La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Mooresville

The room was clean and beds comfy. But the pool was closed. It was 85 degrees and we weren’t told at booking time the pool was closed, we would have selected a different hotel as we had children with us who wanted to swim.

The facility was nice. The parking could have been better. We went out for dinner and when we returned there was only parking in the back lot, which was secluded from the hotel. They also mowed grass and blew grass and dirt all over our vehicle.

Convenient to the highway and the event I was attending. The room was clean and spacious. The special request for room selection was handled with ease.

Nothing. The room was dirty. The door would not securely lock. There was hair all over the comforter. The pool was closed and that was never communicated when I booked even though I wouldn’t swim in there but it just was not communicated. The side entrance had a piece of tape on the door so anyone could access the building.

I really don't want to say anything bad but my room was not kept up one day the towels were left stacked on the sink one day the bed was not made the tub still had hair in it I pored the coffee in the sink and the coffee stain was still there the day I left there was a bug killed by the TV and a spider web above my bed was still there when I left and the guys that did the AC units left sticky foot prints in my room they still might be there so it says no body mopped or vacuum the room 😢 sorry i didn't want to say but I payed good money for the room but it is what it is now

Hotel situated in a good area where we felt safe with gas/convenience store nearby as was restaurants and shopping. Hotel was very nice and clean as was our room. Our room was comfy, clean and had plenty of space. Staff VERY friendly and helpful. Very satisfied with our stay and would stay again and recommend to others. We have stayed with LaQuinta a few times and have NEVER been disappointed. It was also a great price! There was some road construction just coming off the interstate to the hotel exit which caused confusion however, this is in no way a reflection of the hotel. The indoor pool was closed for some reason, not sure why. But this was not a real inconvenience for us and our stay.

Bath towels were very old and very worn. Also, they were too small. In room coffee had no stirring sticks and brewing instructions were nonexistent! Bag full of trash was left in our room on bathroom counter which was not cleaned(still had toothpaste on it).

Carpet in my room needed attention from past stays, ironing board needed replacing barely stayed up, iron leaked water, be aware of how they charge your credit card, mines was charged upon check in and I wasn’t made aware, most places don’t charge until you check out

When we checked in there was only one staff member runinning everything. We asked for a manger but there was not one available. We were visiting for a funeral and booked this hotel so our kids could use the indoor pool. We were very disappointed to find out the pool was closed until June when we arrived.There were ants in our bathroom. The hall way is very noisy. We slept with a white noise machine and could still hear everytime a door in the hallway was opened. We have yet to have a good experience at a Wyndam hotel and will be avoiding those after this trip.

The air condition would not turn off. It ran all night and was loud. Very hard to sleep because of it. The staff were all very kind. The breakfast was fine. And our bed was very comfortable. Parking, if I was alone being a female, we had to park pretty far from the door and I wouldn’t have felt safe in the night.

This property is very convenient, just off a 77 with a lot of restaurant options, gas stations, and other retail very close by. While someone would see this as a strength, it also brings with it a very noisy, traffic filled environment at all hours of the night and day. Being located very close to a shopping center, the waste removal vehicles begin arriving around 5 AM and with them comes back up beepers clanging of metal doors as they empty their contents into the truck. As I mentioned earlier, there are several places to eat within walking distance, but the traffic makes that a risky proposition the hotel staff was very pleasant and easy to deal with at check-in. I found the property very economical and overall a good value for a one night stay

The best thing about staying at any La Quinta is the fact that you can always depend upon it being clean, convenient, reasonably priced and excellent service. No, it’s not a resort - it’s where you come to get a good night’s sleep. Skip the complementary breakfast, though.

DO NOT! I REPEAT Please do not book this hotel for many, many reasons. Please read other reviews to see room cleanliness issues. We didn't even get that far! They also failed to mention that their pool was closed for weeks and weeks. Though on Expedia they promote having a pool and on their website there was no mention of it being closed. Clearly false advertising in my opinion. I travel with 2 kids who love swimming so when we showed up for our room we had to book some place else with a pool that day. It was very disappointing. They are no refusing to refund our money citing they need 24 hours notice to cancel. Sorry but in my opinion your hotel under construction and the lack of pool would seem like enough grounds to cancel and refund my reservation. I've found that in my years of travelling La Quinta is always at the bottom of the hotel pile for quality and staff welcome and niceness. We found an immensely better deal 7 minutes down the road at Springhill Suites. Would highly recommend it and for the same price we had a pool, living room attachment and not the construction that La Quinta offers. Thoroughly disappointed with the level of customer service and quality offered from La Quinta.

