    As a young woman who frequently travels alone for work, safety and reliability are extremely important when choosing accommodations. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because it advertised late check-in availability, as I wasn't arriving until after 10 PM. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I was informed that the hotel was overbooked and that there was no room available for me despite having a confirmed reservation through Expedia. The employee at the front desk was rude, dismissive, and offered no apology or assistance in finding an alternative solution. Being turned away at 10 PM in an unfamiliar area with nowhere to stay was both stressful and unacceptable. To make matters worse, I still have not received a refund for the reservation. The hotel itself may have been perfectly fine, but the way this situation was handled left a very negative impression. A simple apology, some empathy, or assistance in finding alternative accommodations could have made a significant difference. Based on this experience, I would not choose to stay here again, and I am also hesitant to use Expedia in the future.

    Staff very nice and check in and out perfect. Only issue I had was that I saw a dead roach or two but I know that people can bring them as well so it could be from them putting out pesticides to get rid of them. Overall good spot and close to everything.

    The only thing I can say positive about this hotel was that the bed was clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff were very, very nice. But my room was straight up dirty. The floor had food particles everywhere like it had not been swept and/or vacuumed, there was still toothpaste, residue all over the sink and the shower was straight up dirty like someone had been doing construction took a shower and they did not clean up. I question if my room has actually been cleaned from the previous person. I would not stay here again.

    First and most important, this place is CLEAN. Our room was clean, the foyer. It felt like they were trying their best to make sure guests are comfortable. The staff is nice. And the location seemed safe. It was even within walking distance to a few restaurants. I would absolutely stay here again if I was looking for a budget friendly hotel. That is what you are getting. Clean, comfortable, affordable. The breakfast was just okay. We don’t depend on this to feed us, but my son is so used to a continental breakfast if it’s included that he was very sad about the breakfast options. They note it is grab and go though. I didn’t get the “people live here” sketchy vibe some of these locations have. And also- other than people smoking outside, there was no cigarette smell in the building. (We had an issue with a different ESA and the room reeked of cigarette smoke. So I was genuinely worried about this when I booked it.) The biggest issue we had was our door had to be pulled shut to latch and it was hard to remember that.

    Experience was horrible! Room was not clean to begin with but then even though they checked me into my room and gave me a key while I was out at a graduation they packed up all of my belongings in trash bags, cracking my iPad in the process and took them downstairs. When they took my things back to the room I’m unsure why they even entered the room to begin with because nothing was touched aside from all of my things being moved out. The pictures are not an example of what the rooms actually look or smell like.

THE MOTEL HAD TRACES OF BED BUGS, THE MICROWAVE DOOR WAS HANGING, THE CLOSET DOOR WAS BROKE, NO DISHES WHAT SO EVER FOR A FULL KITCHEN, HAD TO MOP AND SWEEP THE FLOORS THE WHOLE TIME AND NO TOWELS OR WASH CLOTHS!     The room was clean (we could smell it when we walked in) and the staff was fabulous. My husband found a cockroach in the bathroom, but that was it. Compared to the prices of other hotels in Mount Pleasant, it was probably the least expensive, but we wouldn’t stay again because of the lack of amenities.

    The room was not as clean as it should have been. Stains behind and on toilet , tub has some stains. The toilet lid was not screwed in all the way and ended up falling off. The “free breakfast” is a pack of grits , some fruit grain bars and a coffee station. If you’re looking for something to get by that you won’t spend a lot of time in, this is the place for you. Just barely decent facility.

    The room was nice and clean but the noise from the rooms next door was horrible they came in late and very loud. Also the hallway and elevator was so hot it took my breath. They do need to invest in a New Cart the one they have was very hard to use because it kept falling apart. Other than that everything was great. One of the guys who was staying there helped me with the cart.

This time I requested a few handicapped room and when I arrived the had none. They wanted us on the 2nd floor with the elevator still broken. There were no other rooms local so we had to take it. The air stayed hot all night and the bed was terrible.

