Beachcomber Inn

Beachcomber hotel was nothing like what the picture shows.The room was in poor condition. The floor was dirty,the microwave did not work and had a fraid cord.The walls and ceiling had stucko all over it and needed to be painted,cracks in the trim.Stains were everywhere. Rust was on the lamps and bed frame. The door to the patio was stuck and hard to open.The ice machine outside of our room did not work nor the drink machine. The day we left we told staff about issues- they did not care what so ever.The air conditioning was great- very cold and pool was very well maintained.

It didn’t look anything like the pictures it was ran down. They only have the front building repainted looking okay. You couldn’t walk around in the room without shoes. There was no hot water so we didn’t get to shower. There was a lot of damage to the walls doors and floors. One spot they put up a random piece of plywood and screwed it to the wall to cover up a hole in the drywall. There was also a big roach dead in the floor when we woke up. The bed and furniture were wore out and had stains all over.

the staff seemed like they had a atttor they didn’t like there job not very friendly but the stay overly all was alright me n my friends stays for 3 nights n it was decent for something last minute n quick

We had a great time. The location, pool, access to beach ,shopping and variety of foods.

I had a very good stay at the beachcomber. I had a horrible experience at another hotel when I got here I had paid almost $900 to stay at this other hotel and it was so disgusting that I couldn’t stay there and now I’m having to fight to get my money back when I told the beachcomber of my problem. They let me book my room for less than half the amount might I add and they let me into my room right away to help me out great service then when I was just leaving my room, I locked the door and didn’t get my stuff and had a made let me in and she love me right in. This was a really great place. They care about their customers.

NO WIFI THE ENTIRE TIME I WAS THERE!!!! They do not have WiFi for the beachcomber. Microwave did not work and didn’t get a new one till the day before we left. Shower curtain was too short so it flooded the floors and had to use towels to keep from coming in the rooms. Had a spider in the bed. Huge water bugs/roaches in the room. When you book the room you’re under the impression that you have your own balcony but NOPE, you share it with the neighboring room. Paid too much for a terrible room. Then they didn’t have complimentary breakfast for the beachcomber only for the days inn. Management only cares about the Days Inn. Manager still has not contacted me. And they do not do anything to make up for the terrible stay. I’m trying to get in contact with a manager to get a partial refund cause stuff just kept happening. Only thing that got fixed was the microwave. They asked if I wanted to change into a room the day before I left and then in a room that didn’t accommodate us.

Overall, you get what you pay for. It was very old, run down, and not kept well, but the towels were clean and plentiful, and the sheets were clean as well. The mattresses and blankets had some questionable stains but what do you do. We checked for bedbugs and roaches and didn't find any so we stayed, it was just for an 8 hour sleep and it worked for our family. a 2BR "suite" for 5 people for $135/night, it was fine enough. Definitely not for any longer than that though.

There is no elevator for strollers the rooms need a lot of work needs renovations better up keep

Was very disappointed with this place. It must have had water damage because the mold smell was so bad. Fortunately the staff set us up next door.

It was close to the beach had a good view. The pictures online are definitely from when the place first opened. There was rust all over the room , the doors didn’t shut all the way , the place is in need of a lot of repairs, the door in the bathroom is so water logged it’s coming apart , the toilet overflowed every time you flushed it . Just wasn’t what I expected. I paid for 4 people to stay we had 2 towels and was given issues when my husband would bring the dirty back to get clean towels .

This place has nowhere to check in. The place was deserted, dirty, and dilapidated. We arrived late at night and had to check into another hotel. I purchased reservation insurance, and it wouldn't let me cancel due to short notice. This place is a shamble. No stars and do not recommend.

I like the room. The room was nice. It was an oceanfront like I asked for but all over motel. It really needs a new upgrade on it. I’ve never stayed on the south end before people in and out all night long slamming doors babies out there crying in the hallways in the middle of the night, but the room was cleaned and nice. Never seen a hotel staff. What I liked about the property it was right there on the beach

It was such a disappointment and absolutely disgusting. We were unable to even stay at the room and had to get another hotel due to the magnitude of how horrible it was. The toilet seat was broken, there was black mold, the stairs were broken, the beds had not been changed, the floors would turn your feet black soon as you stepped on them, part of the flooring was coming up, the ceiling in the bathroom was falling apart, the chairs were not able to be sat in. The beds had stains all on them and headboards were broken and detached from the beds. For the price you can get better.

