    Room was lovely with a balcony, though if possible ask for one that's not on the first floor, where what you see is the pool. The Harbor view from upper floors is beautiful. Daily resort fee covers the usual, but they also provide a free shuttle into town which was so worth it and ice cream treats daily.

    We stayed on the beach club side which was wonderful. Room was great. Very clean room and hotel. Wonderful view. The disappoinment was the only breakfast option was buffet and was $25 a person. Dinner, the food and drink all great however they are under staffed therefore slow service. The people working there really had to hustle. It did have an outside bar and pool side service, though a very limited menu during the week. The people working there were exceptional I have to say.

    Beautiful room, spacious, great pools and hot tub, only downside was the fish house on the property was closed for renovation and the upstairs bar was ill equipped with limited staff, though the 2 staff members working were friendly and worked well under the pressure of many guests.

    One of our favorite amenities was the complimentary shuttle to downtown Charleston. It made exploring the city so easy and convenient without having to worry about parking or traffic. From the friendly staff to the outstanding accommodations, every part of our stay exceeded our expectations. We loved every minute of our visit and can't wait to come back. Highly recommend Charleston Harbor Beach Club for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable Charleston getaway!

    This was the perfect location for a long weekend in Charleston. The rooms were large and comfortable. The pools were amazing and warm. It was a quick free shuttle ride to downtown and a short drive to the beach for the day. We only ate at the hotel once choosing to head downtown for dinner or elsewhere for breakfast to avoid the $25 buffet charge. We were there on a holiday weekend and even though it was busy the crowds were never an issue at the pools and the hotel was very quiet. I would recommend staying here and would definitely come back,

    The location is absolutely fantastic for a visit to Charleston. You can easily visit downtown for sightseeing and shopping, but you can also get away and hang in a resort like setting. The property is showing significant signs of wear and could use a refresh. The mechanicals are also very loud and somewhat don’t do a great job maintaining the temperature. All said, I would still probably give it a 3-4 rating if it weren’t for the staff. With the exception of the shuttle driver and one concierge, all of the other staff members encountered were rude, dismissive, and not at all helpful. We don’t expect much when we travel, and are willing to overlook most issues if the service is good. Unfortunately, the staff at The Beach Club make it hard to overlook anything.

    If your planning on visiting the Charleston area and want a really nice resort style hotel then this is the perfect place. We visited for a week and it is in a really nice area with everything just a few miles away. It’s in Mount Pleasant not Charleston but the historic district is right across the river and you can get there by water taxi or the resort has a van that runs all day long into the night for free and it’s only a ten minute ride or just drive yourself there’s plenty of parking at reasonable prices and it’s a very walkable historic district.

    Resort was in a great location. Room was beautiful. Pools and pool bars were great. View was outstanding. Hot water for showers were a problem. Towels were worn out. I never expected to complain about electricity, but the toilet is in a separate water closet and the only way to turn on the light was by turning on the room master switch that lit up the main room. I enjoyed my stay but the $40/day amenity charge seamed an unjustified. I was also charged for failure to return a pool towel that I was carful to return. That was a cheap shot and felt like a scam charge. I would consider staying here again but would be more aware. The property also experienced a plumbing flood that affected my floor but thankfully not my room. I wish I could shower this resorts with accolades because the potential for 5 star service was conceivable but was unfortunately not delivered. P.s. the main resort restaurant Fish House. was very mediocre. Service was amateur, no ambience, food ok, the desert special was sold out at 6:00pm. There are so many great options close by, I recommend going eating elsewhere

    We did not have breakfast on the property, we were up early and off touring. The room was beautiful, clean and bright. The bathroom was big, bright and the addition of the make up mirror was wonderful. Our only complaint was we did have one meal at the Fish House, the food was ok but the table had small slits in it and the amount of dried food that was caked in between the slats was gross, it turned us off of eating any further meals on the property.

    The hotel is average it looks nice but lacks the basics. For example it requires 3 switches to turn on one light in the bathroom. The TV only has two channels that come in clear and the parking lot lights are mostly non working.if you bring these things to stay staff The only thing they say is they "don't know" The staff are more geared toward supporting locals and rude to guests. For the cost stay elsewhere.

