Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the hotel's beautiful design, excellent breakfast, and friendly staff. However, there are consistent complaints about the service quality not meeting 5-star expectations, and some guests find the dining options overpriced.

Always a great stay! Highly recommend!

The room was clean and quiet, which is exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast could have been better but it wasn't the end of the world.
- 5/5
Additionally, our toilet needed a quick repair and the maintenance man came and fixed it right away and even updated a few things that weren't really necessary but fully appreciated. Staff here are absolutely amazing and we will return!
- 4/5
fitness room didn't have towels and cleaning wipes to clean the equipment before and after use.

Great staff, room was clean with a great hang out atmosphere
- 4/5
Location was great, accessible, and the room had a pretty good view. Bit pricey for one night
- 4.5/5
Great vibe from the moment you walk in the door. Loved the boards with local suggestions located outside the elevators. Thought the layout of the lobby was unique and presented a lively space. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast food was fine. The breakfast offering was fine, but by 830 pm, was out of several items and it took a bit to refill. Staff just fell behind a bit.

There’s nothing we didn’t like! Everything was clean. The staff were helpful & kind. We will definitely look for Tru hotels wherever we go.

We loved our stay. The rooms were extra clean and spacious.

It was clean, breakfast was good. Location was perfect

The lobby is great! The water bottle station, pool table and access to snacks that can be purchased is ideal. If you are traveling with a group the lobby would be great! A perfect spot to hang out at. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The room is small however the room had a lot of shelves for suitcases and bags.

It was fantastic customer service! The room was clean and the bed was absolutely comfortable! Enjoyed our stay.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Everything was clean. The breakfast was very good.
- 3/5
Overall, it was meh. The hallway carpets were never vacuumed, and the public trash cans by the elevators- both on our floor and the main floor were overflowing from when we got there until we left the next day. I alerted the front desk but they just thanked me and went back to looking at their phone. The bed was way too soft for our liking, and one of the pillows was lumpy. Also, Hotels.com lists the pet fee as $50, but it’s actually $75. And when we checked in the receptionist chided us for booking through hotels.com and almost didn’t give us a room.

