We stayed for five nights as part of our trip to attend the CMA Fest. It was a long walk at the end of the day for all the activities on Broadway, but it was also quieter and more relaxing. The room was clean and the beds are comfortable. There are two negatives. The elevators are sketchy and the only option for coffee is to buy Starbucks. There’s nothing complementary for coffee outside the room.

Valet parking should be free if you are staying. Especially with staff wearing wave caps, basket ball shorts and a white tee shirt. The facade of the building is damaged in multiple places. The Elevators feel like a death trap. They shake violently when reaching the 7,8,9 floors. The Elevator doors shake violently when opening and closing. The staff at the 4th&U are terrible at their jobs when it comes to customer service. My wife and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary for the week. When we would go down for breakfast, there was no one to greet us. We sat at a table and waiting for 10 min the first morning and then 15 min the next morning just to have someone acknowledge us and ask if we wanted anything. The breakfast was sub par at best. Buffet was no good and the kitchen food wasn’t very good either. The bed sheets in the room had stains on them. As did the carpet. There was hair in the bathroom of our room upon entry for the first time. The bed pillows are useless. They look nice and fluffy. But when you lay your head in them, it goes straight to the mattress. I will be finding another hotel to stay at when I’m in Nashville next time. Hilton needs to do something about this place. It’s giving them a bad name.

I will not stay here again. The room doors need repainting. Our bathroom door was rusting off the hinge. There was not a top on the toilet. You couldn't adjust the shower without getting wet because of the way the wall was built. Very weird layout. All the doors are scratched up and need repainting. The staff seemed kind and helpful.

We had a good stay. The room was smaller than the picture made it seem online. The bathroom was so small for our room for 5. And it seemed a little 'older' and in need of attention in many ways. That said the staff were great and very professional- esp valet and front desk.

The bathroom in my room had several rusty pipes and fixtures. The room smelled moldy and the carpet was weathered. For the price of $350 for the night, this was terrible. I only stayed one night for a work meeting.

The shower head barely dribbled enough to rinse, the ceiling was molding and bubbled from water damaged, smelled of moisture throughout. All the staff did was offer a breakfast voucher. 400.00 for a single night for a wet room. The gentleman at check out was beyond rude, and acted as if my presence to check out was encroaching on his bubble. Will be removing double tree from my companies approved hotel list for 1200 employees. Embarrassing quality and management.

The hotel is not as clean is it used to be, the staff is not as friendly or accommodating. It doesn’t matter if you’re a member or not. The elevators were down most of the weekend, which left us with long wait time. And on the day, we’re leaving the elevator going down to where you bring. Your luggage was broken, there was no repair me on there. We had to carry our suitcases down a staircase spiral. This is unacceptable.

The room was dirty and old. The bathroom had no ventilation fan, so there was mold on the walls and ceiling, although they cry covering it with paint. This hotel needs to be remodeled asap. We arrived and there were about 50-60 young people (highschool age). The lobby was a mess. I understand large party check in but why did I have to wait 25 minutes? Digital key was not operational. Room dirty. The staff was rude. We asked about parking. Valet had verbally said 40 bucks man. The room was hot - they have air freshers inside the vents. Bathroom lacking. Super small. Can’t close the door unless you stand to the side of the toilet. I’m not a heavy : larger person - if I was 20 pounds heavier I’d have an issue. Will not stay ever

Water soaked carpet. Leaky pipes. Moldy room. Elevators that don’t work. Staff that doesn’t care and doesn’t communicate with each other. I don’t know if it’s neglect, or cheap, halfway done upgrades, but this property is in serious need of improvement.

Food at the morning buffet breakfast was cold every morning. We asked everyday and it never got better. Coffee was also cold and had to be re-warmed eveyday. Room was half cleaned 3 out of the 8 days were there. On one days we came back from a day out and the room had to be cleaned at 7:30 pm, after they had all day to get it done. Shower drain back up every shower and after repeated ask to fix it was not.Maintenance even left a foam to out in the drain in the room and still did not work. Staff ask desk great. Staff at valet were not friendly at all. The night valet person was great. The score I give this stay is 2 out of 10.

Fabian at the front desk was very nice and apologetic with everything happening. There was a group of about 900 preteens/teens while we were there. They were loud, disrespectful and unsupervised. They ran the halls, the elevators and pretty much the entire hotel. They couldn't even have the "live music" in the bar/restaurant because you couldn't hear it over all the kids. Terrible experience for what we had to pay for.

Room layout was very small for a double queen room in Nashville. Older room with a few updates, worst part was the bathroom pocket doors that didn’t close properly. My husband had to leave the room so my daughters and I could get ready. I had planned to work in the room one day during our trip, but the desk/dresser was not very accommodating so I had to find a coffee shop with WiFi. The large TV should be mounted on the wall and the coffee maker needs an outlet so you don’t have to plug it into the desk lamp and take up the workspace. I’ve stayed at a Hilton in NYC which was bigger for a family of four. Disappointed with this particular room. Staff and lobby were very nice though.

The hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean. We could have done without the speed racers outside all hours of the night. There was a slight smell on floor 4, could not pinpoint exactly what is was just every once and while you would smell it. If you are planning on walking to Broadway; you will have a bit of a hill to walk up on the way back, but if you are headed to a Titans game easy walk over the bridge or take a bike taxi.

I had to ask about where to park how to get my bags up how to get to my room. I just feel like she didn’t really want to be there. You pass the desk several times in and out. Anyway, the next day I complained that our next door neighbors were loud during quiet hours. They said they would handle it. I complained a second time the next day that they were loud at 3 am again and it’s like the front desk woman did not believe me and she also said that our room wasn’t an adjoining room but it clearly was. That’s why it was so loud. (If the mattress was actually comfortable I would have not had a problem going to sleep.) Then I also tried to confirm that we could still get early check out and she was so rude to me. It doesn’t feel like customer satisfaction was a top priority. I’ll give another star for the location and a star for the double tree cookies.

Only negatives were that the elevators broke during our visit and we were on 8th floor. Even when they did get repaired only one was working and it took a long time to finally get on each day. As well as we were given a corner room and it was very difficult to move around in at times. When my husband was brushing his teeth he had to walk out of the bathroom just so I could walk in, close the door and get in the shower before he could return and finish. This type of room is really only suitable for one person.

TV did not work for a day and a half, staff tried to fix it, but had to wait till the next day mid way to get it working. Toilet would not flush on day one, ALL elevators were out on day 3 for several hours and had to call a number so someone could direct you to the service elevators.

The hotel told us it was overbooked and had no room for us. They said they selected us to be bumped to another hotel because we booked through a third party. It was a stressful, horrible experience. And we STILL haven't received a refund from Hotels.com.

Great experience. The room was clean and staff was very friendly. We’re about 2 blocks from Broadway which worked out great since we could park the car and walk. Valet fee was $55 which was a bit steep but considering the convenience it worked out. I would definitely stay here again.

Also, watch for the hidden fees. What you pay at reservation, is not the price. They will take on state fees and valet fee is literally base on per day. Doesn't matter if you are staying one night, you will get charged for the day you arrive and for the day you leave. Their response is "you can find your own place to park." Nice property and close to TPAC, but will NEVER stay here again because of attitude and lack of customer service.

Loved the free chips and wine for happy hour. Noise level in the room was a little bit annoying. The bathroom was SO small that the door comes within an inch of the toilet. Very cramped. The hair dryer would not work and actually started smoking and nearly caught fire. So I went to the hotel desk and they gave me another one. It would not work at all. 😢. However, the free shuttle to the airport was great, right on time and fast, friendly service.

For the price of the room nightly I was surprised to see a lot of the walls had what looked like drywall putty on them to fix holes but not a look of a professional. The bathroom door shuts by a magnet and did not stay shut. When I went down to the hotel restaurant and was eating my hamburger a roach was crawling up the wall. The bartender on Duty that night was amazing she deserves 10 stars.

The room itself was great, no issues. They have one working elevator! One out of four. You could have to wait several times before you could even squeeze in due to it being full! Talked to a person and they said they stayed here last year and the elevators were broken then too! How can that even pass inspection to have one working elevator? Besides that the rooms were clean.. parking EXPENSIVE $55 a night! To be fair parking everywhere was spendy. If you can uber while there, don’t get a car.

Was not a fan of this place at all. Upon Arriving I find that parking was $55 a day. That is just straight up robbery. For the honor of overpaying for parking I walked in to a lobby with a line in front of the one working elevator. There were 4 there, but only one worked. Once in the room I discovered the bathroom door would not close all the way. Made it uncomfortable for everyone. On checkout day the only working elevator had failed. I had to carry my luggage for 5 flights. Luckily they got this fixed for the mass exodus at 11.

Competition along with many others families and out of 4 elevators only one was working. Then on the final day when we went to check out that one stopped working. We requested additional towels and for the conditioner and shower gel to be refilled since they weren’t before we arrived and that never happened. Felt like a partial refund was in order but the front desk staff just laughed.

They refused to refund any portion over the $320 night when I tried to cancel the room. Stay away from Doubletree, they will not work with you in any way on a legitimate reason for a cancellation, total crooks. I refused to cancel when I found out the penalty would be the full price so they a least could not make double profit off the room. sorry to anyone that may have needed an last minute room in Nashville. This hotel has zero business ethics and does not care.

For the exhorbitant price - I was shocked to see how dated this hotel is and its fairly grotty (rooms, elevators and meeting rooms). It was absolutely freezing the entire conference which was held on floor BR, and so noisy at nights. Of course there is no control over idiots coming in super late at night and screaming and shouting outside bedrooms, but at 10pm last night something extremely loud was being rolled around for 30 minutes. I couldn't tell if it was below or above, but when you have to get up for a 4.30am flight that was so ridiculous.
