Comfort Inn Nashville - Opryland Area

We booked this hotel based on the excellent rating but it was far from it. From the time of check-in and not being able to understand the employee at the front desk to walking into our room that was warm and smelled. The area didn't seem safe and we didn't feel comfortable leaving our car in the lot. The bathroom is so tiny (don't enter if you are claustrophobic), the toilet seat was loose, and we had mold on the shower ceiling. The sink outside the bathroom has very little counter space which made it incredibly difficult for a family to get ready. Our sink drain and our shower drain both drained slowly. The hallways are incredibly hot as well. The only good thing about this hotel was that it had great water pressure, hot water, and it was close to the Gaylord Opryland resort.

This hotel is very clean and well maintained. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was very kind and very helpful. The breakfast food, which was great, included eggs and sausage. The pool was clean. We enjoyed our stay and felt safe there.

Our room was clean but smelled like wet dog. They had a staff member at the continental breakfast that got in everyone's way every time someone went up to try to get food. The bathroom was updated and stocked well and they had a small outdoor pool.

It was Very Good Room that needs a lot of extra Paint and Sound Barriers because the room was right next door to the elevator and the need a Shuttle to Opryland area. The Need the Longer Pillows not small Pillows, Breakfast was the Normal things and shuttle Comfort inn has partnership that goes to Ryman Downtown Nashville, TN for $15. One the Overnight staff seems he does not want to be there and he tried his best.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Felt like an nice area of town. Was close to Grand ole opry (but a long walk if walking and would say closer to 2 mile). Great breakfast with plenty of scrambled eggs and bacon. Only thing I missed was swimming pool (May 10th) not open when advertised on booking site as open from May. The hotel staff advised of mini bus service to downtown Nashville for $15 cash per person return. We availed of this and it was very handy with several times to go and return. Would stay again if I were back in this area.

The check in was easy and quick. Our rooms and the premises were immaculate. The breakfast was plentiful and had lots of variety. The only downside was that there really wasn’t any place to hang or put things in the bathroom or vanity area and the water pressure was very weak in the shower.

Everything was fine as location was convenient. Only complaint was that sink and mirror were separate from bathroom out in open where turning on light lit up the whole room. We have a teenager who had to get up earlier that everyone else to start the process of getting ready so everyone else was woken up. Other than that the room was clean and breakfast was good and was happy with the price.

The parking lot was well lit, if you were returning after dark. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was not yet open when we were there. The only thing I was disappointed in there was not an area outside that you could sit and enjoy the beautiful weather.

After reporting the concerns, I was moved to another room. While the new room was cleaner, the sink was clogged. At that point, I was extremely tired and frustrated. I was in town for a conference with a full schedule, and it became difficult to continuously address issues with each room. Overall, the experience was stressful and inconvenient. I would not recommend staying here.

This Comfort Inn is my favorite place to stay when I come to Nashville for a quick work visit. It is very clean and the location is great. It is good value for the price. Better pillows is my only suggestion!

The gentleman who checked me in was very pleasant and accommodating. We got their really early and he was able to find a room that was ready.

The air-conditioner was so loud it woke me up everytime it turned on.

The breakfast was better than expected, which was a good way to start the day. Was in town for the week for a conference and they took good care of us.

Our room smelled like cigarette smoke and the bathroom was smaller than expected. Lighting was poor in the room and the bed was not comfortable. On the plus side it very conveniently located to the Grand Ole Opry and Opry Mills. Water pressure was great and the hot water was truly hot.

Friday morning there wasn’t any bacon left at 7:30 and the egg&cheese servings left something to be desired. Saturday morning the eggs were gone when we got there at 7:30 and not refilled! We ate out Sunday morning. Monday morning the breakfast was great. Lots of scrambled eggs, sausage & bacon.

The staff was helpful. Housekeeping slipped one day and didn't come. But the manager called and remedied that. Room was pleasant, small bathrooms areas are my only disappointment. Staff only put out enough eggs for about 5 people then the next people had to wait for some eggs. Basically the kitchen is not large enough to handle the amount of people. I feel the food was not fully cooked because they are trying to get it out fast enough for the guest.

The bathrooms were a bit small, but it was a food stay for overnight.

Room was clean but the breakfast needs a lot of improvement! Most of the food items were running low or gone and nobody was around to refill. Only one waffle iron and one dear soul decided to make waffles for her entire family of 5 despite a line of people waiting.

Room was clean and facility seemed clean. Only 2 complaints I had was the bathtub drain was slow so shower water starts backing up as you shower which is kinda gross and breakfast although ok they ran out of eggs, bacon and waffle mix as people stood around having to wait for several minutes for them to be refilled.

