Hard to rate this one at the moment. It is under renovation which we did not know when we reserved the property just a few weeks before our reservation. Parking was fine, but around construction type equipment. Amenities were really limited as the coffee machines were not up and running, nor was there any water available. They did give us water in bottles, but only after saying "we don't normally do this". Breakfast was very limited for the same reasons. More like a continental breakfast but even short on that.

The staff was friendly. The location is currently under renovations. The room that we stayed in was already renovated. It served his purpose. It’s not anything fancy, but definitely clean and they provide provided continental breakfast, which was convenient and great.
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
Place was clean and overall amenities good. My leg was messed up and elevator not working had to walk up stairs. No hair blower in room but the front desk was fast to get me one and very little amount of food for breakfast. Again being renovated and the front desk guys was awesome. We stay this area a lot so next time I'll verify renovations are done & the food has been upgraded and everything is in working order before booking again. The front desk guy was awesome.
- 5/5
Very nice and friendly staff too!
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. There was some construction going on when I stayed, but it was very quiet. I slept so good. Planning on booking again.
- 5/5
Despite construction happening in the hotel. The room was renovated and clean. The staff was friendly.
- 2/5
This property is undergoing renovation which include construction on some floors. The dust from construction permeates the building and the contruction area is unsightly. I got sick from inhaling the dust.
- 3/5
The hotel was clean the staff great! Unfortunately the beds was like sleeping on a bed of river rocks!!!!! I contemplated sleeping on the floor the second night but couldn't bring myself to sleep on a hotel floor no matter how clean.
- 2/5
Breakfast was frozen items and expectation was to heat in the microwave and eat. Parking zone had a huge crane parked and it was scary to park my car in there. The hotel name (vue) changed to cityview by Marriott during my stay!
- 4/5
It was great considering the fact that the hotel is currently undergoing a renovation. I’m sure once the work is completed, the hotel will be excellent.
- 5/5
I like the location as it is close to downtown , safe and free breakfast
- 5/5
I like the location as it is close to downtown , safe and free breakfast
- 4/5
The staff was very diligent, and friendly.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff and Tesla chargers
- 5/5
I've stayed here several times over the years. Now I hear the hotel has become part of the Marriott chain. Love the newly remodeled rooms. Overall, the place actually feels better than it did years ago. The breakfast is alright too. The only thing is I would like some more fruit options. Clean room with a friendly staff. I won't hesitate to stay again.
- 3/5
The elevator doors did not stay open long enough. Not enough time for 1 person to go through defense not 2 pounds.
- 4/5
Enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
did not eat
- 5/5
Good places to stay
- 5/5
Great new rooms! Excellent staff service
- 5/5
Newly renovated rooms look great! Great service too
- 5/5
Great service by the team, especially Oscar and Miguel. Hotel was under renovation but the new rooms are a noticeable upgrade from the previous versions! 👍
- 5/5
Owners are very easy to work with. Book on Hotels.com so your reservation shows up as soon as you finish your on-line entry.
- 3/5
Place was under construction and there was no lobby at all. Kinda sketchy looking.
- 5/5
Decent stay, no closet in the room, comfortable bed, decent wifi, noisy during the afternoon due to being on El Camino but quiet in the evening.
- 1/5
Ask for the full refund
- 2/5
Room was tiny, water came out the tap black, construction everywhere. Felt safe enough but this is a no frills, crash at night sort of place and the price reflects it.
- 4/5
Under construction
- 4/5
The hotel is going through a remodel. The 'Registration office' is a folding table accessed from the back entrance. There is a limited continental breakfast available near the elevators. Would have been nice to have a heads up about the construction situation. Other than that fine.
- 2/5
There was work in progress and a sign " excuse our dust".
- 4/5
Hotel is pretty no-frills. Rooms are clean and seem to have been renovated recently. Ongoing renovation construction work is taking up a large part of the lot with their equipment, so there's not enough parking and you can end up parking on the street.
- 3/5
Also, many people out in the parking lot smoking cigarettes. The smell was DISGUSTING!
- 3/5
Hotel was under construction. Room was far from.up to standards we normally experience. Bath tube had a part of the finish broken off on one side tolet was damagedside...
- 4/5
Comfortable and quiet
- 1/5
The room was really amalli could barely move my luggage around i even hit my foot on the steel frame bed
- 2/5
Absolutely bad rundown smells really bad. Very much not like advertised on your website.
- 4/5
Pretty happy, definitely parts of the floor hadn't been vacuumed in months.