    I enjoyed my stay, however, it was a bit inconvenient on Friday night to find something to eat for dinner. A wedding party had the entire pool bar exclusive to them, the Fish House was only accepting reservations, their bar upstairs was closed. All that was available was the band event with food trucks which I was forced to attend but ultimately did not want to go to by myself! I ended up getting tacos to go which they did not have the proper "to go" items to cover the food to walk back to hotel. Just saying it was like guests were forced to go to that band party to eat! I would let the future guests checking in know that your Friday's will be dedicated to that event so they can make reservations and plan ahead.

    Stay was amazing. Absolute dream...until I got home and looked at my credit card bill. Extra $255 in "amenity charges" for pool/jacuzzi use, access to a shuttle (that we never used), etc. You'd think for $500 a night they could afford to have the jacuzzi/pool be included in the price, charge separately if you want to use the shuttle. Apparently it's in the fine print in the registration paperwork, so be sure to learn from my mistake and read their lengthy check in paperwork. FYI: if you take more than 1 towel out of the bin at a time for the pool, they try to say when you check out that you didn't return the pool towels. So not happy at all about these things. But other than that place was great.

    Pool was a little cold but it was beautiful and there was a smaller one that was warmer. Hot tub was a little noisy with the pipes or something but it was still nice and hot. Had some drinks at the bar which were fine had a hamburger that was delicious. Our room was beautiful and had a very spacious bathroom and bathtub. Had a beautiful view of the harbor. We were celebrating our anniversary and this place did not disappoint! Big plus was a shuttle running into downtown Charleston and they had a great coffee machine with different coffees in the lobby which we would have every morning and evening. I cannot wait to return to this Resort we had an amazing time!

    Beautiful hotel with great staff! The pools were great (close at 9 pm. I wish they stayed open later).     As you enter the main doors to the reception hall area you are greeted with incredibly beautiful decor and friendly staff. The outdoor areas facing the pool/harbor are equally as beautiful and luxurious. I did have a few questions/issues about the A/C controller, light switches (there is a master switch that should be labeled), slider door to the balcony, hot water availability in my room but with a call to the front desk each time, someone was dispatched immediately to answer/resolve my concerns/questions. My one (negative) surprise was that there is not a restaurant (for breakfast) in the building itself...however, the Fish House restaurant next door has a nice buffet breakfast that we enjoyed two of our three mornings. The restaurant is in the same resort complex, one building over.

    Wow , this place was absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in room 1308 at the beach club . The room was well appointed and clean. It does take a minute to figure out the lighting . There is a master switch then the rest of the switches are controlled individually with that master switch. The pools were clean and very nice. We did not eat at the restaurant on the property. I will say if youre a ex-pat looking for whole milk for your tea, stop somewhere else before you arrive at the property as they dont carry whole milk. There is a refrigerator in the room but no microwave. There are coffee makers in each room . We will definitely be back to stay again.

    Love this resort. Water Taxi was closed during our stay. I loved the shuttle, pools and restaurants. It was a nice visit from Alaska. I personally wished that laundry was also at the resort and marina. The gym was a decent size. The refillable water jug at the gym had to be refilled frequently during our stay. I scored the amenities a 4 due to requesting the staff to put another water jug in the gym(seemed like it was just an 2 gallon jug) and laundry on the marina.

    Loved the pool area and all the fire pits in the front lawn . The only suggestion I could make, if there is something to mention ,is the shower in our room. It’s too high up and no way to adjust the shower head and water . Otherwise we loved our stay and will definitely be back .

    Checked in on Thursday the 5th of March. Woke up to a flooded bathroom and entryway because a pipe burst. Had to repack and switch rooms after being in limbo a few hours. New room no bathroom lights and the a random 130 am dominoes delivery guy banging on our door waking us up for food that was not ours. No more stays here

    This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was amazing and I was grateful for the fireplace. My only complaint is that the address on hotels.com is the mailing address not property address. The address takes you to a law office. So apple map the name of the property and you will get there. Oh and we wished the spa was open on Saturday.

    I was traveling for business so this was a great change of pace. Beautiful area. Room was beautiful clean and spacious. Convent to the historic part of Charleston. Either drive 15 minutes or take the water taxi across the hourbour. Everything is walkable and safe. Lots of shops and restaurants etc. The hotel has a great massage therapist. The only negative for me personally was the gym really needs updating but is still better than most hotels I will definitely be staying here the next time I’m back in town.

