I enjoyed the Carribean Resort in spite of the partial beach closure. I would suggest booking in the main building. The Jamaican rooms are a bit far from the amenitiels; however there is a pool there. The staff was helpful and friendly, but there were no tea set-up in the room and on the second and third days, I had to ask for coffee pods. The ocean view is wonderful.

Suppose there was a 20+ millon renovation. However, the elevators were not working properly. The frig in our room didn’t work, the Murphy bed was falling apart and was pealing off leather everywhere. The laundry room washers almost all were not working. The room just didn’t feel clean. Very disappointed this time.

I was really worried about booking here because of the mixed reviews. I was very impressed. We stayed in a 3 bed oceanfront condo in the Cayman building, 6th floor and it was great. I have no complaints whatsoever about the room. We had 8 of us and it was great and comfortable. The only thing it didn’t have was paper towels. The water amenities were great and the ocean/beach being so close was even better. We stayed 4 nights and wish we would’ve stayed longer. We had a blast with the DJ at the pool. I’d come back and stay here for sure.

There was so much to do between the beach and all the pools and the restaurant I didn’t spend near what I usually would taking my kids on vacation this year because it was all available there at the room. This was the best vacation I’ve had and it’s because of the hotel we stayed at no complaints.

the room was decently clean but i felt like i had to go and wipe things off myself. also the tub was clogged when we got there as well as the safe did not work so we had to call about those. maid service never came to change our sheets or anything other than to take trash and give us new towels and take old ones. maid service was backed up i suppose because on two different occasions i called to ask for more pillows and blankets and they never brought them. had to go to the front desk to get them ourselves. also when we were checking out, the elevators quit working. then they finally got one elevator working. overall not a terrible experience just lots of annoyances.

We stayed in a renovated 3 bedroom oceanfront condo. The condo was beautiful! We were so excited until we stepped out on the balcony to a view of construction (dreging) taking place next door. Unfortunately, the dreging took place throughout the entire week of our stay. It moved north of us, then south, then directly in front of our resort the last two days! What a bummer!!! Loud beeping from the construction trucks backing up constantly, kept us awake, even with fans running. Cons - It would be nice if the kitchen had potholders and a roll of starter paper towels. Also, we disliked having to check out a pool towel daily and return it by 11:00pm. Why not just place carts of pool towels around the water areas? We will not stay here again.

The kids pools and indoor lazy river was probably my favorite. It’s a non smoking facility yet the entire week our room was filled with the smell of weed and smoke from the people below us. We had babies in our room. We complained a few times and finally the 6 th day they did something. The hot tubs needed cleaned out a lot better. Some weren’t even hot my babies could be in them. The elevators took forever to come up and down.

Stay two nights two separate rooms. First room was on the fifth floor it was perfect. Second room was on the third floor it had not been remodeled and had german roaches. Staff was amazing and very helpful perfect location if you have kids or not.

Katie at the front desk was absolutely amazing. We arrived around 2:30pm and we were able to checkin early, and we also received a free upgrade. All of the staff I encountered and I mean ALL the staff were so pleasant and helpful. No matter where I was, if staff walked by, they greeted me. Customer service was top notch! The pool area was wonderful from lazy river, to indoor pool and the Tiki Bar. Loved the variety of things to do and the cocktails and food from the bar hit the spot. We both got bacon cheeseburgers and fries. We also had direct beach access with the option to rent chairs and umbrella. The rooms were spacious and modern. We were in the Deluxe 1 bedroom King Suite, Oceanfront. The bed was comfortable and loved seeing the plug options in the furniture. The kitchen size was perfect for us and had everything we needed. The bathroom was a decent size. I did like the door separating sink from shower and toilet. The livingroom/dining area was spacious with a wall pull out bed and couch pull out bed. Lots of space. the the balcony was a great size. I was able to see the sunrise and the view was beautiful. The elevators were really slow. You were waiting forever. The doors shut really fast and don't stop immediately if you put an arm out. My husband and I almost go stuck in the parking garage elevator the numbers werent lighting up and we pushed open and it would open. It di that for about 2 minutes and then we got out. We used the stairs most of the trip. Thankfully we were only on the 6th floor.