- 1/5
Construction ongoing Very loud and non stop. Was not warned. Went to discuss moving rooms. No one at the front desk.
- 1/5
Dirty room with hair on the bathroom floor. Holes in the curtains. Electrical plate hanging from the wall by the wires. Threadbare furniture. Workout room filthy with garbage piled against one wall and somebody's bike leaning against the equipment. Polite staff. Awful experience otherwise.
- 5/5
Excellent courteous stff
- 5/5
Room was older but clean. Looks like they are remodeling. Staff was amazing!!
- 4/5
Yes very comfortable
- 2/5
Hotel was being remodeled and the breakfast area wasn't open. Instead, they carved out a corner on second floor for breakfast. The area is too small to put any tables so you can only bring the food to your room, which is an inconvenience. But worse was that I was trying to take a nap in the afternoon (1/30) and the construction noise was so loud I found it hard to fall asleep. I paid for the room and I expect at least a quiet environment. Why do they think it's ok to be pounding, drilling, sawing, etc. right next door to me! The front desk wasn't ready and they just use a folding table as a makeshift front desk! They should just close the place for remodeling and open only when done!
- 5/5
Thank you
- 1/5
I was booked in a room in the eveningwhere, without notice to me, heavy construction was planned for early the following morning. Beginning before 8 AM loud noises and banging from directly upstairs woke me and prevented me from going back to sleep. The noise continued, despite my many calls to the front desk, who repeatedly told me they did not know where the noise was coming from and would check it out, but failed to get back to me each time.
- 5/5
My stay was good, staff is great. Thank you Vue
- 1/5
Rooms were dirty. Breakfast was just bread no real food.
- 1/5
Spider webs on the ceiling, hair in the shower, water in sinks and tub wouldn’t drain it took a few minutes. My entrance door bolt lock didn’t work. In the hallway all the walls looked to be half painted and patched. Don’t recommend.
- 4/5
Location
- 4/5
Friending
- 3/5
Staff was great, rooms were worn, breakfast nothing to write home about
- 4/5
Another patron in the parking lot damaged my vehicle.
- 5/5
Although I did experience some to little construction/remodeling on the 3rd floor during the day, it did not disrupt my time in my room (317). Speaking of my room, it fit my needs. I entered in a clean room, equipped with microwave, keurig coffee maker w/ pods, and mini fridge. Hot/cold shower, good wifi and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good for me, oatmeal, pastries, yogurt, some fruits, detox water, hot coffee. Parking was easy, many shops and restaurants are within walking distance, and the staff was superb. Id stay in Hotel vue again when I am in town for business. Thank you Hotel Vue team.
- 3/5
Amazing hot water! Breakfast was basic but appreciated.
- 4/5
Breakfast menu was just ok.
- 5/5
Great clean room
- 5/5
Awesome
- 4/5
The room was spacious and well laid out. But there was no black-out curtain and the lights from the parking lot are bright. Wasn't much of a problem for me but it would have been a deal-breaker for my wife.
- 5/5
Thank you
- 5/5
A great place to stay, I will say.
- 5/5
All great
- 5/5
Clean room, comfortable room, easy check in, nice breakfast options
- 5/5

- 5/5
Breakfast, comfortable, staff just great
- 5/5
Clean. Great service.
- 4/5
Had a good time would do it again
- 5/5
Parking was easy and lots of restaurants around. Also located in a safe area
- 5/5
Clean room, nice mid-century architecture outside is airy, uplifting. Hotel has been maintained well. Fantastic location, great parking (well-lit). Great for this category of hotel. I'll stay again.
- 4/5
No frills hotel. Everything was good, could have been great.
- 5/5
As before
- 5/5
Pretty Clean, I liked it, also nice with the member deal and stuff.
- 5/5
yes
- 5/5
Clean rooms and great convenient breakfast Excellent location
- 5/5
An awesome place Lots of construction was going on though so some noise but I would return again !!!
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful I even stayed a second night
- 3/5
Hotel and rooms are a bit beat up. Could have been cleaner - there was grime on the charger station, etc. Staff was extremely nice though and convenient to Caltrain.
- 5/5
Bathroom is tiny, quirky door placement
- 5/5
Clean and nice staff
- 5/5
Front desk associate was very kind and took care of me so well!
- 5/5
Coffee thank you
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff was friendly, parking was easy, Convenient for the overnight stay before my business meeting the next day
- 5/5
I always love this hotel!