Overall, a good hotel that was close to where we needed to be in Naperville. Hotel itself is new, clean, safe. The room was basic but pleasant. Complimentary breakfast was okay, but few options for vegans. Still, I appreciate that they brought me out almond milk when requested. The fresh brewed coffee and tea on tap in the lobby was a nice touch too. Surrounding area is nit unsafe or unpleasant but odd— industrial, warehouses, seemed like middle of nowhere suburb. But we chose it because it was very close to the venue for the event we were attending. One random thing: a fire alarm went off one of the nights we were staying there and we all had to be evacuated and wait outside at 3am. The fire department came and deactivated the faulty alarm and we got back into our rooms within 30 min, but it was still disruptive and I wish the hotel had offered us something (credit, voucher, etc.) as a comp. Other than that, it was a fine stay….
- 4/5
The room was clean and new, very efficient, without any extra space, and hard floor instead of carpet. But the mattress and pillows were great! We found the breakfast to be above average, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
It was a beautiful hotel, really clean and the breakfast was delicious.
- 3/5
The hotel rooms look fairly new and clean. But the wall is very thin and not good for light sleepers. The staff doesn't appear to be friendly or maybe they overworked there. I am surprised that they don't have information regarding the wifi access in the room and you have to ask the front desk about it.
- 3/5
The hotel had a pool table and nice lounge area with snacks and beverages for sale. But the walls were thin, so we could hear all guests and footsteps. We didn't get a very good night's rest
- 5/5
Great value! Very spacious and clean and great places to hang out in the lobby with ample choice of snacks. Decent breakfast too typical hotel eggs and sausage and pancakes and oatmeal, etc.
- 4/5
Staff at front desk were not friendly
- 4/5
Clean other than a tissue on the floor between the bed and window. Also, the shampoo and conditioner were empty.
- 5/5
A good place to stay with your family!
- 5/5
Great property great breakfast great room. Clean as help
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful.
- 4/5
Nice hotel in a nice, safe area. Good breakfast. Clean room, no microwave in room. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Overall a nice one night stay.
- 4/5
I just had oatmeal and coffee and all was good.
- 2/5
Hotel was fine minus it wreaked of marijuana and the fire alarm went off at 3am. Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
The staff is very helpful, the rooms are always nice. I’ve used this hotel 6-7 times now and I’ve never had an experience that wasn’t great. The breakfast is good. Really enjoy both the pool and pool table
- 4/5
Room was mostly clean (hairs on the floor). Otherwise room was clean, nice shower, comfy bed. Breakfast was great. Staff was just indifferent honestly, that was unfortunate. Will I stay there again? Probably not
- 5/5
It’s very comfortable and clean ☺️
- 5/5
It was difficult to find this place, with no advertisement on the road.
- 5/5
Clean and pleasant staff
- 3/5
Parking felt safe, 25$ incidental lol you can’t beat that. They should add another pool table and actually take care of it. That was the main reason I booked it, just to see a bunch of teenagers hogging it took the experience away. Also, try out pappadeauxs 11/10. Everything else was fine.
- 5/5
Sound proofing could be better. Our neighbors upstairs could be very easily heard. Other than that, our stay was amazing- breakfast was good, our room was great, staff was amazing!
- 5/5
Staff was nice. Room was clean. There's a pool table and pool. No jacuzzi though. Wish the staff would limit pool table to 1hr. A couple kept it busy all night so that was a bummer. Still a great place to stay, especially for the price.
- 4/5
Breakfast was fresh every morning. Pool needs a little tlc water was foggy. And small thing I’m used to staying at other hotels. That wasn’t here is Complementary water in the fridge, your own coffee, pot, and the cups in the bathroom to rinse your mouth other than a little hiccups the hotel was really nice.
- 3/5
Our first rooms bathroom smelled like sewage and the mattress was dirty. The staff changed our room and the bathroom was dirty with hair in the shower in a few places and hair coiled in the towels and wash clothes. The bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was mediocre . The kids were running the halls and were so loud in the room above us.
- 5/5
Yes all is good
- 3/5
Toilet was not cleaned properly, room not vacuumed
- 4/5
bed ac and staff excellent definitely have a leg up on competition with those most other things same as others will definitely be back
- 2/5
The towels had hair on them. The floor was dirty. The breakfast was cold and not much of a selection. It took forever to check in, the computers were slow. The staff was friendly though.
- 5/5
Willis was exceptional. We arrived late but right when we walked in he dropped what he was doing to work on getting us checked in. Computer was running a bit slow but Willis was very apologetic for it taking longer than usual and we were happy to be patient because he was very kind and shared all the details about our stay. Willis is the main reason I would stay at the Tru in the future.
- 3/5
Beware the staff will steal anything you leave behind. I literally called the following day after check out to let them know I had left some items behind hanging on the wall. I was told she would leave a message for the supervisor of house keeping to call me, I never received a call. I called an additional 2 more times same response what sounded like the same person, on the 4th time a male answered and asked me to hold so he could check lost and found. None of my items were found.
- 5/5
Clean hotel, nice lounge area
- 5/5
The room was clean, new furnishings and the bathroom great. The breakfast also had all the offerings and was delightful. Would definitely stay again!

I thought the room was up to date and clean. The weight room could have used a weight machine. Pool water was too cold to go swimming. It was good to have breakfast included. Location was close to the expressway which was good for getting around.

- 2/5
Room was basic, no coffee maker, just one chair; staff at front counter were rude; breakfast was just about basic. We won’t return
- 5/5
The entire facility and room ooms was clean.
- 5/5
Would definitely stay there again...simple, modern update. Comfortable room, excellent choice for the $$
- 4/5
My stay was good for the most part the bed was a little uncomfortable but other than that everything was good.
- 5/5
I just need my room cleaned an not every four days
- 5/5
Room spotless and the staff was polite.
- 5/5

