When I called to confirm that they’d be able to do that again I was told “they already had the note on the account.” I was confused and the person on the phone said, “my colleague remembered you and put the note in.” Now THAT’S amazing customer service. It means so much to me that they not only remembered me, but that they are so willing to go out of their way to accommodate my needs. The only issue I have is the hot tub being a little too cool. I specifically looked for a hotel with a hot tub because a nice soak in hot water is a wonderful thing to do the night before my treatment. It relaxes me , soaks out my pain, and lets me sleep well, which are very important things. However, last night the hot tub was just warm. We asked that the temperature be turned up and the young lady at the desk did her best to do that. Unfortunately the water never got hot enough for my taste. But I do understand they can’t have it too hot in case children get in it, but they tried to make it right for me. When I stayed at another local hotel which is even closer to City of Hope, and had a similar situation all I got was “sorry,” no attempt to rectify the problem at all. I Will return!

For the price and location I think it’s fair. Monrovia is great place stay at surrounded by many restaurants, near Pasadena, great hiking trails, etc however the hotel gives old motel vibes. Because it’s much cheaper than surrounding hotels, I think the price is fair but you like updated amenities and modern design, this is not it. The pictures look better than the reality

First off the Hotel was in an excellent location just off the freeway and near a great deal of quality food options and shopping. Being right next to the freeway also there was some noise but not enough to bother my sleep. The one staff member I interacted with was very polite and helpful. Parking and WIFI were included as well. The bed and linens seemed clean and the bed inself was pretty comfortable. I was disappointed the pool was not heated as I choose that hotel because it had one apart from others close by. Safety was my main concern, there was a chain on the door but nothing to attach it too and it just dangled uselessly. There was also no deadbolt on the inside of the door so the only thing securing the door was key card lock outside the room. Being an experienced traveler I have a metal floor door jam I keep in my bag but when I left the room I left the TV on so it seemed as if someone was there. I took my valuables with me when I left the room even if they had to stay in my car which at least has an alarm. A decent hotel that just needs to address these safety issues

When we arrived, they gave us keys to a room that hadn't been cleaned yet. The neighbors next to us were very loud late into the night. There was a lyft driver and a friend sitting in their car in the parking lot getting high when we arrived.

The staff was extremely kind and helpful to me. I had ice packs, that are essential to my treatment, that would not fit in the in room freezer so they stored them in their freezer. The free breakfast is not fancy but is adequate for a light breakfast before heading out for our day. I will definitely be staying here again should I have to be at the hospital early again.

Yes the room stood cool, I liked that the lobby also had tea, hot water, regular coffee and decaf for guest all day long. It's actually a hidden jewel. The young lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Just one thing I might change is the included breakfast, it starts at 7a.m., maybe consider earlier due to work schedules that some guest might have.

All in all, feels like a 2-star maybe 3-star but it’s okay for short-term stay. It’s clean enough. Close to Santa Anita Park.. I don’t think it was good value for what you get, but what is nowadays?

Normally, our stay is great. This time we added another individual to our room. When we got there the hotel had given us towels for two people not three. I included the individual”s name as an additional traveler. If the room sleeps 4 why is there an additional charge for a third person? I am puzzled.

Property was close to high school track meet. Staff was kind and helpful.

Staff was terrific and helpful. Room condition left something to be desired. Beat up furniture, old carpets, walls in need of repair. Linens were clean so that was a plus. Free breakfast was appreciated but on the meager side. Location is the best feature. Walk to light rail and Chick fila next door.

There was no water. Someone cut the waterpipe in the night. I was unable bathe, brush my teeth or flush the toilet. While it is not their fault, it made for a not so enjoyable stay.

The front desk staff was really nice and courteous. The beds were pretty comfortable and the linens were clean as was most of the surface areas. I think the room was clean but somewhat shabby - and some pretty old carpet which isn't awesome. It's near a major road but didn't hear road noise - people talking in parking lot were loud. For the price we paid (Rose Bowl) it was underwhelming but for a lesser price I think it delivers a place to stay overnight.

