La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Morgan Hill-San Jose South

I take my family to Morgan Hill annually and we always choose La Quinta. They have good rooms, a very friendly staff, good assortment of breakfast items (which is great with kids). The amenities such as the pool and gym are always clean and have towels when needed. Its in such a good spot in my opinion of Morgan Hill. Dunne ave is the middle section of Morgan Hill (freeway wise) so its great to pick up and go explore and come back and not have to be far from the action. Until next year, thank you for the recent stay!

We experienced an incident of extremely egregious employee misconduct by one of the front desk staff. We are in the process of reporting the incident to senior members of the leadership team. This is not a safe hotel to stay in. We are regular travelers to this area and would definitely advise against staying here.

While most staff were courteous, we experienced an extremely serious issue with improper behavior of one of the staff members. We are regular travelers to the area but cannot recommend this location.

Breakfest had plenty of options and was warm and not cold. "New toasters needed" Non of them worked right if at all. Pool and hot tub area was very clean perfect temp and great for the kids. They even had some pool noodles to play with. I will be choosing to stay here next time we are in the area. Great value and amazing clean.

Free parking and complimentary breakfast were definite pluses. Our room did have some issues, though the shower floor was dirty, and the room felt outdated and in need of upgrades. The beds were clean but not the most comfortable. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and welcoming.

She had me wait 30 mins while she disappeared came back after all that time and my room still wasn’t ready. She told me another 30 mins I told her ok trying to be patient I told her I’m going to go across the street to get a beverage. I came back it was 4:30 now I gave them extra time. Same lady told me she will go check the room. Still wasn’t ready at this point I was getting upset I asked what’s the hold up I did early check in the night before booked the room three days prior. Still wasn’t ready so I left again I came back it’s now after 5 and she tells me to give her a few mins she’s going to check on the room she finally came back it was getting close to 6. She finally checked me in and gave me a room right next to the exit door. My wife had to work early that morning. We kept hearing that door slap shut every 5-10 mins I kid you not. I complained but there wasn’t any other room available go figure right. So yeah I had an unpleasant stay I won’t be booking here again

Site was very clean, the staff were very friendly and the on-site meals were delicious. Only improvement would be the on-site EV chargers which had some non-functioning.

We did not like that we could not use the pool or hot tub due to so many children in the pool & hot tub under 18 . Emploee said there was a soccer torment & the place was packed with kids. They took over the pool & hot tub do we did not get to use the amenities

This hotel has poor ventilation. Upon arrival requested a different room, but chemical smell was still present in the rooms. Carpets are old. Had to call maintenance to have a closet shelf fixed. Rooms are small and breakfast buffet was a major disappointment - food was bland. Will not return to this hotel.

Similar to other La Quinta properties although the basic 2 queen size rooms felt smaller. Freezer inside mini fridge is so small it’s useless. There was low water pressure coming out the shower head. Other than that, not a bad stay. Would probably recommend

Wish i didn’t have to leave the lobby and go outside to actually get to the room. Wish the room had an actual closet & more than two small drawers. A microwave would have come in handy. Bar closes at 10 on week days 11 on weekends. Does have shuttle to Disneyland but does cost. Overall I'd give it a 7 on a 1-10 scale.

Stayed one night. This is a great location closed to many things like restaurants and the sports facility all within a short walking or drive distance. The hotel has a clean and modern feel to it. The breakfast is good. The pool is indoors. Will definitely stay there again.

Everything was good except the staffs need to be more friendly. They are not welcoming. They looked too serious and snob. Upon checking in, they are working on other things instead of helping you get checked in. They make you wait and there is no other customer in line. This is my first time to stay at this hotel. Too bad I booked 2 more nights in advanced. Also, check out is at 11am and most hotels are 12pm. Housekeeper also will knock at the door earlier and check out is at 11am. what is that?

Stayed here 1 night. It was a 15-20 minute drive before getting to san jose which was perfect for us. Check in was fast. we got the first room next to the gym we did hear people working out in the evening. We were worried about getting woken up too early because if the noise but luckily no one worked out the next morning. Beds were very comfortable and we will definitely stay here if we ever come to the area.

Housekeeping, needs to make sure that their shampoo and conditioner and soap and lotion and all their supplies are full every time they leave a room because ours wasn’t full and the front desk didn’t know where to get it from so we had to go buy our own

The King bed was terrible. Every time I turned the bed would creak waking me up. Not something I expected from any La Quinta hotel. The room was very clean. However, one of the elevators was not very clean. seems like someone had a leaky cup of coffee and you saw the drops on the elevator floor and out of the elevator on the first-floor hallway leading to a side exit door. The stains were there all day.

we unfortunately got placed near the exit and on the day of the local soccer tournament, the foot traffic and slamming of the doors throughout early morning made the whole stay extremely unpleasant.

