Quality Inn Morton at I-74

We had to do an emergency stay as a family of 4 and it was fast check in the room was clean and I couldn't hear anyone in other rooms. It felt like a relaxing, clean, and safe environment and was at a great cost especially in a pinch.

It was just okay. Rooms were outdated. The hotel could use some curb appeal. I almost booked somewhere else when we pulled it. It was a little scary, motel looking. Once I got in it wasn’t that bad. It’ll do for a one night stay. Anything longer… look elsewhere.

If they still have the small cups for the waffle batter, make sure to use two cups full for each waffle. The breakfast was the best part of the stay. Having loose and stripped out screws attaching the secondary door lock was not confidence inspiring.

Within seconds of an interaction with my (black) husband, the manager threatened to call the police after sternly and aggressively asking “what’s your room #?” Instead of a “good morning, how are you” or “how did you sleep” as you’re getting coffee and wiping sleep out of your eyes, “WHATS YOUR ROOM #, I’m calling the police”… like whaaaaaaaat???? They also keep the fitness center and guests restrooms on the 1st floor locked with a key… are they not for guests?? Do we have to get a key to use the restroom like we are at a slimy gas ration? Can we not be trusted? Haha. So as I’m looking through the door of the fitness room, my very first interaction with the same guy is him sternly and aggressively scream-asking me, “what do you want!?!?” I’m simply not impressed with this guys behavior and it’s unfortunate because it’s a pretty nice and clean hotel. But also, the beds are hard and hurt your back the next day, so basically, don’t stay here.

I liked the location of the hotel.. it was away from businesses and pretty quiet. I also really like the breakfast. Waffles, eggs, cereal, toast, muffins… you name it.. and decent quality also. The meter on the air conditioner/heater was messed up so couldn’t read it. Had to basically guess at it but it wasn’t too difficult to figure out.

For the price, was expecting a better experience. It is a typical low tier budget hotel. Rooms were not clean. Breakfast was horrible. Possible moisture/mold issues in room based on smell. Slept ok. Staff was also ok but could do more to improve the experience overall.

No complaints. Its a fairly cheap hotel. No thrills. Bed and bedding were clean and comfortable. Bathroom needed some extra cleaning. Front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. It was a quiet stay. I'd get a room here again. You get what you pay for the price.

The room was very clean but needed some upkeep. Breakfast was tasty but lacked protein options. All staff was very friendly and bed was comfortable. As clean is most important to me, I will stay here again on future visits.

Parking was great, right outside our main floor room. Room was basically clean. Breakfast was terrible, no meat offered, bad egg patties and the waffle maker didn't make the waffles properly, one half was practically empty. The "sausage" gravy was thin like soup, only sausage flavored, no sausage in it. One flavor of muffin, one flavor of bagel. You got the impression they would just as soon you not eat there. Staff was ok, but not personable at all. Did fulfill requests, but acted like you were interrupting their personal time. We will not stay there again.

The room was small, they didn't give me the type of room that I reserved, parking was OK. The room was reasonably clean, but there was some damage that had received shoddy repairs. At 10:00pm, and manager was in the hall chewing out a staff member loudly, threatening to fire her.

Rusty water rust coming out of the sink faucet dirty stained like very stained towels breakfast was a joke and the receptionist called my room 2 mins after check in to ask if I had more ppl staying in my room then what I booked when we booked with a block so there were other children coming in and out of all the rooms

It was great for a one-night stay. Clean and comfortable. Good parking and location. Man at check in was nice, other staff seemed defeated. Above average for a 100 dollar a night stay. Breakfast waffle was good, basic stuff. Egg patty's and biscuits/gravy pretty gross. Overall fine.

The location was not at all like the pictures. We opted not to stay after we had checked in. We were out the cost of the room but for my family’s comfort and safety we decided to stay at an alternate location as it was not at all what we thought it would be.

Overall the hotel and room were very clean BUT, for some reason, the bathtub and shower tiles/area were very dirty. Needed a little abrasive cleaner with bleach and a good scrub down!

The inside of the drawer had grease stains and crumbs and there was hair still on some of the fresh towels from the last people who used it. Everything else seemed clean and the service was good.

At the end of the day the room was good it was large and clean but they didn’t ever come in to try and clean it in the three days I was there when I walked in there was a ton of attitude from the lady who was more concerned about grabbing my debit card after doubling my price upon arrival from what I had agreed to with Expedia. It seems like it’s pretty easy if the hotel isn’t perfect to at least make for it up at the front lobby but this one went out of her way to make it not pleasant. I made a little bit of small talk and she literally rolled her eyes

Building is quite run down. Bedding was stained, pillows were hard as a rock, no housekeeping offered and appeared to be just barely cleaned between previous guest. Breakfast was the same thing EVERY day and even appeared to be the "leftovers" from the day before! Vending items were outdated and the machine was only 1/2 full. Breakfast hours are not conducive with people on vacation---I don't want to have to set an alarm to ensure I'm in the dining room between 6:30-9:00!

Somewhat outdated in certain areas, but the room seemed to have been painted recently and was clean. The smell outside at night wasn't the greatest, but that is no fault of the hotel.

The room was large and clean. The bathroom was out dated. Breakfast options were extremely limited. The breakfast buffet had bagels and jelly but no peanut butter. Be aware, they don’t change the water jug when empty but refill it with tap water.

