Sleep Inn Naperville - Chicago

We checked in and since we were going to be there a while we had some real unpacking to do. While unpacking we noticed their was zero cable guide available on the cable service or written on a cheat sheet. So the channels were labeled 32.1, 8.6 ??? With zero navigation except going through every channel. We notified the manager and they said they would have the guide on our return. On our departure Sunday we received no relief. 1st night we took off our shoes and the carpet was soaked, the keys no longer functioned, the hallway smelled like a pot growing factory, the faucet would not stop running, and the carpeting was frazzled and in disrepair and the room smelled moldy. We told management all of these items and so far heard nothing! We left the ac on while we toured Chicago on full blast and helped with the smell. No other rooms were available plus they never cleaned the room. They said they clean on Thursdays and Mondays. I asked what day it was and the manager said Thursday! OK why wasn't the room cleaned and all the other issues addressed since it's Thursday? They promised to comp us and get in touch and have not heard a word. I will leave a review on social media platforms if they continue to not address the situation.

Old property renovated, rooms are clean, but not the nicest, perk is having a jet tub in the bathroom of certain rooms, which is why I stayed there. Front desk person was rude, but they have free breakfast.

Very good stay overall

My hotel room did not seem like it had been fully cleaned. There was still hair in the shower and bathtub. There were only two lamps that barely brought any light to the room, which resulted to me also using my flashlight on my phone with the two lamps on so i could somewhat see. When checking into the hotel, the worker failed to explain where my room was located and left me to find it on my own. There was also a distinct smell in the hallways and not in a good way. The toilet also barely seemed to work and almost made a screeching like sound when flushing it. This was my first time getting a hotel on my own as a young adult and it definitely disappointed me.

The room reminded me of a dorm room. Sink didn’t drain. Shower leaked on the floor. Elevator was out of service. Very poorly maintained facility.

I realize that it is impossible to see that a carpet is wet or damp when rooms are cleaned.

Check in and check out easy. Did not get any Breakfast. Plenty of parking. Room was clean. Noise mostly ok, but basketball court next door, people playing a bit late.

Place was ok. Whoever stayed in my room begot me but stickers on the end tables and housekeeping decided it looked good and left it I guess. There was also long black hair on my toilet seat and I have light ginger hair. I fixed the table issue and foreign hair before I left.

Room 112. The in room whirlpool was great. Very clean and even though it was just off the interstate it was very quiet.

Outdated, poorly maintained, my room had a half inch crack at the wall and ceiling corner all along the wall. The entry door was replaced at some point with a slightly smaller one so now i can stick my palm out thru that gap. Place is a dump.

They have bed bugs. I was looking at price watch all day, only 2 rooms left. The first room had bed bugs everywhere then they put me in the last room available, same thing. Now I know why no one took those rooms

Stinky carpets

I’m confused at the high rating this hotel received on Hotels.com. I usually don’t leave reviews but this was pretty bad. A terrible smell in the hallway, smoking even though it was smoke free (maybe someone was smoking outside our window?), the person at the front desk barely acknowledged us, the sheets were stained, basically we got what we paid for. The worst part was that something felt way off. I couldn’t wait to get out of there and shake off that feeling. Sounds strange, I know but I don’t know how else to put it.

The room wasn’t clean. I asked to switch rooms, they were fully booked. Instead of a refund I’m being offered 50% of next stay. I did take pictures of everything

Breakfast was very good. Plenty of variety. It was presented well by the staff.

Rude very rude desk person ignored my questions. Bathroom was nasty. Toilet seat had dried poop on it and under the lid. Would of canceled after the first interaction with him but already made the reservation that day. No cancelation could be made. It was sad that the desk guy was so rude. Im thinking it was because I wasnt hindu. Group of people there in the lobby I was the only non hindu. Rudeness like that shouldnt be tolerated. Just because you own the business doesn't mean you can treat people wrong!

Location The hotel smelled horrible. There was a party going on in the hallway until 2am and I couldn’t sleep due to the loud noise. Housekeeping didn’t show up at all and I had to empty my own trash cans. The hotel is absolutely horrible.

The property and the amenities were fine. Even the breakfast was good. My stay was on par until I discovered ants crawling out of the wall in my room bathroom.

Didn't try the breakfast, but the location was good for what I had to come into town for. The smell in the room was stale and when I used my card key it was hard to insert correctly and once it opened the lock I had to practically throw my body against the door to force it opened. Happy to check out when I did.

nothing super run down, pee in the toilet still , half way cleaned , staff talking outside room door super loud waking up my child many times, front desk staff didn’t know what he was doing.

This hotel wasn’t bad however I do feel like they need to improve the cleanliness of the hotel more it wasn’t dirty but it was things like hair left over on the sink and handles very dusty on top of microwave and behind dresser between beds however my stay wasn’t horrible at all just feel like they can be more clean and updated as far as bedding chairs etc it’s a little old worn and outdated

The room was clean, but needed some TLC. The insolation was almost none. Every single noise from the hallway was like inside the room.

The room was pictured just as it was advertised in booking.com. it was clean, comfortable and I would rebook again when we're in the area. Very satisfied. The heater in the room was difficult to regulate. Either it was too warm on low heat or too cold when we just put the fan on.

The building smelled, we had to get rid of 2 flying beetles. The other guests were loud. We didn’t get much sleep. I guess it was expected for the price. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Potty was non functional. We had to use the plunger and fix it once. But it got clogged again. This time we could not fix, after much effort. We changed room.

Rooms are clean and staff is well behaved.

