Hyatt Place Mount Pleasant Towne Centre

This is me and my family's favorite hotel in this area! Great rooms, great area, love the pool. I wish the pool area was taken care of a little better but it's still a great perk to our trip. Also, showers are nice and hot but lack a good pressure. Definitely made up in other areas though.

I really liked staying at the town center. Close to restaurants and shopping. Close to the beach and not far to Downtown Charleston. The bathroom could use some TLC but on plus side housekeeping came every day. Breakfast was nice. The breakfast hostess was not very pleasant or helpful. Trash cans were full and not emptied. With all that being said I would stay again.

Great experience overall. Awesome location and easy to get in and out. Very clean room and breakfast was honestly fantastic. Only issues we had was that our room window looked straight at the roof top mechanical equipment. Other issue was that the bar apparently was shut down due to possible underage customers. However there is an amazing wine bar just next door that filled the need. Overall, we will be staying here again when we return.

its in an area of a shopping maill resturants,and bar,breakfast not so good, @ 9.30 am coffee pot was empty,no hot water,no plates, breakfast station was dirty, the staff there was not polite, room is clean and spacious, it could do good with a microwave

The room was clean, staff nice, but I was charged three extra charges that left my account in the negative. The extra charges were not mine, and I had paid a month prior. They claimed these charges will be refunded, but I’m still without money and In the negative. Nothing was offered to clear the balance previously paid for this stressful experience or help in advanced. I had to scramble to figure out how I would even pay for gas to get back home or feed three kids without the money that they took.

Coffee supplies weren’t replaced, including used mugs, and one bed wasn’t made. Seems the cleaning staff were likely understaffed to have done such a poor service. The good news is the towels were consistently replaced! Also, the pool was closed when my 12YO son was in there because of high PH levels. I was in the (unclean) pool washroom when the staff person told him to quickly rinse off in the room because it would cause hair loss. My son is now afraid to go into pools. I’m glad they closed the pool for service but could have been more careful with information sharing.

Wonderful stay in mount pleasant shopping center. So many options for food and convenient location to explore the surrounding islands.

Check in was at 3 but there wasnt a clean room available until 3:40. We ended up bear the housekeeping area so it was very loud.

Confusing setup-reception is on the second floor and looks like a snack bar. There was no one at the desk for almost 10 minutes after another guest assured me I was actually at the reception area. Gentleman who did check in was overwhelmed but very nice. The hotel is very noisy. Can hear everything next door and in the hall. Parking was good in the morning and evening but not during the day due to the busy shopping center it is in. That part was great-access to restaurants, shops and movies. Room was clean.

Computers not working at check in and staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Only one person at check in and they were frequently called away from desk. No information given about Wi-Fi at check in and there were issues through our stay. Fire alarm went off around 10pm and hotel evacuated but fire department could not find issue. Bed are very comfortable, rooms are quiet and clean.

Quick and easy process

This place is always a solid choice. The breakfast which is free is one of the best and the staff is extremely nice.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms appeared to be clean but both my husband and myself were bitten multiple times by something in the room. Then, we were overcharged $130.00 for what— I can’t determine yet.

Very nice and great to be

The hotel is located in an outdoor shopping mall with many stores, so if you like shopping, you can't beat the location. A short 10 minute drive to Isle of Palms beach, and 20 minutes to the airport. Shem Creek 5 minute drive, where they have a couple of nice bars on the water. The room and hotel were very clean and well taken care of. They have a breakfast buffet every morning that is very good. Scrambled eggs, make your own waffles, fresh fruit, sausage, bagels, coffee, tea. Lots of tables for seating. Easy check in and check out, and a huge parking garage attached.

We loved the convenience of being planted in the middle of everything. We barely moved the rental car unless we wanted to explore downtown or the beaches. Every morning, we enjoyed a full breakfast at the hotel, and then we would walk outside to the shopping area that surrounded the hotel. Loved the Barnes & Noble, Starbucks, movie theater, and restaurant, all within walking distance. The only con for me was that I picked this hotel due to the VIP status that Expedia offered, and when the room was assigned to us, we had a view of the parking lot rooftop. NO VIEW at all, and this is not VIP status to me. However, I will return to this location.

Check in was easy with the exception of getting in to the building. Parking had plenty of available spaces. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and everyday had a different selection. Check out was also seamless. It was an overall great experience and we will definitely stay there again.

Premium restaurant options for dinner nearby. Moderately priced restaurant choices for lunch. Breakfast was included which was great.

Friendly staff went above and beyond in helping me. I didn’t expect a suite or the free breakfast so that was a nice surprise, I wish we could have spent more than one night there as the location has everything.

Easy check-in. Parking was rough but rooms were great. Clean. Spacious. Great neighborhood. Great breakfast.

Hotel was ok. The pool looked like it had swamp water in it. Front desk personnel was neither friendly or rude just blah. Not very helpful. We had our do not disturb sign out, check out was at 11 and we got a pounding knock on our door at 7:30 asking if we were still in the room. .. There was no way to contact the front desk with any needs as the phone also didn’t work. Will not stay again.

