Comfort Suites at Isle Of Palms Connector

Very good place to stay. Very close to the Isle of Palms Beach and right in the middle of some very good local restaurants. The staff was very helpful and polite, room was very clean and surprisingly large also.

Honestly, location only and friendly staff. Beds uncomfortable, sheets were scratchy not soft. Very outdated, torn carpets, mildew in bathrooms, unrepaired holes, an odor throughout the hotel that smelled of Marijuana from the moment you walked in. Amenities limited and sparce. Way over priced for a motel-like feel. We needed a last minute hotel due to our local home renovation. Frankly, I'm shocked this low quality of a hotel was even an option right off the IOP connector.

There is just 1 very small ans slow elevator. The pool area was a complete let down. No lounging chairs, the 2 they had were up against wall broken in half and the only other seating is 2 tables with chairs which were occupied my entire stay. My card was charged 3x for transactions they couldnt explain. They finally convinced me that the charges would fall off. A week later and 2 of the charges havent fell off and show as posted.

The hotel was in a great location but thats the best I can say about it. The hotel seemed dingy, the pool was not very clean, and the room was atrocious. There was water damage throught the bathroom. The door looked like a cheese grater had been taken to it. The same grayer must have been used in the shower because it had rust all over the shower floor in a weird pattern, and to top it off, we entered the bathroom to find a massive cockroach crawling around on the sink top! The front desk staff did quickly call and get our refund approved so that was a plus I guess. Overall 1 out of 10, definitely would not recommend.

On Friday, our room lost water service for a period of time. When the water returned, it only came back to the shower and not the sink. There were also black flecks coming out of the shower water that collected on the tub floor, which raised concerns about water quality and cleanliness. That same day, we returned to our room around noon to find the smoke alarm beeping. Maintenance responded promptly and replaced the unit, explaining that the battery had already been changed earlier in the week. However, at 11:30 that night, the alarm started beeping again. After being unable to get it resolved, we removed it from the ceiling and took it to the front desk ourselves. The bed and pillows were also very uncomfortable. We ended up purchasing pillows during our stay because the ones provided offered little support. Another guest even commented in the elevator that the bed felt like "a boulder in disguise." We understand this is an older property, and age itself is not a problem. However, the overall condition and maintenance of the hotel were not what we expected. The breakfast was decent each morning, and the pool appeared to be enjoyed by other guests. Unfortunately, the maintenance issues, water problems, and lack of comfort outweighed the positives. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel or the room we were assigned.

The furniture was like from the garage sale - old, scrapped, chipped. The fridge didn’t make anything colder than in the room. Our room was near the pool, and it was super noisy up to the midnight. This was the worst stay in my life. We paid $400 for two nights but after the first night we just left the properties, couldn’t stay any longer. We would be happy to get a refund but unfortunately we bought it with nonrefundable option, will NEVER do it again. The stuff was totally unfriendly. Our weekends went down the drain.

Proximity to stores and dining Room smelled like smoke, the elevator needs looked at, breakfast was terrible all 3 days. Staff was withdrawn and not very outgoing.

Convenience to MUSC for surgery and dinner choices that night. Usually very quiet so i can sleep good before and after surgery I love kid sports but trip before my last one the girls brought all their luggage to breakfast and threw them all over the floor. Nowhere for other guests to sit and no way to get to coffee for their stuff scattered in front of it. Never had this problem before

We did appreciate the morning breakfast buffet. The attendant kept it stocked when items ran out. However, the hotel cleaning staff never cleaned our room and we were there five nights. Very frustrating and disappointing since we talked to the front desk about it, but they never resolved the problem.

Had to ask for daily service (towels, tp, making the beds, trash removal). breakfast was good. pool area clean but always out of towels.

The musty odor in the room was unbearable. The building, doors, moulding is very worn. We will not stay here again.

I asked for a handicap accessible room & was told they didn’t have any. There weren’t any grab bars around the tub & nothing on the tub floor to keep you from falling. I was very disappointed & nervous that I would fall or my traveling companion which is 85 years old. She opted to just wipe off than take a chance with falling!

Loved that the hotel is right on the beach. Easy access onto and off the beach from the hotel. Had fantastic weather and the ocean was refreshing. A nice hot tub after rinsing off before dinner was a good way to relax the body. We stayed very active. I would stay there again if I go back.

We stayed here for a few days before checking into a hotel in historic downtown, thinking it would be good to be close to some of the attractions. Honestly, we appreciated the Comfort Suites better. It is a great location, quiet, clean, ample parking, and friendly staff. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Charleston.