I am giving this establishment 5 stars because it is under rated in my opinion. It's not fancy, it's a motel. It was clean, the staff was nice, we felt SAFE here, breakfast was simple and did the job. We laughed and had a Good Time. This place is for down to earth, easy going folks. If this isn't you- don't book it. Maybe don't write bad reviews on small places if your standards are too high to start.

I always have some problems every time I stay here but it's the devil I know. Carpet was filthy. Bed was delightful. Parking was easy. Hot tub was sublime. Shower drip was annoying; it's California, there's a water shortage! Staff is always pleasant.

The Inn is just showing its age. Broken furniture, things worn out. Someone had smoked in our non-smoking room, too (not that it's the Inn's fault). It was overall a comfortable night, but it really needs some upgrades.

The extras, soap, shampoo, and conditioner were really subpar. The conditioner was filled with shampoo. No iron. The staffwere very nice and wanted to make us happy.

I have stayed at the Oak Tree Inn on many occasions and it has always been a great experience.

This is a VERY dated property. With that being said, the sheets were clean, the towels and sinks were clean. Sketchy people at the hotel, wasn’t sure how safe our car was and definitely didn’t want to go out at night. The lock was flimsy. Across the street is a nice new Starbucks and Chick FiA

I felt safe there. It was quiet. Bed was comfortable . Air conditioning worked . It’s close to where my daughter lives so I will stay there again . The breakfast items offered were sugary and carb heavy . Plain yogurt would be a nice option . Gluten free option would be nice. Small bags of nuts would be a good protein since eggs were not available.

The staff were very helpful and courteous. The location was what we wanted as it was close to an event we attended. The room was very warm when we arrived and the air conditioner was so noisy that we had to turn it off to go to sleep. The room was fairly quiet considering it was next to the freeway. There was an emergency response event while we were there with police and fire vehicles on site. We don't know what happened.

The chairs are so filthy even sit on them. Places is horrible dirty and I couldn’t wait to get the heck out of there.

The place was a little outdated but clean, there is a decent size frig and Keurig, front desk manager was very friendly and they had bagels, yogurt, and granola bars and coffee. Ac didnt keep the room cool at all it was warm all night in there and we had ants in the bathroom. Went to the front desk in the morning to let them know and was told i would get a phone call from them and never got one

arrived late and check in was very easy and fast. beds very comfortable. a/c worked great. room and bathroom was clean, except for a cobweb at the ceiling corner. closet space was really large! mini fridge was larger than anticipated as well. definitely some areas are old and need some attention, but excellent for a budget hotel. the one drawback is that the wifi only worked for about 2% of the time.

The location of the hotel is good for visiting friends and family, access to the 210 freeway, and going to Santa Anita Racetrack. The carpets are soiled and worn. The in-room coffee maker was full of scum. The bathroom, however, was seemingly new and the mattress very comfortable.

My recent stay at the Oaktree Inn was very pleasant. The staff was very accommodating to my needs especially when I needed to print out several business related documents. I offered to pay for the printing costs but they declined and permitted me to print out the documents I needed. The housekeeping staff cleaned the room each day during my 4-5 night stay. I know many hotels that I've stayed at only clean every other or every third day. Not so good. In my opinion, choosing Oaktree was a good decision for me. I would stay again on future travels to the area.

Toilet paper stuck in the per-hole, light switch as you walk into the unit is shorted out, tissue cover fell to the floor when get a tissue and tv remote only turns on the tv and nothing else.

Overall, the cleanliness of the hotel needs attention: liquid stain marks in hallway and stairs. Plenty of parking during our stay. Landscape kept in good condition. All the lights worked. Pool and jacuzzi was clean and in good condition. Shower water pressure was good and strong. However, the handles and controls needs replacing. The furniture in the room was mismatched.

Basic room with tv, fridge etc. Bedding and towels clean. Floor in bathroom could be cleaner (as in looked clean but when wiping up water from shower there was dirt on the towel), also handle on shower faucet came off. They offer to supply a microwave, and the front desk clerk brought it right away, but the outlet he plugged it into blew after 5 seconds. But pool and hot tub were nice, staff were all nice, and it was basically fine.