The staff at this location was extremely helpful and friendly; however, the property is dated, and the view from my window was a huge, rusted furnace (or a/c) ductwork structure that blocked anything else.

We had a maintenance issue in our room. There wasn’t a solution that could work. Face it, not everything is always perfect, but that is why you have customer service. When there is an issue rational people wonder how they will make it right. Staff tried to address it. Management backed them up. And the situation was made right.

Nice spacious room, with comfortable bed. Not to mention the delicious and warm buffet breakfast! Can’t wait to revisit!

Good stay

The only thing I didn't care for was the parking situation. Thankful they make you aware of it because, it can be confusing when first arriving. Kudos to the hotel staff which were very pleasant and kind. They made sure all was good with my accommodations and stay.

The room was clean, updated, staff was friendly, and our stay was overall a good experience. I only lowered my rating to 4 stars because the pool was out of commission after our first day, the view from our high floor window was of dumpsters only, and I do not like the frosted glass bathroom door for a family hotel stay. If one person goes to the bathroom in the night, the light is bright enough to wake everyone else up!

However, the TV was less than desirable. I've never had to sign into a system like that and it was very annoying - especially when you had 3 children that wanted to watch TV quickly. Also, the elevator arrow indicated it was going either up or down and would go the opposite direction - unreliable.

Was very comfortable. The lighting in the bathroom was too dark. Was nice staying on the 6th floor and having a view and privacy from the shoppers below.

It was close to everything and shopping was nice and close. If you don't have a car you can walk everywhere around the hotel for nice restaurants and shops. Nice quiet area at night too.

It was a nice location and had a lot to offer around it. It was also very clean inside. The only downfall was the pool was closed for cleaning while we were there

I arrived late in the evening for an early conference the next day. I was very disappointed in the morning to find There was no hot water in my room. Water didn’t get above Luke warm. I attempted to run the shower for 10 min before, and it never got hot. Informed front desk upon check out and was told “you need to let it run a bit in the mornings, 15 min usually.” I told him I did and no hot water, he said he’d have maintenance look into it. If you know you have a hot water issue at your property FIX IT! Or at least let people know the “tricks” to get it themselves ahead of time.

Breakfast was absolute dog sh?! The worst I’ve ever experienced. Not one but two hotel clearing fire alarms in an hour. An awesome experience after 8 hours on the road and taking the stairs from the 6th floor.

Grate location and facility. My wife and I have decided this will be our go-to place. Only drawback was the breakfast service was often out of things, and slow to refill them.

The early morning desk clerk was not around x2 times; once showed up was very rude.

Wallpaper is peeling off the walls. Treadmill doesn’t work. Eliptical machine still doesn’t work. 2nd treadmill screen doesn’t work. Tv consistently resets when trying to stream. This place has gone downhill. Work out equipment hasn’t been fixed in months

We purchased two nights through Expedia with travelers insurance for our son‘s baseball tournament. Unfortunately, our son contracted Norovirus the night before we were supposed to leave. It was completely out of our control. The hotel refused to reimburse us the night, even though we had purchased the insurance. The bathroom was disgusting. I don’t think it had been cleaned at all. There was hair and soap scum all over the shower. The toilet was just as gross. Between the uncleanliness and unwillingness to help things beyond our control I would not recommend this hotel.

Everything was perfect! Clean room, clean shower, comfy bed, nice place overall! We loved the location and the walking proximity to shops and restaurants. Our room was very spacious! It was lovely and we would definitely stay again! We were on the side where the dumpsters were and it was picked up at 7:00am which woke us up but that was a minor detail in our overall lovely experience!

An unexpected expense

Overall the area was good and conveniently close to main areas in mount pleasant and downtown. The cleaning could be a bit better in the washrooms. Good parking situation that had designated hotel parking.

There's also a ice machine across the hall that comes on every 20 minutes. If you're a lite sleeper I suggest another room. Nice staff, great location.

Love the convenience to shopping and IOP connector. Manager was very friendly. Comforter and one of bath towels were stained. Not a fan of the parking situation, you have to get on an elevator in parking deck then elevator in hotel. Is still a nice hotel!

The breakfast buffet was delicious. The beds were comfortable. Check in and out were easy. Convenient to everything we needed.

I love that it is in the heart of the shopping center. Walkable to all the shops and restaurants. The pool wasn’t working. So that was a bummer. overall beautiful place to stay. Definitely would recommend it to others.

Property was convenient but the hotel itself needs some updating...rooms and bathrooms were tired. Bathroom shower did not drain well and had mold in it, not to mention we ran out of hot water.

We liked the area around the hotel. Very walkable for shopping and dining options. Parking was easy with garage behind hotel. Breakfast was okay at best, but at least real hot prepared food was available.

This is the third time we’re staying here! Even if this time our visit coincided with the once in a generation winter storm, it was still an unforgettable experience. We drove to the nearby Isle of Palms beach for a sunny, snowy day at the beach! Can’t wait to return to this hotel in 2026 if not sooner.