The elevators ended up breaking down and were not able to be used for two days (usually not a big deal but we have three kids and tons of luggage). The staff was not very responsive. We asked for a new room key as well had forgotten our in the room when we were carrying something out and the front desk didn’t even check to make sure we said who we were which made us feel extremely unsafe. He also didn’t acknowledge us for a while as he was sitting on his phone. We ended up cutting our trip short because we couldn’t manage staying on more day. We just wouldn’t recommend staying here.

the room was very nice the staff is very helpful even though I didn't use it the continental breakfast look very good. the only downside is the elliptical is partially broken it's been that way for years. it needs a dress to be honest with you though I didn't bring it up to the staff

Location was great. Easy drive to beach at Isle of Palms, shopping and eating. I noticed turning left from property keeps you out of Hwy. 17 traffic and still have access to plenty and easy connections to downtown Charleston and North Charleston. Noise level next door and above me.

Someone threw up in rhe pool and there was no sign to warn others, no one came to clean it until who knows how long after. The fire alarm went off at 7am because a cook burned the food and the elevator broke. Weeds grown over the pool area. Gross and uncomfortable.

The furniture in the room was worn and not in good condition. The bathtub/shower did not hav grab bar. The tub was slick and seemed unsafe. The dining area tables were worn and need to be replaced.

the hotel has filthy carpet, the front desk was not always staffed, i was charged a $24.35 fee for nothing, i never ate any food and they didn't code me on check in and they tried to charge me an early check in fee if $25.00 i called them they never picked up the phone. Then they were going to charge me a late checkout feee even through they told me i could have a late checkout.

Do yourself a FAVOR & find somewhere else to stay in Mt. Pleasant!!!. Outdated building, decor, hallways, rooms & unhelpful staff. Was told at check in time (3pm) to "come back in about half hour" because there were alot of late check outs. Room was outdated with very beat up/damaged furniture. Bathroom was the only room to appear somewhat updated. Refrigerator was broken & maintenance was "gone for the day" & we had to throw our leftovers away in addition to not being able to keep a medication in the frig. Ice machine on our floor was out of ice on 2 occasions. Only 1 very small elevator that was quite slow. Had to keep asking for towels. Upon check out, I wanted to get the managers info to ask about a discount for the 1st night since the frig was broken but staff conveniently didn't have that information & told me to call on Monday after 10am because management wasn't in on the weekends!? BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL.

Facility was clean, but is evident that it is a property that has been there for some time. Rooms had visible patchwork on the walls and ceiling that were painted over. However the stay was pleasant and the location suited my needs. Would certainly stay again.

Upon checking in, the desk clerk asked me to change my request for an ADA room. He tried to convince me to get the regular king room with a sleeper sofa I didn't need. Bathroom floor was nasty. Wallpaper had been patched but was peeling off the wall. The AC was just moving around stale air. The pillows had been sprayed with so much disinfectant it was all you could smell. The bed was very uncomfortable. The morning staff was friendly. The waffles were good at breakfast.

Location is great- very close to Town Ctr and Sullivans. In a cute shopping ctr w food choices available. Bed was pretty comfortable. Sheets were clean. Towels were thick. Room needed a major overhaul. Bathroom was gross. Mold in shower, paint on bottom of tub chipped badly, walls and door dirty and scuffed. The lady that checked us in was unfriendly and also wanted to charge us $25 to check in 30 min early. No thanks. We came back at 4 and luckily another lady was there and was nice to us. Stay on the 3rd floor! There was a group of kids above us on floor 2 that were apparently bowling or pole vaulting at night then back at it at 6:30 the next am. Price was super cheap if price is a concern, but this is why.

Our stay was nice. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was friendly. There was good lighting and the A/C was good. The breakfast was good, with lots of choices and fresh fruit. The only reason I didn't give "excellent" across the board is that the facilities are dated and well-worn. The woodwork is worn and carpets a bit tired. But it was all very clean. So, we were happy to be there and had a good stay! Also, it is right near the Isle of Palms connector so you can go for a nice run to the beach right out the door!

The faucet in our tub needed to be replaced upon our arrival at 5:00 on a Saturday evening, when the maintenance staff had gone for the day. The manager on duty brought someone in after hours to get us up and running. We were grateful!

The room was decently clean however the pull out couch sheets were visibly dirty. The front desk staff was rude at every encounter. Even when asking for an extra pillow and clean sheets it seemed to inconvenience them. But overall it was quiet and the property was tucked away in a nice area.

