The hotel is in a convenient location and across the street from an excellent location. The bathroom is problematic: terrible light in the mirrored area; shower water temperature is difficult to control so one can easily get burned; and there is no outlet in the toilet/shower room which prevents plugging in a night light. The breakfast good in the buffet was sub-par. Too bad these problems exist as it could be a good place.

Gym was nice for early morning workout. Large rooms with comfortable king size beds. Breakfast buffet with waffles, eggs, bacon, scones, cereal, juices, toast. Great location to Lake Norman off I-77.

It was very close to everything The only thing I didn’t like was the grab and go breakfast . I know the hotel is under construction but, the breakfast could have been in one of the banquet rooms . The best thing about staying in a hotel room is the breakfast .

Close to the area I needed I requested a late heck out which was 1:30. As 12:00 was regular heck out, and at 11:00 the maid was knocking on the door and trying to enter

The bed was comfy but the pillows were not.

When l check in on Wednesday Evening thanksgiving night . the Yong man give me 2 db .when I told him I need one king b . I’m travel with my wife.he told me he can’t change it . And he was not a friendly Yong man .the hotel was half. Emptey. He just need. A little more trining . For customer service;

clean room The heat/ac didn’t work. The room was stuffy without the ability to turn on the air- it was stuck at 77 degrees regardless of what temp was put at. The pillows were all the kind that flatten out instantly after laying on them, no firmer pillows available. The breakfast was lacking options. For the price being much higher among the nearby hotels, I expected more.

Didn’t have a room assigned to me. The very gracious desk clerks did get me an excellent room perfect for my needs.

My bathroom smelled of raw sewage. The hotel staff was not friendly or understanding in the matter at first. I’m dissatisfied and have a different outlook of the Marriott name. Over and over again, I’m having issues at Marriott properties and the service is declining. Be aware and make sure you inspect your room fulling before settling in.

Lots of room, clea, and comfortable. Tidy breakfast area. Small gym, but nice little outdoor patio and walkable to a few restaurants.

Breakfast was very lacking. They threw wrapped Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits in a warmer. Front desk staff was not helpful.

Overall, our stay was fine and the price was right. Nothing remarkable. The bathroom was a little dirty and overall the property is showing show age.

Not a dislike but the indoor pool was fairly small.

I am always uncomfortable with having to stand in front of an unattended reception desk for about 3 minutes before the desk agent wandered out from the room behind the desk. The next two times I passed the front desk, there was no one there. Our room backed up to the elevator despite the fact that we checked in early, and the number of guests seemed to be low. Using rooms placed against the elevator didn’t seem to be necessary. But we heard the elevator on each of its trips up and down. And then when I tried to dry my hair, the outlet beside the sink didn’t work. I tested the drier elsewhere, and found it was functional. Finally I was able to plug it in in the bedroom and lean around the corner to get my head in front of a mirror. This all adds up to too many problems to give this hotel a high rating.

Breakfast was very good. Nice selection. The room we stayed in was a suite, and it provided separation when my wife had a friend over and I wanted to take a nap, Having a restaurant within walking distance was a definite plus. as well as amenities in the immediate area. My wife is a "committed" Diet Coke drinker. Being a "Pepsi" place to stay meant that I had to get in a car and go across the street to the Shell station to get a Diet Coke for her.

Love having the sitting area and the Mexican restaurant right next door is awesome.

Everything about the stay was as expected. Clean rooms, friendly staff and enough breakfast choices. Only drawback was our room was near the ice machine and we could hear it cycling all night long.

The most important requirement for us was that it was in a safe area and that we didn't need to worry about leaving most of our belongings in the car overnight. (This was a stop on a cross-country move.) The hotel was located in a very safe area and we were able to park our car very close to the front door.

We had 4 adults in our group. Sleeper sofa was a necessity. It was late when we opened it up, and when we did it was filthy. The person at desk was nice, offered to move us, but some of our group was already in bed. If a sleeper sofa is in room it should be cleaned. My daughter ended up sleeping on the top.

We liked that this hotel had a convenient location. It was close in proximity to the highway, restaurants and shopping.