We stayed here for one night while driving, just needing a safe and simple place to sleep. The room itself did the job and everything was fine for a quick overnight stay. However, I specifically chose this hotel because it advertised an indoor pool for my kids after a long day in the car, and unfortunately it was closed and not functional. That was really disappointing, especially since it was the main reason I booked here. If the pool matters to you, I’d strongly recommend calling ahead to confirm it’s actually open before booking. Otherwise, it served its purpose for a place to rest for the night.

We checked in late and found stains on the toilet. When we got off the elevator on the third floor, the hallway smelled like smoke even though this is supposed to be a smoke-free facility. The pool wasn’t working, the breakfast was very poor, and the property overall feels very run down. This was my first time staying at a La Quinta, and based on this experience, I likely wouldn’t stay at any La Quinta property again.

The first room smelt really bad so they gave us a different room! That was ok but stains on rug! We have stayed here before but just seems to not be as clean! Someone stepped in something and it was on hall the whole time we were there!! I like the location! Staff was very nice!

Sofa cushions could use cleaning. Some spots on bathroom floor. No place to put toilet paper on hanger - Stanchions were there, but no roller. Shower curtain could have been longer so it would stay in the tub better. Phone was unplugged when we arrived. Plugged it in, but it started making an occasional noise, so unplugged it again. Just advising this so that in the future you could receive a better rating.

The room was comfortable and clean. There weren't instructions on how to operate the Smart TV, had to resort to Google. The bathtub/shower dripped constantly. The breakfast well stocked with typical fare. The staff were courteous and friendly. Parking at night was quite the challenge finding an open spot in the limited lot size.

Staff was nice all 3 nights we stayed! Some minor things like bathrooms were a little small and the door was a tad difficult to open on our last room, but was definitely our go to for the area!

Try to check in early and there were no rooms available which I understood because I was early but they knew I was waiting to check in at 3 o'clock and at that time there still wasn't a room that I had reserved. They put me in a different room, which was no problem, but they knew I was waiting and still didn't have the room ready. The staff was very nice, but they seemed a little unprofessional. The breakfast was awesome. The water only got lukewarm. Plenty warm for showering, but not good for shaving.

We enjoyed our stay but on our last day/night no coffee or cups were provided for the next morning, and our bed was not made. Trash was collect and clean towels were provided. We enjoy a cup of coffee each morning but not this day. Thankfully there was coffee in the lobby

Check in took nearly an hour which is ridiculous. There were only 2 people in front of me. I even did the online check in to try to speed up my process when it came my turn, but it did nothing. After a long day, I just want to get to my room to rest. Won't be back here because of this slow service.

Good stay, but there was a problem with the bottom fitted sheet of the bed. It came loose from the top corner every night, becoming quite uncomfortable. I saw that when it was remade in the mornings, the upper corner was not hooked under the mattress, allowing it to come loose at night. I tried to hook it under, but even that didn't work well.

Staff was very nice and welcoming. The room was clean, well maintained, and had no problem staying cold once temp was set. I felt safe & had easy access to surrounding area. Could probably use a few more parking spaces, but I also checked in late and there were a few cars parking in more than one spot. Overall, amazing stay!

Did not keep hot breakfast stocked during the advertised time (not even hot water). The door to our room would not shut/latch properly. Fitness room was not clean and there were no cups to use for the water dispenser or disinfectant wipes to clean the equipment. An item in the bathroom was dusty and there was a little trash in the floor of our room. One of our keys didn’t work and we were marked as no shows even though we arrives at our pre check-in time. The lady at the counter was nice about things.

Always stay here on my way to and from Pittsburgh or Cape Cod.

I would have given the facility 5 stars, however the indoor pool was not in service. The pool was the deciding factor in my making a reservation at this location. I wish there had been a notice online that it was not in service. There were other hotels in the vicinity I would have then chose for the location.

Our room was missing a pillow on one of the beds, had various items from the previous guest still around, and the toilet and shower had hair and fecal on it. After we cleaned it up it was a decent room for the night.

However, once inside the actual room, it was actually pretty comfortable and clean enough. I would stay again if it saved me money. I liked the refrigerator and microwave in the room. That wa the best, and the beds were very comfortable.