    Kitchen had a refrigerator and microwave but no ice (just empty ice trays…and there was no ice machine in the entire hotel! No dishes, no utensils, no dish towels …if I was staying multiple nights I would have gad to bring my own.Breakfast was extremely disappointing: coffee, just packets of oatmeal needing hot water, that was all.Room was spartan but clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, disappointing compared to what I’ve experienced in other value oriented hotels.

    Staff was nice. Old motel with only the very basics. If you need a sleep and to do a load of laundry, it’s ok. Mattress and then sheet on a queen bed with one flat pillow per head. Shower didn’t drain correctly in our room. Skip this one unless you’re desperate.

    We had an unfortunate experience here. We retired for the night immediately upon arrival to the room. Twice during the night while toileting, I saw roaches of varying sizes when the light was turned on in the bathroom. In the morning, we found long black hair in the shower and the sink. A clump of the same hair was at the foot of the bed (we had slept in all night);between the sheets. GROSS!!! Expedia representatives were unable to reach hotel management on our behalf. Hotel management has yet to reply to the message I sent through the app.

    It was ok for the one night that my daughter and I needed. The lady at the front desk was very friendly, however, we were on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator working. The property is old and it looks like such but I am thankful and grateful for the beds, pillows, linens, a/c and whatever I miss to mentioned. Thank you for keeping us safe.

    Upon arrival, the hotel did not look very inviting, but since we had a reservation, we decided to check in. Unfortunately, the staff was extremely rude from the start—no eye contact, spoke very quietly, and behaved in an unfriendly manner. He requested documents from my wife and child, which I had never experienced before. When I went to get them from the car, his attitude became even more disrespectful, creating an uncomfortable situation in front of my family and other guests. We felt so unwelcome that we decided to leave and stay elsewhere. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, even before the stay began. Also, Expedia did not refund me.

    My room had a bug infestation, I don't know if it's a weather, beach area, 1st floor issue. I checked in at midnight and didn't want to move. But there were probably 10-15 bugs that I killed throughout the weekend and more just crawling around. I did report it to the front desk. Breakfast is just grab and go oatmeal packets, packaged muffins. The room is not stocked with kitchen ware- even plates, cups, sliverware. They can all be requested from the front desk.

    Nina at the check in desk was amazing. Wish the same could be said for the room. Several generations of cockroaches.gently approached the situation with the front desk. Based on older reviews seems like a recurring issue. Great location. But you get whatnot pay for. The complimentary breakfast is coffee and not much else.

    This is not the kind of place you stay bc you want to stay but more the kind of place you stay bc you NEED to stay. Not for vacationers but perhaps those in a transient housing situation. The rooms are bare boned. No cups, no coffeemaker, nothing- available by request (if they are available). No access to extra pillows or bedding (we were told they are on back order). The mattresses are covered in crunchy plastic that makes sleeping a sauna-like experience paired w the AC that blasts anrctic air every 4-5 minutes then pauses to fill the room w stagnant humidity. There are no privacy curtains, just black out, so you’re pitched into darkness or exposed to all (very uncool if you’re a first floor guest), There may be value in staying here if you plan on staying for a duration as rates nightly drop the longer the stay, but it’s highway robbery for just a night or two. I had far higher expectations having stayed at this chain on two other occasions in different locations. I would not return. *** But the bed linens were freshly laundered and the room was clean.

    We had a late check-in on Friday night. I had called to let them know we would be arriving around 12:30am. The lady on the phone said as long as we arrive before 1:15 am, it will be fine. We arrived at 12:50am. Everything was locked up and there was no one in the front lobby. I used the phone to call and the gentleman on the other line was very kind and helpful. After I gave him our confirmation number, he said someone will be right there to let us in and check us in. We were waiting in the lobby (a guest let us in) and a young man came from the stairway and threw the gate for the front desk up and did not greet us at all. We could tell he was not happy that he had to check us in. We stood there for a good 5 or so minutes before he finally said something to us....he asked for our IDs. For some reason my name wasn't on the reservation. Instead of my name it said "NULL". I told him that is our reservation and he said it was for "the Nulls". I told him it's not and I don't know why my name or any name for that matter wasn't on the reservation. After an 8 hour drive, I wanted to cry. We were very patient with him. If someone works in the hospitality business, they should learn to be hospitable. Every other staff member we encountered was very nice, however, we will not stay there again.

