I usually don't write a bad review but this place was not nice at all....Upon arriving the exterior looked well maintained. Landscaping good, pool looked clean. Has beachfront access. The room itself was filthy. There were bugs on the floor. The bedding was dirty. Bathtub had been painted and peeling. The room needed an overhaul. The staff was complaining. Parking was decent. Trump sign in the owners office suite. Come-on people this is a business not a political statement. But then again maybe it is as nasty and deceiving as the place was.

The room had a odor specifically in the restroom. If you place close attention to the drawers and floor spots were dusty. Our room had an excellent view and other than that the room was ok.

We really enjoyed this place this year. One of the better hotels for a fair price.. housekeeping was on it and the place was very nice.. hopefully we can book again for next year..

Room was decent for the price. Unfortunately we did find a roach in the room, was not a water bug. The door knob was a mess and was very inconvenient when trying to get in. The staff is very very friendly which I enjoyed the most. The rooms need a bit updating.

I have never written a review in my life but for this one I just had to. Got there a couple of hours earlier than my check-in. They told me the room wasn’t ready yet because it was still being cleaned. Got in the room. The floor was filthy. My feet turned black after walking on it one of the beds. The bed skirt was filthy. Had dirt stains on it. The bed cover had a burn mark or some kind of melted mark on it, the sliding glass door was broken and didn’t close completely. It was left a little bit open. The bathroom tub was in all chipped up and scratched there was dirt on the walls. The Wi-Fi is got awful and constantly went out. It also smelled like cigarettes in the room. If you’re a smart person don’t rent this place. Room number was 211.

i like the location of this property. This place is terrible. Wasn’t cleaned ,wasn’t swept, trash/gum on the floor, tables has an oily substance in them, hair all over bed, door handle is broken comes right off, drawer is broken came right off, the water gets boiling hot over and over in the shower, toilet was nasty, stove was nasty, mold all over the lamps, box spring has stains everywhere, board locks the patio door. I definitely do not recommend this place the only good thing is that it’s beach side.This place isn’t worth $40 when we told the staff about how bad it was they said it’s one of their older buildings (which I guess means they don’t clean old buildings?) and pretty much said we got what we paid for which was $112 for one night. i don’t mind at all that the building and rooms are outdated, but the room was just plain dirty. management/owners need to be inspecting these rooms after housekeeping because these rooms are not being cleaned.

The room was very nice! The ocean front view was breathtaking!!The bed was so comfortable! The only thing I did not like was the parking!! There is not alot of places to park. And there was not enough carts! Would I ever come back, maybe. But overall I enjoyed my stay. And I would recommend that people come and stay there.

All we could smell was marijuana. I start choking when I have smoke around me. All day/all night is all you could smell. Headboard fell off wall into arm and bruised it up. I told office person and all he said was, "Oh do you bruise easy? Do you need to see doctor?". No, I should've been compensated for that and the fact that, unless you were on the beach 24/7, you couldn't enjoy your vacation in your room when you wanted to relax. You couldn't bring food back to your room, take a nap, or relax because of the smell, the banging next door or above you. Horrible!

Bald headed man was very discriminative when my drag queen friend was standing on the property Monday morning around 2am he kept following her and even said get off our property. rooms were old and unkept. Balconies carpet was molded super wet and dripping from above rooms. Tub and toilet was rusted.

Need more lighting, clean chair, ac was leaking and had to put down towels. The door needs to have a catcher so bugs can’t come in. The floor was too much moisture on it.

It’s a good cheap stay near the end of the main strip. The staff is great. They were all very friendly. The pool is nice. Indoor that flows to the outside. I believe it’s heated. The bed was comfortable and the room was what we needed. Nice little kitchen with a few dishes and cookware. It’s an older hotel so it needs a good scrub. But not the kind of scrub that I’d expect the everyday staff to do. I feel like every now and then the company should send a crew in to do a deep clean. It has an elevator. It’s close enough to everything but far enough from everything at the same time. There’s beach access right off the pool area. The 2nd ave pier is steps away. Parking is limited at the actual hotel but there’s two overflow lots across the street. I will say that the first two floors that are beach side are not ocean view. It’s all blocked by the palm trees. Just something to keep in mind at check in. I’d stay here again without a second thought. Again, they have a great staff.

Where do I start☹️This place was awful, first off we had roaches in our room, the bathtub was stopped up, it was a hairball in one of the queen size bed along with dried blood in the same bed, the balcony door will barely open. The stove has rust all on it and very dirty. The toilet kept overflowing. We complained about it that night as soon as we got there a little after 10 PM. The staff would not move us because they did not have any other rooms available until the next morning. They did move us into another room, but that room wasn't much better either as the toilet was stopped up. . I spoke with the general manager Saturday morning after I was charged Friday night $97. for the upgrade room. The general manager did refunding my money back.. very nasty hotel especially room 309

We had an amazing view of the beach. Parking was a little tight but we were lucky to get a good spot. The room had a full size fridge and a stove that we weren’t expecting. There was a coffee maker but no coffee in the room and if I had known I would have taken some. So we walked about 2 blocks for Starbucks because the lobby didn’t have any. Also walking distance to Wicked Tuna.

I already left a review. Not sure why I am being asked to submit another. The view was stunning and exactly what I had hoped for. I was able to park close to the hotel and never had to move it during our stay. Everything was in a nice walking distance. The rates were very budget friendly and it was nice to have a kitchenette area. The sliding door to go out onto the balcony had major issues. It took 2 people to be able to slide it open. Something was definitly wrong with it. The bathroom sink and tub/ shower did not drain properly. Had to stand in a tub half full of water while showering and it took the better part of a day for it to drain out. It was great that they have an outdoor pool as well as an indoor pool and hot tub. The hot tub probably could use a good cleaning. The room definitly needed a deep cleaning. But, it was doable. The staff was very friendly and everytime I saw the house keeper, she asked if I needed anything. I would probably stay here again. Even with the issues. We were in the smaller walk up hotel. Not sure how the rooms were in the larger hotel. They had multiple parking lots in close vicinity. Very fortunate to have a good deal on rates that allowed to spend $ in other areas while staying. It made a beach trip affordable.

