This hotel is always our choice location. Not only is the accommodations excellent, but the price is always great!

I did not eat breakfast there because it was provided at the conference. From what I observed they had the basics: sausage, eggs, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, grits, yogurt, and sweet pastries (i.e. muffins and danishes). Parking is free and is shared with a restaurant next door. The room and bathroom were clean. I did see a stray hair here or there BUT fine hair sheds and it was just 2-3 strands I found. But the room was comfy and suited my needs.

The breakfast was horrible-nothing was operational, even the juice and the pancake makers were broken! Grits wasn’t even cooked, oatmeal was a nasty lump…nothing was right, and the hotel was packed with hungry people. We all should’ve gotten money credited back because of it

The bed was comfortable. The room was a good size. The check in process was terrible. The person who checked me in wrote on the key card hoilder that my room number was 233. I was carrying my bag which was heavy. I went up to the 2nd floor and walked to one end of the floor to the other. I went back downstairs to the clerk. When I told him there was not a room 233, he seemed puzzled. I had to wait until he finished with another disgruntled customer. He had to look it up and then told me he wrote the number down wrong. It was supposed to be room 223. He did not apologize or did he appear to even care. I got to my room and couldn't turn on the bathroom light. I had to call down to the same clerk who checked me in. Someone came to my room to help. There was a master switch near the front door. I have stayed in hundreds of hotel rooms and have never encountered this. The thermostat did not go below 65 which is still not cool enough for someone who has hot flashed during the night. The breakfast was mediocre. The juice was watered down. The grits and oatmeal were overcooked and stuck to the pot. The potatoes were spicy. There are many people who can not have spicy food so a warning would be nice. They ran out of plain bagels. I did not like that the jelly was in a squirt bottle. I did not want to have to stand at the bar and butter my toast, then have to put jelly on. I prefer to do that seated at my table.

Room was clean and comfortable, Breakfast was great, location was easy to find. Staff was friendly and helpful. We asked desk clerk for a recommendation of a good barbecue restaurant. He suggested Lewis Barbecue downtown. It was phenomenal!! I will definitely book with Holiday Inn Express the next time I travel! Was not expecting additional charges on my stay that were much higher than what was initially quoted on line for the room.

The room sizes in our one bedroom suite were amazing. We also liked the separate controls for the two different rooms- bedroom and living area. The daily cleaning crew was excellent. Despite being told otherwise, there was no coffeemaker or electric kettle in the rooms. We found several items in the room which were missed by the cleaners. Also, we had to pay for parking, which was not expected.

Nothing they advertise coffee 24 hrs but nope and they did not car at 6am no Continental breakfast and still no coffee but they finally got someone in to work on it at 6am i was sold they had a Continental breakfast with eggs sausage n toast and pancakes but they say it's ready at 6 am at 710 am we finally got something to eat. Me being diabetic . I eat at 6am everyday but not this day at holiday in. I will never stay there again

The bed linens and towels were all very clean and the room was well-kept. I particularly liked the fact that the tub spout, shower nozzle and drains were bright and clean and all worked 100% as they should. This was perhaps the first time I found no operational problem with either the drain, the shower head or the fixtures.

Food was adequate. Eggs tasted like powdered eggs with velveta cheese. They only had the option of scrambled. No boiled or any other way. Only sausage, no bacon. There were pastries, toast & bagels or cereals. Not really any healthier options tho.

The staff is super friendly and they accommodated for our needs as we were in town for our dog’s surgery. They helped to make a stressful situation more palatable, and we are grateful. The breakfast and 24-hour coffee/tea access were a real treat also. We love that the place welcomes dogs and cats.

This was a great location in Mt Pleasant, especially if you want to visit Patriots Point and Fort Sumter. Still close to downtown Charleston or the beach, so I would highly recommend if you are looking to do a variety of things while in town. The hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was a pretty typical, decent free hotel breakfast. Parking was easy as well, although the parking lot seemed to share with another hotel and it got a little more crowded at certain times. We went to Orlando’s (right next to the hotel) and Page’s Okra Grill while here and really enjoyed both. I would stay here again.

Breakfast was a nice bonus with a good variety of options to start the day, and everything was fresh and well-stocked. Parking was also very convenient and easy to access, which made coming and going stress-free. Overall, this was a wonderful experience. If you’re planning a trip, this property is a solid choice for comfort, convenience, and great service.

