Reviews
The hotel reviews indicate a mix of positive and negative experiences. Guests generally appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, and spacious rooms. However, there are recurring complaints about the breakfast, outdated facilities, and issues with pool and hot tub availability.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Clean and spacious rooms
- Breakfast quality and variety
- Outdated facilities and maintenance issues
- 5/5
The staff was incredibly helpful
- 5/5
Tori was fabulous at the front desk. The room was clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
- 2/5
There is no transparency on Marriott’s site about the lack of a pool either. Otherwise, the rooms are fine and breakfast was adequate. This hotel is not worth the price if you can’t access all the amenities.
- 2.5/5
Overall ok hotel the breakfast was a bonus however food wasn't great. No pool major down set. Room was spacious amd clean. Tried to call front desk could never get anyone. Phone always busy no maintenance when needed and no room cleaning there 2 nights.
- 5/5
Nice room. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
It was a very pleasant stay!
- 2/5
The room was great, the facility was great, breakfast was good for a continental breakfast, kitchen was stocked well, the PM guest attendant(at the front desk) was wonderful. BUUUUTTTT, as other reviewers have stated, they DO not clean your room during your stay. When we checked in, we were asked if wanted every other day service, since we were staying for a bit. We confirmed that's indeed what we would like. I even confirmed the morning of, that our room would be serviced. Because I read the other reviews. This DID NOT HAPPEN! They actually didn't service our room the entire stay. I had to go to the front desk and ask for clean towels and clean bedding. And we changed the bedding ourselves. We had a mountain of linens stacked in the middle of the room, becuase of their lack of attentiveness to the guest experience. I was disappointed, I called in the afternoon when we returned to our room to let them know it wasn't serviced and the woman literally said, "Ok, well there's nothing I can do about it". No attempt to problem solve, zero care. So if you want a great room, but don't care about your room getting cleaned, this is the place.

Staff is racist.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 1/5
They charge a HUGE rate for pets. Way more than every other hotel in the area. Our room also smelled SO bad like a chemical.
- 4.5/5
Staff remembers me Would like potatoes or bacon or cooked oatmeal options for breakfast bar
- 5/5
The pool wasn't open
- 4/5
Room layout was open and clean, staff were all helpful, loved that
- 4.5/5
The breakfast was amazing, always fresh I called to request a room away from the elevator and asked about the indoor pool since I had kids with me. I was told they would get me away from the elevator and wound up the closest room to the elevator. I was told the pool is running and stays warm. We get there to find it was down for repairs the entire weekend.
- 5/5
Surprising great experience. Very nice for the price, clean, well maintained, and GREAT breakfast. We got the 2 bedroom suite-- wow, awesome!
- 2/5
Space Got charged a fee when arriving when I wasn’t supposed to be charged again. But room was not refundable so either I paid or got nothing. Also found hairs in the showers.
- 4/5
Layout of room with plenty of table space Location is good in Naperville TV volume not working well
- 4/5
Room was very nice and staff were friendly. Good breakfast. Only complaint is that the lobby music that was directly beneath us kept me up all night. Room temperature was hot. If I could have run the AC it would’ve help to drown out the sound and keep me cool, but it didn’t work.
- 5/5
The clea
- 4/5
It was great the rooms are very comfy and bigger than most
- 3/5
They first gave us a room on the first floor, but then were able to move to the third with our Bonvoy status. There is a huge difference. The first floor rooms fridge door didn’t open since it was so close to the wall. There were no base boards. Looked like a bad flip job. The third floor room was nice and what I’d expect. The breast was standard and what you would expect.
- 1/5
I got charged twice, no room available when I arrived for a paid room
- 5/5
for breakfast - They ran out of scrambled eggs. Who can figure that out???
- 5/5
Yes pet friendly we saw. Like kitchen tools Like the counter and desk space
- 5/5
My home away from home when I'm in town...no complaints ever!!!!
- 5/5
Rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
- 5/5
This day was great. I would definitely stay at this place again and I will definitely recommend it.
- 1/5
Arrived at 3:20pm and was told our room wasn't ready. The manager, Derek, told us to give them 15min the room is still being cleaned. We said okay and waited in the lobby for an hour and decided to just leave and come back. Derek said 3 housekeepers are working on the room as a big mess was left from previous booking. Upon returning (3 hrs later) there were crumbles all over the counter, floor wasnt vaccumed, all bedside tables were not wiped down and sticky. Plastic shower liner was moldy. Bedsheets didn't appear to changed...NEVER AGAIN.