The room was big, clean, and comfortable. Unfortunately because we booked through Expedia, the staff placed us in a room next to the exit door. We could hear the door slamming all morning. We checked out quickly. The staff would not move us rooms stating they were at capacity.

Usually a good experience ...Unfortunately, through no fault of the hotel, this time around didn't go too well. Room next door had a person snoring so loud I'm surprised the whole floor didn't shake. The room above sounded like a gymnastics tournament was happening late into the night, then early in the morning, and the person who stayed in the room before me set an alarm but didn't delete it, so I was woken up pretty early.

Only downside was red curbs and very limited parking under the portico at the entrance , and no temp spaces for guests checking in. Had to park 2 lots distant. Also, no luggage carts available (not sure how many they have total). Not a big deal to lug everything in two trips, but we arrived at 9:00 pm and it was windy and chilly. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Really cute area for breakfast in the morning, although the quality of breads for toasting and breakfast items in general were just ok. Coffee wasn't great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy check in and out. Good value for quality of room. Unfortunately, a little noisy in the early morning hours with a gardener starting up with power tools at 7:30 a.m. and being able to hear all your neighbors easily.

Very upscale hotel! We enjoyed the stay but heard or next door neighbors having fun as their bed was banging on the wall. Otherwise it was great to have breakfast & enjoy a whiteclaw beverage from their little store the night before. You can even buy a bottle of wine. Not a lot around (a car dealership Nextdoor) but perfect for business travel. Very very clean.

Staff was great. Our room 133 was next to outside door. Everytime someone came in or went out, the door banged shut very loudly, day & night. Woke us up a few times. Breakfast was unrecognizable as food but coffee was good.

The front desk peiple were helpful. The location off Highway 101 is convient. Breakfast scrambled eggs was one that one had to cut into like a solid pudding. The thin sliced ham was similar to Canadian Bacon. Oatmeal. Breakfast was warm. Room was very clean and comfortable.

La Quinta Morgan Hill was extremely clean and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast had lots of options, both got and cold. There was 24 hour hot coffee and tea too. The entry was festive for the holidays. The pool and got tub area were fantastic. The only downside I experienced was that I couldn't get the Internet to work for me, but it worked fine for my husband. A great stay for us, visiting both Gilroy Gardens and Santa Cruz.

She was in charge in the breakfast Friday Saturday and Sunday till I left. I chatted with her before breakfast hour in Sunday.

We travel to Morgan Hill every year during the holidays. For the past 10 years we have stayed at La Quinta. The location is convenient, just off 101. The property is well maintained and very inviting. The staff are friendly and polite. Check-in is a breeze. The rooms are clean with modern amenities to include a very comfortable bed, large flat screen TV and beautiful bathroom. The showers have easy moving barn-style rolling doors with thick, sturdy glass. They have large walk-in showers, with great shower heads. The free breakfast is a cut above anything you will receive at an equivalent hotel. Best of all, their rooms rates are affordable.

Our stay was perfect! We were here for a soccer tournament and the location was great. The hot tub was a great way for the players to relax after multiple games. The staff went above and beyond! I especially wanted to acknowledge the breakfast service worker. She was so accommodating and kind. Even though it was a busy weekend she never stopped smiling! She made myself and my children feel so welcomed!

Wonderful service! Love the dove products and the bed was very comfy! Room was clean and loved they had free hot breakfast but do wish the eggs and bacon was better quality but waffles were so good! I will definitely be staying here in the future.

Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up or confirmation from management after that. Because I was so scared of bringing anything home, I ended up throwing away my weekend bag, clothes, and shoes. It’s been an incredibly stressful week not knowing for sure whether I brought anything back with me something no guest should have to worry about after a hotel stay. Whether the issue was confirmed or not, it would have meant a lot to at least receive some acknowledgment or reassurance. A little communication and compassion go a long way when guests are dealing with such an upsetting situation. I used to stay here often but won’t return.

The hot tub was not hot and very foamy. The chemical balance is off, not safe. There are crystals at the bottom, chemicals did not break down properly.

The room was small and outdated. The fridge in the room smelled horrible! We opened it for a few seconds and the entire room smelled. We had to leave our front door open to air out the room. There’s also no safe in the room. The “heated” pool was cold and the hot tub was closed because someone reported that it smelled like chemicals. The breakfast was mediocre…eggs, ham, waffles, bread, cereal, oatmeal. Would rather spend a little more next time and stay at a nicer hotel.