Room was good, we didn’t have room service come the entire time so that sucked. We didn’t have a main office it was next door and no one ever answered. Overall it was good.

The receptionist let me switch rooms when I notice they don't have elevators for my disabled daughter. The room was hot when we entered had to put the ac on 65 to cool it down. The rooms need to be updated. The floors and walls need repairs and repainted. The ice machine and the drink machine didn't work. The housekeeping didn't wait until check out time before trying to come in the room.

Have stayed here before plenty of extended times and not satisfied this time. Me and my baby came and I always add more nights and after the two I booked, I wasn’t happier to leave. Room STUNK. THROW UP. Not sure what’s going on in there but smelled terrible and sheets nor pillows seemed clean.. I’ll stay again, I’ve stayed before numerous times like I said but especially for what I paid- not satisfied this trip.

Beach view was great however, there was spiders in the shower, paint peeling in shower and Sheetrock was falling off the ceiling. The deal chair was disgusting and I fell out of it and hit my head because it was missing a wheel. The pool was clean however all the pool loungers were broken but 2 and the picnic table was rotten. So we ended up paying $50 to rent chairs on beach instead of utilizing the pool as well. The ice machine was in operational so we had to buy ice from store for the two days we were there. Beds were comfortable however we was on the third floor which was awesome but the kids in room directly above is was running and jumping until late and then early in the morning at 7am. No one answered the phone when we tried to complain. So after spending over $200 for two nights I will NEVER stay here again.

A cheap stay , pool is clean but not much else is . The person who cleans the pool, should clean the floors !

No staff.. no cameras … no hot water .. no WiFi.. no elevator… no front office u gotta check into another hotel.. ceiling caving in… cracks everywhere… showers are badly ghetto made… don’t waste ur money it’s terrible

View and staff was great and very nice but bed kinda hard most may like that ((but when I was leaving I alway strip the beds so the maid don’t have to and it’s mold growing in the sheets that I slept on and my pillow and i did not feel good my whole stay I know why now bed are not being changed cleaned floors are not being Moped I used a towel to wipe floor and just nasty

The room floor had dead bugs all over and rust on the bottom of bed all the way to the floor. The ac did not work. The checkin was at days inn next door because they did not have a check in office. The bed has dead flys and some other stuff on it (did not want to know because the sheets smelled moldy)

We arrived and our room was occupied by someone else.. we had to wait in the cold for over 30 mins waiting on hotel to figure the room out!

The king bed was very uncomfortable, tvs stopped working after 12AM there was no phone in room to call the desk the room was supposed to have 2 queen's per its listing but in stead had 2 fulls

Perfect beach location!!! The room was very clean! The linens were crisp and beds good. It came with a balcony overlooking an incredible beach. Pool was sparkling and in great shape. I was there for the location. This room was on the 4th floor with no elevator (be aware when booking what floor you are getting)it had a working tv, fridge, microwave. We couldn’t get the WiFi to work but may have been fixed if I reported it. (I was there for the beach not WiFi) overall for the money this was my best find. I loved my stay and would definitely recommend-beach on a budget at its finest!

Clean room. Staff doesn’t answer the phone and you have to go up front for anything you need and they don’t check their systems before literally busting into your room on your 2 year old sleeping or you half naked. Other than that- nice quiet stay in a bad area. Would recommend but would recommend putting a chair or something in front of the door because like I said- they don’t check their systems making sure you are supposed to be there before literally busting through your door! Great parking. Very open. Will be back in the future.

Property was clean but the bed needs frames and not metal bottoms. If you having sex the bed is terrible. Makes all kinds of noises and it isn’t a good sound because you can hear other people beds also. Mildew was in one room and was change to another one. The rooms need to be updated real bad.

The price was good for this time of year. And a 2 bedroom for that. I did not like the stairs, 3rd floor was a killer. And the room smelled funny and out dated. Really need a update.

Clean quiet got to go to the front for anything you need. Other than that pretty good stay.

Its very old no updates done , people next to use where fighting so loudly i called 911 on them sounded physical between man and woman. Not worth the price at all had to go to hotel next door to register and get extra towels office it there

Beachfront Nasty. Dirty towels. Dirty floors. Opened toiletries. Bed sounds old and creaky. Furniture was old and decrepit. Painting and floors baseboards all were extremely poor condition.