The lady at check in was EXTREMELY nice and check in was quick and easy. The price and comfort of the room was excellent as well. The tiles in the bathroom had a lot of mildew which should've been cleaned properly. Some of the smaller towels were not very white. The door frame around the door to outside was banged up and had nails protruding out of the woodwork which was weird. Otherwise the room was great!

One of the light fixtures was broken, the clock radio did not work, there were no filters for the coffee maker, the bathroom was dirty, the receptionist did not speak English clearly and was borderline rude, the breakfast was cheap and tasteless.

Yes hotel is super clean. It’s old but it’s clean and nice!! 😊 Also the beds are super comfortable and it’s quiet! You have a nice clean cold fridge with a little freezer to give your ice packs a re-freeze!! If on the 1st floor you can enter your room on the inside of the hotel or on the outside of the hotel which made it really nice to bring your bags in!!!!! Huge plus only downside is there isn’t a ramp when you use your door to go outside to your car so if your in a wheelchair you have to use the main door unless traveling with an able body companion. However the hotel is really clean and I love that they checked to make sure that you have a legitimate service dog!! I had a really hard time understanding the lady at the front desk she had a really thick accent also I am in a wheelchair and the counter is super high so I couldn’t even see her when she was talking. The thing I didn’t like though was they tried to charge me 2 different times for having my service dog with me but once the front desk verified with the manager on the phone she didn’t charge me and she apologized for that and she said she was new.

Check in was fast and easy, close to a few restaurants. Really enjoyed that there was a door to the inside hallway and a door to the outside so my car was easily accessible.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. There was a part of the door frame to the outside that was coming apart from the wall. This afftected the little security bar on the door. The breakfast options were good. The hot food was cold (eggs and sausage patties). Even when fresh were brought out, they didn’t stay warm very long. The gravy was very thin like broth, so we didn’t try it.

Friendly check in service. Liked that on the bottom floor you had outside / inside access to your room. However the inside door was discovered to pop open easily due to a malfunction on the latch (you had to push very hard to hear it actually close), so could be a safety issue. Also the couch in the room was filthy with stains all over and the room smelled awful. Bed was comfortable enough however.

This is a lovely little motel that is very reasonably priced and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. the rooms are clean and it's got easy access off I 74 with a number of fast food and sit down dining options close.

Breakfast was awful, dry and cold sausage and eggs, not much available at all. Room was alright, paint job was poor and shower was very small. Parking lot was full of ice and the door to access our room was very far from parking

Clean, with convenient parking for ground floor rooms! The ‘free breakfast’ however, was horrific: sausage and eggs looked like dried up cardboard discs. The bagels were even stale.

Very basic hotel. Not clean but have seen dirtier. The tiny bottles of shampoo/lotion/etc were open and half used. Dirty wash cloth on bathroom floor. Bed was clean and comfortable. Weird to have two doors (one to interior hall and one directly to outside.

I booked a pet friendly room for a one night stay. I was very happy with the room. Clean and no signs of being pet friendly. (No pet hair anywhere, no pet smells). It's off the interstate and walkable to restaurants.

I’m sure everyone that stays in hotels had noticed how hotel ownership is changing all over the country. This place is kept up pretty well, considering that.

The reason for my one star rating, honestly, I would give it a half a star or zero stars if I could, is because at 8:15 in the morning, I was returning from the bathroom and almost back in bed and the next thing I hear is The door open. If we had not engaged the safety latch, the person would’ve been in our room. The next thing I hear is “Housekeeping.” In a male voice. A male employee tried to enter the room without knocking or notifying us. And if the safety latch was not engaged, he would’ve been in the room before he said anything. I called down to the front desk to let them know of this situation and the desk attendant stated “Okay, I’m sorry.” That was it. I was not OK with this for the simple fact that business 101 is you acknowledge the customer. Not only that I’ve never been in a hotel where housekeeping just walked in the room without knocking on the door. This experience made me feel very unsafe and upon speaking to the Front desk attendant she admitted that this isn’t the first time that This happened. They do not have a policy knock on the door before entering. Drive by this hotel. Do not stay here.

Nice place but offered no amenities but working wifi. I wouldn't stay here again. You access the bottom rooms from outside but there is nothing in the room telling guests there is an interior hall with ice machine and vending. Shower water squealed the entire time, toilet barely flushed and was woke up by a jack hammer next door at 6am.

Older property but clean. They serve a free breakfast also. Average. Got a good nights sleep and had something to eat. Not spectacular but met the purpose for what we needed. Nice people who worked there.

We were able to park within 5 feet of our door. Made it extremely easy to unload car. Employees of hotel were very friendly. The hotel was clean and a great value for our dollar. Morton had a Walmart that was close to hotel.

I booked two rooms for family for one night. The rooms were very quiet. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and very clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The linens were clean and soft. There were plenty of clean, fluffy towels.The breakfast was modest, but well presented with several options. The front desk allowed us late checkout with no fuss. I recommend this hotel, and i would stay here again.

The hotel was very nice. There was plenty of restaurants near by. They accepted our large dog. Easy access from the highway to the hotel. In a good location, didn't have to worry about our vehicle and our cargo carrier on the roof of the car. Was a little disappointed in the breakfast. But that was no big issue. I would recommend this hotel. We have never been disappointed in the Quality Inn Hotel's.

Staff is Great and willing to help in any way, It's an old hotel at a low price so don't expect the Ritz Carlton but for what what it is, it is Excellent.

This was our least expensive hotel, and yet had the nicest room and best breakfast of more expensive places. Friendly and accommodating.
