    Nothing. It was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life, and I have traveled a lot We waited 30 minutes for the receptionist to show up when checking in. Most important, we were put in a smoking room while we specifically asked for a non-smoking one. The smell was awful--I woke up with a headache. My 93-year mother who was traveling with me barely survived the night. The room was clearly a designated smoking room: it had an ashtray on the desk and the blanket was stinky and had cigaret burns on it (images enclosed). The bathtub was dirty and the towels looked warn and not fresh. Wi-fi was so poor I could not get online and failed to do any work. When we complained, I was assured the manager will call me that day, but they never did.

    The room was not vacuumed or swept, there was dirt on the ceiling, walls and doors, even after I had asked the front desk to have someone come they only came to make the bed. The fire alarm was hanging from the ceiling and didn’t look like it was working at all. The front desk was polite but assured me someone had cleaned the room. I recommend paying more to stay somewhere that actually takes cleanliness as a priority. The walls are also very thin you can hear lots from the rooms around you.

    Had to call someone on phone and wait 5+ minutes for them when I walked in. There was not a clean area anywhere. The room had broken table leg, bathroom sink stopper laying next to sink, stains on the bed sheets. I asked for a refund after less than 10 minutes after walking into the room. The whole place is horrible. Not exaggerating at all. Was not successful in getting a refund so me and my daughter left and I ate the $106. Needs to be shut down to be totally honest. Thank you I have photos, but they are on my daughter's phone. Can provide if someone is interested in seeing this place

    The headboard was covered in dust, and the ice machine was broken. The girl at the desk was nice and check-in was easy. We wanted a cheap hotel for one night and this fit the bill perfectly. The breakfast options looked too weak to even investigate further. Parking was right outside our window, so that was nice. Would stay here again when visiting King spa.

    Most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stepped foot in. Smells like mold and pot throughout the entire hotel. Bodily fluids on the bedding and smears of other things on the wall hangings. Literally someone wrote “clean me” on the wall with a wipe. Whole thing was musty and nasty. We checked out immediately and they fought hard not to give us a refund for the 3 days we booked there. We didn’t get a refund from the hotel for the first night though we didn’t stay. Worst experience dealing with hotel staff who “didnt know how” to give us our refund and didn’t answer the phone for the hotels customer service to help with the refund. Horrible dealing with customer service through hotels.com as well. I spent 5 hours trying to work this out and get some money back. Heavily recommend you search elsewhere for a comfortable stay. Do not bring children there for sure. They didn’t even vacuum the floor. Disgusting place and useless people.

    When we came room was clean, but I can't turn of television, I can change channels, but it didn't turned off. Bathroom looks clean, but toilet was absolutely dirty inside, and I find somebodies underwear in Bathroom. Breakfast was not very bad but little bit poor. We were stay for 2 days, but nobody comes and clean our room and change our towels.

    The room we stayed in had bed bugs on the mattress, holes in the blankets, what looked like blood on the floor behind the toilet and toilet paper randomly on the floor in the bathroom. The general cleanliness of the room was terrible. When we spoke to the employee at the front desk, they tried to offer us another room but that one was just as dirty. We checked out a day early and booked a different hotel.

    There was only muffins or pasrtries, instant oatmeal, milk, juice and yogurt for the breakfast. I was hoping for eggs and meat and such. I liked that there was easy parking. There was no elevator. The bathtub had hairs in it and the toilet wasn't squeaky clean. The linens seemed to have stains on them.

    No bath mats in shower/tub very slippery while attempting showering and I fell, went to front desk asked front desk if they had any mats, and was told that they didn’t furnish mat in any of their rooms. Went out to Target and purchased a mat. Upon arrival room was not cleaned properly. At least the frigid was spotless.

    The hotel is outdated but clean. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. One side of the hotel is really noisy because ventilation system in the nearest building. But when I asked to change the room hotel representative found very similar room on another side almost right away. Our room was clean, towels are new and clean, the bed was comfortable.In another room that we booked wasn't hot water and mattress was bad. Breakfast was includesd, but there is almost nothing to eat, only yogurt, cheapest orange juice, small packages of instant oatmeal meal and milk, and coffee that not coffee at all.

    For the price, it was an excellent property. Continental breakfast is only muffins or cinnamon rolls milk and that’s it and cereal boxes. It’s not a full continental breakfast with cooked eggs and sausage and fruit as you see in other hotels.