The hotel room was not cleaned well, hair was olin the tub and floor of bathroom, stains and spots on the carpet and walls, the breakfast was poor and the eggs were stuck to the plastic in the warmer. We asked for more eggs and never got any, and the pool was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel only to get there and the pool was not open for the public. This whole stay was disappointing and i feel it was a complete WASTE OF MONEY!!! The lady at the desk heard our gripes and took notes but didn't seem to care at all. WE WON'T BE RETURNING TO THIS HOTEL EVER AGAIN!!!

Staff were friendly, check in was quick and easy. First room I was given had a very strong bad odor and there was clumps of hair in the bedding and a soiled bed skirt. After bringing it to the attention of the staff I was moved to another room which was better. Breakfast was very basic but well stocked. The pool was closed for maintenance.

I liked the fact that the hotel was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Think that the hallways could use more lights and be a little brighter.

The room had dirt stains on the walls and doors. The microwave looked like it had food on it that wasnt cleaned off. The air was set to 61 but it was every bit of 80 in the room. Couldnt even sleep with a sheet on and was still pouring sweat. No smoke alarm and where it should go is just wires sticking out the wall. Under dresser was a vape pen, blunt wrap trash and a beer bottle cap and tons of dirt. Looked like it was never cleaned in those areas. Stain on side of bed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable as well. I will not be picking this hotel again as I could have stayed at a roach motel and had a cleaner experience and a cooler room for half the price. We took pictures as well for documentation as we are going to be contacting the corporation for a refund or something as the cleanliness and heat alone was ridiculous. Indoor pool has also been closed and from what a housekeeper said, it has been for over a year.

Friendliness of the entire staff - service, greetings, very hospitable. Everyone - night associate, culinary attendants, servicemen, housekeeping, morning associate - greeted with smiles and light conversation. I would recommend the location to others, I would stay here again, convenient location, cost efficient rate.

Only there for an overnight so didn't really use the amenities. The AC was not on when we arrived so the room was hot. There was no hot water even after running it for more than 20 min, the water temp was barely warm but since it was so hot outside, if felt fine. The mini fridge freezer was almost closed off with built up ice and the fridge itself was kinda dirty. The cost of an overnight was inexpensive so I guess I got what the price gave me.

According to the listing, it stated that they had a pool table and a swimming pool. They do not have any pool table and the swimming pool is out of service for the next several months. I wish I knew that before I made the reservation.

Excellent staff

Every time I come to Mooresville for training classes, I always stay here. The staff smile and they say how happy they are working here which is a switch many times there’s always grumbling, but not here. The manager on duty was superb and it’s always nice to see a smile. Thank you for being good to your employees because it shows to all the customers.

Pool was out of order….. again! It was out the last two times I stayed there. I’m not checking in again, before checking on the pool.

Pool has been empty since 2024 - they shouldn't advertise it. The pull out bed was disgusting and had no sheets. There were no bed skirts around the bed and metal bars sticking out. The walls near the entrance to the room and bathroom were not clean. Breakfast was good that's about it. If you have kids do not stay here!!! We booked for the indoor pool. SCAM. Would not bring towels or blankets up had to go get from front desk.

I've heard great reviews from others and friends, however, it does say it has a pool, what it doesn't say is that the pool has been out of service since last year. This was alittle disappointing. Overall the room was very clean and the air conditioning worked well. Definitely would stay again.

It is a clean quite place

Looks like it had not been cleaned in weeks. Cabined shelves inside cabinets falling down. Electrical outlet coming out of wall where equipment plugged in. One of the worst LaQuinta hotels I have been this yr. (5)

This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. First, the pool had been drained for repairs. I had specifically picked this hotel for the indoor pool. Then they tried to put us in a room that smelled foul. We were then changed to another room, where the toilet seat was loose and hand painted, rather than replacing with a new one. Additionally, the toilet paper holder was missing and they just stuck the roll on the brace. These are easy fixes for a hotel. Additionally, the beds were so high, I could barely get in. This should have been a sign. Next afternoon, we were unable to get to our room, because the elevator was out. I am unable to climb stairs and had to wait until the evening to get to our room. This hotel was supposed to be handicapped accessible, but there were only 4 handicapped parking spaces for a 4 floor hotel. If you did not get back to the hotel by 8:30 pm, you were forced to park in the overflow lot, that was behind the building. Seriously, it was not safe and walking from the car was a huge problem for me. After 5 days of trying to make this work, even though we were registered to stay another day, we decided to check out and get a more handicapped accessible hotel. Best decision we made. With the all the issues (and what is listed above) is only some of the problems, being at a different hotel that was clean and fully accessible to the handicapped, was so much better. In closing this review, if you are considering this hotel, don’t bother!