- 4.5/5
Location and price. They allow me early checkin and late checkout Shower bit leaky on bath floor. No yogurt for breakfast No bacon
- 3/5
It was ok
- 4/5
Good customer service.
- 3/5
Asked for daily change on checking in, had to ask next day again? What was the point in asking at check in? Side door was locked even when swipe showed green. Had to ask for sheets and pillows for addl guest booked.
- 4/5
I liked it because first of all it was pet friendly. Very convenient. Staff was nice. The only thing that was not good was our room wasn’t ready. But to make it up we were given another room with a free upgrade. That was great. So we will be back again.
- 3/5
We ordered a queen suite with a sofa bed. The sofa bed was much more comfortable as just a sofa, but horrible as a sofa bed. There was no cushioning whatsoever.
- 3/5
The staff weee nice. But my experience was bad. The first time we entered there was a row with a client. Then our room kept being held up. Another family came and their reservation was canceled. We ended up getting our room at 04:30 pm. The staff were apologetic but hapless and they ended up upgrading our room. The room was nice but the shower box was cracked and had stains.
- 4.5/5
Couch was uncomfortable
- 3/5
The kids playing on the basketball court were extremely loud in the morning. Breakfast options were very limited. Parking limited. Very disappointing overall.
- 3/5
We booked this hotel because it had a pool and hot tub. Both were closed for repairs. Which wasn't listed on the booking info nor on the hotel website. Secondly our room was a suite and was quite spacious but the bed had no boxspring and was maybe a foot off the floor and somewhat uncomfortable. Not what I expected from stays at other TownPlace Suites
- 4/5
It was very comfy
- 5/5
Will definitely be back again
- 0.5/5
If the hotel is under construction, smells like mold, everything has water damage. Everything is disgusting. This hotel should not be on any type of listing until the remodel is done. It had nasty water damage and it smells really nasty.
- 5/5
I'll be back
- 5/5
Love the table counter space
- 5/5
It was great
- 1/5
They look like they were doing some remodeling and also it stated that there was a sofa bed. It was more like a boxspring. I don’t know how they expect anyone to sleep on that. They also didn’t have an extra pillow and blanket for the pullout couch
- 2/5
Property is going through a remodel. Fire alarm went off in the early morning hours. No pool access as promised. No shampoo in the bathroom and no hot water. Drunk person at 2:15 yelling outside and staff did nothing to control this.
- 2/5
Our room was very nice, and the arrival temperature nice and warm. Our shower was cold water only, when we told the guy at the desk he only said it will be worked on tomorrow, did not offer to move to a different room or anything. Than at 2am they started working in the building, hammering, sawing etc., very loud. At 6 am the fire alarm went off, killing our ears, when we got to the entrance they told us nothing. Then finally they turned off the alarm. Again upon leaving they said nothing
- 2/5
SOFA BED is NOT a sofa bed!!! If the app would let me upload pics i would but please be area of the "sofa bed". It flips into a HARD flat bottom that front desk explained they could bring comforters to build a "bed". Wow!!!!!!!!!
- 3/5
Lots of road noice and room heater fan kicked on multiple time even though off
- 5/5
Very polite
- 3/5
Our first morning, there was some sort of power outage and breakfast was late getting out. This was a minor inconvenience and by the second breakfast still had electrical issues, but it went off without a hitch. We were in Room 417 (2 bedroom suite). The suite was well laid out and very clean. The difficulty with the suite was the inconsistent and obvious slope to the floor, the kink in the hot water line in the kitchenette which did not provide much water or any hot water, the clogged drain in the bathroom, and the condition of the hall down to the elevator (other guests just throw their bagged garbage by their door along with towels for staff to pick up. We had stayed across the way at another Marriott Hotel in October and they said at that time, all the remodeling should be completed. They were still laying tile on 12-23 and they put up the front desk on 12/27 when we left. The pool was closed as they were storing supplies on the pool desk. That was the one thing that we had up our sleeve to keep the grandkids happy. We would probably go back as it is convenient to family, just don't think we would stay in Room 417 again but on the other end where the water heater is!