    This place was very pretty but very cold! The heating in the bathroom of the room doesn’t exist! Very cold showers it too forever for the water to warm up don’t suggest going in the winter time .

    One of the classy hotels left in the world!! Every inch of the place was nice & perfect inside out. Huge bathtub in the room bathroom. Perfect for a romantic couple’s trip. We wish we used the advantage of outside pools (which was heated!).

    The room was beautiful and the bathroom (specifically the bathtub!!) was amazing They had 3 pools and a hot tub unfortunately it was to cold during our stay but we’ll definitely be back when it’s warmer Some of the things were in a separate building like the gym. It’s not the worst just mildly inconvenient especially since it was a chilly later in the evening

Our shower also didn’t have hot water for a day which was disappointing, staff was friendly and rooms and facilities all clean but the water issues put a damper on our trip.     We were there in November, so the oil was closed and the hotel was pretty quiet. The staff was just kind of "there". They were OK, but didn't go out of their way to welcome our greet you. The rooms were great and very clean. We didn't eat at the hotel, so we cannot say how the food was. The shuttle drivers were great and very friendly.

    We love the property but we were disappointed. We went over a week during Thanksgiving. None of the restaurants were open, so nowhere to eat or drink for miles, the coffee machine in the lobby even broke. The cleaning staff didn't clean or service the rooms and didn't communicate with the front desk to respect to cleaning. No real serve and the front desk young kids would rather look at their phones and make excuses. We love it here geographically but they aren't interested in customers service or providing ANY food or beverage or premier service at all.

    Room was very comfortable, designed well and our view was fantastic. The pool areas were great, as well as fire pit areas and live music outside the Reel bar. One thing that was frustrating was convenience for food/drinks… no room service or even vending machines… felt very isolated and without many options, particularly since the weather wasn’t good for us and we we could t enjoy the pool, sunsets, water taxi, etc. Staff was hit or miss, but if we could guarantee good weather, we might stay again.

    - WiFi never worked in our room despite calling everyday for 3 days and getting “we’ll take a look at it” with zero follow through - Breakfast was equivalent to what you’d get for free for a budget hotel yet cost $60 for two people - Hot tub is small and about bath water temp - Staff were very clinical and not trained at the level I’d expect at a resort - Marina view isn’t very nice. Looks way better in photos. No beach, no walking path The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable. Just nothing special about this place for the cost. When I (very politely) mentioned at checkout about the WiFi and that I’d appreciate some sort of gesture like a comped breakfast (especially considering how underwhelming and pricey it was) they said “I don’t have the power to do that but I’ll have a manager call you.” It felt dismissive and guess what? It was. Never got a call. We did appreciate the hourly shuttles to downtown Charleston. The driver was very nice and prompt.

    We really enjoyed the property and would suggest staying here vs. Downtown Charston. It’s a quick 10 minute trip over the bridge. Lots of perks here. 2 restaurants and 4 bars on the property. Access to the Patriot museum and water taxi. Very large rooms and bathrooms! My only cons was there are no trashcans available other than main areas. Very odd the lack of trashcans. Also there is no clear smoking policy. My boyfriend is a smoker and always went away from building but there were no smoking sections designated to the guest. So if it’s only in building that’s fine but put it on website. Ohh also good luck figuring out which light switch does what. We had three days and couldn’t figure out how to turn the bathroom lights off.

    I asked the next day about renting a cabana for the day and was told “because the high school students are now back at school, we have no one to service them” what??!!! Housekeeping is from 9-5 and they came to at 4:46 to ask if we wanted it! I had to call down for towels one day and because only every three days the bed sheets get changed, they changed the sheets but left all the pillows on the floor. Not a VIP or 5 star resort. I sent a complaint the 2nd day of arrival (5 day stay) and have yet to hear back!

    Staff was very rude at check in They don’t like when you book through a third party (Expedia) They charged my cc $900 extra after everything was already paid except resort fees which was $286 . Clerk said he had never seen a booking like that. Trip was prepaid through Expedia . Building is very dated and the smell was horrible!

    On the other hand, the shuttle driver was excellent—friendly, helpful, and welcoming, as was the wait staff at the Fish House restaurant. They stood out in contrast to the front desk experience. Overall, while the property itself is beautiful, the front desk team could benefit from more consistent hospitality training to ensure all guests feel equally welcomed and informed.