Beach front, decent priced, great spot for families Night 1 @11pm we realized not enough pillows or blankets were left for 5 people. Only the 4 pillows on the king bed. The bathroom had hair in spots that made me question if it was cleaned properly. Night 2 later in the evening my daughter got a piece of glass in her foot from the living area floor. Overall the pools weren't as clean as last year. They have water buildup that was not as bad in 2025. The room wasn't ready for 5 people all around only 4. So in comparison to last year's experience this year was a disappointment.

My family and I had an amazing stay at Caribbean Resorts & Villas in Myrtle Beach. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Elizabeth at the front desk was absolutely wonderful! She helped us upgrade to a villa, took the time to explain all of the resort amenities, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great vacation. The housekeeping staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive. The hotel was clean, well-maintained, and very welcoming throughout our stay. Everyone we encountered was kind and professional, which made our experience even better. Overall, we had a fantastic time and couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Thank you, Elizabeth, and the entire staff for making our trip so memorable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Caribbean Resorts & Villas to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach!

The staff was friendly and helpful. We liked the security team and felt safe. We liked the multiple poles and hot tubs. There were a couple issues in our room - a bad lamp cord and door latch was broken when we got there. Maintenance did take care of it quickly when we let them know. It was disappointing that one of the hot tubs was down and the slide in the kid's pool wasn't open. The water for the indoor pool wasn't warm the whole week.

The Chelsea two bedroom options are not in the hotel that you see online. It's a separate building across and diagnol from it. There's only a pool and hottub at that property. No vending or ice machines and no elevator. The room was nice and well equipped, however.

The resort is right at the beach which is nice. The hotel staff are friendly. We stayed in the Jamaican bldg which needs to be renovated. The beds were old and springy. My toilet didn't flush right. They had to replace the handle. I wouldn't recommend staying in the Jamaican bldg. The restaurant next door was really good. Also we had super loud neighbors that played their music until 2 am off their balcony.but only 1 night. Overall the view from our balcony of the ocean made up for it.

All the pools, and when my cable went out, a maintenance guy was quickly sent to our rescue and my husband was able to finish Oklahoma thunder and San Antonio Spurs game. The maintenance man was very polite, informative, dedicated, and determined to get both TVs to work, even though it took a while, and wasn’t that easy. I have stayed here for the last 3 years only difference is I stayed in the Chelsea villas and I was on the 3 rd floor. No elevators …..all stairs, for 2 days my ankles and legs swelled up from all the up and down even an in shape person was exhausted when reaching the top. If I was to stay in the Chelsea villas I would only take the first floor.

We traveled with my 75 year old mother and 10 month old grand child and we couldn’t use our balcony for people on there balconies smoking weed . Night and day if this hotel has a non smoking policy they sure don’t enforce it. It was so bad if you opened the balcony door it would over take your room.the elevators were the same way.

We were located in Chelsea Homes. Upon arrival after a 7 hour drive there were 3 bags of dirty laundry that was not taken out by house keeping. There was a dirty diaper on the balcony with poop in it. The sink was clogged and there was hair on “clean” towels. I have contacted guest services 3 times and they did not help in any kind of way. There was no accountability in this situation. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever.

This is our second year coming back and we absolutely love this place, the staff is always professional, accommodating and always nice and cheerful. Our only complaints and for us these are minor complaints, there were two solo cups that looked to have been spilled on the balcony that left a sticky red liquid behind, and the floors seemed to be a little dirty. Which it didn't bother us that much, there was a broom in the closet, did a quick sweep and warm water fixed the mess on the balcony, took me all of 10 min. But the rest of our stay was fantastic. Cleaning staff checked on us daily and were fantastic. No stay is ever perfect, or at least that's been my experience, But the staff at the Carribien resort strives for it. And that's why we will be back for again.

I really liked how close the hotel was to everything. Loved how the room was set up. Really appreciated how someone was there to help unload our luggage and take it to our room. I understand the no smoking rule but there are people smoking pot at the hotel because we could smell it about every time we went out on our balcony and the smell would get into our room even with the door shut. That’s one thing that needs to be addressed and enforced more because if the rule is that no one is to smoke on the balconies then that should apply to everything else too.