- 4/5
Clean and modern hotel. Average breakfast.
- 5/5
Great Customer Service!! Michelle was the BEST EVER! My family and I will visit the hotel again!! We had a complete BLAST!!
- 5/5
Faultless staff, facility. Sheets are too thin. Grest coffee, breakfasts, desk mgr, parking. Third year for group working Samaritan purse OCC boxes. We should bring more next year. Well done!
- 4/5
Pool was nice, clean and warm. Breakfast wasn’t great but fine for a free hotel breakfast. Had cereal, oatmeal, pancake machine, yogurt with toppings, sausage links + eggs (inedible), and muffins/bread for toast. For the price we’d definitely stay again!
- 3/5
Room was ok.Staff not very cooperative.Breakfast was horrible. No one prepare to listen.Same menu daily.Fruits were rotten.
- 4/5
Rooms are very small. No closet to store your clothes. No hot tub. Breakfast can have more of a variety of foods. But very nice to stay at for a peaceful getaway
- 5/5
Clean rom, well appointed, good breakfast buffet, helpful staff
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms, pool, and lobby. The breakfast pancake maker and yogurt bar were yummy. The only thing is the coffee maker is in the lobby, so if I wanted to have a random cup of coffee or tea I had to put my shoes and bra to go downstairs. So that was a bit inconvenient.
- 5/5
Great friendly staff. The pool and lobby were clean. Only reason it isn't 5 stars is that I wish the room had its own coffee machine and microwave.
- 3/5
The room and staff are always. Clean pool area but for the second year, our room is not ready at check-in.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and entire place was very clean.
- 4/5
Staff courteous- cracked window in room I had. I reported it
- 5/5
Good warm breakfast and very clean facility
- 3/5
Hotel is clean and front desk staff is great! I arrived rather late and I was tired. Upon getting settled in the TV sound didn’t work. The front desk gentlemen was as amazing provided a new remote. Unfortunately that didn’t fix the problem he immediately moved my room. I was ready to relax for the second time and the heat wasn’t working. I just bundled up in sweatshirt and socks! I made the staff aware at check out
- 5/5
It’s a fairly new hotel. Everything was very clean and the staff pleasant. The room are spacious and the showers have good pressure and water flow.
- 5/5
A nice place to stay for family. It’s clean and the breakfast was very good!
- 4/5
Very nice hotel. The rooms were clean, the staff was nice. Had great breakfast. Coffee in the lobby all day. But the room was tiny and we could hear the family above us. It was hard to fall asleep.

One night over winter holidays
- 4/5
Breakfast was very nice, everyone was pleasant
- 5/5
Every person working was a delight. We will definitely book here again.
- 5/5
Room was very clean, quite floor considering there were pets allowed. Very attentive, accommodating and friendly staff, main area was clean. Prices were very reasonable.
- 5/5
We enjoy this Tru Hotel; it was our second stay. Great location! Friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms with superb pillows, and nice, bright bathroom lighting. We like their nice assortment of breakfast selections too.
- 5/5
Great value. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and a good array of amenities. Would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Clen room, comfortable bed
- 5/5
Everyone was so nice and the pancake meaker at breakfast was top notch!
- 5/5
Great experience all around
- 4/5
It is a nice hotel, but we were surprised when someone opened our door, without a key, and walked into our room. She had been moved to a room that locked, forgot something in our bathroom, and came to retrieve it. I don't think it should have been rented to us when someone was must moved due to the door not locking from the outside. The manager said he would resolve the issue but we haven't heard anything from him.
- 5/5
Second time at this location. Well maintained. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Great customer service. Breakfast had lots of great options.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful, hotel was excellent! Loved the 24 hour coffee/tea/cocoa bar and the breakfast was awesome! Definitely recommend and will be using this hotel next time I’m in the area!
- 5/5
Newer property and decor. Convenient location with plenty of places to eat and shop.
- 5/5
Staff is always so nice. Great customer service. Rooms were clean. Nice breakfast. They have games to play in the common area and a pool table.
- 3/5
Yes but the pool was out of order
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious. The only thing I needed to ask for was clean towels. The message on the bathroom mirror noted that housekeeping would make the bed, change the towels and empty the baskets, every other day. I had to ask the desk attendant on the third day for clean towels and he checked the schedule and said we were not on the schedule to have a room refresh. I was a little put off by the statement, but we did get clean towels.
- 5/5
the rrom was very nice. nov coffee maker, but coffee in lobby. staff was great
- 5/5
The comforters lit up 💕everything was great staff was very welcoming which always makes the difference
- 4/5
There was a big field to walk my dogs and dog treats in a bowl by the front desk. So far, the first night, we enjoyed our stay. However, it was extremely frustrating trying to talk to the front desk by calling the 630-329-8046. It was an automative message that then texted me a number 1-800-497-2175. The recording made me enter my itinerary number, and after entering the itinerary number from Expedia, the recording stated that it was invalid and hung up on me. Very frustrating!!!
- 5/5
I found the hotel to be clean and the amenities were great. Each staff person I talked to was friendly and professional.