Hotel was centrally located for our needs and very quiet. The area it's in seems worn down and outdated, especially in comparison to the Gaylord. It is walkable to the Gaylord, which is nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom is quite small and the sink outside of the bathroom, so that can be disruptive to others still sleeping. We did see two piles of glass in the parking lot when we checked out, which we assumed were from car break-ins (though we cannot confirm). We enjoyed the local coffee shop in a nearby shopping center.

This place is not an 8.6 as rated on hotels.com. We were so dissatisfied we didn’t even stay. We checked out 30 min after checking in….

The king room I stayed in was very clean. The linen was neatly presented, and the bedding was made perfectly. Also the man at the front desk was very kind. I just wish there was more room for parking. Other than that this was an excellent stay!

Area is just off the interstate. No loud traffic or any inconvenience we ever experience. Bed is comfortable. Price is right for the value. The breakfast is not the best nor do they have a great coffee availability. The tea so decaf and regular black tea and is not branded. They have iced lemonade in the lobby and it’s very sweet but refreshing. Value is there for its price.

I would stay again

The room was great but the staff there is horrible. We booked the stay for 2 nights, check in on Friday and check out on Sunday. Sunday morning when we went to check out and got to our truck, it had a broken window on the passenger side and our personal belongings stolen. We was told that the night shift office personal saw the whole thing and never thought of calling our room to let us know what happened. There were other cars broken into at the comfort inn along with other hotels along music valley drive. After reporting this to the police, we asked for a trash bag to put on the door as a make shift window till we could get somewhere to make a better cover for our 4 hour ride home with no help from staff at the hotel. They all acted as we was the criminals in the situation with no help at all from staff or upper management. I advise you not to stay at this hotel if you care about your safety, vehicle and personal property.

Had my vehicle and multiple others broken into here. Wouldn’t recommend staying here. They won’t let me the video footage of it. Not a safe area.

The location and the room was great. Had free parking and free breakfast which they had a variety of hot and cold foods and beverages.

Property was convenient to opry mills mall and a couple food spots. Didn’t eat breakfast there so i can’t rate that. Staff was friendly, parking was easy and safe. No issues with break ins like i saw on many other hotel reviews. Only complaint is there was a nasty sewer like smell. Smelled it in the lobby during check in but didn’t think it would be in the rooms. It was. Has to purchase an air freshener to help with odor.

Although far from the downtown area the shuttle was convenient and reasonably priced. We were able to walk around the area and always felt safe. The staff were friendly and helpful and always available. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is good for the price. There’s nothing to do in that area as most things have shut down. It was a convenient location for going to the Opry.

This was a very clean, quiet, nice hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a Logan’s steak house, Bob Evan’s restaurant, and Cracker Barrel within a block of the hotel and a convenience store. The Grand Ole Opry and Opry Mills Mall are within 10 minutes of the Hotel very close and easy to get to.

Never did see it. Breakfast was not ready to eat at 6:00am start time. That was included in the room price should be a partial refund if they don’t get it setup by the posted time. We were leaving early to beat the traffic and were unable to eat because the breakfast wasn’t there at 6:00. The lights weren’t even on in the breakfast area.

Its a little dated but a perfectly good stop right off the interstate. Good breakfast too.

The check in process was easy and Steve was very pleasant. The hallway on the 2nd floor did have a bad smell at first but went away. Same with the room, it was a little musty smelling. However, the room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was good in the morning, and the person at the front desk was also very nice. He offered to take a picture of my daughter and I in front of the picture on the wall. All in all it was a good stay

PROPERTY CLEAN AND STAFF HELPFUL

There must be some kind of water leak because the carpet was soaked next to the bed. They were unable to move us to new room upon request so we stuck for 2 nights in this awful situation. Also was very noisy with our room next to the ice machine and lobby and the noise woke us up late at night and early in the morning.

We had several issues with our room. I spoke with 3 people who advised me that the manager would call me. He never did. Our fridge was broken, the carpet smelled horrible, and there was feces all over the toilet. They advised i could not move to a different room.

The door to our room had a gap in it. Ours and other guests doors slam loudly when closed. The place is noisy from the doors and we were awakened very early by slamming doors. I would NEVER stay here again.

The hotel itself was nice and the property is well maintained but looks out directly to the highway in a not great area of Nashville. It is a great option and definitely cost effective for travel to this area. The room was clean. The bathtub took a long time to drain while in the shower.

It’s just ok. The first room I was given had an overwhelming odor of some kind of air freshener, and the front desk guy said, “they must’ve sprayed too much.” The bed was kind of thin, the air was a little musty, and just an overall sense of being off.