I liked the various pools, suitable for all ages. The rooms were clean and presentable. I liked the distance from the resort to restaurants, boardwalk etc. The room we stayed in - the bathroom sink had a hard time draining the water. On the first day of arrival the hot tubs were not warm/hot. We let staff know and they said they were attempting to adjust temperature but it never got hot. The hot tubs didn’t work until the next day. Also at the towel hut sometimes staff was there otherwise had to go to front desk for towels. The hours of the poolside bar/tiki hut are questionable? Not specific hours.

The staff was very sweet. I love them especially Miss Lee says she was so sweet. I was in room 331 and the housekeeper was so nice. I forgot her name loved her. She made sure we had clean towels and everything. The pools all housekeeping all groundskeeping was so sweet. It was very clean. I will be back

Oh boy- first off, our room was located in the basement of the Jamaica building (113) and it was very sketchy in the hall way. When we got to our room- it was hard to open the door because it turns out, someone had previously kicked the door open so the door frame was all messed up. There was glass in random spots of the floor that my husband kept stepping on (thank god it wasn’t my 8 year old child), and even more glass on the patio and pool area. When we told the front desk, they sent a cleaning crew and when one of the cleaning ladies observed all the glass- she was mortified! Her and maintenance tried their best to clean it all up but they need to deep clean/power wash the patio and pool area to get the rest of the glass. There also was rust all on the bottom slider to the patio. Also upon our arrival in the room, there were two cups that were used by previous guests and not thrown away and sticky spots on counter surfaces. The lack of concern from the front desk about these issues, especially the glass, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

We had a beautiful clean 2 bedroom unit, loved the updated room and decor, needed a few more necessities in the kitchen to me, like paper towels. My family likes to workout and the gym needs a bit of work, like water in the dispenser.

Location and amenities Our room had some sticky and dirty areas, a friend staying in another room had bugs in their sheets and stains and were told by staff they could not move them. I was double charged for items in the downstairs store, they told me one would fall off but it didn’t and I could not get through to a manager.

It was very out dated, mold or mildew on the ceiling in the bathroom, living room chairs was filthy( we went out and bought sheets to put onto of the couches so we were able to sit on them, paint was chipped of some of the walls badly, wall were dirty. If I could have cancelled and gotten my full refund I would have done so and stayed at another resort or hotel. I have pictures for verification.

I was in the deluxe suite the door didn’t lock and we had to literally push so hard to open it. The last night we stayed we were locked out our room because I guess the door was dead. So we had to wait for maintenance to come fix it I will say they came pretty fast. All around staff was super nice and efficient. Even tho the door was broke and the room had a funky smell I might book there again.

We loved the location, staff was friendly and stayed an extra day just to enjoy the beach. Unfortunately, our room was not equipped well. Avoid1223 . Floor was coming up and created sharp raised edges( our grandson received several cuts from this )Television was broken and had lines and we called down the night we got there staff said they would send maintenance but no one showed , so we walked down the next day and reported it again, then when maintenance arrived the supervisor said it was dropped (we felt like they were blaming us ) , paint all over the broken lamp shades, sofa bed was in complete failure and we had to remove the mattress and place on floor just to make it comfortable , safe also didn’t work , had no hair dryer , phone was busted and the kitchen was not remotely equipped . No knifes, no baking pans, no can openers, no paper towels , no oven mitts to even use oven so be prepared to take everything you have if you plan to use kitchen . Refrigerator froze up and stopped working and we lost a lot of our food because it happened at night and wasn’t noticed until it was too late , but hey maintenance brought a blow dryer and thawed it out and was kind enough to to leave a blow dryer. In our last night. I feel like they give booking the bad rooms and the rooms that are not up to par . We also had 8 people and they didn’t have any extra covers Inside the room for the pull down bed or sofa .Also lots of missing tiles in pools , and outdoor showers were not working.

Room 506-poorly stocked- had to request a frying pan and garbage can. Room had very little to use for cooking meals for our family. Carpet is really worn and old. Couch and arm chairs were recently updated but all other furniture was old and battered. Beds were comfortable and clean. We would not stay here again.

We stayed in a three bedroom but it wasn’t renovated. The room was not clean, crumbs and food everywhere. The floor needed mopping and vacuuming. I paid just about $1,000 for three nights, that is unacceptable. There was trash through out the room. Even though I stayed one night of three, I think I should receive a full refund. I had to book another place for the rest of my stay. It was a big inconvenience, we came down for my daughter’s volleyball tournament which took place Saturday and Sunday. Maybe a renovated room is better, but I did not get that experience unfortunately.