The room was great! It was big and clean. The breakfast was a disappointment. The pancake maker was broken. So was the ice machine. We could hear the people in the room next to ours. The machines in the fitness center were easy to use and clean.

The location, the front desk person was warm and genuinely friendly. The room was large and clean. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. Fix these situations and this hotel will have a A+. They took the coffee makers out of the room. The hair dryer needs to be cleaned. The body wash pump wasn’t working. The ice maker wasn’t working which seems to be a problem everywhere we go. The hallway carpets were not vacuumed well. There were a pile of towels at someone’s door for longer than what seemed normal after 5:00p.m.

The hotel was clean, staff not very helpful on check in. This hotel is very difficult to find, the address and the hotel are on different streets No telephone number was provided to help us find the place. We spent an hour in heavy traffic locating the hotel. The breakfast was marginal, the staff ran out of several food items one of which is my wife's favorite. Parking was very easy and a pass was provided for multiple night stays. I would say that this stay was a disappointment.

Did not receive the room I booked. Was told by the property that when booking via a third party (LIKE THIS ONE), they just assign an available room and there’s no guarantees.

Allowed an early check-in about an hour and a half ahead of time. Hallway floors were dirty when we first were heading to our room. They put us in a room with two queens when we had booked a room with one king, without telling us, so when we got to the room after early check-in, we just didn’t have the desire or energy to say anything. Breakfast was subpar: the main options were largely unappealing, the pancake maker (and ice machine) was broken the whole time, and there was visible mold on the bread.

The breakfast day 1 was not that good and the pancake machine had a line & kept breaking. The coffee was one of the best though. Day 2, no breakfast foods except a couple pieces of toast and some sausage! It was unacceptable. they said their truck broke down & the manager was going to get something but this was 8 am & we had to leave by 9. Again, I informed the staff & there was no solution. I would never stay here again. very disappointed!

Staff is incompetent. Screwed up check in. Later that night, GM knocks on our door saying we aren’t checked in. I figured out staff had it under my dads name who is deceased. Then they needed an updated credit card. I’m says my husband would provide the following morning. NO ON WAS AT THE FRONT DESK FOR AT LEAST 15 minutes. We had to catch our uber. Upon returning, THEY LOCKED US OUT OF OUR ROOM! It was their fault we couldn’t provide the credit card not to mention we were staying five days and they already screwed up and greatly inconvenienced us knocking on our door and calling the room multiple times. Horrible experience and customer service.

The rooms were clean, the staff were pretty good. Breakfast was good wish they had jelly out when I saw that they didn’t have jelly I was going to make a sausage and egg biscuit with mustard, the packs of mustard was expired. Stayed for two nights and did not get great sleep. The room was hot because the A/C kept freezing up, the shower water stayed really hot (no matter how cold we had it). Whoever was in the room next to us kept hitting the wall around 2:00 a.m. both nights, slamming doors, talking as loud as they could. Strange person dressed all in black with hood over his head walking into the hotel trying to open doors (we heard the front desk say that he didn’t belong in the hotel). This has been the same hotel we used every time when go to Mount Pleasant/Charleston for years, but after this visit we will be seeking somewhere else.

Great location between beach and downtown. The breakfast was an appreciated perk. The pool isn’t heated so we weren’t able to use it, but we did sit outside and enjoyed the courtyard. It’s an easy walk to several restaurants. Comfortable beds, clean, maintained, and easy check-in. Unfortunately, they charge a daily parking fee.

Besides, I find it unacceptable to still have plastic cups, forks, knives, spoons and plates for breakfast. This is a real waste.

There’s not much parking close by. Rooms were clean staff acted as if they were bothered to let me in after 10 due to me sending my room key in with my wife and kids and finding a parking spot. No prior notice of having to have a key to get in after 10 p.m. Checking out 3 staff members were talking at the main desk and never acknowledged I was there, so I just walked off and helped myself to what was needed.

My lower rating is due to when I booked, I was told the Dog fee would be $50. My confirmation email said the Dog fee was $50 But the hotel charged $65. I was very disappointed as I felt I had contracted for one price and then was up charged. There was no negotiation with the hotel staff on this. I was told that “someone” needs to change amount on the confirmation letter and on the website…but they would not honor the price.