There was a problem with smoke smell in the bathroom the first morning...possibly someone was smoking in their bathroom near me and it came in through the vents but I did report that and never smelled the cigarette smoke again. The drywall right above the shower head had an odd, opening with rust...I had already reported the smoke issue the day before & a problem with the microwave being on when I entered the room my 2nd or 3rd day so I was not about to let them know their was another thing that I noticed. I was a female and was alone. did not want any problems to arise before I checked out. Not paranoid, just strange things. I felt that if If I reported another issue the annoyed 20 something girl at the front desk, the afternoon I came in and reported the microwave was "on" when I came in after being gone for quite some time, might cause a greater problem for me. The wiring for the microwave plug was definitely faulty and the young lady on her cell phone, airpods, and looking @PC seemed rather annoyed I was bothering her at the front desk. 20 somethings...what can you do. She was probably getting paid to study for college exams. Bless her

We had a marvelous stay with our suite and good breakfast items. Our room was not the suite I booked on Expedia and had to request a move. It was no problem for the desk host to accomodate . The breakfast staff were sweet and provided a variety each day and the cleaning crew stayed busy and were respectful.

The staff was very nice but the hotel was disgusting. The hallways and room smelt like mildew and smoke. I felt like I was going to get robbed in my sleep bc people were running up and down the hallways banging on the walls. I had to call the front desk to see what they could do. I almost checked out in the middle of the night bc I was so uncomfortable. I would have slept in my car. Only giving two star bc of how nice the staff was. Waste of $100…

The price for this hotel was very affordable and we were just as comfortable here as we had been at the $200 /night hotel we had stayed at the night before! The location was in a very nice part of town and we felt very safe. We have been traveling down the eastern seaboard for going on a month and this hotel served great coffee. We appreciated that. Good coffee is a major to us!

First room i was put in- you walk in, you can smell the mold and mildew. The door to the room you have to physically shove shut- obviously there was some sort of water damage in this room at one point- I requested a refund- the front desk told me I had to request it through Hotels.com (it was 10pm) - I then said put me in a non moldy mildew room w a door that locks. I was in another room- this room was not as smelly, but when the AC turned on, you can smell the mildew and mold. Carpets are filthy. Every furniture surface is visibly water damaged, outdated and worn. Bathroom wallpaper was peeling off. Photos online are NOT representative of what this hotel is. This was a terrible experience- so upset and angry about the money spent at this roach motel.

Entry door was beat up- door did not fully fit the doorway- allowing hallway light to enter- Halls beat up- tables in breakfast area badly in need of replacing- lobby spartan and less than welcoming

Couldnt believe you charged us 20 for an early check in at 130 when you had a room available. We are older n after a long drive my husband has demencia n needed to rest. Never charged extra in north myrtle beach at quality inn. Also they are totally updated there n you need to upxate badly !

It was a very good stay. There needs to be a lot of updates to the facility. Good breakfast. Pool needs some repairs and there wasn’t any landscaping performed in the pool area for a long time, very weedy and overgrown vegetation.

The hotel is convenient for me. The breakfast is just average.

1. They charged us additional costs when we arrived and said "Hotels.com did not cover everything." 2. The check-in line was slow. After waiting to be next, the person who left in front of us had not completed the transaction on the the screen. The desk lady asked me to complete it by clicking OK twice. This seemed wrong. The desk lady was not nice and was just wearing a non professional hoodie that was not on brand for the hotel. She also started assisting people from the back on the line who matched her race while the rest of us were forced to wait additional time. It was very noticeable to all in line. 3. Our room lock was wonky and sometimes only worked when we pulled upward with a great deal of force. 4. There were water stains on the ceiling in our room. 5. The elevator was not operational and we were on the third floor.

Everything was great except the first employee I encountered was very rude. I walked in early to see if my room was perhaps ready. I wasn't greeted when I walked in,, had to initiate the interaction and was answered without a smile in monosyllabic answers. I expect better

Great hotel, great location, great breakfast. Stay close to the hotel and enjoy their pool, many restaurants close by as well everything you'd have at home.

So close to Isle of Palms, we really like our locaton, most times were on the island in less than 10 minutes. Great morning breakfasts, always have coffee and hot water for tea, plus a huge container with faucet of ice cold lemon water - great for coming off the beach or from their pool.

The pictures of this hotel are much nicer than the property actually is. Coffee was spilled in the breakfast area and it was 24 hours before anyone bothered to clean it up. Both washing machines were broken and unusable. Pool was supposed to be open until 10:00 each day, but at 9:30 one night a staff member came out and kicked everyone out, stating the pool closed at 9:00. Signs posted around the pool state 10:00 and this is what I was told at check-in. One day during our stay the pool was completely closed for some reason. Why bother offering amenities if the guests cannot use them? The bedding we received for our sofa bed smelled very bad and housekeeping for our room was inconsistent with cleaning. I would not stay here again.