Our 1st reservation (2 bedroom and pull out sofa in living room) was booked in December 2025. One week before our arrival date of april 20th, they canceled our reservation due to the property being sold. They wanted to put us in a place where we would have to double up on sleeping arrangements and it was 7 miles from the car show. The reason we picked 1st location to start with, it was walking distance and we had our own room. After repeated requests for a closer room they found this place, which was a studio, but we did each have our own bed. The unit was clean. Unfortunately we didn't have hot water most of the time! Only 2 people got 1 hot shower each during our 4 day stay. When reported they kept saying they would send someone to look at it but no one ever came. We had 3 adults for 4 days/3 nights and they wouldn't give extra linen/towels, said we could use the laundry on site but we had to pay for it. We were also limited to 1 parking spot, where the 1st place had the 2 which we needed. Not exactly a vacation experience I want to repeat. Use caution.

It's right on the ocean and close to Broadway and boardwalk. Had several pools and hot tubs Beds were not very comfortable, the bathrooms door had damage at the bottom, the dressers and doorframe had paint missing and the couch had a couple holes in it. The pull down bed in the living didn't look like the mattress protector had ever been changed or washed. The hot water took 20 plus minutes for it to get somewhat hot and the hot tubs were only hot half the time.

None of the ice makers on any of the floors on the Dominican tower worked at all. Water was coming up through the floor in the room and we called maintenance out, it couldn’t be fixed then. We had gotten a text that morning saying we could extend our stay another night, despite everything we were going to because the kids were having fun. I called down to the lobby after maintenance left and said that I wanted to stay the extra night and I was told it was all good that the room would be available and to just come down to get the key cards redone. I go downstairs to get that taken care of and they tell me I cant, I can’t even extend my check out time because maintenance has to have to room. They can’t even look for another room to extend the stay because it’s not the same room I was in. Everyone there was extremely rude.

Hotel was dirty, pools rusty, dirty floors in hotel rooms, dirty elevators, carpets dirty and very old, balcony old and walls undone, rails to balcony looked unsafe when reported to front desk they didn’t care, hotel Dominican side was deplorable, owners don’t care about their guest because it shows in the upkeep. We tried to stay out of that resort as much as possible. We did not use the pools at all they were filthy to say the least. Very unpleasant stay, but for the child we tried to make the best of a horrible first time to Myrtle Beach experience. We won’t be coming back. Not there anyways. Waste of money and time.oh and the furniture was dirty with a substance on it that they didn’t care to clean nor replace. I’m totally lost at how they don’t care. Staff attitudes and all.

Be warned - It's not just one large hotel...there are 3 or 4 bldgs. Don't get the Jamaiican - dirty and small. Very deceiving!! I know of 2 families that complained and were able to move to a nicer bldg...after being charged another $250.00...I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!

The Staff were friendly very helpful, overall amazingly great! When we arrived we had a few hiccups, but nothing the staff couldn’t handle. I appreciate their hard work and see in making our stay an enjoyable one. I wouldn’t recommend the first floor, this just for my preference, being poolside didn’t give me the privacy I needed to enjoy the beach view. The parking was secure and safe. Again, my family and I enjoyed ourselves. It was our first time at this resort for our Spring Break vacation. I say, try it out… amazing customer service.

Ive had a lot of bad experiences before and never left a review on anything until now. Stayed here two times before and it was great. The last time was horrible. I was locked out of the room multiple times. The door ended up dying twice on two different nights. It ended up being 6 total trips back to the lobby. The room was horrible. Dirty floors, the fridge/freezer kept freezing everything. One electrical outlet not even close to the bed that was available to plug stuff into. Random people beating on the door all through the night. On checkout day I asked about some type of refund and was told “we’re sorry, we will email you” it’s been 5 days and haven’t received anything. All around, it was HORRIBLE. I do not recommend staying here to anyone.