From the walkup to the room everything was modern and clean. Comfortable beds and a steady HVAC system. I like to run the fan in the "on" mode and this one lulled me to sleep. Staff was super helpful in a southern relaxed pace. Definitely a repeat stay for our next trip.

It was a great experience! Front desk staff was very polite and gave all the required info! Room was very clean and we liked it. Room had all the required furniture and very nice look. Location of hotel is perfect! Morning breakfast was very nice and there were multiple options to eat.

Breakfast was horrible and serving staff were beyond frustrated and rude on our first morning (Nov 23). The lady on the 24th was nice but nonetheless the food was horrible. We did like the gluten free options but the other items were subpar. The food was completely empty by 8:40 and the fruit was rotten. The cleaning ladies were very nice as well as the woman who checked us in, the rest of the front desk were frustrated with their jobs. Bedding and towels were clean but the bathroom was not. Overall below average stay and would not return to a Holiday Inn in this area.

Staff were professional, welcoming and ready to help! Breakfast has many options, with bread individually wrapped! Gluten free items were delicious! Close to many restaurants and shopping.

The room was dirty and missing a few towels. Another issue there wasnt a coffee maker in the room. But the absolute worse thing is the fact that you are using sheets that feel like plastic on lovely pillow -top beds. They were so uncomfortable & crunch when you move. I barely slept at all! The breakfast was lacking as well.

Staff when checking in was pleasant and made suggestions for dinner.

Location was great—short drive to downtown Charleston and to the beaches, and Shem Creek in Mt Pleasant was adorable. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lacking. No fruit; 1 working coffee maker that brewed individual cups, so it took forever to get just one cup with the line of people waiting; service was really slow to refill things.

The room was clean and tidy. The only thing was down the hallway there was rooms with dirty towels left outside their front doors. Also, the breakfast area was clean but the ladies in the back were not keeping the food or coffee stocked. And if you mention to them that the coffee pot was empty or the bacon was empty, she smiles and that is it. She took forever to refill anything and you can hear them chitchatting about their personal life. They were not doing their job to refill the food or coffee.

The room was a great size. Wish there was a bigger fridge with a freezer. Says the hotel was newly renovated, but the couch was uncomfortable.

In town for a family wedding. Had a perfect stay at this location.

Seems like someone had smoked before us and then stuff tried to clean and wash. So we with two little kids had terrible smell in the room.

We ordered the pillows after our stay online because they were so amazing! The bed was super comfortable and the little pizza bar next door was delicious

We had a king room which was very nice except te toilet was so low almost made for a child.

We stayed 3 nights and the staff make this hotel wonderful! Every time you enter the door no matter what time someone is welcoming you in and smiling! I wish I could remember the name of the lady on the desk when we checked in. She was just amazing!! The only complaint I could possibly have is that the hallway floor was not vacuumed during our stay. There was a couple piles of black lint and scattered pieces of tiny white paper down the length of the hallway. The same stuff was there when we arrived and still there when we checked out. And the bath tub faucet has the hot and cold water mixed up so you have to figure that out or get a Luke warm shower. Our room itself was very clean & cleaned daily during our stay. We would totally stay here again.

When taking this issue to staff, we were told it’s “normal”. Definitely a health and safety concern.

We had a great experience. The free floats and cookies were an awesome touch!

I was told when I called a month prior to our stay that we would have an adjoining room per my request. Not only was this not the case we were assigned rooms in two different floors. I was also told when I called that there was a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Again not the case.

Good service for the price. Holiday Inn & Suites never fails.

This is a nice property, 10 10-minute drive to Kings Street. If you are looking for a bit more reasonable stay close to Charleston downtown, this will do.

The hot breakfast was wonderful. Offer eggs, choice of 2 meats, hot oatmeal, fresh pancakes, fruit and full bread selections. Staff was so friendly.

From friendly check-in to check-out we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Rooms were okay, the pullout bed was pretty old and the mattress could be replaced. The main hotel room door did not fully seal underneath so we had to use a towel to block out the noise and light from the hallway.

We loved the stay. The place was clean and quiet. The complimentary foods were delicious!