    This hotel was a horrible experience it was absolutely filthy stains all over the bed and the walls the bathroom was covered in mold the hotel smelt like cigarettes everywhere the staff had no idea what they were doing other. They first gave us a room that was occupied and lied saying they checked out but left trash in it but the peoples personal belongings where still in the room not just trash then gave us another room that was just as filthy. I asked for a refund and was met with attitude and disrespect and had to pay a 100$ cancellation fee and only got 80$ I paid back. I don’t recommend staying here go to the red roof inn that’s about 2 minutes away

    Table has sticky stuff on it, so obviously it wasn't cleaned properly. Bed is very noisy. I was by myself and it feels like it's gonna collapsed everytime I tried to get off the bed. Pillows could be bigger on a king size bed.Carpet needs to be updated and cleaned too.

    The room had spatter on the walls and what looked to be mold in the poorly ventilated bathroom. There were also bed bugs, one of my childrens arms got bitten up. We pulled the bed away from the wall to find bed bug feces on the linnen (see picture) When we notified the front desk we were told we would receive a discount, we never got the discount. I also posted a review on Google about our experience and the owners replied that they took care of the bed bug issue, funny when we stayed at this hotel at the end of February 2025, infestations are not fixed that fast. The owners are dishonest. There is also no breakfast available as was advertized. BUYER BEWARE!

    Staff started visit stating they didn"t have availability but our reservation was made a month earlier. Then said if we would take a room with two doubles. Three people to get a room as reserved. Then there was no breakfast as advertised due to remodeling the area we checked in. No prepackaged options offered either for inconvenience. Room smelled like dirty socks and smoke eventhough non smoking room. Advertised as sound proof rooms. We could hear couple next door pleasing eachother and knocking on doors even a few doors down. The door was to small for frame so light came in. Pillows very thin and uncomfortable like the mattress. Room around wall boarders were very dusty. Water bottle left from last person in bathroom still empty and on shelf. Lamp on bedside table didn't work. No toilet paper roll holder. Overall not going to return.

    I booked a stay at Super 8 by Wyndham Morton Grove/Chicago through Expedia, and it was an absolute nightmare. Upon checking in, I was given a smoking room—which I was not properly informed about—but I had no idea how unbearable the conditions would be until I entered. The room was so deeply contaminated with cigarette smoke that the stench was overwhelming, immediately causing severe headaches, nausea, and dizziness. This wasn’t just a smoking room—it was a health hazard. To make things worse: • The air conditioning unit was filthy and barely functioning, making the air quality even worse. • The room was in unacceptable condition, with a stale, toxic odor deeply embedded in the furniture, bedding, and walls. • The room was simply unlivable—I physically could not stay. I immediately went to the front desk to report the issue, but I was told that since I booked through Expedia, I had to resolve the matter with them directly. Expedia, however, refused to take responsibility, hiding behind the hotel’s “no refund” policy—even though they were the ones who sold me the room. Expedia completely failed in customer service by refusing to stand behind their booking. They knowingly allowed me to pay for an uninhabitable, unsafe room and then refused to do anything about it. I was forced to leave early due to the unbearable conditions, yet Expedia denied my refund, ignoring the serious health concerns involved. NASTY

    Although the website said it offered coffee and breakfast items, none was offered. The picture on the website showed a stunning building, it was less that stunning, I pasted it by twice because of its worn-out appearance. The hall was worn and ripped in spots. Beneath the sink, it's had a piece of drywall ripped out, not cut out that wasn't repaired. The floor lamp had the lamp socket dangling from its base, a shock hazard. It should have been built with better soundproofing between rooms, you could hear the conversation from next door.

    Where to begin? The bed was awful, the toilet rocked, the tub had nothing to keep from slipping, breakfast non existent and not even a coffee pot in the room until I asked for one.     I found a live one crawling in the sheets while getting ready to check out. After checking more thoroughly I found more dead bedbugs behind the bed along the baseboard. I told the front desk staff who did absolutely nothing about!!! I have complained to Super8 and the owners who have also done nothing about. I will be notifying the Morton Grove, IL health department. Also the staff bang the doors early in the morning and woke me up at 6am two days in a row. Stay away!!!!!

    There were no "wow" moments. Everything good was just good enough: beds were comfortable but squeaky, breakfast was enough but not fancy. The bathroom was not clean: there was something smeared on the wall. We let the front desk know twice (two consecutive days) before housekeeping addressed it. There was used gum left above the bath/shower stall, stains on the door. However, I've stayed in worse places. Our family of 4 slept fine, we had breakfast every day, which was nice and included a waffle maker. The staff was responsive (except the cleaning issue) and friendly. And the price was right. I don't think I'd stay there again, but it met our needs.