- 2/5
Even after calling and confirming the availability of a hot tub and pool (possibly by 3rd party booking agency-I'm not sure) they were both off limits to guests. The staff didn't seem to want to be there and didn't seem to have anyone in authority. Desk clerk was playing with her phone, the person making breakfast came late and the gentleman who started breakfast seems visibly upset by the situation. Once again, the room itself, was quite nice.
- 1.5/5
The rooms were nice and obviously being remodeled. But the entire building was under renovation which made it quite uncomfortable. There was saw dust everywhere, machines and cords left in the hallways. The front desk was a folding table next to what looks like would’ve been the receiving area; completed gutted from ceiling to floor. The renovating… I had no issue with this, but inform visitors before committing and paying their money. I arrived from another state and had no idea!
- 5/5
Nice property they are in the middle of revonation
- 3/5
Naperville is a beautiful town, we were there for the first weekend in May and the weather was great. The hotel needs taking care of it's a bit rundown, I'm sure it's seen better days.
- 3/5
3/5 stars due to dated room, elevator had an odor and also seemed dated. Staff were excellent and friendly. Breakfast was adequate. Called ahead before booking on Expedia and staff member told me pool and hot tub would be open but then both were closed and have been for some time due to renovations which timeline wasn’t certain when I asked staff member at check-in. Beds could be updated as well. Location is a great convenience - near everything and Top Golf, for the golf enthusiast. Worth the stay once renovations are completed, hopefully.
- 5/5
Three friends and I were originally booked at this property but due to construction they moved us to the Fairfield Inn across from them, which was fine. We were notified before we arrived and everything went smooth and we all had a nice stay.
- 4/5
It was a great stay - just wish I had know the pool & hot tub were not in working order.
- 4/5
Breakfast was not great but typical for a continental breakfast at a hotel.
- 5/5
Spacious rooms, great location, great price. My room was the perfect size. Loved it!
- 3/5
Hotel was okay. Room was large and gave us some extra room. Not much put out at the buffet for the breakfast on Saturday morning. Hotel seemed quite empty. Our room was not touched by housekeeping on Saturday. We could have used a few additional towels as well. We will not return to this hotel during future visits.
- 1/5
Dirty
- 1/5
Breakfast was mediocre There was no pool and the description stated it was not available in 2015....its 2024. No one told us. We could not tell anyone of our issues because there was no one around a lot. There was no one even around at checkout. We only saw someone at check in.
- 4/5
The room was great, comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen. The breakfast was not great- coffee was cold, they didn't keep the food well stocked. We chose this hotel because it had a pool and hot tub, but they were both closed. The hotel should have notified us that the pool was closed prior to our arrival. That was disappointing!
- 3/5
Had a leak so the first floor smelled like mildew for the first few days. Stayed 6 nights and the room cleaning team didn’t come once. Had to ask front desk for more toilet paper and a young kid wasn’t very friendly about it.
- 1/5
One of the room heater was inop and the bed was lumpy, the fire alarm went off 3 time due my stay.
- 3/5
Full refrigerator suite Built near major expressway, noise from vehicles unacceptable
- 4/5
Communication about room cleaning was vague.
- 4/5
Please change and rotate your breakfast options
- 2/5
Not very clean with garbage overflowing and no room cleaning service for 3 days even when requested.
- 4.5/5
Staycation
- 1/5
Hard to find within the industrial complex; overwhelming smell of chlorine in lobby; narrow hallways which had not been vacuumed and smelled of sweat and mold; incredibly small bathroom with limited lighting; noise from freeways was overwhelming; breakfast of stale bread and stale cereal. I booked because it was called a Marriott Bonvoy. Regardless, this hotel was unpleasant.
- 5/5
Traveled with our dog. There is a very nice walking path around a pond.
- 5/5
Nice size rooms decent breakfast all around good experience.
- 5/5
It was great!
- 5/5
The room we were in was close to the highway, so it was a little noisy.
- 5/5
The hotel was convenient to major highways and shopping. I like the spaciousness of the room,my kids had plenty of space. It was nice to have a pool and hot tub to wind down in the evenings.
- 4/5
Wish it was a little more updated
- 4/5
Location good, older building. Breakfast barely anything. See a wifi charge even $4.95x4 for 3 nights stay, called the hotel and hoping they'll take it off. Room/suite size was OK, kitchen good, bathroom small - shows repair patches, beds just OK. Met our requirements for having a kitchen in the suite during our trip - due to diet requirements, we balanced eating outside vs. home food for kids.
