We had a wonderful experience at this hotel during our stay from June 11–13. The owner was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He even upgraded our room at no extra charge, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. We truly appreciated the excellent customer service and hospitality. We will definitely be booking here again this summer we recommend it to anyone looking for a great stay at an affordable price.

Very close to the beach 500ft First room was dirty but the manager did a exceptional job getting us a different room that was very clean and he took care of us and made sure we were comfortable. He also yelled at his house keepers for the bad cleaning he is a very good manager that just took over the building with his wife the property is 65 years old very old so they are trying to turn it around and they are, are stay there they had started painting the doors and fixing small things they are trying so hard to turn it around.

The hotel was right across the street from the beach and many restaurants so it was a perfect location.

The sink faucet was already dripping when we arrived. The next morning, my mother went to brush her teeth and when she tried to turn the water off, the faucet would not stop running. We checked underneath the sink and found the cold water valve simply spun while the hot water valve was stuck. We reported the problem to the front desk, and a maid came in and literally popped the sink handle off. To make matters worse, I checked my bank account and discovered they kept our security deposit. When I called, I was accused of using too much pressure and breaking their supposedly new faucet, despite the plumbing problems that clearly existed before we ever touched it. This property is old, poorly maintained, and far from what I expected.

Excellent place to stay when visiting the beach!

The please rinks of a mold smell of some sort . Might be the dampness in the rug I’m not sure but it smells awful. The blankets are way too thin . Like paper . For all the strict rules and the the fee’s like a cleaning fee . This place should have been $50 a night .

Additional parking wasn't clear. We got back to the hotel late and all of the spots around the hotel were booked. Had to find a staff that pointed out the other available lot, which was only visible coming one direction on that road

Was mislead from the beginning. They do allow pets with a 50$ a fee that is non refundable. They will knock on your door every 30 minutes to tell you about sometging your doing wrong. I was trying to u pack from my vehicle and got stopped about not having tag on mirror in car. Was on front seat. Yelled at for not having the sign on the dor with dog wrote in marker. I was not even done bringing stuff in from the car called again for noise complaint wasnt even are room. Called because dog was barking because of the flashing lights from the 6 cop cars and multiple cops (regular happing thing.

Sheets had burn holes the fridge, Rainer. Leaked water, the towelswere stained, and the washcloths were brown in the room smelled very bad. Add the room booked for 2 nights, It was only a block from the beach.

The ice machine doesn’t work but the day I was leaving learned you can go to the desk and they will provide it. The pool was very clean and cold. They did allow us to bring out our speaker and have a nice little pool party with my family. Will stay again

The room was a lot smaller than expected. The description said it was a double wide bed, but personally seemed like just a double bed. The fridge did not work and kept nothing cold, although it was plugged in. There was no shower curtain so water got everywhere with taking a shower which is crazy as a shower curtain is not expensive. The front desk person was nice but told us there was parking in the front, back, and side. When we went to park in the back, we got yelled at by 2 cleaning ladies who said we could not park there and so the side and front spots were all full. We had to ask another hotel next door if we could park in their spots for the night. A hotel should really have enough spaces for their own guests. The bed wasn't uncomfortable. The room reeked of smoke, as well as the bedsheets, but thankfully we brought our own. I do understand this is a cheap hotel so you will be expecting a cheap hotel service, but theres so many little things that they could do or fix that should be expected in a stay.

We only stayed for a couple hours bc we came a day early for our trip & the place we had booked was full for that night so we went here. The next morning staff was pretty rude (we checked in at like 3 - 4am) they are not pet friendly.

My tub was stopped up I had hair on my towels and they tried to keep $20 of my security deposit trying to say that there was a smell in the room and that I had to take out my own trash because it was too much trash but my trash was inside of the trash can which they provided

There was only four or five spots that you could actually watch your car from the parking to me is terrible on a side street with a lot of yelling and fighting going on pool was kind of yellowish color and they put the ice in the cake there was no ice machine, said out of service on it and the worst part the Cockroaches were at least an inch inch and a half long show them to the proprietor they acted like they didn't come from there and then to get my security deposit back she literally walked up to the room and when she was coming back my sister had fallen in the parking lot she's 75 years old and the owner or proprietor whatever you want to call her seen that happen and didn't even come over to see if we were all right I would not stay there again for $20 a night if you do check your luggage before you leave between the roaches and the flies it was bad I literally went to Walmart and bought for car air fresheners and put them in the air conditioning back because it smells so bad in the room. God bless anybody that goes there.

The location was very sketchy. I did not realize the area had gone down that bad. I was nervous going back and forth to my car and was worried about the car. If I had known the area was that bad I would have never stayed there and won't do it again.