This hotel is advertising falsely what they show online is not what you might get upon arrival they show the big beautiful hotel on adverts but when you go there it's a possibility you will get the old broken motel end of it which wasn't displayed when booking . from the moment I checked in I had issues starting with the room door not been able to close after I dropped my bags so I had to go back to the front desk which they had maintenance came out to fix it and that took 1 1/2hr from me reporting it to them completing the job, the next day when showering the bathtubs was backed up and again I had to go to front desk to report this which I then asked for a room and the manager on duty told me it's going to be a extra 2 5 0 for each which I declined because I don't see how or why I should pay extra to switch when it's not my fault the rooms were fall apart I know I will not be going back to this hotel and I definitely won't be recommending it to anyone.

The photos for the standard room do not clearly show the exterior of the building. The hotel actually has three separate buildings. We stayed in the Jamaican building, which is not the tall blue building—it’s a smaller building located next to the restaurant. To access the main building, where the indoor pools are located, you have to walk behind the restaurant or use the sidewalk.

Bait and switch... the pictures showed a tall multi floor building on the beach. We chose our room in the towers shown looking forward to the pool amenities and lazy river. Upon arrival we were told to drive down the street to another old hotel. It was run down and very dirty. The glass door to the balcony wouldn't close all the way leaving a cracked opening. The floors were very dirty making our feet black. The air conditioner roared loudly every time it turned on. Parking was across the street making loading difficult.

The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the other staff we encountered were also pleasant. There were a few downsides during our stay. The water park was closed, possibly due to the off-season or maintenance. The battery in our room door keypad died, but maintenance came within a few minutes and fixed it. The bed linens had stains, and it took a while to receive clean replacements. My husband also saw a small roach in the bathroom. Parking was okay, although the garage spaces were tight, which was expected, and valet is no longer offered. Despite those issues, the staff was kind and helpful, and I would stay here again.

This was our 3rd year staying here. The location is excellent for our stay. Our room was adequate, but did not feel clean upon arrival. Floors had sand and debris all over them. Bathroom had hair all over it. Second morning of our stay, there was no water for a short time. Every time we flushed the toilet it sounded like a jet taking off inside the wall. Our room was very close to the elevator and we had several nights of not being able to get to sleep until after midnight due to loud voices, doors slamming and kids running around. One of the hot tubs was not functional, the other one was not hot, cooler than the pool. Only 1 elevator out of 3 was working most of the stay. Just seemed to be alot of maintenance lacking this time.

My family and I stayed at this resort and plan to visit again! The room was extremely clean, spacious with a full kitchen and separate living room overlooking the ocean. The resort had heated indoor pools, lazy river and hot tub that we took advantage of, and the outdoor pool had a large area with lots of loungers. It was perfectly located and the staff were very friendly!

Secondly, the indoor pool. The lazy river was WAY warmer than the jacuzzi, and they refused to close the doors to the indoor pool when it was 56 degrees and the wind was blowing hard. (Really didnt make sense why they couldnt leave 2 doors open and close all the rest) it was SO dang cold, we couldnt actually enjoy the pool. That made me super sad, considering how much we spent for our room. Also, there was ball teams in town, im assuming for a tournament, and they were staying in The Caribbean (Dominican Tower), and were SO LOUD! You would think with security, they would have gotten them to quiet down a bit. Nonetheless, our stay overall was fantastic, and we would recommend The Caribbean Resorts and Villas to anyone! -The Lawhons'

I was disappointed from the moment I checked in. First, our room was not in the hotel that is in the picture. We were put in a room in a building down the street from the one in the pics. I would call it the orphan building. The building you register is so nice and impressive when you walk in but I can’t say the same for the “Jamaican Tower.” The corners of the room had piles of dirt, the pillows were disgusting, the toilet seat was barely hanging on. On top of that, if you plan on using the water park, you have to walk to the main building. That was not disclosed. Not to mention multiple water features were out of service and what was in service was pretty run down. My daughter refused to use the kid pool because she said it looked too dirty. The dirty look was due to the chipping of plaster and I knew that but she didn’t understand. I also found an envelope laying on the nightstand instructing me to tip the housekeeping staff which I found to be very tacky. In addition there are very limited parking spots near the Jamaican Tower (maybe like 5?) and you have to park across the street in the overflow lot. Wasn’t easy having to pack all of our luggage that far. Thankfully the elevator worked going up so that we could use the cart, however it would not go back down so we just had to leave the cart beside of it. I asked about getting a room in the main building and was told those are only 4 and 5 bedroom condos which was too big for just me and my daughter.

