Reviews
The hotel received mixed reviews with guests appreciating the cleanliness, comfortable beds, and good breakfast, but expressing dissatisfaction with the staff's friendliness, outdated facilities, and slow breakfast refills. Some guests also experienced issues with the pool, shower, and bathroom cleanliness.
- Clean rooms and comfortable beds
- Good breakfast options
- Unfriendly or slow staff
- Outdated facilities and maintenance issues

Very personable and helpful with directions.

The room smelled musty and the AC was not cooling. Called the front desk and the attendant was helpful in operation of the thermostat but it would not stay where we set it so every time we left the room the thermostat would go back to a higher setting causing the room to be hot when we returned. The microwave door was stuck closed and would not open either.

The front desk wasn't very helpful on the first day. When I checked in the employee was talking to group of people in front of me.It seem to be more small talk than business. The night clerk wasn't any better.I lost my key card and his response was what do you want me about it.Also,he was eating at the front desk. This was very unusual for an Hampton inn
- 3/5
The property advertised a pool, and that's why I chose it; however, it felt to mention the pool was closed and would not open until after Memorial Day. The grandchildren were very disappointed.
- 3/5
The lady at the front desk was very unfriendly. Also I woke up with a lower backache every day because the mattress was terrible! Then on Wednesday, they didn’t put out coffee for their free breakfast. For the money you pay, I would NOT recommend this Hotel.

We had a wonderful room. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good, with healthy choices. However, the water pressure was very low. I like a shower that will give me a bit of a massage, but the water was more of a misty rain than a shower!
- 2.5/5
Staff very friendly. The hotel looked very wormed. Examples:the soap dispenser fell off the wall into the bath tub, while I was there; elevator looked very worn & messy. Very disappointed at Hampton Inn & Suites; the last several look very worn that I have stayed at.

Requested a first floor room weeks in advance, was given a third floor room far from elevator. We travel with a small dog this was very inconvenient. Will never stay here again.

Very satisfied with everything stuff nice and friendly,we really enjoyed our stayed , fresh breakfast everyday, everything super neat & clean, bed& pillows super comfy, clean towels every day we just had to send them a text ,I will definitely recommend!!

Clean, quiet and convenient to Opryland Resort
- 5/5
The hotel was really good and I would stay there again. The breakfast menu could improve in terms of different items daily.
- 4/5
The room was clean. The room air conditioner was very loud. Made it hard to sleep the first and second night. The front desk was notified when I left.
- 2/5
Thermostat reset to heat every day so even when it was 85 degrees outside the heat was blasting in my room. In response to my complaint, front desk said during the day it is on a motion sensor so if you leave your room at 9 am with AC set to 70 degrees, the heat will kick in after a few hours of no motion, front desk said people complain all the time and "if you think it's bad now just wait til it's 100 degrees out and the heat is still on". Found a cockroach in my room one evening. Towels very scratchy. Water pressure extremely low so it takes forever to get clean. My room looked out at the back of the hotel sign which was about 5 feet from the window so there was no view, no daylight. I know someone has to take that room but they should have apologized before putting me there. Finally, none of the staff were friendly. I tried to get orange juice from the breakfast buffet the morning I left but the machine wasn't on. Staff couldn't be bothered, just muttered "the machine is off" at me and walked by. Do not recommend.

The hotel was clean, good location. Breakfast 6-10, one of the better breakfasts. Good location for Grand Ole Opry visit. It does say on its website, 11 minute walk to the Grand Ole Opry. I would disagree with that. Better to drive or Uber over.
- 2/5
The staff was nice but when we got to take a shower, we noticed there were at least 20 hairs all over the ledge of the bathtub so I didn't feel comfortable using it because I knew it obviously wasn't even wiped out. When we got to breakfast there was only eggs, sausage and potatoes for the hot part it. We also waited around for 20 minutes at breakfast for the juice to be refilled because it was all empty and no one ever came around so we just gave up. For $250 a night, I just expected more.

The hotel and have a wooden frame on the bottom that allowed the mattress to move around, and I kept smashing my leg on it. Assignment it was OK, but from what pillow was and I was told, I could only have two when I asked for three for no apparent reason
- 4/5
The ac/heat kept resetting. Not efficient but worked well when it was running where we set it. Lol. Took forever to heat up water and the water pressure was awful. I appreciated the effort of preparing breakfast. It was better than most hotel buffets. The daytime woman at the reception desk was soso, evening gentleman super friendly. Loved his hat.