The room was absolutely spotless. All amenities are available at all times. Rita and the manager are amazing plus plus plus which is always great when you feel welcomed. I would highly recommend coming here for a nice warm breakfast a comfy bed a fitness center and everything is clean clean clean.

Clean Key cards stop working but they’re friendly and will fix

The location was good for us for the places we had to go. There were tiles by the bathroom that were cracked and could have cut your foot if you didn't watch where you walked and the shower door looked like it was installed wrong. You took a shower and all the water leaked to the floor. And the TV remote was a little confusing in changing channels.

There is mold in the rooms. The room we checked into had mold in the bathroom and on the curtains. I am allergic and instantly got a headache. The next 4 rooms I was shown after that all had mold too. There was an awful odor too. No one should be staying there due to the mold. I was there only from 2:30am to 7am. The person at the front desk was not apologetic and acted as if there was nothing wrong.

Not the best mostly all the self serving equipment,in the hotels like TV ice machine bathroom sink mini fridge didn’t or barely worked.

The rooms are very dated. Much like a Motel. The closets are tight with no room to hang a dress or anything past the waistline. My earring fell on the floor and under the bathroom counter was absolutely disgusting. Literally 2 towels and one wash cloth in the room for 2 people. I would not recommend this for a stay.

Orange juice was not really good

We came for a business trip and stayed 4 days. We wasn't at the hotel much. It was clean the staff was friendly. I also want to say the lady that sits out the breakfast does a wonderful job I don't know how she makes a continetial breakfast look so amazing.

The beakfast was what you would expect, eggs, sausage, waffles etc. What made it really special was the breakfast attendant!! Wish I had gotten her name..she made breakfast delightful!!

The check-in was decent. The only thing I’d recommend is to check your pillows, and to get new ones. I couldn’t sleep the whole night because they were old and not comfortable. There was no conditioner in the bathroom or lotion, to have your staff check it. The first room I check-in to had an Oder and the bathroom not clean. The guy at check-in was kind to put me into another room right away. That part was the best part of my whole experience.

Overall good for a night stay. Bed not to comfortable but also options on beds vary so much. Medium firm bed.

This whole hotel needs to be entirely renovated, however, it was a pleasant stay because the pond around the hotel was very calming and peaceful and that made my stay a 10/10.

breakfast was ok.. location convenient.. hallways and my room had that musty sour smell to it.. it smelled like a dirty gym lockerroom.. the hallways stank the room stank and was musty smelling.. the bathroom door didnt close good needed fixed, and just had that dirty not so clean feel to the place.. like it could be good but just wasnt really...hope i didnt bring home bedbugs.....

This location gave us a double room that was dirty, the toliet backing did not fit the top part so it was hitting your back. About one of the beds was projectile vomit from the lampshade the wall and the ceiling. It was all over the picture frames as well. Gave us a different room but not at first. Never again… please drive away also the elevator sounds like it will fall apart going down. It makes a clicking noises you can feel at the bottom.

Room was dirty, not as advertised. Asked to be put in a new room and they said they were fully booked. Asked for a refund and was told I’d have to wait for Monday to talk to the manager. I would highly advise not staying here.

Staff was friendly and efficient. We had sugar ants in our room...in the bed, floor, on the furniture...and there were ants in the area that was designated for the continental breakfast. Hopefully that can be rectified by upper management.

They cancel my reservation without telling me

First off they have a pool on property but they said it has not been cleaned in 2 years. When you see it it is absolutely filthy. The Men that work up front are dismissive and a bit rude. I will never stay the again. Elevator license was expired and it was making loud noises. We were there for 2 nights.

Was supposed to be a smoke free room. The first room I was given had a lot of cigarette smoke, and then I was assigned the room next to that room. The entrances were also littered with cigarette butts.

It is a bit older of a property but my room was nicely remodeled with glass shower doors. Very nice for what I needed. Breakfast was better than most places I’ve been. Staff was very friendly. Right next to a Cracker Barrel and within a couple blocks walk from bars and fast food restaurants.

The room was a bit dark but large. The bathroom is like a capsule. I don't like the sink to be outside the bathroom. Other facilities & amenities were satisfactory. Close to shops.

Pros: breakfast was decent. Coffee was good. It was clean. Checked for bed bugs and did not find any. Watching the ducks in the pond outside was enjoyable.

Good location for 2 night stay, breakfast was very good. The property is a little aged but well maintained. I would tated higher if i hadn't seen a couple of ants running around. Cleaning staff was a bit overzealous about room check out--they asked my 4 times while walking by if i was done with my room-- it was only 9am

Helpful staff, clean rooms. Whirlpool in first room not operational. Second room whirlpool worked, then discovered refrigerator did not. It was replaced next afternoon. Good breakfast offerings. could've used a second chair in a king bed room.

Wonderful bed, very clean. The toilet got clogged about the last hour we were there. We did not call the front desk as we were in a hurry. Other than that everything was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

No matter what cuisine you are looking for, it is within a 5 minute drive from this property. The rooms are nice and very spacious.

A very pleasant stay. Staff is friendly and helpful, the beds are comfortable, and they have many options on the breakfast buffet.

The staff was wonderful and very friendly. Overall the accommodations were nice, but we did notice the room had areas that could be cleaner (spots on the walls, broken glass on picture frame, dirty phone). It's the little things that give an overall impression of cleanliness.

The bed was really comfortable!

The smell in my room was awful. I can't explain what the smell was. Luckily the window opened. There is mold above the bathroom door. There is mildew everywhere in the bathroom. The sheets were very scratchy. There was a piece of a cookie and a sock on the floor next to the bed. Writing this review makes me think I should never have stayed here.