Location was good Lady at front desk was rude and not helpful , pool not clean or open , sand and trash left in the hotel Room , tub was nasty , sat night was horrible , outside the other guest was loud and arguing , and upstairs jumping, loud music and arguing happened all night ! We also had to keep getting the room keys fixed as they kept not working and the lady said don’t put them in a wallet , or near a phone , or near anything metal Or electronic ?never had this issue anywhere else in my wallet , but the real funny part was I left them on the table inside the hotel walked out to my car had them in my hand the whole time and yet still did it ?, cracks in wall and u can lose a deposit over almost everything , also don’t move the chair or furniture even if they r crowded in and hanging half way out into the floor or u will also lose ur deposit , be sure to put ur broom back in the closet to and open ur curtains cause she gets mad if she has to do it and she will have u stand there as she inspects everything like ur in jail getting raided like a criminal

Conveniently located about a block from the beach, shopping and restaurants. Very dated and in need of extensive updates on furnishings. No filters in vents leading to outside, so insect activity was unavoidable even indoors. Followed checkout instructions and left the room clean and still haven’t gotten my deposits for the stay returned to me 3 weeks later…

Loud air conditioner, coffee pot didn't work, towels were rough, clothes left in room from previous customer.

I don't believe they offered a continental breakfast.. Staff seemed mistrusting at first but by our second night they lightened up ? Seems like they get burned by locals quite a bit so I can't really blame them.

bathroom was left with urine as soon as we opened the door , fridge wasn’t working , sheets had bed bugs , when leaving to go to the beach or store manager would lock our cards , couldn’t get our stuff cause staff said they’ll keep it n our deposit. had to call police for them to open our door yo get our stuff

Location was ok. The smell. I think changing the carpet would help. Upgrade to the beds would also justify the cost. Onsite parking was a disaster, having to park around the corner made it unsafe at night.

The location was perfect. The staff was very nice and when I told them about the issue I was having with trying to get into my room they got it fixed really fast.

There's no food options. There's a vending machine for drinks. The beds were hard which works for me. The entire place needs a decor update to get it out of the 1970's. I doubt there's Internet here.

Too expensive for the condition of the hotel. If you’re looking for a last minute place to stay it’s in a great location. A lot of foot traffic, saw two roaches and many people live in the hotel. But overall it was ok.

To his credit, the manager stayed past midnight because he knew I was on the way, and he was very helpful at showing me how to find the parking lot 100 yards away. But the place is a dump - recently painted over, but awful. Carpets needed replacing in the 1990s, hot water was barely above room temperature and the bar of soap was small enough for a doll house.

For a price of $400 it could’ve been a lot better. Last minute stay because everyone else was definitely booked. The room could have been a lot cleaner. Especially with towels, shower head and linens, (duvet) as well. Overall the stay was ok. They don’t do refunds so we had no choice but to stay considering the fact that we couldn’t book anywhere else. At least their pool was working.

I signed up for a 2 night stay. I was on the second floor. The room had a musty smell. Their was dust on all of the vents/fans. <--- and not a small amount. Stains all over the floors. And a whole nother bedroom in the back with a locked door to it, like tf. If you like taking cold showers, this is the place for you. No hot water. Anyways, i ended up staying one night. Left around 2 pm, dropped off my keys. Talked to the younger male employee running the front desk. He told me i was good to go and he'd cancel the second night. But he didnt, i just got charged another $100 to my account. So now im p'd off. If the motel is reading this, im demanding a refund for the second night and my downpayment.

We booked the facility because of the expedia rating. We drove to the facility and it looked like a slum and the parking looked unsafe. Didn't stay and went to the Hampton in a few blocks down the street.

Staff was pleasant. However, it is dirty. I just wanted a clean space to sleep &shower. This is not the place. Definitely not worth the price.

Only downside was the AC did not work well, I did see one single small roach in our room, and it could probably use a remodel. I would stay here again though.

Everyone seemed really nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I only had one complaint and that was the parking I did not like having to park so far away from my room. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and will probably stay again.

They charged a $50 dollar deposit I never got back two times I’ve stayed there. I even cleaned the room both times before checking out and I’m a non smoker. The outlets don’t work in the room and I had to plug the fridge up to the bathroom. There was a man drilling and working on the hotel my entire stay on and off and it was extremely loud.

The top of the car to the top of parking deck so it had been there a hot minute. And don't get me started on the staff members. But the movie Wrong Turn comes to mind. And you don't have to worry about bringing your own women with you, they have some there for you. If I could give this place less that zero stars I would.

