A place with a character and a surprise! Lively and homely atmosphere. Perfect for solo and small groups, but we enjoyed our very short stay with family as well. Kids had great time with the pets - the cats and the rabbit. Hope to come back for a longer stay. While the place is very accessible from Piazza Dante, it's a bit tough if you are carrying heavy luggage since the paths are not so trolley-friendly. But nothing to not like otherwise -- great place to stay in Naples!

I liked how there was a small garden in the center where you can just sit and relax. There’s also a bar so you can grab a drink and sit by the garden. There’s also staff was really friendly and loved giving us recommendations to visit or try some foods. There’s also game nights like uno where you can compete to win a prize. I didn’t like how there was mosquitos in the room because I kept getting bitten and could hear them fly around at night. Also the bathroom in the room was a bit dirty and had throw up all over it one night and it didn’t get cleaned until midday.

- everything - nothing

Lots of steps, elevator functionality iffy but not their fault.

The hostel has a nice garden & tented space outside. They have a couple of cats and a rabbit, he likes carrots. They have yoga sections in the tented space, there’s a little community scene. There’s a very nice kitchen & living room. The rooms have are spacious and have little future that make your stay very pleasant.

The elevator can be a little complicated. It will be better if there is a laundry room.

It has a beautiful garden, bed was comfortable, bathroom clean and good shower. Equiped kitchen upstairs and there is a small rooftop with a view to Vesuvio. Staff were helpful and welcoming (specially Daniel and Caroline). You can get coffee and spritz from the bar downstairs or just lie down and relax in one of the hammocks under citrus trees - great after a day wandering around Naples. Cafés and pastry shops nearby. It’s not that I didn’t like, but you should know the location is on a hill top - luckily, there are escalators you can take and they are open until 10pm.

I like the warmth that the place gives and the Staff were very helpful and exceptional! I didn’t like how cold it got, but apart from that, it was good enough

I have stayed in a couple of hostels as a solo traveler, this was by far the best! At first thinking that a hostel in Naples might be a little risky considering Naples to be a sketchy city unless you know how to navigate it (especially at night) and that it may attract sketchy people I decided to book this hostel a little further from the crazy center areas. The area in which the hostel is feels generally safe with only downside that if you have luggage there is a bit of an uphill if to reach it, at least from where I went. The bed was truly clean comfortable, had these great curtains that NOT all hostels have, so it makes you feel more private,(charger in your bead and a great self right where you want to have in your bed, clean bathroom, locker (bring your own ?) and a truly cozy living room with couches /sofas. Also the shared bathrooms I used where also shining clean! The most interesting part of the hostel is ofc the garden which features a cozy garden right where you want to chill after walking 30.000 steps in your Naples trip. Closing, I had nobody snoring there which made it extra positive, there was a " friendly alert " for customers notorious of snoring in this hostel's site, does this stop people who snore to book a bed in your hostel and ruin your vacation? Maybe not maybe yes maybe it should, in anycase it worked and I had nobody snoring in my room luckily, but it was worth mentioning .The personnel 2 girls and I guy I met where lovely and the 2 cats at the reception made everything even cozier. -

Nice hostel with fantastic garden, great kitchen and hangout area. It was clean and i like the fact that they use key codes. The location felt really safe. The bed was comfy but a little tight since they are 3 level bunk beds. The room was a bit small to be accommodating 6 adults but we made it work.

This is a lovely guesthouse in a most excellent location. Once you get your bearings, you will appreciate that Hopestel in an ideal location--close enough to walk but distant enough to enjoy another slice of life in Napoli. Staff were attentive and helpful. Kitchen facility is great, and the garden is delightful. The only improvement I may suggest is to make the sign outside bigger. I arrived late at night and the street isn't well lit, making it difficult to see.

Well organized facilities with many thoughtful details, friendly and well informed staff, and a beautiful, relaxing garden, which could almost entice you not to go out and explore Naples at all.

Sometimes the facilities were not so clean. Once I was in the bedroom when one person of the staff was "cleaning" and there was basic no real cleaning, just minimally covering things to make it look clean. To change the linen of one of the beds the women stepped in the bed with her shoes, which is disgusting. Don't know if it's a community practice, but I wouldn't trust the cleanliness of the facilities, even though most of the time they look "acceptable".
