    Room was extremely dirty wallpaper peeling, stains on everything. No bed skirt just bare stained box spring. I have only got up and left so quickly in the morning at 1 other hotel. I was so disappointed.

Unfortunately, the location's convenience was misrepresented to me, as I had specifically chosen this hotel based on an employee’s claim that it was close to the VA Durham, which proved to be inaccurate. My experience was hindered by the front desk staff, who seemed consistently distracted and not attentive, making it difficult to receive efficient assistance during my stay.

    Yo! This building is beautiful outside and in the lobby, very modern and esthetically pleasing. The breakfast was very good. But what makes the hotel special are the staff. The 3 staff I interacted with during my stay on 5/9-5/10 were phenomenal: Dominique, the guy that is from my home area Enfield/Medoc, and the woman on breakfast bar were all respectful, cordial, helpful and great to talk to. They made my stay enjoyable and worthwhile. This building is beautiful outside and in the lobby, very modern and esthetically pleasing. But in our room?!? No. It was dark, the wallpaper was peeling from the walls and held up with clear tape (no lie), had mold spots on the wall, and the bed springs kept making a loud popping noise each time you get on/off as well as being sunk in.     Bed was comfortable Did not specify pool in inoperable, said they did not have enough bedding for the couch bed (which was the only reason we booked this room and had to go purchase some) hot water doesn't exist (just warm), front staff was rude when asking for the bedding and didn't even come around the corner to talk just stayed in her chair with phone off to the side, for the price they charge you would expect more, not a cheap hotel experience.

    Excellent staff. Plentiful parking. Breakfast buffet was okay. I’ve had better but at least it was part of room price and not extra. Clean room. 1st floor rooms hallway needs updating: dings and unsightly appearance as if it has been decades since updated. Microwave in my room looks old. Overall, I had a peaceful stay since this was more work related trip and needed quiet time after work.

    The ceiling was leaking badly while we were sleeping. And because it was paid through a third party getting compensated for the inconvenience wasn't happening. So if you don't pay through the actual company its really nothing they can do. It wasn't even near check out time when it happened can you imagine how we was feeling. They really gotta do better.

    I waited over an hour and 15 minutes for the shuttle to the hotel. I had called a few times to check on the status. On my last call I spoke to a different person and she was very helpful and the shuttle arrived shortly after that call. She was also very pleasant during the check-in process

    1. Airport Transfer Shuttle (Arrival) Upon arrival, we called for the hotel shuttle three separate times, yet the shuttle did not arrive for approximately 45 minutes. This caused unnecessary frustration and delay after a long travel day. 2. First Room – Smoke Odor The first room assigned to us smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that it was uninhabitable. While I do appreciate that staff promptly moved us to another room, this was still a significant inconvenience. 3. Second Room – Smoke via HVAC System The second room also smelled of smoke, though not as strongly. Perhaps it was coming through the HVAC system or from a previous customer who smoked in the room. Regardless, the smoke smell seeped into my CPAP machine and I had to throw away the nose piece as it smelled so strongly of smoke. 4. Non‑Functioning Refrigerator The refrigerator in the room did not work, resulting in spoiled food that we had brought with us. This caused both inconvenience and direct financial loss. 5. Airport Transfer Shuttle (Departure) We signed up for the 5:15 a.m. airport shuttle the following morning and were present at the designated location on time. Despite this, the shuttle left without us. When we reported this to a staff member, the response we received was, “Some days are like that,” which was disappointing and dismissive given the circumstances.

    Booked through expedia and had to choose the no cancellation option because it was 7pm at night for that night when I booked it. I was on an airplane diverted to Raleigh/Durham due to BWI and other Washington area airports being grounded Friday evening and was told we weren't flying out until 7am Saturday morning. There were no rental cars left for 6 people in our family so booked a hotel instead of trying to drive home. A couple hours later and still sitting on the plane, we were told BWI was open again and we would be taking off within the hour (around 9:15). I called the hotel directly asking for a cancellation and explained the situation but was told I had to go through Expedia. I lost service when taking off and contacted Expedia the next day who emailed the hotel asking if they would consider a refund and they would not. Very disappointing that in that situation they would not refund. They already showed a star rating below 8. A little bit of empathy goes a long way.

