contact person on WhatsApp was poor but staff on site tried hard and the building had charm and good location Room was cold. Asked for extra duvet on whatsapp via contact number provided as no one was on site - ignored for one day although I requested in first thing the next morning and when insisted I was asked to look in linen cupboard myself and directed to a dirty fleece blanket. Only received an extra duvet on the last night. Breakfast was not fresh and limited choice. More explanation is needed for the location - it's in an apt block, the lift needs 20 cents, (and no advance info provided on this as with luggage not feasible to go up all the flights of stairs) and it is not clear which building inside the compound has the entrance to B&B as no signage. On weekends, entry and exit to main street via trap door as main door is shut but the trap door is small and not suitable for taller or large person. Again should have been forewarned

We stayed for 2 nights, the conditions were good and basic. The hotel has a very good location, close to the city center

Overall, we had a nice stay at Ruffo di Bagnara. The location is wonderful—very close to the heart of the city—and the place itself is quite quaint. The B&B is on the third floor of a somewhat rundown old palazzo, but we actually enjoyed the charm of that. There is an elevator (it operates with 25-cent coins), but we sometimes chose to take the stairs, not to wait for it. Our room was well designed, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but perfectly fine. As for the staff, we only interacted with one lady (unfortunately I don’t remember her name), who was doing everything on her own yet still managed to be friendly and pleasant. A word of warning: The Booking.com description does not clearly prepare you for the rather eccentric entrance to the B&B. You first enter a courtyard that doesn't quite look inviting. At night, the large gates are locked, and you have to go through a very small, one-meter-tall door within the gate—something we were never warned about. After that, you need to find and operate the elevator and then locate the B&B on the third floor. We are athletic and enjoy a bit of eccentricity, so it did not bother us personally, but a clear heads-up would be important for guests who prefer a straightforward entrance or who have mobility challenges. Only two issues stood out. First, I was never able to obtain an invoice needed for university reimbursement. I asked for it as we were checking out and was told to request it via WhatsApp. I reached out both on WhatsApp and through Booking.com multiple times. The contact person wrote back saying they had sent it, but nothing ever arrived. Despite follow-up messages, we did not receive the invoice. Second, we were told in our prior contact via Booking.com that we could check in at 13:00 pm (which was important for us, as our plane arrived quite early), but upon our arrival, we were told by the lady at the reception that this was wrong and that we would have to wait until 15:00.

Amazing stay! The room was very spacious and the A/C was so nice after a long hot day walking around. The breakfast every morning was delicious and the staff was so attentive and friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Naples The matress could be a bit more comfortable.

Very central location, close to attractions and the metro line. The room was clean, modern, and spacious. The Wifi was unstable, and the elevator cost 20 cents in cash, which was a bit annoying. Furthermore, the breakfast options were very limited.

Loud music played every night by one of the neighbours.

Great location! Could not have asked for a better staff-very helpful and accommodating. Would love to stay there longer if we ever get back to Naples.

It was very clean. The main bed was very comfy. The breakfast offered a great range of choices. The app along with key opening at the front of the property was temperamental, often taking multiple attempts to get in which was disconcerting at night time. Would be helpful to supply drinking glasses for the water in the rooms.

Very noisy location, bed uncomfortable, pillows like cement slabs. At the price we paid, we expected the room to be cleaned daily.

Just the opportunity to visit the beautiful old palazzo that the B&B is located in is worth the stay! Very spacious room and bathroom. Superb location at Piazza Dante a few steps from the metro. Okay breakfast. Check-in information could be simpler.

The separate rooms were very spacious with high ceilings and a lovely balcony. We loved that the apartment was in the center of all the activities that we wanted to visit. The only issue we had was with operating the huge entrance door. Our app didn't work and we had to wait for someone to open the door for us to enter or walk out the tiny door at the bottom.

Fabulously located almost opposite the Dante tube station (literally 30 seconds away), this two-room plus bathroom b&b was enormous! Located within an old palazzo it is on the 3rd floor and the building itself is full of charm. The room has the most enormous ceiling and, although sparsely furnished, was comfortable and had everything required for a city stay. Be aware that, with your check-in details, the owner will also send you a link which gives you all the details of breakfast, where to find the property and where to leave your city tax (and more). We were not aware of this which caused quite a few problems - an information book either in reception or in the room regarding WIFI code, breakfast arrangements and how to make tax payments when there are no staff around would have been very helpful.

Excellent location for visiting Spaccanapoli, San Severo, Archaeological Museum and Dante metro stop. Felt safe. Interesting, characterful building Clean, comfortable spacious room. Clean, modern bathroom ( problem with hot water dealt with quickly) Good choice at breakfast including eggs cooked to order The Visikey entry system is not intuitive. We did not receive clear step by step instructions in advance on how to operate it. As we were arriving late decided not to risk being stuck outside and stayed our first night elsewhere. All was clear once Anna explained and demonstrated how to use it but it is fiddly. Room on 4th floor was cold at night ( December) The lift is pay as you go - be sure to have 20 cent coins

The room is a huge 2-storey suite, loads of space, decorated in the spirit of the overall building, cleaned every day. Huge thank you to Lena who made sure we had everything we needed. Nothing really, as long as you read the description of the property and follow the self check in instructions, it will be fine.