The room was super clean, very roomie, extremely quiet and the breakfast offerings each morning the 5 days/4 nights we were there were great! The staff was kind and professional and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
- 4/5
Very Clean hotel, there was no hot water when I arrived which was not the hotel's fault. The breakfast is nothing special but again it's FREE and the location is perfect for a short Uber ride downtown.
- 4/5
The mid-day front desk staff (Ash) was amazing. Ash made the stay 100 times better. The over night Front Desk (John) was very rude and dismissive to patrons.

Didn't have breakfast, but location was nice Two elevators

Located close to Opryland. Clean. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was good and the staff was fabulous. Breakfast area could use some updating.

The room was great. It is close to Opry Mills. And the breakfast was delicious.
- 5/5
Rooms and Facilities were tastefully remodeled. Staff were very friendly and made our stay pleasant
- 2/5
The room was in decent condition but the shower had zero hot water, I had to take a very cold shower when it was in the teens temperature outside. The lobby was under construction so there were tarps hanging around everywhere which would have been okay if the rest of the property was taken care of. The hallways and elevators were nasty and the trash bin directly outside the entrance was over filled with trash to where it was spilling onto the ground. The parking lot had glass everywhere from a previous break and my vehicle didn't feel the safest. For the price of the room per night I expected a much nicer stay. Will most likely not stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville @ Opryland ever again.
- 4/5
They were updating, which was much needed. Older hotel. But got the job done we needed. Close to the grande ol opry.
- 3/5
Took a long time to check in. They were doing a company wide computer update. Lobby was being remodeled so breakfast was disorganized. Room was very nice. Clean and roomy.
- 4/5
Room was recently updated, but hotel is still being renovated which affected breakfast service. Items were slow to be replenished when they ran out. Lobby and eating are were not available due to construction. Eating area was in a meeting room
- 3/5
The hotel was under renovations. Took over 1/2 hour to check in. Room was nice but was missing chairs for the desk. Would of been nice to have more comfortable chair to sit in

- 5/5
The location, the rooms had been remodeled. Staff friendly and helpful The main floor under construction but that is temporary
- 3/5
The check in area is divided off with large plastic liners and the noise in that area is significant. This noise did not affect us in our rooms. We stayed for 2 nights and there was no maid service. The waffles at breakfast were good. The eggs and sausage were terrible. I've stayed at several Hampton Inns, and this one was not up to their usual standards It was not the worst experience, but it was just average.
- 5/5
Hotel is completing renovation and has new flooring and carpeting throughout. Rooms are nice and new.
- 2.5/5
This property is undergoing a major renovation. I was not told about this before I booked. The pricing should of been discounted.

Water pressure was terrible
- 5/5
Awesome. ASH is the best ever!
- 5/5
Yes construction was a bit loud otherwise good stay
- 3/5
Hotel looked old and worn. Down to one elevator the 4 days we were there. In room - light bulbs were out, tub drain was off, robe hook fell off the wall - upkeep/maintenance needs looked at. Staff was very friendly though!
- 4/5
very quiet clean
- 4.5/5
Staff was very nice and friendly. Hotel was clean and bright. Some early construction noise and not enough parking spots due to remodel materials sitting in back and side lot.
- 4/5
Hampton Inn has become a mainstay for my family when traveling. Our stay at Hampton Inn & Suites @ Opryland was good overall. The grounds were well kept. Staff was friendly. The hotel was undergoing remodeling but was not a disruption. The room had been recently remodeled and was very nice. However, there was no vent in the bathroom to move air, and as a result the air was thick One of the outlets on the nightstand did not work. The floor in the breakfast area was very sticky at 7:30 in the morning. The parking lot could use a little more lighting.
- 5/5
Really amazing staff. Helpful and friendly. Location was good. Extremely close to the Opry.
- 5/5
THEY ARE UNDER SOME CONSTRUCTION BUT ALL WAS STILL GREAT AND CLEAN! WE HAD A GREAT STAY!
- 5/5
Ash was great. Beyond expectation of service from staff. Took the extra step to make our stay enjoyable.
- 4/5
Staff provided excellent customer service. Hotel was under renovation but room was clean and quiet. Much appreciated
- 2.5/5
Good breakfast Bath/shower was very slow to drain. Doors slammed shut. Faucet was set back on sink which made it hard to operate/use properly.
- 5/5
A little dated but they were renovating during our stay
- 5/5
It was a very comfortable stay for our family. Great breakfast with spacious rooms were wonderful