    The rooms were excellent. The bed was super comfortable. And the shower was amazing…the shower head produced the perfect stream of water. The breakfast selection was quite good also. Nothing really. You are super close to the airport which means it can get loud when a plane is taking off or landing. But you expect that when you book the place. Didn’t particularly like the pillows though. But that is personal preference.

    The room was infested with roaches. We let the front desk know that we were flying out of the airport in the morning and would need the shuttle. The attendant never let the shuttle know that we needed it, so it never showed up to pick us up. Do yourself a huge favor and never stay at this hotel or any of its affiliate locations.

    Only was there for 1 night! Definitely need some upgrades room decor is dated and water was brown when first came on so definitely need to check pipes but beds was comfortable!     The executive king suite exceeded our expectations. The only down fall was there weren't any pillows for the pull out couch and when I requested them, I was told they didn't have any. Also, the pull out sofa wasn't made. I found a flat sheet in the closet and made the pull out sofa. A fitted sheet should have been supplied not a flat sheet. Breakfast was supposed to be till 10 am and it was being shut down at 9:35. Otherwise, the hotel exceeded what we expected. Where can I buy some of the pillows you use??? lol

    Toilet was leaking, floor lamp was leaning to one side , microwave was were it was very hard to use, bird nest of wires hanging down from the wall mounted tv, bed very uncomfortable, wall next to shower coming apart, no charging ports ( not a huge deal but haven’t sen a hotel that didn’t have at least one in years, overall the bathroom was sad, except for small packaged muffins and bagels and waffles the breakfast was inedible. I think you get the drift. Will not use this brand again.

    I checked into room 406 and there were a few lady bugs in the window. That was fine. It didn’t bother me. I then went to use the ironing board and found what I thought was a small roach. I killed it and went on about my night thinking maybe it could be an issue because the hotel only had an 88 rating. I left the room and came back that night to find a bug similar to the one I found on the ironing board in my sheet. I then pulled back all of the sheets and found a few more bugs. After looking more into it I found out they were bed bugs and clearly had gotten into multiple places in the room. At 3am I went down to the front desk and requested a new room. The man apologized but didn’t bat an eye at the fact I mentioned bed bugs nor did he ask to see the picture I had taken or even acknowledge that he would let a manager know. I switched rooms for the night and the next morning went to the desk and spoke with a lady. I requested a manager. She told me the manager is upstairs but I can text him and see if he’ll come down. I waited around about 5 minutes. She then told me I can write him a note for him to call you. I was never called. This has been the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. I also forgot to mention that when we were checking in there was another guest standing at the front desk demanding to be checked out because him and his mother found dried semen on the chair in their room. The hotel overall clearly needs to do a better job at cleaning and managers.

    Room was clean, looked nice. Hallways are worn. They say they offer airport shuttle, but beware, no shuttle between 11:30pm to 4:00am. I had to take a taxi, although i booked the room and paid for airport parking/shuttle availability. I had also sent many messages to the hotel to remind them mu flight would arrive at 11:40pm. Unfortunately they did not respond.

    The staff is fine, it’s just the place was very outdated. The bed that my sister and I slept on felt like there was a hole in the center.     There's a young lady at the front desk who told me that my room was not ready at four p m.And I asked her, what was she going to do about it?She said she could give me a complimentary bottle of water.When that was not acceptable, suddenly my room was ready.In five minutes I don't understand her way of thinking or talking to me. There's no staff to bring towels or extra blankets to the room you have to carry things yourself.I never seen that before. There's no phones.There's no way to contact the front desk.I had to search search on the internet.In order to find the phone number. But I'll still give you a five because it was clean and decent. But the attitude of the young lady at the front desk on friday afternoon was definitely not acceptable to me.I treat people kind and the work that I do.And I expect to get treated the same way when i'm out and the public spending my money.

I wasn’t able to order room service because the phone didn’t work, so I had to uber eats dinner to the room. One light in the bathroom didn’t work. Lampshade by the bed was cracked. Bed was comfortable enough, but I sunk in. Definitely well used.

    I stayed 3 days and enjoyed the layout if the room and comfortable beds. The breakfast was included and offered a variety of hot and cold items. The staff was very nice and helpful. The lobby is large and peaceful to have a space for meeting outside your room or hang out.