- 5/5
I felt very comfortable and the staff was truly wonderful. They went out of their way to accommodate us downstairs since my child was having a procedure that prevented him from walking upstairs. Their kindness really made a difference, and we definitely plan to return.
- 5/5
Yes. Very courteous
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 4/5
A
- 4/5
Clean room, parking was easy
- 5/5
Friendly efficient staff, fast check-in, housekeeping was quiet
- 4/5
Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. Condition was ok for an older hotel and parking lot was full a lot
- 3/5
Asked for maid service, never received it. Was told they were to busy. Worked a 12 hour day to no toilet paper or towels…. Had to bug front desk late at night… not ideal
- 2/5
Very noisy, I was not offered alternative. Heating/Cooling is archaic and hard to work. Either too hot or too cold. The linens are lumpy, as are the pillows. This is twice as expensive as where I usually stay, and not half as nice. The staff were wonderful, not their fault the hotel is not well maintained.
- 3/5
Parking was free. Condition and appearance of hotel very different from image on hotels.com
- 4/5
Nice hotel, very quiet, comfortable
- 4/5
Room is a bit small fridge on desk so hard to use your computer. Bathroom ok but no counter space to put your bath stuff on no dryer. Bare bones. D
- 5/5
Check in and out was friendly and quick. We would stay again.
- 5/5
It was perfect for what we needed. Room was clean beds were comfortable.
- 3/5
Disappointed with balcony, not a balcony at all.
- 4/5
Overall it was great, fast check in, easy parking. I just had one loud guest who kept talking loud around midnight. My window was facing UHaul so I just hear people starting up the trucks.
- 5/5
Everything was fine
- 3/5
They used rubber carpet inside the room - looked dirty and uncomfortable to step in during the hot day/nighg
- 3/5
The room was clean but the hotel seems very old and underconstruction
- 4/5
clean and quiet parking in rear a plus
- 5/5
Nice rooms Good breakfast!
- 4/5
I was just there quickly, got there checked in and left at 5AM. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable. Again, I wasn't there long enough to give a full opinion. I would stay again, it was the cheapest price in the area
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and let me check in early.
- 5/5
Great service
- 3/5
The bathroom was not especially nice. The bathtub was nasty and needed to be updated. The floor was sticky, and the toilet was not cleaned around the bottom.
- 5/5
Good price
- 4/5
Nice stay and affordable with continental breakfast. Will be staying here again.
- 4/5
Attended a concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre and then stayed at Hotel Vue for 1 night. Very convenient to the venue using Uber, and our room was very clean. Good value for the money. We would definitely stay again the next time we get concert tix for Shoreline!
- 5/5
Flat out my favorite hotel in Mountain View :)
- 5/5
Stop asking
- 4/5
Reasonable price for San Jose . Convinient location . Clean but could use some updates. Fresh paint etc
- 5/5
Fantastic Staff and great room.
- 3/5
While clean and tidy, building is rundown and in need of facelift, e.g. wallpaper peeling, no stopper in bathtub. Staff were good: pleasant and efficient. Room was quiet. Courtesy breakfast was adequate.
- 5/5
It was a good stay the only problem was they got confused and didn’t register my check-in so they called me early in the morning to ask if I had checked in, which I did.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 3/5
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were clean but they desperately need updated. The furniture needs to be replaced and the carpet had burn marks in them.
- 5/5
Not bad.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 4/5
Room shower was out of order but service and replacement room was fine
- 4/5
We had attended a concert at the Shoreline amphitheatre
- 1/5
Would never stay here again and I certainly would warn a loved one to not stay here either if they were to even consider it. Nothing about this place felt legit or safe.
- 2/5
This place is extremely run down and does not look like the pictures on the website. It is extremely old and smells like a cheap motel
- 5/5
This place was wonderful. It’s a great modern, quiet, and clean place.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Was a nice and clean place
- 5/5
Easy check in
- 3/5
they have a good photographer. shower was kind of disgusting had to ask the front desk to turn water off. had to ask front desk to place a privacy placard on the door as there wasn't one. the desk had a small refrigerator on it. carpet is old and musky. bed and sheets were fine. breakfast was what you would expect and was ok. parking was easy. close to lots of stuff.
- 4/5
It was quit. I appreciated the bathroom and the toiletries available
- 5/5
Fast check in
- 1/5
Rm 322 Bathroom had huge window with broken curtains that people can see in truck was stolen from the parking lot last night. Asked if the property towed it or something front desk called the mgr no towe happened and asked if they can review the footage and they said they need a technician to do it which makes me think the cameras don’t work on the property channels are garbage which ain’t a big deal but had a horrible experience.