Biggest issue was the ants in our room. There were a couple things broken, no big deal, but the abundance of ants is what will make us not return. That being said the staff was super friendly.

Pool was not ready for kids

We were a little hesitant on staying here but it was a great stay. Bed was comfortable. The room was clean and they had hot breakfast. Alot of stores around

Thing were nice. The bathroom sticks when trying to close or open.

Affordability and friendliness of staff

I was disappointed in my stay this time, I asked several times for the rooms to be cleaned and the beds made and even after asking the beds were not made and the room did not look like it had been cleaned. There were no shampoos soaps and body lotions replenished as in my other stays. I travel frequently and this was the most disappointing stay in my travels

The motel staff was A-1! The rest was 3 star at best. Breakfast was seriously limited and the television was really difficult to negotiate. The bed a sheets were first rate, but the blanket/quilt was flimsy and not warm enough. Given to room cost, I would have to say, it was great deal and I would stay again.

The location is great. Many places nearby to eat. The room overall was alright. The bed was very comfortable.

Room was nice and cool … place pretty clean .. pool was not in use but idk if it’s only used certain months .. breakfast average .. good for a one night travel stop.

Lack of maintenance in the room such as burned out lights, large bubble with a hole on the ceiling and swollen plaster on wall from leak damage. Carpet needs cleaned. Strong unpleasant odor. The pool was closed and half full of yellow stagnant water.

The first room they hadme in had an acrid chemical odor, also the toilet kept running. I told the front desk the desk morning and they kindly moved me to an upgraded room which was very good. No problems after that. The front desk was very accommodating.

Was disappointed in the choices for breakfast. I understand it was a continental breakfast...had better for less money.

The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They made sure an accessible room was available even with an 8 p.m. Check in.The room was the best accessible room I've stayed in.

Walking distance to several restaurants. Breakfast was good. Clean and quiet.

Parking could have been better

Room was a bit weathered in bathroom area. Not as clean as we are accustomed to in this area as well. Hallways were very dark on the floor we stayed on also in this particular hotel.

Easy acess from highway

This hotel offers adequate accommodations. Their parking lot is extremely tight and difficult to maneuver. For a one night stay is served the purpose.

This was a decent place for a quick overnight stay. Nothing fancy, very basic but acceptable.

For such a nice sized room, the bathroom was extremely small and bath tub has bad rust stains and mildew. Disappointing breakfast with poor selection and quality.

Hotel is great but Expedia didn’t send them my reservation so they didn’t have me in the system. Long story short had to book a room at the hotel and Expedia won’t cancel my reservation so I paid for the room twice because Expedia doesn’t know how to it’s job and can’t be bothered to answer the phone.

Check - in was quick and easy. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly. The complimentary breakfast included a variety of choices. There was a glitch in the computer when I checked-out so I never received my receipt.

Typical off highway accommodations. Very clean compared to some along major interstate highways . Would stay there again . Has good amenities but the hotel is just plain Jane but definitely is good place to stay for travelling home from Florida to North US

Staff was very nice. The bathrooms were very dark and there are no fans in any bathroom.

Pool closed

1st if you are booking and want a pool, this one is out of service! One of the reasons i picked this hotel was because it had an indoor pool, and its not updated that their's is closed! The best thing here is the breakfast, it was good and they serve hot food. Beds were comfortable but not enough pillows. Shower pressure was ok also but very little soaps and shampoos. Lastly had to wait til exactly 3pm to check in! Never had to do that anywhere and we travel alot!! Was only 15 minutes early from driving 8 hours and had to wait. That was sadly a turn-off for me. So over all for the price, not sure it was worth it, for NO pool and other little things. Just ok

Great choice!! Rooms clean and bedding very comfortable. Great restaurant called Duckworths, just down the road. Would recommend and stay again

Bathroom has dirty floors and hairballs

I continue to be impressed by the helpfulness, friendliness, and professionalism, of the staff. They are quite knowledgeable and responsive. Their accessible rooms are fantastic.

Lower priced than Holiday Inn and just as nice. However, breakfast was a little sparse compared to Holiday Inn. Liked it was walkable to Cracker Barrel.
