Room is great, the bar has a better beer selection than any hotel restaurant I’ve ever stayed. Multiple IPAs and even a real Belgian ale on tap, Yes, someone cares. The food is really good too, had a steak Bulgogi bowl that was so good! There’s a Big area for breakfast with a Starbucks providing breakfast sandwiches. This place is laid out so well.

This hotel is amazing me and my family loved It only reason I am giving it 4 stars is that the first room they gave us had no a/c and my 5 month old was crying because of the heat. Staff was able to move us to another room which I appreciate but other than that I do recommend this hotel for families . Cleanliness is top notch the staff is friendly and it’s located in a good area.

We paid with points. Checked in late after a concert in LA before heading home the next morning. We were given a handicap room, which was OK but a bit sparse. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was not included. In room coffee was OK.

Water level for the shower head was extremely poor and frustrating. I stopped taking shower after 1st time. Also the shower curtain rod was installed too high I could not rich it and the shower curtain was too short to cover the bath tub and water was leaking out.

The place is overall clean, staff is very nice, however the parking isn't free and costs over $18 a day which is outrageous. Its only close to one area of downtown...

Only one thing again i checked after 3pm but my room still not available I wait about 30-40 minutes

Only thing that I’m little not very happy was first night when I check in after 3 pm and I did request roll in shower but she checked room not the one I requested and I have to go down wait for another 30 minutes to get the other room not happy about that

The hotel smelled good and staff were helpful and friendly. I made the mistake of buying snacks at the concierge. It was very expensive for two bottles of water, a bag of sun chips and ice cream.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing and honestly concerning. When I checked in, I politely asked the front desk if there was any bottled water available. The staff member responded very rudely and bluntly stated that the hotel “does not provide water,” without any explanation or basic courtesy. The next morning during breakfast, I saw the front desk handing out water to guests, which made the interaction feel even more dismissive, misleading, and unprofessional. The most serious issue, however, was how the hotel handled my lost phone. After I checked out, my phone was left in the room. No one from the hotel contacted me, informed me, or acknowledged finding it. If rooms are truly cleaned thoroughly between guests, how was the phone not discovered? And if it was discovered, why was I never contacted? Either possibility reflects very poorly on the hotel’s operations and management. I had to contact the hotel myself multiple times to locate my phone. I was initially told that I could either pick it up in person or have it mailed. Since I was already planning to come back, I clearly communicated the exact time I would arrive to retrieve it. However, on the day of pickup, when I called again to confirm the status of my phone, I was suddenly told that they “didn’t know where it was.” Only after I informed them that I could still see the phone’s live location showing inside the hotel did they start checking again. After making a completely unnecessary trip back to the hotel, an Asian male employee at the front desk was able to locate the phone very quickly, and I genuinely appreciate his help. What shocked me was discovering that the reason the phone had supposedly been “missing” was because it had been logged under my room number but someone else’s name. When I raised these concerns with the supervisor, the response was equally unacceptable.

Such a beautiful place from the inside and outside. Very clean and maintained well from rooms, to lobby and restaurant. The staff is so nice and welcoming. Five 55 is such a great place to hangout and have a few drinks. I will definitely be coming back to stay.

The staff needs training, front desk is not responsive to customer’s simple request, such as please schedule our cleaning today! And our important birthday cake that’s stored at the front desk for our grandson’s birthday party was lost, no one knows where to look for and we had to wait 45 minutes to find the cake, we almost couldn’t make it to his party! Horrible!

We wanted to choose a reliable place away from the heavy Los Angeles traffic, and this hotel was a good option overall. We had a pleasant stay and appreciated the sense of security and comfort during our visit. However, for a corporate brand of this standard, there were a few shortcomings. Basic amenities such as room slippers and a toothbrush could have been provided to improve the guest experience. Housekeeping was scheduled every two days, which was understandable, but the service seemed limited mainly to making the bed and replacing towels. The floors were not cleaned and the trash was not removed, so the room did not feel fully refreshed. Because we trust the Marriott International brand, our expectations were higher. Even so, we still enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be a good overall choice.

Only issue I had was I went to the Starbucks in the lobby ordered a grilled cheese and was not told they didn’t make them there but the restaurant did so after waiting 30 min and asking 3-4 times we finally got our food only for it to be the restaurant food with fries and not the normal Starbucks grilled cheese The person working there told us none of that when we ordered

Hotel is conveniently located off the 10 freeway although exiting on Atlantic is quite challenging to get to the hotel entrance when traffic is heavy. We had another pleasant stay and enjoyed the close access to many wonderful Chinese restaurants and bakeries.