Friendly, but NOT NON-SMOKING PROPERTY as advertised. There's an ashtray at the entrance of the office. Terrible parking 50% of the parking is compact and my Pacifica did not fit.

Front Service was great- the only drawback it really out dated. Having the wallpaper and carpets remove would probablybr much better.

So why was I called to ask me those specific things then got nothing I requested? The place is old and the outside is full of cigarette butts and look old inside the room. The room was clean and they do have a selection of snacks for breakfast which was nice. It is also great location right off the highway and next to a few fast food places. One last thing... The parking lot is extremely small and it's hard to get a full size truck in there. Especially when all the compact cars take the full size spots leaving only compact spots to try and squeeze into.

The carpet in the room was dirty and had many stains. Outside, the trash can, vending machine and ice machine were filthy.

They offer a simple breakfast of bagels, packaged pastries, fruit and coffee. Rooms were clean and beds were confortable.

Super nice young man graciously brought us a microwave. Really accommodating and professional. Thank you for a good nights rest. We had a long trip ahead of us.

My room for a king size bed. No discount for my inconvenience. I declined. There was no remote control in my room. Had to wait a couple hours to get remote. Hot tub was locked with pad lock. Could not get in with my key. Then it was cold. Towels are very thin and small. Beds were comfortable. Kid that checked us in was really nice but overworked with just him there.

The beds and pillows were comfortable, hot water later a long time but carpet very stained, curtains were shabby, and people were outside partying so night long and kept waking us up., could also here traffic on highway but thats to be expected it being so close by.

This hotel got pretty good reviews and the pictures looked goon online but it wasn't all that great when we checked in. It's severely dated and showing it's age. Our room was basic which is fine but it wasn't very clean. We wiped down some areas that looked neglected. We were only there for one night and didn't spend much time in the room. Had this been a longer trip, I would suggest looking for a better place.

The room was big, the price was right, and it was clean. It had faux hardwood floors, an updated vanity area, and the parking was free. The lobby area was cute with nice seating areas. The bed was comfy. It was perfect for an overnight stay after a nearby party. I wouldn't stay there longer than that. The curtains need to be replaced, they were full of tears. There was garbage sitting outside of one of the rooms when I arrived at 2pm; it was still there when I left at 8:30am the next morning. I think the comp breakfast could have been better. It was bananas, apples, coffee, and the pastries didn't look that appetizing. I skipped everything except the coffee.

We were in town to go to Santa Anita race track. Hotel was a close, safe and nice location from the racetrack. Only negatives were you can hear in the room next door and the shower water pressure was low.

The hotel is a little ‘worn’. I had a second floor room and the carpet was dirty. The bed was very comfortable and I was happy that there was an elevator and working ice machine. The location is convenient to freeway access, restaurants and stores. For the price, it was fine.

Easy access to the hotel, right off the freeway. Quiet, except one night that a men keep walking around the parking lot near my truck but told the receptionist & took care of it. Overall nice stay.

The AC was not working and the changed my room. The room was not attended by room services all the time. The floor carpet wasn’t clean and the room smells bad. Breakfast was very poor with no fresh food. The ask me to sign on the charges which was higher than the price of my reservation!

If nighttime noise from traffic doesn't bother you, this is a good place to stay. It is close to many places, the parking is easy and free, and there is a pool that can be enjoyed when the weather is warm enough.

This is our 2nd time staying at the Oak Tree inn. The 1st time we stayed it was a very quick and easy check in. We stay at another hotel after we came back to town, and after our stay there, let me tell you I’d choose the Oak Tree Inn over that other hotel any day. Which is why we stayed again for a 2nd time and will be staying for our 3rd time during Christmas. I love the fact they accommodated us and gave us the same room requested from our 1st visit! Such a nice and understanding staff, love the little breakfast choices in the morning! Great for a quick grab if your headed out fast. All around best hotel/inn ever stayed in and we will keep coming back!

Clean rooms but has a little old smell to it. Sink and bathroom is old and rusty. Only good thin I like about it is the safe parking lot and good area. Other then the old hotel, it is good for just one night.