    When we checked in, our room was not ready, and we were told to go to another room for about an hour until our “much better” room was ready. The temporary room was obviously not habitable, given the mold on the wall and the overwhelming smell. We came back down to the lobby, asked if they were aware the condition of the room, and when told “can’t confirm nor deny”, I advised they never put a guest in that room, even for just an hour. Very disappointing part of the trip — disappointing behavior by Choice Hotels.

    I had no toilet paper holder in the bathroom..there was only 1 trash can in the room..no outlets to charge my phone on the nightstand. I had major issues with checking in. The smell of Marijuana in the hallway was overwhelming. I have asthma and it was very uncomfortable for me.

    I had stayed at Cambria in Chicago two years ago, downtown. I expected this to be at a similar level. It was not. I made complaints about a plumbing issue in bathtub/ shower and requested linens for foldout couch. Neither request was responded to during my 6 night stay. Also the ceiling globe in bathroom fell and shattered unexpectedly barely missing striking me. Soft drink machines were disabled.

    This stay was AWFUL!! First off, during check which was approximately at 4:30 pm on 9/23, the clerk behind the counter informed me that he'd have to manually enter my credit card info into the system due to the card reader supposedly "not working". Later on that evening, my bank contacted me about three charges totaling roughly $1,100 were made to my account which I did not make. I'm guessing as the clerk recorded the card info for himself at the time of check in. In addition, the room #102 was absolutely gross. Hair was on the shower walls from the last guest and the whole area had a nasty oder. A cardboard box in a Walmart parking lot would have been an upgrade. Will NEVER stay there again.

    At check-in there were 2 people complaining their room had mold or smelled like mold. I was worried about what I might find but overall my room was fine. There were stains a bench and the wallpaper was ripped but no mold was found. Overall the property needs updating, the gym temp was set at 80 degrees and was too hot, the pool was closed, breakfast was ok but in my opinion should offer more quantity as they kept running out of things at the busiest time. I would not choose to stay here again.

    I woke up at 5am to use the bathroom and there were roaches everywhere . I couldnt even get pictures i was so umcomfortable and grabbed my kids and our bags and informed the gentleman at the desk. He offered to come up to the room and kill them however didn't offer us another room. They stated they were going to take care of it and i ahould be hearing from a manager and ive never heard from one they wouldnt even put him on the phone after we left and called back.My experience was horrible i will never book that hotel or anything related again. .

    This is definitely not the best quality hotel. There was packing tape holding up the wallpaper. It was fine for the few hours we needed to sleep there but I would not pick it for any more than that. Tyrell at the desk was great and very helpful!!

    I had to ask repeatedly for more towels for our room. There were only 3 bath towels and 3 wash clothes in the room when we checked in. Our room has furniture in it that was torn and needs replaced. The fitness center was a joke. All the equipment is either broken completely or doesn't work right. We definitely won't be staying in this hotel again.

    The furniture in the room was in very poor condition. All of the leather had peeled off the desk chair and it really needed to go to the dump. I'm not kidding. It looked like something that would be on the street with a FREE sign attached to it. I was shocked they would even put that in a guest room that someone was paying for. The couches, benches and carpet were stained. The microwave looked like it had been beaten with a hammer. There were rust stains in the bathtub and all over the wallpaper in the bathroom. There were brackets on the walls where something must have been hanging at one time, but no longer there? When my husband sat on the bed it tipped sideways. I honestly think this room might be where they store their damaged furniture? The key wouldn't work for the first room we were assigned and after 3 tries we were finally sent to this room (#205). I think the hotel was sold out, but they should be embarrassed to put anyone in this room. My kids cried they were so grossed out. We had traveled all day, we were exhausted and it was really late when we checked in, otherwise we would have left and looked for another hotel.

    The toilet didn’t flush properly, and there was a roach in the room. All they did was kill it—no apology, and the front desk didn’t seem surprised, making it feel like this is a known issue. We were offered a refund, but it was already midnight and there was a festival in town, so we had nowhere else to go. On top of that, the staff showed no empathy or concern about the disgusting conditions. Absolutely filthy and unacceptable.

    I didnt like how the shower head was spraying everywhere except straight, can tell its been a problem bc the bathroom door was warped at the bottom, the fridge took forever to cool off, maybe it just got plugged up!!     Check in was unpleasant with bad attitude behind desk. Got to room: tv screen smashed, stains on walls. Went back to front desk and told there were no more rooms.