Black long hair on toilet seat
- 3/5
Not enough storage space and beds weren’t all that comfortable
- 4/5
I enjoy your hotel very much but the walls are to thin, I can hear everything
- 4/5
The room was clean, some minor things that needs fixing. Front desk was very helpful, and overall experience I would say was good for my husband and I.
- 4/5
Room was small but clean. Parking was plentiful. This seemed more like a place for business travelers. Mattress was too soft for our liking. Refrigerator in our room didn't work and breakfast was just okay.
- 2/5
The room itself was loud. You could hear every step people took from the room above us. The room was also near the hotel washer and dryer which sounded like it was in the room with us.
- 5/5
Parking was good, room was pretty clean and staff was nice
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff
- 4/5
The workspace did fit my needs. I would have rated my stay a 5 but I am not a fan of pillow top mattresses. The mattress in this room had a groove or trench that was hard to navigate, once you fell in you were in for the night.
- 3/5
Overall it was a good stay. Parking was easy. Location good. Room great! Functional. Loved squeeze bottles of soap, shampoo and lotion. Unhappy that the pool was closed for routine maintainence and was not informed. No notice the day before or upon check in. Ran out of coffee during breakfast. Took quite awhile to replace. Breakfast items not monitored and no one replacing food. Not well organized.
- 5/5
Helpful staff, nice room, comfortable bed.
- 5/5
All good
- 4/5
The staff was exceptional, but the hallway smelled musty.
- 5/5
Well maintained, staff was friendly, and breakfast options were good. Not really a complaint, only suggestion would be adding additional outdoor garbage cans around the entrances. There was only one at the front of the building.
- 3/5
The walls are really thin. Lots of hall and upstairs noise. Convenient and decent coffee. The bed was comfortable.
- 4/5
The property was in what seemed like an industrial area, surrounded by semis. Our sheets smelled like sweat. Bit disappointed.
- 5/5
Great place to stay!!!
- 2/5
The front desk lady was too busy on her cell phone when we checked out that she didn’t talk to us outside of asking for our room number. Very rude and unprofessional! She should work instead of being on the cell phone.
- 5/5
I had a great stay at the Tru. It is perfect for a business traveler, however maybe not so great for people who need a lot of amenities. Things that they do not have that conventional hotels do: closets, dressers or safes. They do have mini fridge that worked very well. My room was very spacious and I can not stress enough the cleanliness of the rooms, property, and facility in general. I really appreciate the absence of carpeting in place of laminate flooring. I even accidentally saw the kitchen where their breakfast was prepared and it was exceptionally clean and well organized. The gym is small but gets the job done. It's not the most soundproof place but luckily, all the guests were courteous and quiet, especially at night. The staff is friendly and works hard to accommodate guests. The hotel management does an excellent job with hiring and training. I would stay again and at other properties.
- 3/5
Property is under renovation. They’re still working on the exterior. However, the rooms have been redone and they are great!
- 2/5
The room smelled like mildew and there was a spill when we walked in, as if all surfaces weee not cleaned. The breakfast was very limited and not appetizing.
- 4/5
Breakfast was ok. Not a lot of options. Everything was newer, that made it nice.
- 5/5
Stayed with family for night. Room was spacious and clean. No complaints. My rating is 10/10.
- 5/5
The hotel was great!