The property welcomed pets. We were next-door to a room that had a dog which kept barking early in the morning, so I was very unhappy about that. At 9:15 potatoes were all gone and were told no more refilling. They were out.

The location was convenient for where we were going. The room was very clean and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable( the bed was the most important amenity). The front desk person was very helpful and informative and the server in the kitchen for breakfast Karla had worked very hard to make sure the area was clean and the food was well stocked, I was surprised just to see only one person for all of guest, working in the kitchen. I saw someone cleaning the vents and it made me happy to see the property was well kept up. We are planning another trip for next year for the same time and same event & will be inviting our family to join us. We look forward to say here again.

I put in some special requests when I booked the room and I was very grateful and appreciative that they accommodated my requests. Room was clean.

Friendly front desk; very quiet and very clean room; very large and very clean bathroom. Excellent room overall. Only minor negative was breakfast…they were out of several items including scrambled eggs.

We basically like everything except for one thing. We asked the staff during check-in if there is a non-Tesla EV charging station. They said there is and we only need to download the blink app. So we did and also found the EV charging parking at the back, however none of the chargers are working as in all were out of order.

It's quiet and has ample free, safe parking. I.upgraded to the executive room which was roomy with 2 tv's , sitting and work areas.

I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. There is plenty of available, well-lit parking.

Everything was great except our room was just on the other side of the elevator.

Staff is nice but unknowledgeable, overall decent place. Our bathroom smelled like smoke so strong right when we got there until we left it was awful. Asked for another room to no avail. Wouldn’t stay here again. Not worth the money at all.

The air conditioner in the room was faulty. It made an excessively loud rattling sound on and off, waking us from our sleep. Room corridors could use deep cleaning. Breakfast was ok, need more options for fresh fruit - oranges were past their best use date for sure. Phone in room did not work.

In general, I like La Quinta as it’s usually a clean hotel, well run, and usually decently priced. My last visit was about double the previous visit, which made me a bit frustrated, blew my trust in La Quinta. The hotel syndication thing where all hotels raise their prices seems like it shouldn’t be legal, and when it’s a chain it’s not good for customer trust. This particular location is good for me, and they take pets too. They often have some staining on the rugs, which I don’t mind but I also don’t want to be made responsible for. Overall, really super clean rooms, reliably. Good complimentary breakfast.

For some reason my online check in didn’t work and I have to go through all process again in lobby. I wish they would have provided more

Staff was super friendly. Rooms were great, comfortable and felt like home.

This was one of the better hotels we have stayed at. This was our first La Quinta and I will say that I greatly appreciate that the restrooms have real doors. There was also a mini fridge and a microwave in room. Hotels never have microwaves anymore.

I had to take my car into Ford very early so I spent the night before here. The bed was super comfy and everything was clean. Great locations to a whole bunch of restaurants and downtown Morgan Hill.

Lots of confusion at check in even with confirmation numbers.

I usually get an Airbnb when I visit my mom in Morgan Hill but this is my new spot. Very clean, close to downtown, lots of parking, friendly staff. Breakfast is the standard motel breakfast. Glad I discovered it.

The property is nice. Looks very updated and clean. The room was clean. The breakfast was awesome and they had whipped cream and fresh fruit for the waffles. My kids and I loved it! The fruit in the water was fun. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. We loved it!

Staff were very nice! Bed was comfortable. However, the shower in my room was dirty. Breakfast was mediocre but good in a pinch.

Always beautiful and clean. Breakfast included and Karla in the dining area is the best and always friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious. The hotel is located about 3/4 of a mile from downtown. Huge selection of restaurants and shopping nearby. Can't go wrong with this place.

It was closed to freeway that made easy to travel anyway. Staff were kind and free breakfast was great.

We stayed for 3 nights to enjoy Silverwood with the family. It was the perfect place to stay for us. Very accommodating and large room for 6 people (5 teenagers). Breakfast every day was a wonderful perk. Thank you Barbara.

Our stay was nice. It was quiet at night and the bed was good. We slept very well. The complementary breakfast was good. A lot to choose from. We would stay again.

Breakfast was a highlight with a solid spread of hot options like eggs, bacon, oatmeal, waffles, and pancakes, plus continental items like bagels, toast, yogurt, and muffins. Amenities were fine, parking was easy, and there were lots of restaurants nearby. I’d definitely stay here again!

Always a great stay. The rooms are clean, beds and pillows are very comfortable. I travel alone often and feel very safe at this hotel.

Average hotel and not really anything special. Front desk check-in service was average. Hotel breakfast was average (but the staff attending was probably the most friendliest during our stay). Nothing majorly wrong with the hotel or our stay. The shower water pressure was pretty low and the room smelled like strange perfume. One of the elevators made scary sounds.