- 3/5
Honestly, the hotel looks nice. But it does not deserve the VIP status. The TV didn’t work the first night we stayed. The reception didn’t state the benefits we had for our stay until we checked out.
- 3/5
This is a motel, not hotel quality. Not worth the price
- 4/5
Property was good rooms were clean no problems staying here. Would recommend to stay here to other people.
- 2/5
It was ok for its price but basically a motel that has better bed but not the cleanest around the curtains and air condition. The rest of the room was ok.
- 5/5
I really like this place in the continental breakfast helps
- 2/5
Noisy neighborhood and totally not a boutique
- 3/5
The hotel was easy to find, the grounds were clean, inside was clean, and the room was clean. The bed was ok. It was not as comfortable as it looked, and the sheets were scratchy. The pillows were not thick enough. The complimentary breakfast provided was simple, make your own waffles, oatmeal, bagels, bread, bananas, juice, coffee and water. The staff we encountered were wonderful, fast and efficient.
- 5/5
Quiet and clean
- 5/5
Just a great place to stay, feels like home
- 5/5
Overall, the hotels are good. It’s just the windows that don’t have covers. The TV doesn’t turn on. You have to have a certain code.
- 5/5
The Hotel Vue is always great. I’ve been staying there since 2016. It is an excellent centralized location to Mountain View Caltrain and plenty of stores and restaurants.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
great staff
- 1/5
This property is in urgent need for renovation. It is old and smelly. Lots of things were not working in the room. Molds in the shower area.. I totally regret my stay here. Will not recommend at all.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 4/5
The property was close to Stanford University hospital.
- 4/5
Clean
- 1/5
Room was outdated. Furniture is old and beaten up. Carpet dirty. Bathroom is very small and needed some repairs to tub and door.
- 5/5
Its my second home, staff is great. They need to switch out treats.
- 2/5
Building is aging, no attention to detail, dusty surface areas
- 3/5
Staff is extremely kind and courteous. The property itself is OLD. Nothing wrong and it was clean but this property is akin to. Motel 6.
- 2/5
Just Toss what is stained.
- 5/5
Great spot
- 4/5
Has small gym, free breakfast, and close to restaurants and 20 minutes to Stanford University.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Like it. Will stay again next time in the area.
- 5/5
I first booked for 3 nights and then decided to extend 4 more nights. Very happy with the stay. Staffs are all very nice and welcoming. Worth the money.
- 4/5
Very nice property and amazing customer service.
- 5/5
Good hotel
- 5/5
I have no complaints.. they have always been there .. nothing bad to say
- 3/5
Labeled as a “Boutique Hotel” I was expecting a place where the rooms had been upgraded. It was dark and the ac was in the wall and noisy. The included breakfast was kinda funny. It hardly had anything. Any good photographer can make anything look better than I actually looks.
- 3/5
Interesting that you assume we did not like it. It was fine. It was close to the street, but we had a room in the back that was quiet. The staff in the morning was very friendly, and welcoming. They have a nice breakfast spot and they were one of the few places we could stay during Stanford graduation weekend. We are grateful we could find beds!
- 2/5
The place is old.The elevator smells bad.Although the personnel were friendly the room’s bedding looked and felt unwashed. They seemed to reuse dirty linen and beddings.Overall the hotel does not deserve any recommendations. The hotel sucks.Bigtime!
- 5/5
Very quite
- 2/5
The whole property needs to be remodeled with up to date amenities.
- 5/5
good
- 5/5
Shopping stores close by within walking distance as well as few places to go eat without the need of transportation.. in my opinion it was quiet easy parking and friendly staff
- 5/5
Always friendly nothing bad to say about it
- 4/5
Just a place to crash
- 4/5
Room is big. Good breakfast.

- 5/5
The room rate and its quality of of this hotel are OK
- 4/5
I only stayed for one night 8:30pm to 9:00am.
- 2/5
It just felt gross. Very unkept and very expensive when I stayed there. Slept in my clothes as it just seemed dirty.
- 5/5
Everything Ok
- 4/5
It was ok, needs some upgrades
- 5/5
Customer service

The property is in a great are in Mt.View. Castro street is close, and the staff is excellent!!
- 5/5

- 1/5
In n Out across the street was nice but the kind of guests that are there were questionable.
- 4/5
Breakfast needs to improve it.
- 5/5