    The hot tub, a firepit, and the outside shower were all not functioning. In the room the cieling fan and lavatory lights were not working. At check in we were not given the patio room which is what I booked, after I asked she gave us a different room, which was still not the patio room indjcated in the booking. I just didn't feel like going back a second time. Also, I needed to ask about a free drink token that was advirtised on the desk...and wasn't told about the wifi.

    The bathroom was stunning! We were told the restaurant was open until 10pm but at 9pm it was very closed so that was a disappointment. The pool also closed at 9pm. Wish it was open til 11pm, especially during the summer. 9pm seems early. I could have used a nice swim after traveling all day. We absolutely loved our short stay and we will deifnitly go back!

    Great location and resort has potential. First room moldy. Staff seems uninterested and surroundings needs cleaning (plastic, cigarette butts). Seems short staffed. Has the potential to be great.     The ceiling fan creaked loudly, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. More concerning, the room and bathroom showed signs of neglect—mold on the ceiling, stains in the shower stall, and overall poor cleanliness. For our next Charleston visit, we’ll be staying at a different hotel in the area. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these concerns to improve the experience for future guests.

    The property was very nice and the staff was very helpful and nice. I loved the transportation to and from the downtown area. However, I wish there was more dining options on the property. They had three places to eat but hours weren’t the best. The one restaurant only had breakfast buffet, which I wished they had more smaller options you could choose from and not the buffet every day. It rained at some point each day we were there and the tables and chairs were all wet, so you couldn’t sit outside. We went to the rooftop bar for a drink, but couldn’t see anywhere because everything was wet.

    We had a great three night stay at the Beach Club. We stayed in a room on the third floor, overlooking the pool, and it was a great view. The room was clean and spacious, and quiet. We preferred this location with the pool over the downtown hotels. It was an easy drive over to Charleston and away from the business of the city. The restaurant onsite that offers breakfast only offers a daily breakfast buffet (yet online they have a menu noted). The only thing to note is that the ironing board is a half-size, tabletop one. It was challenging to iron nice clothes for going out to dinner, etc.

    And it would take 20 min. I get back 1, still nothing done, I called again, same thing. It wasnt until 2 pm before they showed up, hindering plans for our day. Elevator was missing buttons. The lounge room had a coffee cup in there for 3 days, and weeds growong out of the gutter, and a rusty paddel boat was in the body of water infront of the hotel. Trash was left around the pool. Water prrssure in the shower wss low, and there was a hair in it for my 1st shower. Toilet seat was loose.

    We love this hotel, it’s been our end of summer vacation for 5 years in a row, but this year wasn’t the typical experience. The hotel looks like it’s lacking maintenance to keep it high quality it typically holds with numerous broken or falling apart items. Additionally, the pool was so crowded it wasn’t enjoyable to lounge and unable to relax. We will be looking into other hotels for next summer unfortunately…

    Place is absolutely beautiful but the front desk was not especially welcoming and did not provide any information about the hotel or amenities. There was nothing in the room either so I had to google and research. I had to actually ask where the elevator was after I was given my key. You would expect to be treated with excellent service at a place like this.

    Overall, the property was well kept. Shuttle service was very convenient and drivers were great! Front end staff were polite but wouldn’t say they were overly friendly. Disappointed in the fitness center overall- it was tiny and in the opposite building. Pool service was great once you go their attention but had to track them down. Pool was very clean. Also, would be nice if the hotel had a place to get snacks or small items near the lobby.

    The property is very pretty with a nice view of the harbor. For the price of the accommodation, we were surprised that there isn’t a bell hop or anyone to assist with luggage at the entryway. There are no restaurants or shops in the two hotel buildings, so you have to go outside and into another building. We waited an hour to get our food the first morning at breakfast. Had a dinner reservation, which I cancelled. Did not dine there again, despite the lovely view of the USS Yorktown and the Ravenel Bridge. Had to summon housekeeping twice to have our room made up. The pool was very nice and big. The hot tub was good, too. There’s a crazy machine that you have to touch your room key card to in order to get towels. The towels themselves have RFID technology, so make sure to return them. I don’t know why they have it since the towels are thin and crappy. I’ve had better at HIExpress. Anyway, I won’t stay there again.