    Location Our AC didn’t work and they didn’t do anything to fix it .. way too uncomfortable in the room. My husband banged on the AC in the middle of the night and it finally came on. Had very little sleep… also I was expecting more for the free breakfast than a pack or grits or oatmeal and some hot water … they didn’t even have juice or milk… very cheap place not worth the money

    To be fair, when you book a $94 Canadian hotel room, what can you reasonably expect? Well I didnt necessarily expect a microwave and carpeting from pre WW2 but alas! The bed also appeared to basically be a pull out but turned out pretty comfy. The carpet is the stuff nightmares are made of but friendly front desk staff, ground floor w windows that open easy parking for my monster truck still equals a win. However, even though I truly love saving $ at all times, I’d prob “splurge” next time and pay the $150-$175 for the Holiday Inn! Good luck out there in the field everyone, godspeed✈️🚗🛫🌍

    It was just okay because it met the barest minimum standards to remain in the premises. Most everyone was super friendly, and the coffee was not bad. I was uncharacteristically compelled to go out in town to purchase disinfectant wipes and wipe down the cabinets with dried on food, and the door jam areas were seriously grungy. The phone receiver was caked with ...something ...you could feel it. The bed was squeaky and we rolled to the center of the bed. The pillows, thank the Lord were nice enough, and had no bad smell. I was the one who made the reservation, I checked us in, presented my DL and credit card. For some reason the front desk then turned her attention to hassle my husband for ID. He presented his military ID and was hassled more to present a different form of ID, like a drivers license. As soon as we got to our room, and went to use the bathroom, the whole door handle came off in my husbands hand. Air conditioner kep cutting off and we kept waking up sweating have to get up and try to get it on again The maintenance was a real nice guy and even changed out the flickering light bulbs.

    The staff at the desk was very nice. However when I got off the elevator smoke was strong. The room smelled like a club on a Sunday morning! It’s 1 AM and I am just trying to breathe. I booked through Expedia and paid them. Got here and they ran my card for an additional $180.80. Now being told that was for incidentals and will be refunded. Will not be staying here again mainly because I can’t breathe it’s so thick with a smokey smell.

    The water in the bathroom tub ran the entire time to the point I could hear it with the door closed. I was scared to cook because the stove looked like it was vintage from the 1950's.     When checking in, Vicky (working the front desk) had arguably the worst attitude i have ever seen. The photos of the room online were not even remotely close to what the room looked like. The entire hotel smelled terrible and the room looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. We left soon after checking in to find another place to stay.

    Check in was fast and easy. Staff was pleasant. The bathroom was dirty. The toilet was dirty and had stains. The shower had clumps of other people’s hair. The furniture also had other people hair and multiple stains. The bed looked clean. Overall very average and happy I was only staying one night.

    Best location and value in Mt. Pleasant, Close to the bridge to downtown, beaches, Patriots Point, Shem Creek, grocery stores and countless dining options. Management and staff consistently do a masterful job of managing an older facility that has full kitchens (including a rangetop) in every room. i’ve been staying here for a good number of years, when i’m in the area, and will contine to do so in the future.

    Great area, full of restaurants and gas stations and shops if you want to buy snacks, staff were all warm and friendly, area was great for waking, lovely place

    Didn’t have our room ready on time, refused to give me any idea of when it would be ready, and when it finally was ready an hour later, no apologies for the inconvenience. No parking available anywhere except with valet which was another $35