We had a fantastic trip to Myrtle Beach and our stay at the Caribbean Resort helped make this possible. The room was very nice with a great view of the beach and ocean. There were plenty of amenities for our entire family. We really appreciated the assistance through the text correspondence. We throughly enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to come back!

Do not stay in the Jamaica building. It does not look as it is advertised. Room was not clean as it should have been. We were told that our trash would be emptied & towels replaced but they were not. We had to call for everything. There was also a fire a 7am that caused us to have to evacuate our room. The fire alarm was very low.

The location was perfect the two bedroom condo wasn’t on the beach but a two minute walk from it. It could use better cleaning though. The staff were all very nice and the captain’s restaurant was great!

The unit was updated and very clean. I loved the blue tied into the decor. My children enjoyed the pools and hot tubs. The bar was open for adults. The only thing that I wish was in the unit was things for cleaning the kitchen and for cooking. For example, there was no paper towel, cloths or sponges for dishes, or oven mitts when handling hot pots. Other than this, the stay was great!

It was a nice place only bad thing was when I was wiping down the room for sanitizing it was very nasty as I was wiping with disinfectant spray. Furniture was nasty really need to upgrade on that in the carpet. Other than that it was a nice stay

When I got there I check in and when I went to my room the room was not clean and the room they put me in the bed was hard and the air conditioning makes a lots of noise .The bathroom toilet was real low to the floor and it was hard to put water in everything was terrible The elevator was nasty it had one way in and one way out.

This was a terrible trip this time our unit wasn’t clean, tidy, mattresses were trash my bed I slept on was garbage and the bed was tilted. Upstairs ppl were noisy asked to quiet down nothing helped called 4 time to the office they said someone will come out and no one showed up I set outside on the stairs. Do not book this rechad hotel save your money this is my 3rd time here but the last for sure. Garbage experience management didn’t care at all. Wasn’t clean found cans and other inappropriate items in the room there was 6 ppl that witnessed it.

Our view of the beach / ocean was really nice & the walk to the beach was only 2 minutes. The room initially appeared clean but the floors were dirty (feet would be dirty/ turn black from walking around the room). The beds were okay, stiff & springy. The pool associated with the our building (the Jamaican) was the cleanest of the ones on the properties. The hot tubs felt nice but when you could see the water during the day they looked disgusting (hair, debris, etc).

I really like all of the renovations to the rooms. The heated pool was quite chilly, though. What I didn't like was that the outside lazy river was not working. The same thing happened when we stayed year before last. You need to put in new equipment so that this does not keep happening. I just retired and was looking forward to spending time in the lazy river and pool area. I will think twice before staying there in the future. Due to back issues, I can't walk out on the beach, so I have to enjoy it from the pool areas and balcony.

I’m not one to give a review like this unless it was bad enough for one. This is not a cheap hotel like bar harbor. With all the bad we would have had the same at bar harbor but for way cheaper.

Our stay at the Caribbean Resort was phenomenal! Check-in was easy and quick, the staff was very friendly, and the rooms were gorgeous. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and everything worked as expected. If I have any complaints, it's that the bedding was a little rough and the indoor pool area is in need of a renovation. But other than that, it was a very relaxing stay and we'll definitely be returning in the future.

My family and i spent 4nights and it was the most excellent villa ever. Traveling with my 1yr old kid, i have to say everything i needed was in the room we stayed in. Its very peaceful and quiet. I will be coming back next year. My family and I very much enjoyed our stay.

We had an excellent time during our stay. The room was as expected for this area of Myrtle Beach. There was only one issue: the door lock plate was missing, which prevented the door from closing and locking tightly. We ended up placing a chair under the door handle and wrapping a sheet around the handle and the inside door lock to keep it tight. It made us a little uncomfortable because our room was hidden behind the exit stair entrance. We reported it to the desk staff; however, it was not addressed or fixed by the maintenance department.