    We loved our Stay at this resort. The only issue we had was with parking, as anyone can pay to park in the resort's parking lot for parties and the restaurant. There was a Party at the Point while we were there, and the parking was terrible. To get back to our room in the resort's parking lot, where we had paid a lot of money to stay, was a challenge.

    Check in was a breeze, staff here is AWESOME all the way around! Accommodations were very comfortable and clean. Rooms are showing some wear and maintenance needs to learn to clean BEFORE recaulking, but that's expected in older waterfront lodgings. Friday night was a beach party that was enjoyable. Mostly got away to rest (90 minutes from home), and that's what we did. LOVED watching the storms rolI in on Friday evening. I would stay here again.

    We love The Beach Club, it is our favorite place to stay. The pool area is the very best in Mount Pleasant and Charleston. The staff are always so accommodating and nice. Watching cargo ships pass right in the Harbor never gets old. Thank you again for another fabulous stay!

    The resort is beautiful and the staff were great. The pool and hot tub were pretty and had easy access ( I have mobility issues but had no difficulty with access to the pool or hot tub. There was not much to do at the resort in the evenings. There is a restaurant and bars on the property but not much actual entertainment. Evenings were a little boring. Also, no room service for the amount being charged for the rooms was annoying.

They also had a shuttle service to downtown Charleston that our family loved because we didn’t have to find parking. Dropped us off in the heart of it all. Highly recommend.

    Very impressive large property. The person at check-in was fantastic. It is not close to downtown, but not a negative if you are aware of that. Large enough resort that you would not have to leave the property. Loved the hourly free shuttle to down town. Appreciated the free self parking (close to resort entry), as we had just paid $80/night for parking at our previous hotel.

    5 start resort with no one to help with the luggage. They sell pool membership to resident of Charleston so it’s very busy and the crow is too loud. Spoils the idea of coming to a resort. No parking at certain times of the day because it is opened to everyone to park. Room is nice but needs some deep cleaning.

    This was the second time at this beautiful hotel in less than a year. I would come next time for sure. Lovely room, great decor. Comfy, great coffee machine near the lobby. Charleston its such a beautiful place to visit Front desk at night not the best. Do not explain much. Because I stayed before I knew a lot of amenities from the hotel.

    Great resort! Very clean, staff were great! Water taxi within walking distance and it takes you downtown and other popular destinations within 10-15 minutes. I traveled with my dog and she was welcomed. The property was pet friendly. There’s a private beach area and lots of sitting areas for relaxing some with fire-pits. The only things that could’ve been better is the food at fish house, no in room dining and the advertised spa services weren’t the same. Overall great experience and will visit again!

    Location was excellent. Resort was clean. Room was spacious with a wonderful fireplace and large bathroom with a large tub and walk in shower and double sinks. I was alone so safety is very importabt to me. I felt very safe here. I loved the heated salt water pool and jacuzzi and fire pits. Also, lots of walking trails and docks to walk on and drink in the beauty of Charlesto. Harbot. I am coming back. The lights in the bathroom were always on. They never turned off and they affected my sleep because i am light sensitive.

    Our room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The free shuttle to Charleston and the Marina gift shop on the property were very welcome. The hotel has a very nice veranda and pool area with a lot of places to sit and relax. Easy on-site parking lot with a gated entrance for security. The room was, clean, well-appointed, big bathroom with double sinks and a large tub and walk-in shower. The resort itself was quiet and peaceful. With so many places to sit and relax, it would have been better if there was a lobby bar and restaurant. The room had a refrigerator but no microwave. We wound up with a second floor room facing the marina and although the balcony was big with two chairs and a table, the view was obstructed by the veranda roof below - I really don't think we should have been charged the same price as for similar rooms higher up in the hotel with better views.

    The room was spacious yet cozy. It had a comfortable feel to it and well decorated. We took advantage of the room amenities which met all our needs. We did not utilize the pool due to the seasonal cool temperatures however the pool was inviting (clean, large size, spacious deck area with a tropical feel landscaping). Breakfast was available next door at the resort restaurant and store - the food was delicious, and store had a variety of items to cover things we forgot besides souvenirs. There was plenty of area to walk and enjoy the scenery. The atmosphere is nautical with a hint of elegance. We had a guest next door that smoked which lingered onto our balcony very noticeably.