Okay but can’t get in touch with workers. Needed new towels and sheets for 2 days but can’t get in touch with anyone. Lights in kitchen and bathroom don’t work and haven’t since I got here. Great view of beach.

I reserved a room for 5 days at the Beach Comber but instead they gave us a room at the Days Inn on the 4th floor with no working elevator. As I am a 51 year old woman with some health issues. So going up and down the stairs was not only extremely painful but at times unbearable.

I got a standard 2 bed motel room with no Oceanview, mold, painted over rust, microwave was rusted inside, electric plug for hair dryer was falling out of the wall. Had to move furniture to get plugs for my breathing machine and phone. TV didn't work. Kids running thru motel corridor, 2 times someone knocked on our door, several times someone tried their key to open door. Was told breakfast was from 7-10am, only to find out Office door was closed from ,7pm-7am and had to get breakfast elsewhere. Definitely not what I paid for and hotel was disgusting, would never stay there again. Checked out after first night and found a hotel down the road with Oceanview, 2 bedroom, clean, and very accommodating.

Beach view was nice. The outside of the building was trashed the top of the stairs had trash all over them. People smoking pot the smell was so bad.

Beds were very comfortable. No elevator for disabled persons, the ice machine was broken and the pool chairs were broken. The walk to the beach had at large step down that prevents people with knee issues getting up and down.

There was no elevator and we were on the 4th floor, limited towels and wash clothes in room, and several of lounge chairs by pool were broken.

Oh my good definitely in worse condition than the photos on expedia. Parking lot next door is very loud. The first thing, when I walked into the room, I turned on the lights and roaches ran across the floor. The chair in the room was utterly disgusting black from dirt and filth.

This place is awful! It doesn’t even match the pictures in the listing. There is rust, mold, dirt, trash, and lent everywhere. The humidifier had backed up dust and lent. The pool was dirty. There is no kids pool. The chairs and picnic tables are broken. The rooms are filled with rust and mold. The furniture has old dust on it. The floor was so dirty it made my feet turn black. This place is awful and trashy. It needs to be shut down. I tried to talk to someone about the issues and to get my room cleaned. NO ONE CAME! The room is way out of date and the furniture is no good falling apart ,the bed is on metal platforms that are rusted away and the shower airflow doesn’t work all the water comes out the shower the fridge is rusted the pool was very dirty and some staff is rude not all

The bottom bed frame was squeaky and rusted, rust was on the floor because of it. Bottom of lamp was rusty and looked like it had been sitting in water at some point. Balcony railings were 5 feet high. We wanted an ocean front view so we could relax and look out to the ocean but were unable to see over the railing! The rooms where horrible , dirty, broken doors , stains on bed and chair, pool had broken tables and no chair set up, area was around a bunch of abandoned hotels and store fronts

No elevator. WiFi didn’t work. Very close walk to beach. Pool was clean and never crowded. Staff is amazing. Rooms are in need of makeover. Some rot on doors and looks like mold.

We saw a small roach heading towards the bed tried killing it but it got away we thought it was gonna go under the bed and it crawled up the side of the bed platform. The trash receptacles going up 3 flights of stairs to our room, we're all the dirty and the trash bags were laying outside of the receptacles with trash in them. This was at 10- 11 o'clock at night. At that time of night, I'm being on a weekend. We are not able to find another hotel with availability. We had to drivein land an hour.

When we arrived the balcony door was open and everything in the room was very wet from humidity. Try to turn on the air conditioner and it didn’t work. Went to the office and let them know about the ac. They called maintenance and said it would be about 10 minutes. An hour later we went down again to tell them my mother (that was with me) has asthma and a heart condition and needs ac. Told me they had no more rooms and I’d have to wait 7-10 days for a refund that we would have to wait on maintenance. Once maintenance arrives they put in a brand new ac unit. We still had to deal with everything being wet and dirty. Location was the only positive. Don’t forget the large bugs.

Beautiful view, great price, Ocean Front and clean rooms. I did ask for towels twice at the front desk and she said they qould bring them to us....never did. 5 days you definitely need a clean towel. Everything else was great.