Great staff and great parking for the motorcycle under building. They blocked it off just for the bikes for bike week 26. Hopefully see them next year!!

We had to go out and purchase cleaning supplies from neighborhood Walmart to clean the excessive amount of dust and dirt from the room. I have an allergy to mold and dust and there was no way I could stay in the room without doing so. We had to sanitize the air, the carpets, the curtains, beds, clean off all the wood. It was really poorly maintained. The place seriously needs updating and they really need to pull that carpet up off the floors because it has seen better days and there was no way I was going to walk on it without any shoes on. Other than that the ocean view was beautiful. We could sleep with the patio door open because the breeze was so nice and it was bug free every day! There is also way too much bleach in the pool. I would consider returning again, if they seriously put money into sprucing up the site. Beyond that, though the staff was very accommodating, and even though the floor housekeeper was away for the weekend, her replacement did a very good job, making sure that our room was tidied up in addition to what we had to do to clean it.

The front desk staff was extremely nice. Ince I got to room however, I was afraid to even put anything in the room. The pictures are decieving online. Linens dingy, old, and worn. Furtinure was the same way. It looked dirty and seriously out dated. The mattresses has signs of bedbugs. I immediatly booked accomadations elswhere.

The toaster was unusable, the bathetube was very old and enamel was chipped, the showerhead was really old and in need of replacing ,The windows needed a good cleaning. But for the cost it wasn't bad.

I liked that they were able to offer new rooms to us when our previous rooms did not work out. The beach access, balcony, and view were all amazing. The beds were very comfortable. It's really hard to think of anything else to write that's super positive. We booked online only to discover that it was a three-floor walkup. My friend and I are disabled and that would not work for us. They moved us to a new room in the second building with an elevator, but unfortunately, the room smelled too bad to stay in. I began gagging almost instantly. They moved us to another room yet again. This room was dirty - the jets in the bathtub looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in years, there was trash on the floor, the coffee pot and microwave were both very dirty, there was a white powdery substance all over the table. There also weren't a lot of accessible power outlets. The vent had some sort of crusted dirt on it. The utensils provided in the kitchen had dried food on them. After checking out, my friend had to return to the room to grab a forgotten item to find a housekeeper taking a nap on the bed. The phone in our room didn't work, so every time we had to ask the front desk a question, we had to go downstairs and across the lot to get to them.

Our room was not clean when we got in it. The counter top, kitchen table and coffee table had not been cleaned. The floors had not been swept or vacuumed. Balcony was full of sand and empty mimi liquid bottles and plastic shot glass. Neither of our TVs worked. Called and reported it all they said was I’m so sorry to hear that. The TVs weren’t going to be fixed till the next day so I asked for a refund to go somewhere else then I was put on hold, when she came back was told someone would be there soon to fix it. I ran into a maintenance guy and he came right up and fixed them, when I asked him to fix them I thought he was the one coming. Well he wasn’t the guy that was supposed to come at 9:00pm that night. We were already lying down due to traveling most of the day. I feel we should have been offered some kind of compensation, or a night free stay. I don’t know if we would stay at this hotel again. All thou the amenities and the grounds of the hotel and the beaches were beautiful very well kept.

Even though I don’t like Myrtle Beach, that’s the staff at this particular property was very helpful acknowledge

We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite with 2 queen beds and full kitchen, first of all, they promised us that we would be on the 6th floor, when we got there they said we would be on the 4th floor, I asked the guy at the desk if we could be in another room and he said that they didnt have anything else, of course this is after we paid, anyway the room that they gave us had a toilet leaking at the base, a free standing air conditioner unit in the bedroom that could not keep our room cool, we had to actually close the door off from the kitchen to keep the cool air in there, thank God I brang my fan because I would been sweating at night, also the air conditioner was sitting in a pan that kept filling up with water and we called maintenance to empty it, also the air conditioner would have blinking lights at night where it would shut off and on, all the furniture in the living area was stained and old and the carpet had alot of stains, the shower had poor water pressure, honestly , I would never stay here again, the only good thing was the view and you can get that in any oceanfront balcony

This place was cheap. New carpet in the room which was good. The sheets were very wrinkled and thin. I think they had been changed. I hope. Surprisingly the bed slept very well.

The staff was amazing!!! The hotel was in a great spot on the beach easy walk to the beach or use one of the pools. Its not the hotels fault but the smell of weed was overwhelming to the point my husband had to run to the car at 2am because I couldn’t sleep with the smell he grabbed some unopened air fresheners and we put it on the vent and next to the bed it really helped!! I mean I understand this is some people’s lifestyle but not everyone it really bothers me. Most of the room was remodeled but the kitchen was a lil old looking compared to the rest of the room but didn’t effect our stay it was nice having a full refrigerator to put our things in. We will definitely be back so affordable for a night or two away! We only live an hour and a half away but it was a nice lil mini vacation. Thank you for such amazing customer service.

The hotel is older but the room was clean, except the carpet. It was stained and made my bare feet black. The view was fantastic. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I did have trouble with the key cards the entire stay.

The major mayday was the stains over majority of white linens. Soiled chairs and couch.