Hotel still going through renovation but didn’t cause any issues. Our room was already updated. It was very clean and comfortable. Definitely stay there again
- 4/5
Good!
- 5/5
Location Breakfast could be better. One of the night workers when I called wasn’t very knowledgeable.
- 5/5
They are doing construction but otherwise we had no problems… and the construction did not impact us
- 5/5
Room newly renovated actually the entire floor. Very Comfy bed. Our hand towel was in the shape of a swan super cute. The only con was no lamp, just the light between the beds which shined into the TV screen. The staff told us that all lamps were removed and they didn’t know why. I mentioned I was going to put it in my review and they liked that. We felt Safe they had a security guard in the parking lot watching the area. The hotel sat in the back of a lot with 2 other hotels. The area felt safe the security guard made it safer. One mile away from Opry land. Definitely recommend.
- 3/5
It's the perfect location if you're going to a show at the Grand Ol Opry too!!
- 1/5
Our experience was awful. A/C broke. The temp went from 58 to 84 back & forth (could not control) thermostat said SEE FRONT DESK. No manager all weekend but sign says manager on duty. No one at the front desk, had to go look for him (found in the kitchen). When found, was told there is nothing he could do. No maintenance & no manager on weekends. Toilet clogged on Saturday morning (again, nothing they could do) next morning there was a plunger outside our room! We left & came back Monday at 9am to talk to the manager Bruce Neal. He compensated us one night out of a 3 night stay. We will never be back.
- 5/5
Very clean, people were so nice
- 5/5
Ashish at the front desk was awesome and he checked in with us a few times just to make sure everything was good. Parking was a bit of an issue because of the construction equipment and storage on site but we were able park on the property. We just had to improvise. I work in construction so I was very impressed that the construction activity didn’t seem to intrude on the guests experience.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Good breakfast
- 4/5
rooms were very clean. housekeeping does a great job. a/c temperatures kept going up when we left the room. tv’s were outdated. they should definitely upgrade to smart tv’s. no filtered water and $4 for a bottle of water. looks like construction is going on but not active which is good for sound and disruption but makes the facility indoor and outdoor look messy and unkept. low pet fee of $50 and very pet friendly in terms of workers and people staying but no pet friendliness in terms of amenities except for bags at the back of the hotel by all the construction trash and debris. they should make sure it’s clearly stated they are under construction before you book.
- 5/5

The desk clerk- Ash was exceptional and worthy of being singled out as the “best” clerk I’ve ever met!!!!
- 5/5
Convenient to Gaylord Convention Center, newly remodeled spacious room, great breakfast and courteous desk clerks!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff! Spacious clean rooms, great breakfast, all around a great stay!
- 5/5
Ash was great!! Property was great
- 4/5
May need to set temp on thermostat more than once if staying longer. Appeared to reset automatically. Stayed 3-4 days.
- 5/5
Close by the highway, property was quiet. Staff was super accommodating.
- 1/5
The hotel was "undergoing renovations," which I heard every time I told the front desk that something wasn't working. Only 1 piece of 4 in the fitness rooms works, and there wasn't anything else in there other than a couple of exercise balls. Breakfast wasn't very good, coffeemaker in the room didn't work, ran out of soap in the shower because it wasn't checked, only one elevator was operational, pool was closed, etc., etc., etc. It was way overpriced to not have better facilities. Location is good if you're going to the Grand Ole Opry but not if you're going downtown. Don't stay here if you're looking for a good value for your money or even if you're looking for a decent hotel, because this one is not.
- 3/5
I selected the hotel because it shows an airport shuttle and on the Hotels.com website it indicates a shuttle is available but this is not the case, they have not offered a shuttle in years I was told and it was expensive to get a ride to the hotel.
- 5/5
Was very clean. Pillows to small and to hard