My Uber driver warned me but I was already prepaid. I counted 14 roaches I had to kill. The bedding was stained. Very outdated & I felt unsafe. Only good thing was the location in the beach. I had to eat out or on the beach because the bugs & roaches ruined my appetite. I could rest because the where in the bed.

It’s a Small quiet hotel on the beach front and I booked a double bed room for me and my kids. The room was nice for such the low price however the floors were dirty. Me and my kids wore socks or shoes the entire time as long as our feet touched the floor. There was a rust stain on the floor in the corner of the bed frame. And check in had me confused because their office is closed so you would have to check in next door at the days inn. Other than that it’s a decent place. Me and my kids enjoyed the pool and beach. Also wait till 10:30/11am to get into the pool as the don’t come to clean it till like 9/9:30am

Hotel itself needs to be updated. The room floor was filthy, missing a phone and a rod to hold clothes up. Drawers were dirty and a lot of gnats flying around. They have no Elevator so the up and down the stairs was not fun. Pool was clean and location was good. Would I stay there again, probably not.

You also have to check in at the property next door and there are no luggage carts, but since there’s no elevator they’d be essentially useless anyway. The beds were really uncomfortable, you can feel the springs in any position, and despite following all the directions about the TV, it never worked. Staff was amazing. Property is clearly owned and operated by someone who stopped caring a long time ago. I didn’t take pictures because we basically didn’t want to be in the room any longer than we had to be. Will not be returning.

We loved that it wasnt crowded. Very clean. Walls and windows thin enough to hear outside very well. Fireworks right beside our room at midnight was not good. Bathroom door hits light in ceiling. Great location, will stay again.

Beds, sink, and bathrooms were the only clean things I could remember. There was an extremely filthy accent chair in my room that I avoid to look at or use. Definitely not worth the price! This hotel falls in the range of $50 per night.

PEOPLE STAY AWAY! am travelling around US, and checked in at 3pm to have some sleep , and couldn't stay in the room the neighbor played music really loud couldn't sleep, had to leave, and STAYED OUTSIDE, I came back at 8 they still have music really loud, now 9:35pm can't stay in the room music is loud. I wrote the manager, NO ANSWER! THE WORST hotel in my life

Outdoor pool was also filthy. It looks like the unit had major water damage and they just painted over it. Nobody was on site to deal with any issues.

Ok, the people I encountered at the Beachcomber were fine. The location is very good. HOWEVER, the place is a dive. In fact, I must have been the only person to know this because we were the ONLY people staying in this motel. If you are fine staying in a dump of a place, then have at it. We paid for 4 days/3 nights, but only stayed one night because of the circumstances. No refund given. Went up the street about 1/2 mile and got a really nice place to stay!

The hotel told them they could not find a reservation under my name nor reservation number. But then proceeded to charge my credit card two days later. homeless people sleeping in stairwell/hallways. trash piled everywhere. no elevators.

The room in general was good the bed was comfortable I slept well.The bad was no hot water for a day,the humidifier leaked water overnight so I woke up to a soaked floor and the TV channels were awful the guide channels didn't match the TV channels

The path to the beach wasn’t taken care of. It was hard to get through. The gates to the pool were also broken:m. And their was an accumulation of trash next to the garbages on the levels (cigarettes, papers). However, inside the room I have no complaints. The ocean view, clean and comfy beds! Only the sofa was ripped, broken and stained. For the price I would stay here again.

The room was horrible! We found a spider in the bed, the front door was so bad that light came in around the door. The gap was so big you could put you fingers in between the door and the frame. The crown molding was coming off wall. The gaps were huge. You could see wiring behind the molding. The baseboards were in terrible shape. Big hunks were missing. The lights near the bed didn't work. The ceiling fixture looked like it was going to fall from the ceiling. The floor was damaged, ironing board was present but no iron. This was the worst room I've ever seen. Don't be deceived by the pictures shown on their website. This place is terrible. Oh... there was a broken water pipe right outside our room spewing water the entire time we were there.

Our room was ok it was clean no odor we had penalty of towels & washcloths there were a few bugs (roaches). My personal feeling was the bed was to soft for me. We had a side view of the ocean n a nice bench in front.

Its was a nice location and not far from the besch at all. But the cleanliness and maybe some repairs to the building would be suggested. We did have a few roaches in our room which we know is common for the area so maybe some traps or exterminator should be an idea.

Ocean view was nice.

