Property was decent but smoking was done in courts by guests and they threatened when I asked them to put it out but disappeared quickly there after

Everything was great ! If you want a poolside room, let them know when you book the room. And explain for them to hold the poolside room .... happy travels.

I was exhausted coming from early morning flights. A customer was ranting and raving about the poor condition her room was in. The staff member didn’t acknowledge me and allowed the customer to complain. The customer finally left after 5 minutes. I found it extremely rude not to acknowledge me. The room floor was sticky. The elevator smelled of rancid piss for a day. I didn’t have enough towels.

The 1st night a dog keep us awake half the night barking so we moved for 2nd night and tv didn’t work and they couldn’t get it to work so I wouldn’t recommend this place

Everything was good the room was very clean and nice bed. The location was perfect at a walking distance from the beach and restaurants. Recommend.

Parking was great staff was great the cockroach in our room running around not so good very bad the wall being all crumbly around the air conditioning with the rust around the windows probably not great. Tried to reach out to the property in corporate with no answer red roof, and simply doesn’t care that there was cockroaches in our room and I have videos of it. They simply don’t care so as long as you don’t mind some cockroaches the staff is friendly and the property is easily accessible. Just keep in mind you’ll have cockroaches in your bed.

Nothing The property was not clean had dogs everywhere and it smelt disgusting uncomfortable. The bathroom was not clean property. The showerhead had built up scum on it.

The lights above the bed were dirty. The outlets behind the nightstand were rusty and dirty. The stairwell was dated and dirty

Check in was easy. Location was super convenient just 5 minutes from the airport and 2 blocks from the beach. The hotel was surprisingly quiet for being so busy. As a solo traveler I appreciated that you need a key card to access the interior of the hotel itself. The building itself is in need of renovation, it’s very outdated and many pieces of walls need to be repaired. Despite this I’d stay here again.

Smoke like my roach spray looks old the rooms look like they ain’t been done in so long toilet was stopped up. They need to tear that place there.

This seems like a very old hotel. The bathroom showed a lot of wear and tear. If it were up to me if should be renovated. It was clean. Price was okay. The staff was very nice

It’s good for an overnight for early flight but due to some rude guest on my hall, I left for my 6 am flight at 3:30. They were so loud I figured airport would be better. The desk manager was awesome!

Floors could have been mop Room 130 before checking in. Living room television worked though each channel showed "no information". Maintenance came to Reboot etc. TV didn't come on at all. Through the non working TV. Front desk allowed guest to watch NFL DRAFT across from our room to another Room (121) for the evening. Afterwards Guest turn the key ? to front desk & thank "Heidi" for great customer service.

Room had a smell. The a/c wasn't very cold. The best thing about it was the location. Walls thin, heard argument between two males dropping the f word, plus doors slamming. Not very restful.

There were some downsides like some loose panels in the bathroom and one that had a rusty nail behind it. The water pressure is quite low and not very hot. Parking is solid. No issues there. Property is definitely a mixed bag.

No breakfast offered. The location was not bad. When I checked in I had to wait 10 min to get a room prepared to learn the room was dirty. The blanket had burn marks and the sheets were dirty. Could not get the television to catch a station. No WiFi. After returning to the desk to advise staff. I was given another room without question, although the second room floors appeared to have never been mopped. Again the television didn’t work. The bathroom sink leaked when used.

I like that the reception accommodated me and my family to a room that was sitting me with my disability with my leg Paint was coming off the ceiling in my room and some people were very loud in the hallways at night time and when some people would take their dogs out they would let their dog poop very close to the doors when people should clean up after their dogs like we did

It was pet friendly so that was a plus for us we enjoyed our stay it was only a 9 minute walk to the beach

Very old motel and humid order inside rooms. It is nearby the beach which is the only advantage.

I was appalled at check in one of the lady’s said room whatever needs whatever it was then said I don’t care just let them get mad and the other lady laughed. We were never greater we were waiting for the lady to finish what she was doing at her computer and a guy walks up and says ID that’s it nothing else. At first I didn’t realize he was speaking to us not I can help you ever here just ID several times. Not very impressed thankfully we were just there one night till we went to the other hotel.

I wound say this property is fine. I was only there for a few nights and to be honest the best thing was the price. Very affordable. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room itself was decent. A tad dusty but beds and shower were fine. For the price it was fine but nothing too fancy.

The room was absolutely disgusting, hair and pee stains on the toilet. A rag hanging on the shower curtain from the previous stay, toenail clippings on the floor and stains on stuff. Staff were nice but not personable. Its stunk throughout the building and was dirty in the halls. The outside of the building has dried up dog crap.

Bed - Sheets had stains on them. Room - A lot better when you went into the room. Hallways were gross and eerie. The elevator, the noise, the stains on the beds, and the rust in the shower.