- 5/5
Excellent breakfast buffet. Clean room.
- 5/5
The room was beautiful from the remodel, we were in the room towards the back parking lot with the construction trailers debris all over the parking lot. We are just left the Hampton in Sevierville also doing a remodel also overlooking the construction parking lot, but much neater.
- 4/5
Remodeling in progress. Breakfast menu lacks traditional biscuits and gravy.
- 5/5
Very happy with the property. However I’m gonna have to learn more about these new taxes we’re getting charged. $100+ taxes is way too much tax . And what is tax recovery? And why would it be less with a third party? Please explain.
- 5/5
It was a very good hotel, staff was great very helpful
- 4/5
They are renovating the hotel. So everything is new
- 5/5
I liked how clean the rooms were and how friendly the staff were.
- 5/5
Customer service at this location was great. Ash checked me in and he was very stylish, attentive and friendly. I chatted with Ash a couple days later and he still has a great attitude.
- 5/5
The renovation of the rooms are wonderful. The room was very clean. We enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Good location. Clean
- 4/5
Under renovation and I stayed in one of the new rooms. Very nice place to stay, great location. Good breakfast. My only complaint is I couldn’t get all the channels on the TV, some were unavailable
- 5/5
Great location and the staff was so helpful.
- 5/5
The front desk staff were excellent! Very personable as well as helpful! Loved the location and i would most definitely stay at this location again!
- 4/5
Great tucked away location close to the event I needed to be in town for. Quick friendly checkin and clean and quiet room. Looks like they're doing some updates this summer....
- 3/5
Needs updating. No device plugs. Everything is old.
- 5/5
The room was exceptionally spacious.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and helpful . We had a comfortable stay and will stay again .
- 4/5
Upon check-in my key wouldn’t work. The front desk text me asking how the room was and I explained the key wouldn’t work and they brought me a new card. Smooth sailing after that. Employees are very friendly.
- 4/5
We checked in much earlier than 4 PM and the staff was kind enough to provide an early check in. We also appreciated the availability of coffee and tea in the lobby all day. The room seemed recently renovated and super clean. The breakfast was good but could be improved by adding a little more variety and change in menu everyday.
- 4/5
Staff was so friendly and helpful! Breakfast was very wonderful. A variety of options, and everything tasted great!
- 5/5
Room and hotel was newly renovated, even had the new carpet smell still. I reserved two queen beds, but they seemed like full size. The kids slept well, my husband and I didn't and woke up sore from the bed. Everything else in the room was new and spacious. The breakfast was good, had real smoked sausage and potatoes. Pleasant surprise from the regular hotel breakfast. Nicest hotel we have stayed in by far. Only downside was the bed.
- 4/5
Service was good, hotel is remodeling, trying to update some things
- 3/5
Hotel under construction should be noted on the website. The room was hot upon arrival (90*), took 2 hours to cool to 72* on max cooling. Hot water took 10 minutes to warm.
- 3/5
The hotel is undergoing renovation. We were first given a room on the first floor that was not renovated, it was horrible. The bathroom faucet continually leaked, the door on the closet would not shut, one of the wall lights attached by the bed was so droopy that it had pulled away from the wall. We walked out of that room and asked to be placed elsewhere. They gave us a room on the 4th floor that had been renovated. What a difference!!! I could not believe that they put us the dungeon room when they had a room that had been updated with very nice features and amenities. I wish I had taken photos of the first room, it was ghastly.
- 4/5
They were remodeling. Our room was new and spacious.

- 5/5
Great renovations to the hotel. Management was very accommodating.
- 3/5
Hotel very dated.
- 3/5
Hotel was under construction so things were a bit of a mess.
- 3/5
Was upgraded to a newly renovated rm because air conditioning was not functioning properly in original rm . No fridge in new rm , we had food and medication. Gentleman at front desk was so kind and helpful we hated to bother him a second time , just a really inconvenient ending to our day
- 3/5
The reason for the average rating is as follows: the faucet in the bathroom dripped continuously, the refrigerator door rattled constantly, and the hvac system sounded like it had trash trapped inside that was so loud that I thought there was something outside the window that was blowing in the wind.
- 5/5
Check in was a breeze. Ash (desk clerk) was so friendly and helpful. Very clean Room was newly renovated and beautiful. Coffee was very good the next morning.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable
- 4/5
Good stay
- 3/5
Very outdated bathroom and no notification of hotel being under construction before arrival.
- 3/5
The stay was fine ... just some technical issues issues thatvmade me rate lower .... shower was not secure
- 1/5
Upon checking in the front desk person was nice and helpful. I was given a first floor room. I really don't like 1st floor and asked if something else was available. Nothing available but he would clean a room someone checkex out of early. I really appreciated it but turned it down. Upon entering the room we were hit with a strong mold smell. Turned the ac up and ordered dinner. My daughter went to take a shower and there were 2 used wash clothes in the shower. Upon futher scrutiny there were lipstick smudges on the door. A hair roller under the sink. And layers of dust in the corners of the room.
- 3/5
We stayed two nights in Nashville at this property. There are signs posted that they are under renovation, but I saw very little evidence of renovations (other than the posted signs and unfinished drywall by the elevator). Our bed was really uncomfortable. The edges of the mattress had a hard edge (the metal frame on the spring mattress), and the middle really sagged. The water in the shower and sink went from hot to cold without warning. Breakfast was very bland. We ate it the first morning, but opted to pay for breakfast the second day at a restaurant. The room was a great size, but everything felt damp. The a/c was noisy. I got a text asking how our stay was going, and when I stated my concerns, the response was “that’s why we are under renovation.” When I looked at the reviews for this property, people mentioned renovations from 6 months ago. One would expect to see some improvements after that amount of time, but there weren’t any that were evident. Maybe some rooms are improved and ours hadn’t been updated yet? It just seemed odd that the signs said one thing and the conditions said another. It was disappointing for a Hilton property. We’ve stayed at nicer hotels in downtown Chicago for a much better price.
- 2/5
The refrigerator froze my food The breakfast rotated every two days. one of them was good
- 5/5
Breakfast was amazing. Lots of places to walk to eat and shop. Nice and close to drive to the Opry. Close enough to downtown to not be loud. Rooms, hallway, lobby all pristine. Staff were all extremely nice. There is construction going on but other than on the first floor at the elevator and looking down one hall you would never notice.