We were on the 3rd floor of a 3 floor walk up ocean front. View from room was beautiful. Great location. We didn't use either of the pools while we were here but they looked very clean and maintained. It's an older property but which doesn't bother us. They do have a newer larger hotel on the property. We would come back again.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. The pool was so dirty. I couldn’t even swim in it. My bathtub had holes and cracks could not even take a bath. My balcony was full of mode and mildew from the leaking air conditioner, which was also nasty. Couldn’t even take my shoes out on the balcony because it was so nasty.

Only one elevator made it extremely slow during busy times

Perfect view of the ocean and beach, balcony was a beautiful place to watch the sunrise. The hot tub was superb!! The beach was a little chilly, so it was nice to come in and unwind at the hot tub. The hotel staff was welcoming and went above and beyond to meet our needs. This is a family run hotel, an older classic right by the pier and in a quieter section of the boardwalk. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here again!

They need to invest in new blankets they are very yellow and fix the hot tub and pool it’s way to strong my eyes burned just walking in the pool area it’s a fair condition hotel it sits on the beach and the price was good staff is very nice and accommodating it was my 2 time there and won’t be my last

The size of the room was perfect and it’s in a great location beside 2nd pier. The room was disgusting. It wasn’t cleaned. It was press on nail, and pop tarts behind the sofa. Drink spilled beside the bed on the sheet, the shower wasn’t cleaned. Things were broken, and bugs in the sink. The pools were dirty so we enjoyed the beach.

Paid for ocean view but put on first floor. Updates above us or next store all we could smell was Marijuana. We've. Stayed here 2 other times and loved it. This time was just horrible. Wasn't enjoyable at all. Had to clean the room myself.

Because my brain triggers my stomach lol I couldn't use the shower because of the spots from peeling (it was clean though). The palm trees were in the way of the view but no biggie.

I have been staying at the Windsurfer for over 6 years. While the price is right, the condition of the property is in need of repair. Room 308 - 3 story walkup. Bathroom sink clogged, I noticed a sediment in the sink, which was from the clog finally draining. I tried to wash the sediment down, but the sink just filled up again. Balcony door wouldn't close securely, wooden stick used to prevent opening from outside. Two table lamps, only one had working bulb. Reported sink to front desk upon leaving.

The rooms were nice for the price. They were clean. I also liked the division of the rooms. Loved that it had a full kitchen as well. The only issue was that the housekeeper only came to clean the room once the entire 4 days we stayed. We had to go to the front desk to ask for towels and tissue our entire stay. We also had to empty the trash because of no service from housekeeping. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Another issue we experienced was the elevator. It was out of service a few times. But they fixed it eventually. Lastly, our room key kept messing up as well. We had to get it scanned a few times that we were there so that we could get in our room. Other than that, the view of the beach and the ocean from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking. There were plenty of fun activities, shopping centers, and restaurants around. This stay is very family-friendly. We are already planning to visit again. More than likely at a different hotel. My overall ranking would be a 4.5 out of 5 stars. Everything was good except for the few discrepancies I named.

I had a balcony with a beach view and it was simply gorgeous and unobstructed. The lady that did the housekeeping most days was so kind and I always had plenty of towels and toilet paper. It is a really comfortable, laid-back atmosphere.

Love this hotel. One of my favorites! Always one of my favorites and staff is nice and helpful! My 2 year old loves it and the pool other than something happened with maintenance cutting the heater off so didn’t really get to enjoy the pool but still will be back! Very clean. Didn’t know that they had laundry services but will make use next time. Definitely recommend!

Never saw this before and I have stayed in a lot of low priced hotels. Someone had painted the bathtub and half of the paint was flaking off. I took a chance and had a long soak but flakes of paint were comming off and floating to the surface! I had to shower after my bath to clean myself.

We stay in Myrtle every year this place was by far the worst. Rooms were filthy after checking in, refrigerator/freezer didn’t work (we bought food the first night and woke up the next morning with everything melted and ruined) complained to front desk they had someone fix it but I feel like we should’ve been reimbursed!! Balcony outside carpet was moldy and hasn’t been replaced for probably years! No clean extra bath towels so we had 3 for the entire 3 nights we were there! Very unhappy and won’t be staying here again

I picked the room based on pics on hotels.com which showed a well lit updated room with a bathroom that had vanity space. That was not the room i got. It had the same amount of beds with kitchen but only update was flooring, appliances were rusty, bathroom was horrible, just an old sink, moldy looking tub. Room was extremely dark with only two very small lamps for lighting. Balcony door did not work well, wouldn't close completely so left a gap that bugs could come in, thankfully did not see any though. Shower had no pressure. Location, grounds, staff were all good just need to finish updating rooms, room was too expensive for so much to be so rundown

The overall condition of the room I stayed in was beyond disgusting. Large visible, rusty streak in the bathtub, door to the balcony, didn’t sit right on the hinges (it let air in and you couldn’t actually open it), the AC unit was non-functional because someone had ripped the socket out of the wall (copper and all), and it just didn’t feel clean.

The Windsurfer is always my go-to whenever I visit Myrtle Beach. Great, clean rooms, helpful, friendly staff, an excellent location, and affordable prices are why it stands above the rest.

Staff nice, but let’s talk about the room.. outdated for sure. Kitchen fridge missing parts, rust throughout on walls. Living room needed to cover the chair with blanket in order to feel semi clean. Smelled very stale throughout. The bathroom, toilet ran all day long and had to turn the valve to silence it and on to flush. The toilet was so low to the ground . There is no blow dryer in the room or accommodations for coffee and no rolls of paper towels. I opened a towel and it was as dirty as if someone already had used it. I made sure the bedding came off and the towels and blanket were going to be clean for the next person..can never trust. This is a convenient place to stay not to hang out all day long in. No bells or whistles!