- 2/5
We stayed at this property preCovid and it was a very nice property! It now is run down! We booked 6 rooms 4 of which stunk like dirty feet and musty. The room types that we booked months in advance, 2 bedroom 2 bath, we were told were not available at checkin. They were overbooked and wanted to give us a basic room with 2 beds 1 bath. After spending 45 minutes complaining they finally weren’t “overbooked” any longer and we received the rooms that we had originally reserved. There was no manager on-site or available so the desk clerk did his best. I l called Marriott and was told they couldn’t do anything to help it is a local issue. The breakfast is nothing to write home about. It is a pet friendly hotel and the vast majority of people staying had dogs. They even brought them into the breakfast area during breakfast. We will NOT stay here again! If you do book here, have a backup plan!!
- 4/5
The hotel is a beautiful facility and the front staff was attentive and friendly. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. My main issue was with the breakfast staff. We stayed three days, and on more than one occasion various food items and the coffee had run out, with no one in sight to take care of it. On the last day there was no scrambled eggs, and I was told they didn’t have any left. You would think someone would have made an effort to buy some eggs at a local grocery store that morning to prevent that from happening, but no one made the effort. I was really surprised and disappointed with how poorly the breakfasts were being managed.
- 4/5
Amenities- pool, breakfast, room set up.
- 5/5
Area made it convenient.
- 3/5
Our stay was fine but the property is tired. Our room was clean but everything seemed tired.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
Excellent clean room with fridge and stove
- 5/5
Room was spacious and well laid out. Bathroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
- 3/5
Hotel room was not clean toys from previous children left in room and hair in the beds. Called front desk they told us we could change our own sheets. Ridiculous for a $200 a night hotel stay. Would not recommend to anyone.
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful service as always!
- 5/5
The staff was friendly, and the location very convenient to highway and train. The bed was comfortable and shower had great pressure!
- 5/5
Nice location
- 5/5
Everything was clean and staff were very friendly
- 4/5
Great location, great breakfast
- 5/5
The staff was great!
- 5/5
Great staff. Very polite and efficient. The breakfast was one of the better free breakfasts I've seen lately. The room was roomy and laid out well. My only complaint would be the TV was on the small side.
- 4/5
I stayed here with my 2 daughters, the pull out bed was not comfortable for them, it was mostly springs so they slept with me. The shower could of used a cleaning there were hair shavings and what i could only hope to be conditioner on the shower wall. Other than that everything else was great. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay again
- 5/5
We had a really great time with family and friends! We did see a couple of worms by the pool, so that should be addressed. But otherwise, the hotel was clean, the room was spacious, and we would stay again!
- 5/5
I had an excellent stay here. The staff we very attentive and room was ideal.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. I witnessed staff provide food to a family that arrived late for breakfast. Clearly the staff cares. Housekeeping was friendly and provided great service when requested. Everything met or exceeded expectations from the breakfast to the indoor pool and hot tub to ample parking to the size of the rooms. There is a Cracker Barrel within walking distance.
- 5/5
The room and hotel were clean.
- 4/5
.oved the suite
- 5/5
Spent the weekend for my birthday and I had a great time. I was greeted right away when I walked in and she was very friendly and nice. I think her name was kayla I don’t remember sorry. Breakfast was great. And then checking out was so easy and and the manager was nice and made me feel welcomed even though I was checking out. I will definitely be coming back. Very nice and quiet hotel which is what I like the most
- 5/5
Can't say enough about the cleanliness of the property together with staff's courtesy. Would stay here again!
- 5/5
The room was great, comfortable beds. The added living area and kitchenett was a nice addition. Hotel was in a good location. Naperville is a beautiful city.
- 5/5
Great Service, nice amenities.
- 5/5
Exceeded expectations at every turn. Room was big and nicely equipped. Breakfast was expansive and high quality. Nice indoor pool and hot tub.
- 5/5
Room, staff, and breakfast were all great. Location was very convenient for travel in the area.
- 5/5
Shower surround was glazed over, and was peeling off in 2 spots. Otherwise, room was very updated and kitchen was well equipped.
