdoor pool but it had no water. It seems like they are in the middle of a remodel as there was a lot of construction material around the building and rooms did not smell great. It was a convenient distance from downtown and the highway was right there. Staff was excellent though and there’s a great Irish pub right across the street.

    The hotel is on a hill. Enter through the main entrance to lobby and climb up four steps to get to the 2nd which is the start of the floor that has rooms. there are sets of elevators. One goes to the all the room floors only. A separate second one goes to the lobby to the 2nd floor. The one to the lobby was broken. The only option was to out the entrance on the 2nd floor, come down the hill, enter main entrance if you wanted to eat breakfast or have someone bring it to your room. CALL BEFORE BOOKING TO MAKE SURE ELEVATOR IS WORKING. It was tiresome going up and down the hill.

    The faucet in the bathroom was so loose that it banged against the wall, and only a trickle of water came out. I told the front desk clerk, but no one came to fix it. The air conditioner/heater was very noisy, the water from the shower was initially grey, and the coffee supplies were not restocked. On the plus side, the rooms were clean and spacious, the location of the hotel was perfect for my needs, and the staff was friendly.

    The bedroom area was very nice. The bathroom, however, left something to be desired. The main issue was the tub faucet. The knob to turn the temperature was loose. We either got burned or frozen. Then, the knob to start the showerhead was too tight, so the water pressure was barely minimum. Front desk staff was wonderful. We didn't have time to eat the breakfast, but the selections looked good.

    When we first got there we got the feeling it wasn’t the safest. Broken glass all in parking lot where cars got broken into. Waffle House across the street was shot up and delivery only. Bathroom tub faucet was coming out of the wall. Bathroom sink faucet was spraying water everywhere. Bleach stains all over the carpet throughout the hotel.

    The sink had a missing pipe, advise the front desk who stated there was thing they could do! Called GM 3 different times to assist with bill since we had to brush our teeth in the bathtub, per GM Amy Reynolds, they cannot give any credit! Horrible service!

    The staff at this hotel was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. The hotel, on the other hand was a dump. No pool. Carpet and paint is filthy. This hotel needs major repairs and renovation.

    This hotel was very run down and dirty. Our room smelled like wet musty carpet. There was a 2 inch cockroach in the lobby. Also found a cockroach in my room. Stay away from this place. The front desk workers were not very polite as well.

    We were placed in a special access room which wasn’t requested or needed. The toilet seat was so loose as to be unsafe to sit on (reported to the front desk), the lighting in the bathroom is terrible, the tub bottom was extremely slippery (no non-slip material on it, which seems very risky in an access room), the very nice electric blinds had no instructions or even indication that they were electric (it took a while to figure that out), the front desk attendant (Derek) was very pleasant and helpful, otherwise the room was fine. It would be the last room I would put someone in due to the headlights on Spence Ln being highly visible from the bed unless the heavy shade was lowered.

    Didn’t like it at all I have stayed at other holiday inn express and nothing compared to this one when I checked in staff had no idea what she was doing. I had a reservation and gave my room away to some other guest. I pay for a two double bed and I end up getting one King bedroom. And we are a family of 4 . Won’t be staying here again .

    Once again, and it will be the last time, I booked a room four monthes in advance and paid in full through Hotels.com and went to check but there was no room availiable! The same thing happened in 2021. The lady in the lobby said Hotels.com overbooked and Hotels.com told me the hotel overbooked. I also have a reservation paid in full for the end of this month and I am thinking about cancelling and booking direct with the hotel. This is the second and last time this will hapen through Hotels.com. for now on I will be booking directly with the hotel. I had to drive three hours home after a late night at a concert but who cares, they just get to hold your money for four months and then issue a refund, not a problem on their end.

    I did not like being told my room was cancelled when I booked it Feb 14 2024 and I was told to call Expedia which I did from the holiday inn expresss but you evidently was to busy to return my call within ten minutes like your message said and I had to drive home 5 hours away when I should have had a room for my family no reason for it to be cancelled

    My husband and I have always stayed with Holiday Inn for the past 20 years and this hotel experience was bad / the smell was really bad when I went in to check in and lighting was bad in hallways/ when we got into our room the smell was worse ( damp musty moldy / bathroom was not cleaned cigarette ashes around toilet , food crumbs all over vanity, bathtub had dirty feet marks and dark ring around bath area. I walked into area by the bed and my allergies started / my head completed stopped up so my husband and I went to our vehicle and we both knew we couldn’t stay at this location so my husband went back in to explain and talk to the gentleman at the front desk and he told us we had to call back the next day and try to get a refund / we moved to a different Holiday Inn a few blocks away and was told by the guy running the front desk they deal with this a lot from that hotel. We were not trying to get our money back we just wanted to cover our other room we moved to / so we are are out almost 500 just for one nite and yes this did ruin our trip.

    The shower head would not stay in the top position. The lever in the tub spout was extremely hard to pull upward for the shower! Tv a bit small. All else was fine.

    I booked 2 rooms. Walked into hotel had smell of must. Got our 2 rooms one down each hall 2nd floor. Stains on carpet, roach traps. Went into our room instantly musty mold smell, our beds were damp, table tops were damp, big water bubble coming down along wall size of a grown man's arm. Instantly started having a allergic reaction to our room. My other room was same way. Was outside trying to find another hotel because family couldn't breathe in that place. No refund. Says pool. Has pool but no water. Hotels.com didn't even call back to help me talk to GM to try and get a refund. I'm out 300$.... don't stay there

    The location of the Hotel was convenient to access interstates but the area is pretty rundown. The hotel parking lot entrance is on a slope. Upon entering the property, you can smell the damp air. The room was very tiny and dark. The unit had 1 tiny trash can. The air in the room was humid and smelled like old clothes. The TV in the room was probably something 36”-42” inch screen. The bathroom vanity is so awkward looking, not even a cabinet, as if some novice carpenter built it. Towels are very rough and uncomfortable. Overall I did not expect anything like this from a Holiday Inn property.

    We couldn’t sleep there and ended up leaving 15 minutes after we arrived (at 12:15 am). It was so horrible. Pubic hair in the bathroom floor, other hairs in the bed. The beds were damp with humidity and the room was so moldy/mildewy my sinuses closed up. And, there was bright street lamp light coming through the window that only had a sheer curtain. Unacceptable.

    Staff were so friendly and helpful, especially LeAnn! Very convenient location near Trevecca where work conference was held, and across the street from a nice family friendly pub with great food and beer. Very nice stay!

    The shower had mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Shower head needed repair. Toilet seat was loose. Several areas around the hotel needed to be repaired. Elevator was very slow and looked like the frame needed to be repaired the wood around door was loose.

    We had to wait to check in because they were shampooing the carpet. Then when we went into the room the floor was wet & slippery. Also the carpet never dried while we were there we had to wear slippers ever time we went onto the floor! There was no comfortable chair in the room. Breakfast was terrible pancake machine broken! We are very unhappy with Holiday Inn Express and will no longer be staying at your hotels!!

    This is probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Sheets still felt moist, room temp would not stay consistent, problem with the pipe in the bathroom, there was a mildewy smell throughout the entire hotel, there was a blinking light on the ceiling when we turned off the lights to go to bed that was incredibly distracting. Just seemed so run down and honestly gross. Would never stay here again or recommend to anyone.

    The staff were friendly however did not follow through with fixing the A/C unit in our room (smelled of mold and everything was damn) and only cleaned the room and replenished towels 1 time, even when more was requested.