The front desk guy was very helpful and made sure we had a great time, would definitely go again. The only thing that I would say wasn’t the best was the pool it definitely needs a good clean but it’s also off season so it made sense but the hot tub was amazing and clean!

One of the dirtiest places we have ever stayed at. If it weren’t for the waterfront and boardwalk view, this place would have no customers. The suite was dirty and simply filthy, especially in the kitchen area. Fridge looked like it has never been cleaned. Heater didn’t really work. Facilities were in disrepair and dilapidation - the pool and hot tub area were so dirty and not looked after that we didn’t even want to go in. The hotel photos are very deceptive. They do not even provide Kleenex tissues. Not sure where all the travelers who left positive reviews stayed at, but it was definitely not at this hotel or our room. The view was fantastic though, with a quick and easy access to boardwalk. That was about the only positive part of our stay.

We’ve stayed here many times over the years. Very nice people, very affordable rates, centrally located, no frills, great elevator and ice machine. Hot tub and pool. We like to spend our money on our experience, not a fancy hotel, but the suite was just fine, perfectly acceptable.

Can’t use the bath tub for the same reason. Water is leaking. Sliding door going to the balcony has broken locks, and they just put a piece of wood to make sure it can’t be open from the outside. The only good thing is Front desk person is polite and parking lot has enough space.

Room/Amenities: This property is very unkept! The pool, walk ways, elevator are all grimmy. The room: brooken tiles, stained towels, stained furniture, stained tubs, brooken mirrors, dirty un mopped floors, no lock on slidding door, no door latch for entry door security, lamp and phone do not work. Staff: came in my room unauthorized, apologized and saud wrong room, no ice machines on floors, over heard cleaning crew outside my room stating how they only make up the beds and strainten up the rest of the room. Yes, it shows. Never coming back, very unsanitary conditions.

My husband and I stayed for one night and we had a lovely experience. The property is located right on the beach and the views were stunning from our balcony. The staff was friendly and checked up in right away. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The area was wonderful and there were a lot of food options nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Staff & Location is always my reason of choice. The rooms are nice & comfortable. Upgrades are needed and some detailed cleaning but otherwise, no complaints.

I'll start with the staff was excellent and very nice! Our balcony view was great and the bed was alright. I paid $60 a night and that being said you get what you pay for on the beach. The room itself was OK. It's in desperate need of a good DEEP clean. The whole room definitely needs some good maintenance too. Our toilet ran nonstop along with the shower dripping, both with bad rust stains. Furniture had "sticky" dust everywhere with hair stuck to it. A chair that had so many questionable stains it would do the room justice to go in the trash. The lock on the balcony was broken but we had pieces of wood to hold it close. Found a baby bottle under the bed. All stuff like that. All things that could easily be fixed and make it so much better! It wasn't bad enough we wanted to leave and had a good laugh about it. The bed was clean and I couldn't argue with the price.

Great ocean view. Beds were hatd and uncomfortable. Bathroom wasnt as clean as i feel it should have been. Pool was ok but the hit tub needed cleaning. It was brown. Beach access was nice. Parking around the facility was limited and tight. Only one elevator so plan on waiting. Staff was extremely friendly. In my opinion its a 3.5 star hotel.

When we arrived, the room was incredibly dirty, there was substances on furniture, hair and what seemed like skin texture in the bed crease hair and the bathtub, what looked like blood on one of the cabinets when we brought back to the attention of the staff, they basically told us we could leave or just deal with it, we asked for cleaning supplies they never provided them we had to buy our own cleaning supplies to fix the situation as we were stuck and had nowhere else to go. The staff was rude unhelpful the next day my daughter went into the pool and came out with an incredible rash that is still not completely. We definitely will never go back to this motel. We have never been treated this badly and never have seen a dirtier room. It was a nightmare.

Kings size bed mattress was like sleeping on a wooden board. Woke up every 30 minutes barely could sleep because back hurt. Everything else was good.

we had to change rooms due to sink stopping up and moved to another room and the tub was stopped up there too. The place is very dated and does not show this on line. Taking a shower with water up to your ankles is disgusting. At least we should get a partial refund .The tub/commode was rusty and the mirror was broken. Worst hotel I have rented at MB.

I chose to leave and asked for a refund for the rest of the week, though I lost out on the first night’s rate. I wasn’t the only one with this experience—two of my friends checked in after me and had rooms in similar condition. This property needs serious attention and a fresh start.

We love the location, however all the loud nighttime traffic with the LOUD music and loud motorcycles etc. is very annoying when you’re trying to sleep. The staff were nice but I had to re-clean the room when we got there and it’s in BAD need of remodeling.

Bed Bugs and Roaches

Room was decent. Nice and clean beds were clean no bugs in room stayed for 3 nights on the 6th floor. Balcony beside the bed looks right at the ocean . Air conditioner was great set it on 60 temps outside high 81 low 67 . Front desk workers was very polite and helpful . Parking was very limited but they had extra across the street and I felt the area was safe. I will definitely like to come back in future. Pool was warm hot tub little rundown but was hot and jets working.

The hotel needs an update, the elevator was so sketchy we refused to use it, as we tried upon arrival and the doors got stuck. The reviews talked about an indoor pool, and there wasn’t one. The rooms were moldy and big roaches dead in the light and bathroom. Overall, we made it work for our last minute trip, bc we couldn’t get a refund.

The only thing we didn’t like was the pool being ice cold.

I was very disappointed. I got a ocean front room to actually see the ocean. It was ocean front but on the 2nd floor where they're palm trees blocking your entire view. They would not move me. Also it smelled like sewer gas in the room/ bathroom half the time. It could've been alot better.

Stay was great! Room was in good condition, for the price, some of the items in the room should have been updated/replaced because of rust from the saltwater I guess. But over all, I enjoyed my stay.