The was our favorite hotel in Los Angeles area. There were plenty walkable restaurants and supermarkets.

We enjoyed our two-night stay at this Marriott in Monterey Park with our 3 kids. Location was great: quiet, easily accessible to freeways, and walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. It is business-friendly. The room and hotel were clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall, we had a great experience. Would stay here again.

Hotel it’s ok BUT some times there is a sewer smell in the bathroom. Towels need to be replaced. Thermostat in the room lights up all night. Be aware of breakfast. You pay $23 and hotel gives you a $10 voucher per person to use at a Starbucks that is inside the property

The property was very clean or the inside of the building the garage where the parking was looked a bit ghetto and the AC and the rooms are terrible. I have menopause and I was sweating all night. They moved the rooms what was the same thing in the other one as well. It’s expensive rates for nights for wood, but spent the best.

Great location, very convenient and close to the motorway, with restaurants, cafés, and cinemas nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast is advertised as included, but it is actually provided as a food and beverage voucher to use at the hotel café, which wasn’t what we expected from a standard hotel breakfast. Guests with bigger appetites may need to pay extra for hot dishes; however, it was more than enough for us and everything was fresh and tasty — the Starbucks coffee definitely helped.

The front desk staff member was very sweet and made the process seemless. She was extremely kind. The only complaint I have is that there was a small puddle of uncleaned spilt coffee in the fridge. Everything else was great!

I want to recognize Aliza who works in the coffee shop. She was such a hard worker and still had time to be friendly. A couple of cons: the first morning we went down for breakfast and was told they were not serving the hot food because the hotel had an event and the staff/kitchen was not available! Apparently the kitchen is in one part of the hotel and the restaurants in another. When you order food they put it uncovered on carts and roll it through the hotel including the lobby and deliver it to the bistro and the Five 55 restaurant! It was kind of a turn off to see this. Finally the room service was ok. A couple of times they forgot to clean the coffee station. Besides when we got the room there was something spilt on the wall and curtain. Another time they refilled the coffee but forgot the sugar and the coffee cup lids as well as not cleaning the coffee station. Other than these few things it was a pleasant stay. The hotel had events in three of the four days we were there and was busy but the noise did not carry to the rooms.

The bed sheets had stains when we checked in. At night, no staff came to change them, and we were only given extra sheets to replace them ourselves.

It is a clean and updated hotel. It has nice dining options and the gym was great! It even has bidets. The only thing that was bothersome was the bathroom fan was loud and didn’t turn off otherwise I recommend!

We had a very comfortable stay at this hotel. The lobby was beautiful, and the receptionist who helped us at check in was very friendly and accommodating despite us arriving late in the evening. Our room was very clean, and the bathroom even had a Toto toilet with heated seat and bidet functions! Very pleased with this property.

Marriott never disappoint us wherever we go. This location in Monterey is must if you’re LA. Not too busy, not so much traffic, restaurant just across the street. Down the main road you can find lot of restaurants.

Room was clean and modern and plenty of space, a free computer station so it was easy to check in to my flight and print.

The Staff was Amazing, professional, very informative, very welcoming, very accommodating, overall customer service as we say "Chef's Kiss". My hotel room was very clean, the view from my hotel room was absolutely beautiful. If I'm ever in LA, I will definitely book my hotel stay at this location. I will highly recommend this location to family and friends.

Sliding bathroom door has huge gaps exposing toilet to room. offers no privacy or lock from other people in room. This is a huge oversight in the design of the room. Bedside lights do not light up the nightstand beneath them. No safe in room. Ice machine hard to find, not centered on the floor. Room is decent for price, but the bathroom door is a deal breaker. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Great Chinese food everywhere outside of course

We had such a great stay here! Restaurants near by and dine in options in the hotel as well. Also an AMC in case you want to catch a movie. It’s about 25 min from down town LA which was not bad. Felt very safe walking around at night. And they had a STARBUCKS at the entrance which was amazing!!! We will definitely stay here again if we come back.

Our room was clean and comfortable and we loved it. The hotel offers “breakfast included” package (which of course had extra cost) which I took for me and my husband. We were given vouchers when we checked in and the breakfast for 2 has limited value of $30 to order items from the hotel bistro. That restriction to $30 total was a bit tough as most of their regular breakfast items are priced close to $15 each (plus tax) and not a lot of options, although the food was good. We ended paying for the excess plus additional coffee or juice for both of us. I was kinda expecting a breakfast buffet type. We still had an awesome experience and would stay at this hotel in our future visits in LA.