- 1/5
Hotel was ok. However for the price of suite the continental breakfast was cheap, and disgusting. The suite is advertised as having a full and stocked kitchen. Mines wasnt and when I left a comment politely advising them, i received the rudest email saying Im sorry you dont know how to look. Lol, the kitchen is tiny and I looked in ALL the cabinets, the room only had plates, no silverware, a coffee pot and no cups. Go elsewhere, their rude attitude from corporate definitely explains the state of facility.
- 5/5
😊 Great !!!
- 5/5
Our room was very nice, clean, and just the right size for the two of us. Our only complaint about the room is that it always felt a bit humid, even though we had the air conditioners serviced.
- 5/5
Great Suite!!
- 5/5
Noisy people upstairs at 3 am otherwise excellent
- 4/5
The sofa bed was not comfortable at all
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable and relaxing! We really enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
Stay was very comfortable. Rooms were spacious and clean. I got a free upgrade which was a pleasent surprise. Breakfast had many options. Overall the service was excellent.
- 4/5
Found a few dead bugs in the window and pool area but other than that a great stay with our grandson. Dinner nearby to walk to!
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful. Amenities were great. Loved the rooms
- 5/5
Loved staying here. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were amazing. Breakfast wasn't much because of covid but we took advantage of the kitchenette and made our own. Being next to the interstate was a little noisy but not terrible. Very friendly staff. Pool was open but needed reservations, hot tub was not. Overall, one of the better places we have stayed at and will stay again if we go back to the area.
- 5/5
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😷❤️❤️😷❤️😷❤️❤️❤️😷❤️❤️❤️❤️😷❤️❤️❤️😷😷😷😷
- 4/5
Nice property, easy locations and excellent staff.
- 5/5
TownePlace was the perfect choice. I had read through the reviews and they were spot on! The facility was trendy and clean. The room was excellent! I had gotten a larger suite with a kitchen for a very reasonable rate. The bed was super comfy, had all the amenities, and quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 5/5
This place is perfect. I had a queen suite. Everything is clean and in good order. The kitchen is well appointed and functional. The living area has a comfortable couch and ottoman, a side table, and a lap tray. The tv is a smaller size but it works well enough. You can watch regular channels or stream your favorite services. There’s a lot of lamps, but I had to move one by the desk when it was dark outside. The desk is mobile so you can wheel it wherever you want and there are handy shelves. The windows are large and let in a lot of sunshine. The shower!! is amazing!! Great pressure and a great shower head. I stayed in there longer than normal because it was so nice. Bring your hair dryer. I didn’t find one. My one suggestion is that they put a bell or buzzer at the front desk to call the clerk. I’ll be staying here again.
- 5/5
Loved the extra space in the room and sitting area. Only thing missing from the kitchen area would have been an oven or toaster oven but most things microwave just fine these days. The full size refrigerator is very nice snd helpful especially on longer stays. My only detractors were a bed that was too soft for me (my wife would have loved it probably) and the on site washer/dryers were quarter’s only and there was no way to get change in the hotel. A very good stay overall and it gets my recommendation for a more affordable longer stay type hotel that has a kitchen and sitting area.
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable bed and pillows, great amenities
- 5/5
The suite was cool. I love the kitchen area and how the living area and the bedroom was separate.
- 5/5
The room was very spacious I love how it had a kitchen kinda like an apartment
- 5/5
exceptional (home away from home)
- 2/5
There were alarms going off @1am but overall it was a good stay oh an the pool was cloths
- 5/5
I love the stay it was great nothing open to use but it’s a nice hotel
- 5/5
Really clean and comfortable everything was super close to us
- 5/5
We loved the flexibility the rooms gave us. The staff were great. We loved the policies they took to keep us and them safe from spreading COVID. Grateful that they still provided a small breakfast regardless of the kitchen being closed. We really enjoyed our stay!
- 1/5
The air conditioners had a lot of ants coming out of them. The ants were in the carpet and in the bed. My 4 year old had a bunch of ant bites on her back and arms. On of the staff told me the GM would call me today and I still haven’t received a call. Very disappointed
- 5/5
This place is always on point. Never a complaint. One could love here to be honest. Its tranquil and quiet.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, and the bed comfortable. I picked this hotel so I could make my own meals, and everything was included for me. Very happy with my stay.
- 5/5
Perfect location, clean room, comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again.