We liked the room and the neighborhood. Strong internet. We arrived late and left early so we didn't have a lot of time to enjoy the premises.

Nice hotel, good breakfast, comfy bed, but my non smoking room smelled like a cigarette....someone came with a scent spray which was effective for a while.

The employee at the bar was not as friendly as I would expect. Breakfast was okay. My husband ask for a packet of pepper. There were none and was handed a regular pepper shaker. The breakfast wasn’t replenished very well. There was only skim milk available. These are just things I observed which I know can be addressed and improved upon.

Everything around the property was clean with the exception of the carpet. That needs to be replaced. The bathroom could use some upgrades but was clean. Breakfast was good but on the second day of our stay several items had ran out and no one was available to ask when any thing else would be brought out. The property was quiet and in a great location.

Despite there being a lot of kids in the hotel, it was quiet. Breakfast was so-so. No cereal…hmmm…interesting. Beds were comfortable and the room was large and clean.

Not enough staff. It took 20 minutes to check in. Room was a little dirty. We found hair in the bed.

Property is really easy to get to from the highway. Lots of convenient food options within walking distance. Unfortunately the whirlpool is out of order :(

We were very happy with the cleanliness, the staff were amazing and it was convenient to all. The only thing was that there was no shower gel and I had to ask for little tiny ones from the cart and the sheer window was torn. But those items did not affect how we felt about our stay. Thank you!

The pool did not work. The hot tub was down. The bar was closed. It just seemed like all of the amenities were down yet we had to pay full price.

The write up claimed the facility had a hot tub, only amenitie I searched for in booking and no hot tub or working pool. Please remove from amenities if not true.

Property was clean, staff was very polite. Room and linens were clean. Only discrepancy was that I had booked a 2 queen bed w pull out sofa and I got a room with 1 king and sofa bed. We made the accomadations work but would have liked the two beds and also the pool was down for maintence, but we were offered to go to the neighboring sister location to use the pool so it wasn’t a huge deal.

For any hotel, you expect a comfortable bed and a hot shower, but this Springhill Suites at Lake Norman delivers where it sets them apart - customer service. Randy at the front desk was welcoming, informative and congenial, sharing his personal knowledge of the area making our stay unique and memorable.

We requested adjoining rooms. And we were not given this. The pool area was not very clean. Very run down. But the rest of the hotel was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast bar was amazing. We would definatley stay again. Pool area does need cleaned up and updated.

Roomy suite, nice breakfast

We booked 2 rooms. 1 room had moody shower head, pubic hairs in the washroom, ripped curtain, dirty ac/heat unit. I had to clean the shower head myself which was disgusting. The 2nd room had water damage right above the bed where you would sleep, sofa was blue but turned brown because of how dirty it was and had an awfully large stain. For the amount we paid it was not worth it! The reviews were misleading or others standard of cleanliness is much lower. Would not recommend if cleanliness is important to you especially during covid times.

Nice rooms; very small indoor pool. Hot tub was not available - would have really liked to have enjoyed it. Rain storm the night we were there, we will on top floor - rain leaked in and my husband’s shoes were wet.

The room was great, very clean and comfortable. It also was surprisingly quiet. The lobby was clean and had a mini store with a nice selection; of course $$$ as expected. The breakfast was overall nice, selection a little limited, very crowded and ran out of stuff frequently. Main disappointment was hot tub was closed and while we were there they had to close the pool also. The hot tub was one of the reasons I chose that hotel so that was a little frustrating that it was not mentioned on the web site as it seemed to be a long term thing.

Loved that the desk attendant asked if we wanted a lower or upper floor room. I said “the quieter floor” and since there were a ton of kids there, just hoped for the best. Didn’t hear any noise in the halls, slept great! The breakfast offerings were good and the dining area attendant was on top of her game, making sure all items were well stocked, trash cans emptied, etc. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent place close to 77 and with a number of food options. The hotel is in excellent condition and room was very comfortable. Great stop at a 1/2 point from Florida.

Place was great for what we needed! Only issue was the pool floor. Safety surface is needed as the tiles flood right near the steps and kids were wiping out.