Had been updated but there were some issues: The bathroom door was very difficult to open. The door to the living area would not close - refrigerator blocked it. Mattress was worn and lumpy. No trash can in the bathroom. Otherwise, everything was fine and location was great

We stayed in the Jamaican villa at the resort. It was very run down. Room had been cosmetically updated but it was in bad shape. The elevator did not work properly. Only ice machine that worked was on the 2nd floor. We stayed on 4th. Sing drained slowly and leaked. One of the lamps bulbs was out. The safety latch feel in the floor. The room had an odor which I reported. Had two other family members stay in Jamaican and there’s were just as bad. On a positive note, I visited family in the dominican tower the room looked awesome. They had no complaints. All updated. I arranged for my family to book here and now I’m the one getting complaints.

The location was fantastic. Close to shops & restaurants. We visited Ben & Jerry's ice cream and Starbucks that was across the street. I would definitely recommend staying in condo #1107. The condo was so clean and beautifully decorated. Only thing we didn't like was someone who was smoking Marijuana above us constantly. But we didnt let that mess up our vacation.

Staying at the Caribbean Resort was the best decision we made for our vacation. It is right on the beach. There are indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, and lazy rivers plus a water slide outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I reserved a two bedroom w/ ocean view. They initially put us in a small one bedroom. My two daughter in laws and myself went on the trip so I knew I wanted a sitting area. The one bedroom in the Jamaican building was very very dirty . After spending time going back to the lobby to ask for a different room, we were put in a two bedroom. After getting in there, the bathroom was dirty and there was mold all over both room ceiling. So we made a trip BACK to the lobby. They scheduled maintenance to come take care of it….. which they did take care of “most” of the ceiling mold but after gutter looking. It was in MULTIPLE places, on the air conditioning unit, on the couch pull out bed.

Beachfront is nice. Place was not very clean, had issues with our door. Housekeeping was next to non-existent. Never came to clean, only dropped off towels and took away garbage. Bed linens were old and stained. Probably would not stay here again, unless things change.

The street outside the hotel was too loud. Remote foe tv didn’t work, had to wait for maintenance to bring a working remote. Sand was still on the floors as we entered the room. The guys at the pool towel center wasn’t nice. I couldn’t get out the gate and they watched me struggle to open it and it wasn’t the right gate to go out but they didn’t help!!!! Hotel check in were super nice!! We will come again but check the room before going in.

You need to put in a restroom for the pool area that does not have steps. When you have walking or wheel chair issues the only restroom poolside was up steps or a long way around ramps. Handicap people generally have walking distance issues. You never took them into consideration.

They have about 15 spots for unloading when arriving. We got here about 9pm on Friday, of Labor Day. They had 4 people working the check in, it was real quick to get checked in in less than 10minutes, which was surprising because there were people pulling in to unload back to back. Room cost for Labor weekend Friday -Monday for an Oceanview suite was $900. Myrtle Beach water is grey, so it's not anything to be excited about! Whole hotel appears renovated and the desk people were all nice even at midnight when I came down for a blanket. Our room was actually clean and renovated. We were in the Dominican Tower. I called before arrival to verify the room was renovated. Even the elevators, while older, were very fast and they have multiple elevators! Parking is directly across the street and actually very convenient, 6 decks. Multiple elevators and stairs. This hotel is truly on the quiet end so if you have kids this is a great hotel. The wall bed was very easy to pull down and my daughter said it was very comfortable especially over the couch bed. Kitchenette was clean and stocked with bowls etc. Also they send a text message service AI chat that you can use to request or deny room service!! Definitely needed that because they were knocking extremely hard on doors. I would still recommend this location since it's new, may change after a year or 2 or 3

I had no problem with the property itself, but as for my roomin the Dominican building, I had roaches they did spray for them on a Saturday, but it did not get rid of them Saturday. I also had a water leak that they had to work on for a couple hours so that’s why I am rating a one for my room. I had notified in text messages. Also went to the front desk to let them know of my problem. I was told a manager Tonya would contact me and she did. She did offer me an X amount and I said that was