The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable and bathroom was well appointed. The only drawback was there was only a light filtering shade on the window. No drapes or room darkening blind, so the sun came right in the room at 6am. The breakfast offerings were very tasty, especially the omelet. Overall, a great stay!

The staff were friendly and helpful. Very convenient, quick drive over to downtown Charleston. Aside from the travel baseball teams taking over the pool very evening the property was quiet and peaceful. Definitely would stay here again.

Wonderful stay.

Staff was great and the room itself was nice and clean. They need more parking around the property but everything else was great.

We had reserved a 1 bedroom suite with a king bed, but when we checked in they put us in a standard room with 2 queens. We went back to tell them that they put us in the wrong room, so they switched us to a standard room with a king bed, but still not the 1 bedroom suite that we had booked. Again, we had to go to the front desk. They were doing everything they could to not give us the suite that we had booked and paid for. After demanding the suite that we had booked, they finally put us in the correct room. I’m not sure why there was a problem putting us in the room that we had booked months in advance. Once we had the right room, the place was great with no complaints at all. We’re just confused about the blatant switch-a-roo of the room at check-in.

At check in we were asked for a CC for incidentals. This is standard at most hotels. what happened next is not! My card had a hold put on it for the total amount of the stay all though the room had already been paid for in full prior to arrival. I made the hotel aware of the mistake and was told that it would be taken care of and charges removed. instead the charges went through and I am currently out an additional 750 dollars until I cant get resoluion.

The breakfast was basic and that was good. There were options away from eggs. The breakfast staff are very courteous and helpful. It's a quick on and off location. Parking wasn't an issue. All in all, I would highly recommend this location.

Very convenient location to downtown Charleston at a reasonable price. The hotel is fairly new and in good condition. Unfortunately, we found the bed uncomfortable as the sheets were polyester, which holds heat and that’s not a plus in Charleston’s steamy weather. The AC unit blasted cold air, but the fan speed wasn’t adjustable and that made it difficult to keep a steady, comfortable temperature in the room.

We had an excellent stay in a two-bedroom suite. It was very spacious, quiet, and well-kept. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The accommodations were excellent. The breakfast was better than most of the hotels I have stayed with. There were 5 family members in 2 different rooms & we were all very pleased.

They have a great morning breakfast. ( 2 choices of eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal and Cinnamon Rolls.) Easy drive to Charleston or getting a ride share service.

Couldn't get no full room service after being there two days an even after third day still no service

Great stay for a few days! Very clean, comfortable bed (sheets & duvet were amazing!), friendly staff. Breakfast was fresh each morning, choice of hot food- eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes and other items such as fruit, yogurt, bagels. And of course hot coffee! Convenient location as we could drive right over the bridge & be in downtown Charleston within a few minutes. Also close to sites - we took the Ft. Sumter tour (highly recommend) and also a short drive to Isle of Palms, which was beautiful! Lots of wonderful restaurants all within close proximity to hotel. If you’re a foodie…you MUST visit Charleston/Mt. Pleasant!!!

Stayed here due their access to the Plantations and other birding site that interested us. Only complaint I'll make is parking can be dicey.

We can hear some door opening and closing noises but great area. Super easy to get into Charleston. Very clean comfortable and good breakfast.

Overall, the hotel was good. The staff was very nice, it was well maintained & clean. The breakfast wasn't the best with watery eggs & greasy bacon or sausage. Also, they ran out of fruit quite often. The biscuits were good.

Really one of the best Holiday Inn stays we had. My only complaint on this visit was that the air conditioning in the room was really loud and uncomfortable.

I was greeted by name upon entering and leaving. Housekeeping was complete and quiet.

Great property and a beautiful area conveniently located near everything

Super close to everything - 15 min from the beach, 15 min to Charleston

We enjoyed a near week-long stay at this location. While we didn't use the continental breakfast much, it was actually one of the better ones I have seen with options such as warm cinnamon rolls, DIY pancakes, omelets, scrambled eggs, bacon, eggs, etc. We received housekeeping daily and were happy with everything. Front desk staff was fairly nice in all hours of the day. The location was also very convenient for if we wanted to stay in Mt. Pleasant, go to downtown Charleston, or the various beaches. We would stay here again if we travel here again.