A few things did not work, like the light above the headboard did not work, the wifi kept going down, so it was quite frustrating not being able to just watch youtube without the wifi going down. The office chair in our room broke (wheel kept popping off) while my husband was sitting in it. Also, the back door slams real loud which constantly startled our pup. Nothing that would keep us from returning.

I didn't know that i booked a room that have no microwave or refrigerator. I asked about changing to a room that had them in there i was told that it would be a $50 upcharge. So Isaid nevermind. Since they dont serve breakfast they do have free coffee downstairs. There was a microwave downstairs by the front desk that was broken. That was a big disappointment!😡

(I was checking out Sunday). They moved me to a 2nd room where the toilet worked but the bathroom was dirty and the sink did not drain properly. This hotel is in dire need of a total rehaul. Of course, there were also 2 separate arrest in the parking lot while I was there. Not sure if these were guests or simply vagrants hanging out doing drugs. Either way, walking outside alone at night in this area doesn't feel safe any longer. This isn't necessarily the hotels issue but speaks more to that area of Myrtle Beach. Very sad!

The room was spotless and everything was in its place. The only thing that I had any trouble with was there were some staff members on the third floor this morning and they were listening to their music so loudly that it could be heard through the door and over the television.

This particular Red Roof keeps their rooms clean and in good repair. But the lobby/entrance area and 1st floor elevator area can use some updating & refresh. There was a very noticeable cigarette smell in these particular areas.

We have stayed at this location many of times and never had any issues before. Well, Sunday when we checked out we had forgot some personal items in the drawers at the hotel. By Monday afternoon I had realized it and contacted the hotel and gave them my information for the to contact me once they found them. Well here is it Wednesday and the items are supposedly nowhere to be found. I got in contact with the manager (David) today letting him know we left them behind and where they were left. He said they haven’t been turned in for lost and found. Mind you, the personal belongings total towards $300 so definitely looking to get it back. The manager was not professional at all. I asked him what is his protocols and disciplinary actions for stealing because I know the items were left behind. Definitely not pleased with how the situation is being handled. I know it’s our fault for being forgetful but why have policy of keeping belongings for 30 days when the employees are stealing them anyways? Hopefully the items will magically appear and we will be able to retrieve them.

When my TV wasn't working the front desk (Heidi) went right up to try to fix it. When she couldn't she had my room switched to a room where it did work immediate. I was so grateful 😁

Good mattress and clean sheets, sink and tub were clean. Dirt all around the edge of the room, especially at head of bed. Base of bathroom door was worn off.

For a budget hotel, I felt I got what I paid for. Overall, a great stay - comfortable clean beds, friendly staff, and I felt safe. Now, the floors were a bit dirty, and I do agree with other reviews abour them not cleaning under the beds: there was quite a bit of trash under ours. HOWEVER, no bugs, overall besides the floors felt clean, no smell, great AC, and AMAZING location. We even had to stay an extra day due to unforeseen circumstances and the staff made booking another night incredibly easy.

There were three cockroaches in the room and the bath water wasn’t drained normally.

We ended up having to cancel this reservation due to the room being so dirty. It seemed that the first room they gave us wasn’t cleaned at all. They tried another room and it was almost as bad. The floors were full of human hair and dust and grime and the sheets were stained as well.

Receptionist was very friendly, great personality. Our stay was nice. The room and bathroom was very clean. Our only complaint was that the elevator smelled like cat piss, it was very wrank smell. I do understand this hotel allows for pets but maybe more routine cleaning should be done because of that.

We were able to check in early, front staff was very helpful. The room is s little dated bit clean and tidy. Jurassic Mini Golf is across the street and we plan on giving it a try. The beach is just a short trek away.

The day of my check-in medical examiners were walking someone-out in a body bag. That was super uncomfortable for me to enjoy my stay as I was unclear what happened I was alone so I didn’t feel the safest. However, the wonderful lady who checked me in was amazing and accommodating and checked me in two hours early and I was super grateful for her. I don’t remember her name.

When traveling with dogs options are limited but this place worked out great. There are walkable areas that worked for us and local driving too. Rooms were big. Daily cleaning and housekeeping could use a better approach. But overall it was good. Recommend to a friend with dogs.

The beds were dirty looked like puke down the mattress cover and side of bed. just needed a better cleaning. Needs updates on some things like the rusted outlets, chairs, and handles in the room. Overall the stay was good!

The room smelled horrible and there was some sort of black "stuff" on the ceiling. The floors were always wet with condensation. We had to move to another room which was much better but the floors were also wet. However, the staff was excellent and there were no service issues.

It’s a decent area to be in. Lots of food & shopping. But these rooms are in poor condition. Dirty carpets. The ceilings in room are all peeling. The toilet got clogged had to go downstairs to get a plunger. Limited toiletries.

The lady at the front desk was rude. I get that a housekeeper didn't show up and things were behind, explain that instead of complaining and lying to me. Handicap room was weird bed was pretty much on the floor but all other things at normal level.