The room that is shown online is the nice version of what we were given upon arrival. Our room door did not fit into the doorframe properly, so there was a large gap between the frame and the door. There was water damage to the ceiling, which caused the wood to warp so far we could see into the ceiling when we laid in the bed. We found cigarette butts in the floor, and there was a large hole in the flooring by the door. The handicap unit we were in also has a large locker room style walk in shower that soaks the floor, and mold all over the shower walls and ceiling. Beware that the water takes a long time to heat, but then it becomes scalding hot once it does, and if the staff is running laundry there's no hot water at all. There's one basic pool that gets cleaned from about 8 am to 12 pm daily, we couldn't use the pool in the mornings at all. Overall, if you're on a tight budget, or you're just looking for the cheapest minimum needs ocean front, this hotel will work. The location was great but for the price, I'm not sure we'll be back.

This is what we expected for a ocean front room. Beds were comfortable, it was quiet. Bad thing shower barely warm. It doesn't look like the picture but we enjoyed our overall stay

This was a terrible experience. The room smelled like wet dogs, there was garbage in the stairwell and the garbage cans were full. The bed was very uncomfortable.

The rooms had mold refused to refund me only walked in and walked out. Dirty bugs absolutely disgusting smells like crap do not go here pics on Expedia are a lie!!!

Why can’t I include pics? First of all, there was a dehumidifier in the room that I had to empty. The shower leaked onto the floor with barely any water pressure. The air conditioner leaked on the floor inside the room. There were stains all over the bed skirt and the headboard and a chair in the room with broken legs I opened up the cabinet. The TV was setting up, and it was moldy and looks like it had water damage and was falling apart. Nobody gave me clean linen nothing

It was absolutely the worst hotel i have ever stayed in floors was dirty mold and roaches not to mention cops their everyday and night definitely does not look like the pictures

Location right on the beach. Pool was very clean and nice to swim in. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. Mini fridges were good. But everything was falling apart, water damage, filters needed to be changed and water changed out in AC because they were brown. Wasnt worth $200 for the night but thats what you get in Myrtle Beach. Wont stay long term

Flush toilet in the bathroom the sink would stop up outside the bathroom run the sink water and it goes down the pipes and comes out the bottom of the wall and the. Want to move me to room next door and when that toilet would flush behind the toilet in our room it would come from behind it

Not at all as pictured or described. Waste of money!! Bugs in room, Doors with gaps. I refused to walk in the room without shoes. DON"T STAY !! pay more for a reputable hotel, This one is old and not worth it. Motel 6 is better!! Way better!!!

We were there for one night. The beds were clean and comfortable, the bathroom was dated, this is an old property that has been given some upgrades. The bathroom had cockroaches. An exterminator in the summer is required at the beach. Otherwise a nice room and the pool was good too. This room was a suite. It had two entrances and a very nice balcony patio. It was not ocean front. It overlooked the strip so bring earplugs if that bothers you. We had 6 people and beds for all.

There were no staff for Beachcomber inn, you have to check in with Days Inn and walk over to days inn if you need assistance. They hardly answer the phone and our room was dirty the toilet was clogged by the second time we used it and the appliances and furniture are dirty and rusted and old. Also the plunger was broken. 0/10

Besides the hot water not working everything else was pretty good honestly! Met some super friendly people i loved it

The pool was clean and not crowded but there is no kiddie pool. Only a few lawn chairs and no shade. Overall for the money it was a surprisingly good!

The hotel was extremely run down. It was by FAR the most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. I killed three roaches the first night; I just stayed in the bed my remaining nights and didn’t look for more because I just wanted it to be over. It was a huge mistake booking multiple nights there. The refrigerator didn’t work, there was water damage everywhere even though it was on the third floor. I hung everything I owned from the clothing rod, and bought paper towels to put down because I didn’t want anything I owned to touch anything. At least the sheets seemed clean, the bed was the only refuge from the filth. The bathroom floor was greasy; my flip flops slid on it (no way was I touching the floor with my bare feet). Cracked mirror. Cracked and peeling ceiling. Drywall patches and workmanship worse than a fifth grader would do. A towel from a previous guest left on the balcony with a disgusting footprint on it. The microwave had a stench to it. Stains and mold on the floor. Old mattresses stacked outside. Worst hotel stay ever. Avoid.