The stay was okay, but the pool was closed my entire stay. When I checked out they kept my security deposit saying “I broke their toilet”, which is bs bc that toilet slid back and forth from the day I got there(you can tell from the scuff marks it’s been doing that for awhile.) On top of that they didn’t like how messy the room was when I checked out- mind you they don’t offer housekeeping during your stay, and I stayed 2 almost 3 weeks. So the room had normal wear and tear. I own up to the spill on the bed though, but other than that I left it in the same condition I found it in besides for the carpet needing to be vacuumed and other cleaning duties.

Motel is older but was clean and staff was friendly. Would stay again. Just wish other guests would show some consideration when smoking.

We checked in and went to the room. As soon as we walked into the door the smell was bad. The carpet was very dirty looking the tub was stained black. The towels and wash rags were a dirty white. The kitchen stove had foil around the burners that looked like it had been there for years. The fridge was very old like from the 50s. We Immediately went back down to the lady at the front desk and told her we was not going to stay. I wouldn’t recommend this place. It need’s to be shut down.

I requested a non-smoking room on the second floor. There were other non-smoking rooms around me. However, the other patrons would sit right outside our door and smoke cigarettes and sometimes marijuana 24/7. The smell in our room was constant and my dad suffers from asthma and I have a four year old daughter whom I don't want breathing in that poison. We asked the patrons to not smoke outside our door; they refused. We asked the people at the front desk and they refused to do anything about it. Also, the hotel does not allow pets but we found dog poop in the yard and heard a dog barking at 7am. The place was downright filthy and I'm extremely disappointed that the staff didn't do anything to ensure a healthy room for my family.

TERRIBLE!!! TOTAL SCAM!!! The room was not what is pictured. Lamps had to be plugged in to turn on and unplugged to turn off, a bed frame was broken, the refrigerator was in the middle of the kitchen and there were gnats all over. The door had graffiti on it, the walls had holes in them and the room looked like it was in desperate need of a deep cleaning from top to bottom. We immediately went back to ask for a refund since this was not the quality of room we thought we had booked and the owners were VERY rude and would not give us our money back. We lost $1,700 - DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

The bed smelled like dirty gym socks, the tv was broken, electrical hazards the whole way through the hotel, the carpet was dirty when we checked in, the fridge had mold in it. Just overall not a good time.

We stayed from Thursday-Sunday. We took our Roku Express and Remote and watched it Thursday night. We were there for my granddaughter's national basketball tournament, so we were out of the room ALL day on Friday. When we returned there were clean towels and wash cloths hanging in the bathroom, but the beds were not made and the trash was not emptied and to top it off our Roku remote was NO where to be found. We asked the front desk about the remote and we were told that NO ONE had went into the room. So, I'm guessing they have fairies that bring clean towels and wash cloths in the room every day, since NO ONE was in our room while we were out.

The water pressure was terrible and looked like the tub hadn’t been cleaned in a year. The air conditioner kept going off leaving us very uncomfortable and hot. One of the staff played in his phone the whole time. The pool looked like it hasn’t been cleaned. Staff wasn’t that polite either.

charged $20.00 a day for a motorcycle to park, even though I had a room, 2or 3 motorcycles can park in one parking spot.

Our stay was nice the front deck lady was one of the sweet person we have dealt with in a long time super friendly and sweet, she let us park our motorcycles (3) in front of the office in their space I will stay again close to everything

Check-in was easy and I was in my room in 5 minutes. When I got in my room I checked it out completely. I needed a ice bucket. I didn't have one. The refrigerator kept things very cold. In fact it froze everything I put in it. Ice cream was the best. I had Klondikes for four days. I also had a half gallon of ice cream to enjoy. It was clean and comfortable with some noise from the kids that stayed there during the weekend. All in all I enjoyed my stay at the Royal Palace Inn and Suites Motel. It wasn't very expensive but met my needs. Keep up the Good Work!

They charged me an extra $50 while checking in as a deposit. I was under the impression that i had already paid for everything. It was just a lot. Then they put me in a hole in the wall, tiny room.

The hotel was being renovated when we arrived and we actually got the first room that had been updated on the second floor on the corner. We had a beautiful view from the balcony and we also had a view of the pool. The room was clean but we still sprayed everything with lysol and wiped everything with lysol wipes to be safe. The toilet didn’t flush all the way unless u held the knob down until it finished and the sliding door to the balcony didn’t open but the hotel owner came up and fixed it in less than 5 minutes. Extremely affordable, quiet, and perfect location.

We were informed that additional parking was “behind building”, but when parking, police addressed us for being in a “NO Parking” zone… Royal Palace’s additional parking was/is across the street/adjacent the building, NOT directly behind building.

The property had bed bugs and roaches all over the place. I will never go back there and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to either.

Staff was preoccupied with phone and would not answer door for checkin. It was obvious the staffer would not pull herself away from the phone long enough to do her job. Sad!