The bad- the hotel is in dire need of a makeover, from the missing lit letters on the outside sign, to the condition of the furniture in the room. The pool appeared dirty. The Ugly- the hotels across the street that are being demolished. Overall, a 3 but if you can overlook a few things, the price is extremely fair.

The view was great. The ckeanluness was less than average. Had few palmetto bugs in our room, found old trash, candy & underwear under chair cushion. Could use deep cleaning. The staff was excellent, cleaning staff was nice & friendly.

Room has mold growing up the walls behind the couch. Kitchen lights did not work. Left after finding the mold. Front desk was very good about the refund as I would not stay in the hotel.

When we checked in first room was absolutely disgusting, from desk wanted to argue, moved to second room a little better but balcony was covered in carpet with the a/c leaking on it the entire stay so no one could go in balcony without shoes, shopping wet. The pool was really greasy and also watched pool boy not clean it but halfway do the job. Pictures was deceiving. The only positive experience we had was the Jamaican lady at the front desk was nice and our housekeeper. The view from our room would be amazing if we could have sit on balcony. Wanted to give excuses instead of fixing the problem but seems this place has been going downhill for a while.

Other than having to change rooms cause the AC was broken on night 1 then having to switch back to our original room for night 2 and having to keep packing and moving stuff we had a good time.

Bathtub had mildew. The bathroom door handle was busted, barely hanging on. The whole room looked like it had water damage. The bathroom light switch didn't have a cover and if was rusty. Beds were clean. Everything else was gross. Only stayed because it was easy to get my kids to the beach.

The lady cleaning our room daily was absolutely fantastic. The place itself could use a bit of fixing up. The back sliding door to my room had the lock broken off so it was just latched to the wall with a hole in it still. The front desk had a sign on the door for married couples and families only, which I did not like, but did not get treated poorly either

The view of ocean from balcony was absolutely beautiful! Location was quiet. In my room the bathroom toilet constantly ran during entire stay. just a little noisy. Living area Chair and inside of the sofa needs to be cleaned or replaced. Beds were comfortable. Not much space at bedroom doorway to kitchen area; because of length of bed covered most of doorway opening. Cleanliness overall was okay. Property elevator to rooms is a very slow operation. Checked in and the lady at the desk acted like she really didn't want to be there. Get up to the room and was looking around, I turned on the light in the bathroom and roaches was crawling like the paid for the room. It was a spray bottle top left on the kitchen counter. The kitchen sink looked like someone had took a bath in it. We go right back the office and tell the clerk what was going on and she didn't act surprised at all. The staff are so rude. My uncle paid with card and someone stole his card and he had to get a new one. We showed them the id and they were so rude. They could’ve said it in a nice way but they told us we couldn’t stay that they didn’t care. I have never met any rude staff until that day. I was in tears because we traveled all that way and they didn’t even try to help.

We stayed in June and again in July. Only issue was a very rude housekeeper. Had July been the first stay we might not have went back. Definitely had a better experience in June.

The room was nice, the murphy bed needed a deep clean on the platform, the mattress and sheets were clean just the platform and inside the wall part could use a deep clean. the floors need deep cleaning also, and it would be nice since right on beach to have a broom and dust pan in the room to be able to sweep up the sand while staying there. the elevator was sketchy, door sounded horrible when opening and closing. we didn't swim in pool, the hot tub or jacuzzi had brown rust spots I assume, we didn't use that either. The hose/shower to clean off coming back from beach was just a hose with a nozzle, the shower part did not work. I was worried about the parking but they do have more parking across the street. When we first checked in there was a puddle of water by the AC unit, told the front desk and they came and wiped it up and said a ticket would be put in. Saw the maintenance guy the next day and he knew nothing of it, but the puddle never returned. We didn't have dish soap in room to clean dishes, after 2nd day housekeeping asked if we needed some. The microwave was rusty on the inside and the door was cracked a little. Not the best hotel but it was bearable.

I enjoyed my stay. Pool was nice and the hot tub worked but was small. Quick walk to the beach. Pier was next door. 15 minute walk to all Ripleys stuff and arcade 10 min walk to the amusement park. The room had new flooring which was nice but there were some things that could be updated and fixed. Water pressure was not the best. For the few discomforts the staff made up for it. They were so friendly and helpful and greeted you every time they saw you. I like to spend 3 weeks at a time at the beach and this place is perfect for me at least. Price is so affordable to be able to do that. I’ll be back.

Absolutely disgusting!

The pictures on the website are very deceptive. The stove & microwave were rusted out, the bathroom door handle was falling off & would not close not to mention the door panel was ripped off we could not completely close the door. There was a hole in the wall. There were substances dripping down the walls & the air conditioner could not be adjusted it was hot in the room during the day & cold at night. There was only 2 luggage carts for the entire hotel people were lined up trying to get their luggage to their rooms. It was not what I paid for & I will never go back again.

The staffs are very polite friendly and professional. However some of the staff in the room are old, for example the gust bed in our room was old and not looking good as well. They should periodically inspect their rooms to improve gust satisfaction. The ocean view of the room is excellent!

I like the Ocean view, Staff, and how close it was to all the attractions but my root didn’t seem like it was properly cleaned the bed skirts had stains and some of the appliances were broke in the room.

Would never stay again, roaches. When I went to the front desk the receptionist was so rude and nonchalant, blank stares. I could tell they were aware of the problem. Sliding door had a towel in it instead of actual handle. Unsafe and unsanitary.