The staff was a surely lovely and the only returning redeeming part of this trip. Upon Checkin, I found dirty towels in the closet, a ton of hair in the shower, and just general housekeeping misses (dust everywhere!) the hotel is being renovated, so I tried to ignore it because of that. On my final night, I returned to the hotel late after work and the bathroom was literally under water. The toilet was gushing water from the hose coming from the wall. Thankfully I didn't have anything on the floor as the carpet in the room was also wet and soggy. I was put into another room for the night, but wasn't given a key to it, had to be escorted in by the desk employee, which felt unsafe, and then left to move all my things without a key to the room, so had to leave the door propped whole I moved things, another personal safety concern. This was a Terrible experience and I expect better from this brand.

Excellent breakfast and local resturants were close by. Close to Opreyland. We'll be back soon.

Made reservation on line. Walked in front door and saw sign about construction. Lady behind desk looked bored. Asked my name, told me to put in credit card for incidentals. Did not ask for ID. I reminded her we had dog and would like a ground floor room; she gave me bored look and gave me key for third floor. Did not mention construction. Did not mention tv control did not have Guide. Did not mention limited lights nor that thermostat did not work and AC controls were useless. There was more but enough.

The property is under construction, but it was pretty good considering.

Overall value is not bad. Location proximity to the mall and Opry stadium is good. Included decent breakfast is a plus and all day coffee in the lobby that was a nice touch. Things that I did not quite found to be appealing is renovation going in a building and the room that I stayed in was dated. With worn out furniture and fluorescent light bulbs with flicker and make noise. Overall impression it felt like we stayed at some cheap motel. For family vacation we will not be returning.

We stayed for 1 night after going to the Ice show at Opryland. The room was exceptionally clean and very nice. A lot more than I expected. Will definitely stay again and have already recommended to a friend.

Even though, under construction it was quiet. The room was very comfortable and clean.

There was hotel construction that we were not expecting. I wish that had been communicated before booking.

We had issues with Expedia. When we came in i told the person at the desk i booked through Expedia and she made a face and said oh no! I said please don’t say that what’s wrong? Expedia has the wrong days and since we didn’t show up our room was cancelled as no show. The girl at the desk would not talk in full sentences! I had to ask her what am i supposed to do? She just continued to ask me what kind of room i wanted and booked us again and told me how much we owed. Obviously this is an Expedia problem, MY PROBLEM and Hampton could care less! I filled a claim with Expedia so hopefully i will get my money back! But wouldn’t of Expedia paid Hampton? Not sure how that works. Just not a pleasant trip

We could not use the pool because it closed shortly after we got there. We could not use the laundry facilities because it wouldn’t connect to blue tooth. We asked for help and they said they would send someone for us, but no one ever came. Right after we tried there was a sign saying it was out of service. I am still waiting to get back the money I had to put on the service. Breakfast was generally good, although we had biscuits, but no gravy. The cleaning staff was VERY helpful.

The next morning, breakfast was a standard Hampton breakfast, but really was an after thought.

Great place. I recommend

My only complaint is they still use Dish Network. The channels were very limited and the guide didn't work. To be honest, everyone I know has dropped Dish because of price and terrible channel options. Might be trivial, but travelers still want channel options.

Property was clean but just a tiny bit out dated, nothing major. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Pool was very nice in the afternoon once the sun was out. Will absolutely come back again.