We travel a lot and we have never been treated as poorly! The room was not what we had booked, we booked the Dominican and were put in the Jamaican, the lady at checkin refused to even consider there was a mistake, said she actually could not even find we had ever stayed there before. It took a manager to come and find our reservation who still refused to correct the issue so we ultimately decided to accept the room and move forward. We got to the room the AC was broken, running extremely loud, pieces of plaster literally falling off the ceiling and just all around unclean with a foul odor. Then it basically took an act of congress to be moved to another room (which was still not what we had originally booked). Then low and behold we went into the second room the bed was unmade with hair in it, no pillow cases and the bathroom had not even been cleaned urine was still in the commode!!! Went back to the front desk with pictures and videos of both situations and we were given the option to pay $587 more for 3 nights to be moved to the original room type we had booked or forfeit the one night stay and get a partial refund! I MEAN SERIOUSLY!!! We opted to forfeit and leave, mind you 8 hours away from home Labor Day weekend and were treated so rudely we chose to leave and take our chances elsewhere! The question is Will the money they lose from my family effect them in any way.. ABSOLUTELY NOT! However hopefully this review can help someone else from being stuck in our situation!

We reserved an oceanfront room but was put in a teeny tiny ocean VIEW room in a building detached from high rise and over two blocks away in a really old four story building with the smallest elevator in existence. Had to go back to front desk and show Expedia reservations for ocean front and move everything again to correct room. We are two senior citizens who had to push belongings 2-3 blocks down the sidewalk to the new room and it was not easy! Then we had to evacuate building twice because of smoke alarms and fire trucks. Three false alarms. And 2 1/2 hours check in. We will not be back!

The resort was great. The condo was clean besides the floors. It looked like they'd never been mopped before. LOL. However, everything else was clean. The only other thing that was strange was that there was not much in the kitchen to cook with. There were a total of 3 pots, no skillets or anything. Also, we requested a sponge to wash the dishes with and we were told that was for VIP guests. That was a bit shocking. Overall, I would stay here again, its beautiful.

The pots and pans were NASTY all rusted over and not safe to use. I wasn’t even comfortable boiling water. The couch and chair was grungy. It stunk and was stained. The throw pillows were grungy and stunk. They had someone’s left over food in there. Crumbs in the cabinet. No kitchen trashcan. Only large spoons. A crack in the tea pitcher where it leaked out. Plastic cups had cracks in it. The mattresses were horrible. The AC didn’t work for a day. Someone came to clean it out. And said it’s extremely dirty

Location was fantastic. The room had everything we needed in it and more. Tons of local amenities as well making the location very convenient. There was only a few small issues with the room but would not deter me from staying again. The room had some coffee splashes from the previous tenants on the coffee table and wall. Also, we were missing bedding for 2 of the beds but they did eventually bring that to us. The only big problem we had was the bartender/server at the poolside bar/snack hut. He was very rude multiple days in a row. I give anyone some grace in thinking maybe they were short staffed or the closer didn’t close for him properly but he was just downright rude and fought with customers. He even just walked away once. But that again wouldn’t deter us from coming back in the future. Hopefully he has moved on from them.

Great location and amenities The AC was broken from 420pm when we checked in until after noon the next day. Our family of 7 including a baby were sweltering hot through the night with 80° temp. We had to go to Walmart at 10:30pm and spend over $100 on fans to deal with the heat just to barely sleep. The on-call/ first response people never answered their phone the first day and we got the run around from our check in till the next morning. The AC repair man came and he told us that this villa 1107 has been notified many times to replace this AC unit. It’s a failed unit. There wasn’t even a furnace filter in it. The technician said that the AC would cool for the 2 days left that we would be there. Extremely disappointed with how it was handled. The person from Vacasa I was texting all night said that our fan purchase would be compensated back to me if I shared the receipt… which I did. Also, our first night at the villa would be compensated back to us. We spent almost $2000 for 3 nights to have to deal with a third of our vacation lost. I still haven’t received the money back . I am hoping to receive more than just my money back, potentially a future credit towards another stay as well. This was handled very poorly on the management side.

The gift shop. Everything. It’s was very dirty. The living room couch smelled of urine. The chair had stains rips, and a funky smell. The floors were sandy and dirty as if they had not been mopped. The bedsheets were stained. There was nothing about this unit that made me feel comfortable. I had to purchase sheets, a broom and mop and cleaning supplies for this unit to be able to feel okay staying there. Not worth what I paid. I would not recommend this unit to anyone, not even my enemies. Just gross!! Disgusting and true meaning of dirty Myrtle. This unit ruined our vacation.

I loved the easy access to the apartment; I love the facility. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious. The renovations were quite the inconvenience, especially not having access to the workout facility and having to walk around the building for pool and beach access.