The place was filthy and smelly because of the smokers that previously stayed. The bathrooms were filled with mold and mildew in the bathtub. The mirrors were filled with mold. overall overall was hideous.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Windsurfer. It is a bit of an older building but I would definitely stay again. It was very convenient to everything and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was also a good price and it offered a kitchen dining area living room and we had two queen size beds as well as a Murphy bed in the living room. It's definitely my choice of places to stay.

Overall the property is kept clean, grounds well maintained. Not sure exactly why but my room was changed from what I originally booked, but still wasn’t a BAD experience. Staff was VERY friendly and accommodating.

I liked the location but my ocean view room rm 401 was horrible. Floor AC where the beds were we had to get up 3 times a night to empty the water from under it in order to have cool air. Also,their was a leak in the ceiling above the bed cloest to the room door which soaked the blankets on that side of the bed. The ceiling light/fan was falling out of the ceiling and they did fix that. Recommend the room for view but that's it.

First thing is that we Kept having to go get new key cards about 50 in total for 1 weeks stay. Because the door lock was messed up. Part of the stove didn’t work. Kitchen sink was loose so water went underneath when you washed dishes. The sliding door to the balcony didn’t lock. And on my last night I had a bucket of water poured on me at the pool from Someone who was on their balcony. Cockroaches. And one outlet by the bed had no cover on it.

Booked 2 rooms for family with grandkids. Both rooms had mold . And bed bugs absolutely disgusting rooms would not even rate this hotel A1 nothing like the pictures for your health safety. I would not stay there and I am not the type of person to leave this kind of review.

I love the ocean view room my husband and I stayed in. Upon our arrival we were greeted by fireworks from the boardwalk. It was a lovely sight to see especially over the ocean. The beds were super soft and fluffy which made for a good night sleep. It was well worth every dollar. Oh we also loved the pool and jacuzzi. The only downfall is having only one elevator for the entire hotel.checkout was a lil frustrating getting back down.

When we got there an to our room it was so dusty a dirty we had to go get cleaning supplies a clean it. The bathroom sink had so much hair in drains it was disgusting. Only good thing was we was close to pier where they let off the July 4th fireworks an a place to lay our head but I will not stay there again!

Overall we had a wonderful vacation. Although the room could have been cleaner and the entire hotel could definitely use an update, the beds slept comfortably and the ocean front view was absolutely beautiful. The staff was amazing and check in and check out were seamless.

The Windsurfer was a mixed bag of an experience. The staff was great! They were very friendly and helpful, and did their best to fix the problems with the suite. However, the suite was... Not good. Black moldy stuff on the shower ceiling and couch cushions, the chair in the living room looked like someone had left a skid mark on it, the fridge was dirty, the toilet was cockeyed, and the list goes on. Also, the pool area was lacking as the hot tub had what looked like algae on the bottom and one of the ladders in the indoor pool wasn't fastened to the wall at the bottom and had a loose step. Only one ice machine on the property and it was in the office with a scoop (like a restaurant would have). Parking was a complete joke as the lot in front of the building was tiny with no turn around spots and the gravel lot across the street was also too small. The staff deserve five stars, but the building itself is a one star at best. My family and I won't be returning.

It was very dirty, only the view was ok

We stayed 3 night in the 3-story building. The location is great—very close to the beach and everything. The building is a bit old and could use some updates. the sheets had some stains, and there was trash under the bed that should’ve been cleaned, just realized this on the last day. Luckily, we were out most of the time and just needed the room to shower and sleep. The staff was very friendly. Not sure how the other building is, but hopefully it’s in better shape.

Staff and location were great. Room was very run down, door to bathroom and balcony did not open and close. Entry door did not close all the way. With a little maintenance, could be a great property.

Wish it was a lot cleaner for how much money I paid… room I was in doors was broke .. had mold … and bugs … hasn’t been updated in 25 years it seems …

Found several brown spots on the bed, and noticed I started getting bit, so I slept on top of the cover. It desperately needs anti slip tape in the bathtub, I slipped twice, workers stated that they told the owners this, but was too cheap to buy anything, maid had the mouth of a sailor while cleaning rooms while she was on the phone and did not care who heard her and the ac unit sounded like a freight train, I think I got 2 hours sleep the first night

However, the room could use a good cleaning - dirt in the corners, the exhaust fan in the bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned, and the lamp shades were gross. The carpet on the balcony was soaking wet at all times. The neighborhood was a little dicey at night. If you get the suite, there's a kitchen but no pots and pans to cook anything with - just basic dishes (which was nice) but whats the point of having an oven if you can't use it? Overall, if you're looking for direct beach access and a comfy bed for an affordable price, The Windsurfer will do just fine.

The Hotel was dirty. the fan in the bathroom was caked with grime. The tub was a stained yellow. So glad to get out of this hotel. We only needed it one night and it was a last minute reservation. The best part of this hotel is the front desk staff. they were friendly, professional, and helpful. The door would NOT open due to condensation causing the door to stick. Luckily, my friend could open it but I could not. Very inconvenient. Probably will not choose this place again...just being honest.

Customer service was excellent and very helpful. The view was absolutely beautiful. It's wonderful to sit out on the balcony and stare out at the ocean especially at night and in the morning when it's peaceful. The room was clean & spacious. The bathroom needed to be alittle cleaner though. The balcony carpet was soaked from the air conditioning.That needs some help but, overall, it's a wonderful location and worth it. We had a great time and the staff was wonderful. 😁

outdated and not a hotel but motel.?Place was dirty, sheets stained, doors stuck, paint peeling, but worse was dead bugs! The photos onsite is not the room we received! We were afraid to sleep at night! The area has multiple boarded up/vacant buildings.

The Windsurfer is an older property, but well maintained. The front desk staff was very friendly. Lots of green space for our service dog.