- 3/5
I came back from a long day helping family and was not given towels. Too late in the evening to go and ask... disappointed.
- 5/5
One of my favorite places to stay at the Hilton franchise.
- 5/5
Love the modern decor, love the clean spacious room, love the closeness to the highway, restaurants and shopping. But what I love the most is the friendly staff, the activity handwritten suggestion wall and the billiard right beside a beautiful hand painted wall of Naperville. Tru was truly the best overall hotel experience my family and I had during our long US roadtrip, 5 st🌟rs all the way!!!
- 5/5
We love this hotel and stay here whenever we pass through Naperville. It’s clean and comfy and has everything you could need! Pet friendly and near all shopping and restaurants.
- 3/5
Very average. Does the trick if you just need a place to sleep. There is literally nothing around the building.
- 2/5
Good except the hotel alarm went off without us setting it, at 0530 and 0600.
- 5/5
Quiet, safe & clean room to stay during a season visiting family in Chicago.
- 3/5
This is our 2nd stay at this Tru hotel location. We absolutely loved our first stay, so we came back. The room was clean but the bathroom smelled weird and there was yellow droplets on the seat of the toilet - it looked like pee? Had to go out and buy disinfectant products to wipe down the toilet and the shower stall didn’t really look clean either so I cleaned that as well.
- 4/5
Gym equipment needed repair. Housekeeping every other day.
- 3/5
Check in was easy. The lobby and room were clean and spacious. There were info boards near the elevators that we found helpful. Breakfast day one was fine, but day 2, they were out of breakfast meat and then ran out of eggs. The beds were not comfortable (personal opinion) and VERY squeaky. Any time one of us rolled over, the noise woke the other person. Housekeeping did not make the beds, but did replace towels and empty the trash. Overall, it was ok, but we've always had excellent and comfortable experiences with Hilton properies.
- 4/5
The staff was very helpful and kind. Though the room could have been cleaner and the quality of the mattress was just okay for the price, it was great for a long weekend.
- 3/5
1-2 staff not communicating well especially during checking out , felt ackward
- 5/5
Amazing experience
- 5/5
Great property and great staff
- 4/5
The public areas were a bit disheveled. However, the hotel was filled with families in town for a youth basketball tournament, which I'm sure created some challenges. Breakfast was very mediocre.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms
- 4/5
The location was convenient. Breakfast was included with our reservation though there wasn’t much of a selection. This was an okay place to stay.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Property looked fresh and well maintained. Only problem was finding the entrance from the main road!
- 4/5
What I didn't like was there was no closet to hang your clothing or drawers to place clothing in. If you prefer living out of your luggage, this would not be an issue for you. There was a small area over the table that the refrigerator sat in where you could hang 6 items.. I felt the smell of anything eaten in the room would be on my hanging clothes. What I didn't like was, there is no microwave in the rooms. If you want to warm your food, you must go to the lobby and place your food in the community microwave. I did not like having to go up and down just to warm my food. Very surprised at a Hilton hotel requiring such nonsense.
- 4/5
This was my second time staying at this location. New Year's Eve and the Fourtb of July. Both trips were overnight staycations. Both times we brought our dog and i would stay at this location again. Clean and friendly, welcoming staff. Would have given it 5 stars but the mattress was a little too soft for my liking. My back would have started to hurt me if we had stayed longer. Overall, great location, easy to get to and 10 minutes from all of the shopping and restaurants.
- 5/5
Perfect
- 2/5
Our room was not properly cleaned.
- 3/5
Breakfast in lobby was sparse no matter what time you went down and not a big selection. Had a waiver that had to be signed at front desk at check in for no loud music or noise after 10pm, no vaping. The need for a waiver had us questioning what type of establishment we had booked. Will not book this property in the future.
- 3/5
I travel with my wife and my daughter the room was to small for 2 beds
- 5/5
Staff were great, very polite!
- 3/5
There was one man who helped us at the front desk get extra blankets for a small child and he was amazing at helping us, even though he was solo working the front! However, the morning staff wasn't friendly...the ladies in the breakfast area weren't helpful when asked for more forks. She brought 2 out and didn't replenish for anyone else. Teenage girls eating pancakes with spoons was the result. She stood by on her phone and chatting w the front desk lady as nothing was refilled in the breakfast area. If you want breakfast w your stay, don't stay here.
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
When we all arrived, we felt welcomed, taken care of well. I can't complain. The breakfast was great. I reccomend this hotel to everyone.
- 4/5
Overall was fine. Biggest drawback was the breakfast. Only one waffle maker and took 15 mins to get one waffle with all the people staying
- 5/5
Rooms and public areas very clean. Breakfast had variety of options. Staff was all very pleasant and helpful
- 5/5
It’s conveniently located off interstate 88
- 4/5
Breakfast with eggs, sausage, pancakes (you just wave your hand at sensor and pancake flows into your plate - no messing with the pancake batter). Good hot breakfast. One irritation for me- was when I had checked in I chose a room in 2nd floor away from elevator but was given a room in 3rd floor quite close to elevator with no explanation given.
- 4/5
Room was Clean & Staff nice. Only issue was it didn't have a coffee maker in the room although it says it has one on their website. Plus no plastic cups were in the room, but ice bucket was there. Breakfast was just ok.