Property seemed ok at first. The rooms were clean but far from updated, lots of paint chips and dated issues. Parking is only in dark, dimly lit areas making the parking area seem unsafe. We got a huge scuff down the side of our rental. The halls and elevator smelled VERY strongly of marijuana We ignored this until we could smell it in our room with a young child. I called the desk staff who tried to tell me it was probably just someone smoking on their balcony. I explained that wasn’t an ok answer but nothing was done. Overall, not the best choice. The positive was ONE desk lady who was amazing and breakfast was good. Look elsewhere for the amount of money spent.

The room was pretty spacious! Shower was great! The elevator takes forever. Had alot of noise from those above and beside us. But overall it was a great place for the price! Very close to the beach and everything.

The only thing we didn’t care for was the bed was hard and when we first arrived and walked into our room the smell of bleach from where they cleaned the bathroom was overwhelming. The furniture in the room could be updated and the lighting could be a ton better but you get what you pay for. It was a great stay for a quick cheap trip for a mini vacay

My room-#335 was not RENOVATED. Website is misleading. While preparing for bed, two large waterbugs went straight under the bed. Front desk staff came and destroyed only of them. The other one got away. Hotel is outdated, dingy, needs lighting 100% booked and unable to relocate to another room. Check out June 22. Should be labeled as a Motel. Choice Hotels, please complete renovations to accommodate future guests.

Comfort suites has always been a nice place for us to stay. Dependable and of course we love the free breakfast.

Nice location, restaurants close by. Good breakfast. Coffee was prepared early early. So that was nice.

Perfect place to stay for credit one stadium events. Approx 15 minutes away! Clean friendly staff and walking distance to several restaurants. Will stay there when going to shows for sure

There was no housecleaning and no sign about requesting it like some hotels are doing. I had at least three different living bugs in the room. Hotel charges a service fee for using Hotel.com

Property needs some updating

The front desk people were nice, can’t speak to the quality of the breakfast but the accommodations themselves were average at best. I stayed in a king room and it was clean, but you could tell where they had done minor renovations and had done a poor job patching holes in the ceilings and walls. There was visible water damage on the ceiling next to the window as well. I also had minor concerns about the security as I stayed next to an exterior door, and while it was supposed to be accessible only with a key card, people kept intentionally leaving it open so anyone could have just walked in. So overall, very average. I would stay there again if I had to, and I definitely got what I paid for. Huge pro is that it’s super close to the IOP connector if you want to be close-ish to the beach.

Pool needs some repairs to coping around the edge, safety hazard

The paint and “wood” was peeling off of the bathroom door, there were red stains on the carpet. Parts of the walls were unpainted where large holes were patched. Pillows were hard and lumpy. Bathroom sink wood border was hanging off.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was just ok. Location is great for going to Isle of Palms.

All was very good, except the mattress on the sofa bed. We had to ask for sheets, and extra sheets since the mattress was not covered with a protector. The front desk clerk was very helpful and her customer service was top notch. Great water pressure for shower, queens beds were comfortable, breakfast was tasty. Overall good experience.

Absolutely nothing negative to say about this property or my stay. Breakfast was good and not rushed at the ending time. The staff always acknowledged me, and they all smiled. It was quiet but has plenty to do in a 5-15 minute walk. Parking is a breeze, and there are many doors to different parts of the lot. The pool was clean and had towels every day. And Isle of Palms is literally a straight shot from the front of the hotel. I will stay here again the next time I visit the area.

Had a good stay. I wish breakfast was out and ready on time. It was past 7am and no hot foods or coffee was ready.

Arrived to find bed bugs under the mattress as well as a bug on the bed next to the pillows. Went down to complain staff was very unhelpful. People behind us had found blood stains on curtains. Awful experience would never recommend a stay here.

Front desk- had three interactions with her where she didn’t provide customer service whatsoever, interactions completely under informational. One interaction she continued to talk on a personal phone the entire time

Great location for access to the beach as well as the concert venue on Daniel Island.

Barely average overall. It's an old property in need of renovation. Table tops feel sticky, carpet in stairwell really bad shape and it smells. Wanted to charge us an extra $20 to check in 25 minutes early but Manager waived fee. Saturday breakfast to be out at 7 and we were leaving town by 7:15. Food didn't get out until 7:15.