The staff was amazing. The room was clean and smelled good but almost fell several times because the floor had not dried from being mopped it take hours to dry . The front desk staff was notified and gave us towels to try to dry it some . Housekeeping needs to do a better job of making sure floor is dried properly before leaving. Someone could've been seriously hurt.

The room is very outdated. Air-conditioning worked but ready to fall out. Balcony door took 2 people to close. Light fixture ready to fall microwave very dirty. Room was dirty in the bathroom. Could hear everyones water running could hear all noises from outside comming through the roof. I could go on but I will sum it up by saying I am probably going to cancel Hotel.com for eveng puting this hotel on my list.

This place is right at the end of the board walk. I love the boardwalk at Mytle beach. All rooms have mini kitchen and all are ocean front. Several parking lots and no fee for parking.

I loved how friendly the staff were!! They really made my stay comfortable and accommodating. The room wasn't as clean as I would have liked and the property is quite old and could use some renovations. Overall, you get what you pay for but the view was truly amazing 😍

Our room, especially the bathroom was horribly out dated and dirty. The bathroom molding had black mold growing on it and the bath tub shielding was chipping away. We checked out early and was advised by the front desk to request a refund from Expedia because that’s who we booked thru. When Expedia contacted the hotel, they claimed to have no records of us leaving early. Stay away from this place!

The only great thing about this hotel is the view from the balcony and how close you are to the beach. You get what you pay for though, rooms are not thoroughly cleaned and there is water leaking from the rooms above.

My room had bedbugs, when I called the front desk he seemed like he knew and didn’t care. They switched my room to the 8th floor the room had all white furniture that looked like they never wiped anything down and after checking the beds we found no live bugs but found the bodies of dead ones. I checked out and they refunded me for my remaining stay, I’m still fighting to get the first night back.

The rate was really good for the location. However, it looked like the room I got was recently renovated. This wouldn’t be a problem except that someone forgot to put the covers back on the light fixtures.

This place has 3 things going for it: nice staff, location, and price. If this is all that matters to you, you are good. Other than that I will say is: this is one of the dirtiest, most disgusting rooms I have had the misfortune of staying in. And I am not talking about a spot here or there that was missed by the housekeeping person. No, what this room shows is a systematic neglect of overall cleanliness that obviously has been happening for a long time. I am talking about layers of dust, dirt, and who knows what else everywhere. Behind the headboards, under the bed, in all corners of room, bathroom kitchenette. Stains on the floor, on the table. I made the mistake of looking under the bed. Absolutely filthy. There was some little item there from a previous guest. Here's a thought: if a hotel is going to have linoleum floors instead of carpets, know that when you skip cleaning it, it will show. Oh, and the glass sliding door was almost impossible to move open or closed. Whatever little wheels it used to have, they disintegrated long ago. It was just metal on metal on the tracks. The bed legit felt like a hammock, it was so caved in. But again...staff was nice, price great, and location fantastic. So it's up to the guest to decide what matters most to therm.

The only place I will stay in Myrtle Beach. The location and price can't be beat, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. Had a problem with the AC in my room and it was solved quickly and efficiently.

The view was amazing, close to the sky wheel, shopping, food. Great location. The first room they gave us we couldn't see the ocean it was the 2nd floor. The staff was amazing and moved us to the 7th floor

Room was very outdated. Bathtub paint was chipped, found a roach as soon as we arrived and the kitchen area had lots of rust on it.

The view was terrific. Location was good. Staff was friendly. However the room was dirty. The sheets seemed clean and no bugs. The floor was laminate and it needed cleaned. There was a broom so I was able to sweep it myself but it didn’t look like anyone cleaned it before we got there. Candy on the floor and socks got filthy. The small stove was also dirty. Food crumbs all in the burners. Bathroom counter was gritty and dirty. I took Clorox wipes with me and wiped everything down. Bathtub and toilet had hairs on them. I knew it would be outdated because it was a really great price for the view. If I didn’t have to clean it when I got there I would have given it 4 stars. Parking was ok, they have space across the road for additional parking. This part of Myrtle Beach is really run down, hotels closed across the street and some homeless people walking around. I will most likely go back to North Myrtle next time.

Horrible hotel!!! This is not a hotel, but a stable!!!! Pass it on the tenth road!! This is the most horrible room I have ever seen!! Dust and dirt everywhere, the mold in the bathroom is terrible and very old!!!!!! Although the staff is very friendly!!! The hotel needs renovation!!!

Nasty room

Stayed in 806 was very clean and they gave me fresh towels daily unexpected. The two ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Pool closed early due to a storm that was the only hiccup in our trip

Hotel is located along Boardwalk & Beach front area. Lots of popular eateries. An attractions nearby out front.

The two ladies at the front desk were super friendly, made everything quick and easy. The view from our room was so beautiful and relaxing (we had an ocean view) the palm trees made it feel like I was on an island. Lol. It’s family oriented the kids had a great time, we will definitely be booking with them again.

This was not bad of a stay. Front desk was very friendly and greeted us like family. Only con was the pull out bed needs a new mattress and please be careful of the hot water, it gets real hot. All and all great location in all directions, we were able to walk to most locations. Will be back here in 3 weeks... Definitely recommend

Booked two oceanfront rooms. It was the worst I’ve seen. My kids started breaking into rashes. Just the worst hotel I’ve ever booked. Got there after 9pm went to room and right away I booked an Airbnb 25 minutes away to get the kids out.

My favorite place to stay while at the beach. Clean rooms, affordable price, great location, and an awesome hot tub. Best value on the beach, with a very friendly and helpful staff.

First this is not a hotel it's a motel. Their location to the beach is excellent. No water pressure. No hot water. The smoke detector was on the closet shelf. 24" TV. Water draining sound in walls every 10 minutes. Outdated furniture.