Convenient for dining lots of stores around walkable that’s what we like. Family visiting L.A for the first time from Canada but not the first time staying at courtyards we were staying for eight nights. We expected courtyard hotel will have laundry machine in the property. We had to do laundry at my friend’s apartment, so inconvenience. We run out shampoo and body wash. We told the lady cleaner to refill but we still didn’t get anything. the room wasn’t clean under the table was so dusty.

That was just a stop over. We have always like the Marriott hotel. Just that in recent years its room rate has gone sky high. So when we saw the deal for our stay, we took it.

While commonly found in Japanese hotels, this was the first U.S. hotel room bathroom that we've encountered that was equipped with a Toto washlet. Shower was spacious with a thoughtfully placed faucet (so it is impossible to get blasted by cold water when starting the water). Yay!

I like how helpful and friendly the staff was at this location. Me and my wife did not have issues with check in, or parking. The location is very convenient if you do not intend to go into downtown LA. I will stay here again.

Our stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Monterey Bay, Monterey Park, California, was nothing short of excellent. From check-in to check-out, the service was seamless. The staff were friendly, efficient, and always willing to help with any needs or questions we had during our visit. The location was perfect—close to all of our adventures, including Universal Studios, a Dodgers vs. Blue Jays game, Malibu, Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood, and the Griffith Observatory. It made getting around incredibly convenient. The amenities were top-notch. We loved the 5-5-5-5 restaurant—delicious food and a welcoming staff. The bistro downstairs, which doubles as a Starbucks, was a great bonus. We were pleasantly surprised to receive $30 in breakfast coupons for each day of our 5-night stay, which was an amazing touch. Our kids had a blast at the pool and enjoyed the gym area. The lobby was truly stunning—spacious, inviting, and relaxing. It became one of our favorite spots to unwind after a busy day. Overall, I can confidently give this hotel a 5-star rating for its relaxing ambiance, excellent amenities, perfect location, and exceptional service. We will definitely be back!

Good customer service. House keeping is every other day.only issue I had was breakfast wasn’t included & hotels walls were so thin you could hear every thing from the next room.

I tried the key multiple times, but it wouldn’t open the door. So, I had to go all the way back to the lobby, exhausted and carrying all my belongings, to get another key. The same thing happened to my friend when he tried to check in.

This hotel was much more upscale than I expected with clean rooms and a lovely lobby and several restaurants. Staff was accommodating and helpful and the bartender was friendly and helpful ( I arrived late and had to feed my son). It was a very nice experience at a great price and easy access to key locations like dodger stadium.

Stayed with my wife and kids for a week. We loved it. Safe, parking was only 18$ a night. Clean room and friendly staff.

The breakfast not too many choices. And I ask for the hot water, one of the server(the old man) said that this time he gave me for free, but he will charged for next time. That’s soooooo ridiculous. I never heard any of restaurants charge for hot water. His attitude was so bad. Just because I didn’t order anything and only ask for the hot water. I was so disappointed with his service.

I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. The air conditioning didn’t work for two nights, which made the room extremely uncomfortable. After the first night, I reported the issue to the front desk and was told someone would fix it during the day—but when we returned the second night, it still wasn’t working. On top of that, the shower pressure was very weak, making it difficult to even take a proper shower. Overall, the lack of responsiveness and poor maintenance made for a frustrating stay. Would not recommend based on this experience.

The facility is new and the room is spacious.

The service at the restaurant on site was below average at best. Had to wait a lot for just about everything. It was obviously just our waiter though as the others were very attentive to their assigned tables.

A very nice hotel! Friendly staff, clean, comfortable room, a Starbucks cafe and 2 restaurants as well. Located near the freeway and close to Los Angeles.

Its nice and good but hope theres some utensils in the room to use.

The location was convenient. The room is spacious, but every time we shut the door, it was loud. It needs better insulation as I could hear my husband talk while I was in the hallway (with the door shut). The bathroom is roomy but no body wash, as in empty! I went to the front desk around 2am to ask for body wash. I heard her say, I'll be there, but still had to wait about 5 minutes. I asked her for a body wash, and she gave me 2 small bottles. I guess I must have stared at the bottles, she asked 'are you ok with the bottles or do you want me to send housekeeping (this was at 2am) so my response was 'it's ok' she asked again "are you sure? because it seems you're not sure" She looked like she was not having a good shift.