We liked that the hotel was close to the Grand Ole Opry - that is what brought us to stay here. Parking spaces are limited (and very narrow) - we came back from the Grand Ole Opry and didn't have a place to park (there were 3 spaces available, but the cars/trucks parked next to them were over the line and my car couldn't fit - we had to park at a neighboring hotel). Also, there was also a very musty smell in the hallways. It was quiet and fairly clean, but overpriced for small rooms and bathroom.

Within walking distance to a couple of bars, had a option to book a shuttle to take you to and from downtown Nashville for a decent price, I would definitely stay here again

The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good. We had a handicap room but were placed way at the very end of the long hallway up on the second floor. The beds were advertised as 2 queens but seemed smaller like 2 doubles (full). The room was small to begin with and then the cabinet/closet put in there made it even harder to move around. The hallway carpet smelled like it was wet.

Pleasant stay. Nice, clean, good sized room, comfy beds and pillows. Not a lot of Breakfast options but mini omelettes with cheese was good. Walking distance to some restaurants and music venues. I also like that the parking lot is well lit. Need improvement on the speed of lift.

When we checked in our room was on the first floor it smelled really bad almost like wet dog. It seemed damp. We asked if we could be switched to another room and they were able to switch is to the 2nd floor and it was much better. Location was very convenient to get the Opry. We did have a rental car.

When we went downstairs, we found that we were in fact parked well within the designated lines. The other guest had already left by the time we got there. We recorded a video of our car as proof and showed it to the hotel employee. He simply apologized but made no real effort to verify the situation himself—it would have taken just a couple of minutes to inspect our parking spot. It was a frustrating experience, especially considering there was no clear indication of what we were expected to do differently. Were we supposed to move to a different spot, despite being parked correctly? The situation felt unnecessary and poorly handled.

The property was ok. I didn't feel unsafe there but unless you were going to opry mills there were few restaurants, even fewer gas stations and the parking lot seemed too small for the facility. If the hotel was at full occupancy i wonder if everyone would have a parking spot for their vehicle

The room was nice and clean. Housekeeping knocked on my door while I was getting ready and I asked them to wait. She went to another room but never came back to our room. Not even to get dirty towels etc. so I was really unsure what she wanted.

Front desk clerk was great at check-in. We actually arrived early, but he took the time to see if a room was ready, it was, and he let us check in. He was one of the most pleasant front desk people we have encountered. Room was great.

The last time we stayed here was about 3 years ago and at that time it was under a different hotel chain and was under a lot of construction. The improvements are tremendous and the whole hotel was very clean. We will definately stay again.

Room felt damp. A/C not great. Shower was good. Lighting was good. TV was OK. Iron was OK. But overall, it just felt run down.

The free breakfast was bountiful and the rooms were clean, soft comfortable and I wind up sleeping almost one day away of our vacation because it was just so relaxing in the bed. Definitely stay here. It’s only about a 20 minutes downtown to the Nashville music row and you’re also by Opryland

Alex was helpful telling us how to get to Grand Ole Opry without having to pay for parking. Breakfast area cramped for both food items and seating. Didn't use pool, water not heated and no hot tub which would've been nice. Appreciated Arlington, at front desk, allowing us to check out an hour later. OK place to stay, was close to where we wanted to be.

Property was clean and friendly. Shuttle bus service was available for downtown.

Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and orderly; however, the room smelled heavily of mildew. It was bad enough that I had very real concern about breathing it in. It did dissipate a little once the air conditioner kicked in.

Not a bad place for a night (maybe 2 if you’re not going to be in room much). Close to Opry Mills. Close to Highway, so traffic noise is pretty bad. The bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever seen in a hotel. I’m an average size man and it was hard for me to maneuver around to close the door.

The hotel is in a convenient location with a quick shuttle service to downtown. Restaurants are a short walk away. The staff was very nice. Our room refrigerator wasn't working when we arrived but when notified of the problem at the front desk, it was replaced within minutes. The bathrooms are very small and separate from a small sink in the main room. Would I stay here again? Yes.

It was a nice place however the walk-in shower got a lot of water on the bathroom floor.

Breakfast is the standard hotel continental. Bathroom is tight with room for tub and toilet. Sink is outside of the bathroom and has very little counter space. A woman might hate it, but I was able to manage with my son. The area has a McDonald's, convenience store,.liquor store, and all-night pizza place all within 3-5 minutes walk. Also there is a cool thrift antique market and Dukes of Hazzard museum within 5-10 minute walk. I would recommend.

This property is located across the road from the Grand Ole Opry, Opryland Hotel and a really big shopping mall (Opry Mills) with lots of local and chain restaurants. It's about 15 minute drive to downtown Nashville. Staff is friendly, rooms and property are very clean and well maintained.Would definitely stay there again!