Overall, our stay was just ok. The staff at the front desk were all very informed and welcoming which was appreciated. The room was clean and free of any pests, but it was not as clean as it could be. There was a ton of hair that didn’t belong to us underneath the bathroom sink, lots of dust behind the beds and it was also not vacuumed very well and I’m not even sure the beds were checked underneath because there was a few items probably left by previous guests underneath the bed. The floor also probably hadn’t been mopped in a while as my son spilled something on the floor and we went to wipe it up with an extra towel and the towel was extremely dirty afterwards. The room got extremely hot overnight despite the air being on and the hallways and elevator were also extremely hot, which made it a little uncomfortable to walk through the halls. None of that was a dealbreaker though, but the room 100% could have been cleaner. The location was very nice. We had a lot of great food options within a short drive or walk and we were also very close to the beach, which was very nice. The only reason we didn’t walk to the beach was the fact that it was over 100° most of our trip and we had a two-year-old with us. Not a bad place, just not the best.

The bathroom was leaking. The toilet didn’t work. The front desk staff is away and refused to switch the room and refused to fix it. Worst exeperience ever so far.

I did like the room, new smart tv was nice, AC unit wasnt loud, staff at front desk was nice and very helpful. The bad, 4th floor at 630pm was hot and kinda smelled like dog pee. Elevators were hot. Homeless guy hanging on the bench at the parking lot. Came back few hours later, hallway was cooler and didn't smell but my room kinda smelled like weed.

The floors were nasty and full of left over mop trash on the floor

The room itself was nice and spacious floor coming up in bathroom and renovations around the halls. . The elevator had stuff spilled all over the floor that made your feet stick if you used it and smelled of weed everywhere.

Bathroom sink and tub had hair in them.

$200 a night for a filthy room. Needs some major cleaning and upgrades. Would not recommend, especially with children.

The stay good for 1 night. I requested an accessible room. The shower seat was pulling away from the wall and was moldy. I only request an accessible room for extra handrails in the shower. There were very loud barking dogs in the room across the hall from us. I was awakened very early by the loud barking. We only stayed for one night but the hotel served its purpose the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I loved the security there and had a pool was dog friendly also

The room was generally clean and worth the lower price just for one night. The elevator was old and dirty. And the hallway carpet smelled of urine.

There was beer cans n dorty needles in the parkinglot and dirt lot both. Un safe for pets or children. Room had water running in walls all night. No hot water in sink. Barely any hot water or pressure in shower. Bed over slept in and needs replaced. Uncomfortable sleep.

Great location. Great staff. Dog freindly.

We lost power while I was there

This hotel was okay for what you pay. There was no mini fridge in the room & they didn’t offer a morning breakfast. I also ended up paying an additional $55 convenience fee that wasn’t stated beforehand. $5 of it was for some random safe that was in the bedroom. It was refunded quickly after the trip though. It was only a couple of blocks from the beach and staff was super friendly. Room was clean overall.

Only thing I had a problem with was hair on the floor and the bathroom light was going off and not coming on when you flip the switch

I rented a suite from this property on 6/27/25. The floor was beyond dirty as well as the stained sheets. All elevators but 1 were out of service, my family of 6 have to walk up and down 3 flights of stairs wherever we went. Management showed little care in regards to my problems. I paid $600 for 2 nights. Take your money else where and stay at the crown reef resort a block away. It would’ve only cost me an extra $100 to book that instead. Red roof in Myrtle beach commons SUCK!

Trip with my daughter for her Birthday. The lady at the desk changed our room,because I was going to find another hotel and this place. The first room looked like a cheap hourly room. No fridge, no microwave, toilet very low to floor. The floors were slippery as if oil was on them. Elevator was as hot as the outside was. How do you have a brand new elevator at one end of the hotel and very old one at the other end. The desk clerks didn't know anything about the city transportation. Bed were not comfortable. This was my first and last time using Red Roof Inn & Suites

Nothing exceptional, but it was a nice, clean room. A good economic choice, especially compared to many of the other hotels. Lots of dining options close by. Definitely would stay there again.

It was dirty and the pipes in the bathroom was leaking water the hole time. I had to clean the bathroom out with bleach the floors dirty. The bedding had stains on the and the towel had yellow stains on them.

The room smelled like BO and like a dog had been there. Floor was dirty. One Elevator was out of order

This property is close to the airport and the front desk attendant scheduled a cab for me the next morning. She was very helpful.

If you are in Myrtle Beach and stay in Red Roof just to spend the nights in there, it is alright, clean, quiet. Walking distance to the beach.

The floors of our room, carpet and hard floors were covered with sand!

Basic hotel for a 1 night stay. Clean and comfortable. Front desk person was pleasant and informative. All hotels are overpriced for what you get in Myrtle Beach in the summer