The hotel is safe to stay at and is right on the ocean but its very out dated and is need of a update and up keep. The place is dirty. You dont see anyone going around and picking up or cleaning. Checking in the staff is friendly and polite. The room is ok other than bedding stained shower curtian abiut falling down. And most of all the sliding glass doors to the balcony barely worked. Definitely had to use a little extra muscle to open and close it. The pool was open so we went to the pool and found garbage and cigarette butts all around the pool area and even some in the pool. Like i said the place needs some attention but otherwise we enjoyed mrytle beach and the hotel wasnt crazy expensive so as some would say you get what you pay for.

The hotel is very outdated. The clean it and forget it. The mattress was awful. Let me say this again. They were horrible. Spend the extra bucks for a better night rest. Also if the bed was not enough. The lights did not work!! They came and replaced multiple lights during my 1 night stay. By the time I left they were already barely working again clearly more than a bulb is the issue.

It was so noisy you could hear people screaming 2 rooms over.

It is centrally located to most attractions, beach, etc. It was remarkably quiet and relaxing. It served the purpose.

Nice spacious room 2 queen beds, kitchen, separate room with a Murphy bed, bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. No complaints friendly staff. Parking is limited and they have 2 lots across the street. Great Ocean view.

This property is inexpensive and convenient, but it is old and you can tell. The paint is peeling in the rooms, the furniture is rough and banged up, the beds/bedding are very used as well. The hot tub is not very clean and the fumes coming off of it smell like you are in liquid bleach. We saw cockroaches in our room on each stay we have had here. They charge an additional property fee in addition to the per night cost, so I would suggest spending a little extra money and going for a nicer place. Many hotels and homes in the area of this one are boarded up. We did not have safety concerns while here. I was concerned about that especially considering our room door did not have a latch on the inside of the main door and the sliding door to the patio did not latch well.

Hotel had a great veiw. First room toliet did not work and we were moved very quickly to a new room with no issues. Front staff was amazing and kind, there was a howl through the door as I dont think it the door shut veiw very tight so did get a little chilly in the bedrrom area at night as we had a separate living room. Bath tub wall was cracked but still worked well. Overall happy with our stay.

It was a nice hotel right on the beach. Good views of the ocean and sunrise. Fairly clean and friendly. Parking was a bit tight. Toilet was leaky but nothing major. Microwave handle was broke but it wasn't a deal breaker or ruin the stay. Pool/hot tub were nice. All in all, decent hotel on the beach foe a decent price. Would recommend

The room had black mold on the ceiling, chipped Paint, a dirty tub, and roaches in the kitchen, I was scared to turn the lights off because I didn't know what was going to grab me while I was sleeping. The portable AC smelled like eggs when turned on. The box spring cover and floor were filthy, and the Murphy bed was raggedy. The springs were broken and sticking out. The room was a fire hazard with broken outlet covers and missing smoke alarms. The pool was dirty. The ceiling fan had dust flying when turned on. The only nice thing was the view.

It was clean, great service, ocean view sliding doors old and hard to operate. Shower, tub and shower head need updating, old, rusty and hard to operate.

But the room was not fully clean and the hot tub floor was gritty.

Rude as hell and wouldn’t let us check in for no reason at all. We had paid for three days and they haven’t refunded us either.

I had an appointment through Expedia to use pet friendly locations. I arrived at Windsurfer in early evening. The lady in charge asked to show me how to get to my room. She spotted my dog in my vehicle and stated she could not let me stay. It was late in the day and I would have no place to stay that evening. Later she apologied. I noted many other dogs at Windsurfer while going back and forth from my room.

Awdul. It was horrible. The old kady at thebfront desk was a tyrrant. She will have you kicked out if she doesn’t like you. She messed up my reservations and then acted like she didn’t have a clue. Don’t go to this hotel. Plus, it’s surrounded by old, run down and rotting buildings. The area is not safe.

First walking in the room overall looked alright, minor cosmetic wall damages but went to lock my door and it wouldn’t lock. I had to open the door to get the lock started before it would actually lock. Then went to turn on my tv and there was a line through the tv like it was damaged, second night the screen wouldn’t even turn on but could hear the tv. I went to lay down and the headboard fell off the wall onto me, looks like it had been broken and just been propped back up.

It was the best and pocket friendly inn in MB for sure. I love the staff, they were quite friendly. The pool was a topnotch - aside from the fact, that I was only one using it from the evening til late morning the next day. Over-all its a great inn to stay. I will be back for sure.

Old budget motel right on the boardwalk. Great view. Patio door was very hard to open. Closet door fell off when we opened it. Room very run down looking. They were doing work in the room next door so we got to listen to sawing and hammering all day. Vending machine is out of order and product in it expired in 2023. Hardly any parking.

The staff was nice, pleasant, happy, respectful, and accommodating. Only thing that was a disappointment was that the room wasn't how they looked and advertised on the google and the website.

The room a/c was spiting out a mist which got on the click lock floor and made it slippery, every thing was old and need updated and the tub was peeling where they painted it and cold faucet about to fall off

The rooms that are advertised online when you book are not what you get when you are there. The only thing that was the same as in the pictures was the floor in the room. The housekeeping staff were excellent!! They were very friendly and they were very good to us. The woman who works in the laundry was the nicest sweetest lady, and so was our housekeeper who gave us fresh towels and toiletries daily. The toilets did not have lids. the beds were very uncomfortable. like i said the room was not what was advertised

room looked amazing until some of the lites phone electricil outlets , nothing worked microwave had to be reset from the fuse box. bathroom had dirty washclothes hanging on the shower curtin. the floor was awesome and the beds . the best part of this trip that kept me from being pissed was the view.. VIEW WAS FABULOUS..