My family enjoyed the stay at this hotel. The hot breakfast was good and the kids enjoyed the pool and the gym.
- 5/5
Bed was comfy. Staff was kind.
- 5/5
Service with a smile! Great room. Easy highway access. Nice vibe.
- 3/5
The staff is a bit unfriendly, and the breakfast is not the best. I addressed that some of people don't tolerate eggs and bacon in the same pan. They refused addressing this issue.
- 5/5
Nice and wonderful staff
- 4/5
Although we did not get the room I requested, we had a nice stay
- 5/5
The treatment was very good, as soon as we arrived at the reception they treated us very well, the room where we stayed, very clean and organized, we loved it
- 2/5
I was traveling with my dog so chose Tru because it was friendly. The room felt cheap even though it was priced just as high as other hotels nearby. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean but that's about all I have to say positive. The flooring in the room is vinyl and the walls are so thin so sound carried so much. Every time the person the floor above me walked I could hear every footstep. I could also hear everything (and I mean everything) from the rooms next to me until 3 or 4 am. Every time I was almost asleep some other noise would wake me up. I cancelled my plans for the day and drove home at 7:30 am just so I could sleep. Save your $200 for one of the other hotels close by.

Cleanliness of the room is poor and don't make the bed or clean the room daily.

The stay was amazing. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The morning breakfast has some room for improvement for sure.

Charita was amazing! She was working by herself and still was cheerful and welcoming. The pancake maker… omg! Could hear the people walking above me in the middle of the night; but I will just request a high floor next time.

The stay here was nice. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. First time staying at this property and would definitely stay again, if time permits.

Great location, just off I-88 and there is a Cracker Barrel behind the property which you could walk to. There are dozens of dining options on 59. The hotel itself is very safe and very clean. Breakfast has a great selection including pancakes, bagels, toast, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal and a daily hot egg and meat option. There is also milk, juice, coffee and hot chocolate. Our disabled room was perfect. There was plenty of room for my son and his wheelchair and the room was very modern. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Extra towels each day were never a problem. The main reason I scored low was due to thin walls. Our first night was great, however, the walls/ceilings are paper thin to the point you can hear what the guest in the next room is saying, should they elevate their voice in the slightest way. Add in a guest that was extremely loud with what sounded like a party going on and it makes for a sleepless night which marked our second night. We did report the noise around 3am to the front desk and although the noise did stop about 90 minutes, I don't know if that's due to the front desk stepping in or simply the guest next door going to sleep. Our third night was sleepless as well as the guest above us on the 4th floor paced ALL night. Every single step could be heard and it was loud and echoed throughout our room. I've never experienced such poor insulation in a hotel before. I'm not sure if I would stay again or book the Fairfield in the same parking lot.

This was my second time at this location and it was good. The only issue we had this time was that the pool was closed and that was the main reason I booked there again. But overall it was a good stay.