    The gentlemen at the front desk was not friendly or welcoming. However, Shu, the young woman greeted everyone whether during morning or overnight she was pleasant and approachable.     It is a nice and safe building, around the area seems to lonely, our only problem was the shower hed water pressure didn't work properly, I reported and was told since everything was full (parking lot was empty, is a statement hard to believe because only the hotel staff has that information) but judging by the parking lot it was not fully booked I could not get another room, when the staff came to check the problem we were told that someone could come next day, when you are traveling there is no guarantees the guest would be there for a 2nd night, staff was courteous

    We checked in on Saturday and found the room dirty and unhygienic. Noise from the neighboring room, including a crying baby, made it impossible to stay. When we requested a room change, the hotel claimed they were fully booked. We then asked for a refund to go elsewhere, but they insisted on charging us for the full day, plus $25 per person in miscellaneous fees, despite our Hotels.com booking showing full charges. They pointed to a policy sign at the front desk and refused to prorate our stay, even though we were there only four hours. The staff and manager were unprofessional, dishonest, and sneaky with charges. As an avid traveler, I find this unacceptable and would never stay here again or recommend this hotel. Other accommodations in the area cost the same after this hotel's hidden charges.

    When we climbed the stairs to our room, all the stairs had what looked like dried soda. When I complained in the morning, I was told housekeeping had not come in yet. The stairwell had dirt along the walls. The breakfast area had a big liquid spill with foot prints near it - I don't care if housekeeping had not come in - the owner could get a mop and clean it up. NOT pleasant to get food in a dirty area. We ate elsewhere. The dumpster below our room was emptied with a crane (not quiet) at 4:00 in the morning! I told the desk and was told he'd let them know not to come so early.

    Close to our son's home. Pipes under the sink came through an unsightly jagged hole in the wall; sink stopper was missing; one lamp didn't work; bathtub stopper was missing; we never figured out how to work the TV and no printed directions.

    I checked into this hotel late at night and had to go to the front desk to request a roll of toilet paper. And the room had the noisiest fan ever. I could not sleep at all and the staff did switch rooms for the me the next day and apologized for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, they put me next to a room full of noisy partiers and I had difficulty sleeping the next night. In addition, there was an issue with the faucet in the bathroom and water did not flow properly. I spoke with the front desk and they told me there was nothing they could do especially about people who were noisy. Hotel was not terrible but I will avoid for next time as I feel there must be better choices in the area.

    Had a smoking room. Bathtub had no way to take a bath, shower only. The fridge was old and beaten up, still working. No microwave and the king bed was was hard as a rock...But for the convenience for what we were doing. It was fine..

    It is not even close to what the pictures show. It is dirty and beat up. Everything is old and broken. The express breakfast was horrible to look at. I will never recommend this place or stay at a super 8 again. And with it being a Wyndham I thought it would be better.

    No wi-fi, no cable connection, my son and I had to use our hotspot for wi-fi for the entire time of our stay, most things in the room such as outlets, lamps, and coffee maker do not work. On check out day at 9:30am, I told the front desk I would like to extend my stay and stay in my same room. She told me I cannot because since I am scheduled to check out my room is already booked to another guest. How can that be when you assign the room up check in. But I was very disappointed because we wanted to stay. But the gentleman that works overnights and sets up the breakfast, the tall foreign lady with long hair, and the gentleman the housekeep the 2nd floor are all amazingly friendly. I even help out the housekeepers by maintaining my room clean and I wait until he is on my floor to ask for items, even though my son and I are experiencing homelessness I shared candies to the housekeeper's children.

    Staff was very friendly and the room itself was nice but I did not see until the morning I awoke that the sheet were deeply stained with what appeared to be blood. Might suggest replacing those altogether, if the stains cannot come out.

    We always look for the super 8s because they often have smoking rooms which are hard to find nowadays. They're often a bit dumpy and dingy, a sacrifice we make for our habit. This place was the cleanest, nicest, shiniest one we've ever stayed at. Decent neighborhood, great parking, and two blocks from the Mongolian restaurant that was our main reason for stopping here. Definitely will come back if we come this way again.

    The pictures of the hotel and rooms themselves are artist renderings rather than actual pictures of the hotel, so rather deceiving. The bathroom was updated a bit, but as a whole, the room was in rough shape: paint was peeling, pillows smelling funny, carpet stains, doors old and coming apart. You can tell it’s old and not much money goes into renovations and upkeep.
