Holiday Inn Express & Suites Monroe by IHG

We had basketball tournaments in Indian Trail at Carolina Courts. The hotel was a short distance and it made for easy travel back and forth. We enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The environment was clean and comfy Also had a readily available washer and dryer so we were able to wash uniforms. Quite a few restaurants close and a Walmart. Would definitely recommend!

It was clean coffee was good People above made noise all night I called the front desk at 1am about the noise. She informed me she would go talk to them. The noise never stopped and we finally fell asleep around 3am. We had a full day of activity planned so you can imagine how that went 3 hours of sleep. The whole reason for spending 200 dollars for one night was to avoid hotels that allow parties at all times. At check out I was asked how my stay was I told her what happened and I that I was not happy with response by staff. The woman at the front desk immediately cut me off and said I should have continued to call the front desk. Since the noise never stopped after I called I can only come to one conclusion and that’s no action had taken place. It is unlikely I will ever stay at a Holiday Inn in the future because apparently Holiday Inn isn’t responsible to all guest just certain groups of people. In addition Holiday Inn’s policy of charging 35 dollars security deposit than not returning it for a week is nice little way to make interest when it should be returned immediately. Had I even known I would have paid deposit in cash.

Stayed here just for the night after a wedding and it was pretty nice. The free breakfast was immaculately presented and maintained by the two ladies working there. My only complaint is that when we needed water the night before, there were no complimentary bottles which I can't recall ever experiencing at another hotel. We were told we had to buy water that they were selling.

My only complaint was the juices at breakfast were awful…watered down and not cold. That’s the first holiday inn express that that’s happened in. Overall great place to stay.

I arrived and my room was not fully cleaned due pubic hairs and feces on my bed. Thank goodness it was a Queen room where I could use the other bed.

Smelled too much like cleaning spray and receptionist at check in spoke so softly and with broken English she was difficult to understand. She also seemed to have a fake smile and also seemed that she was still being trained because she moved slowly.

The only objection is that when you book online on their website or through a third party’s website that when you check-in the check-in clerk will charge your credit card an additional $35 fee for damage insurance. I have disputed the charge 3 times and it’s a hassle to get a refund.

Clean spacious room with great beds and pillow selection! Ac was quiet and adjustable. Shower we hot and had great pressure. Staff was amazing. Only thing is no Netflix but that is minor for all the other great provisions.

The front desk clerk was sooo sweet! She has the best energy ever!! The room was supper nice and very clean! I would highly recommend staying there if you need a wonderful hotel in that area!!

Call .. I would call and no response.. I go to the front desk and they say they will send it to my room . I had to go out and get tissue and towels I also couldn’t get a fresh queen comforter after an accident.

What a lovely variety of healthy options to enjoy, including but not limited to yogurts, fruits, juices, coffee, cereals, biscuits & gravy, fresh scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and cinnamon muffins. Thank you. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean. Our rooms were large and comfortable. The mattress was nice and firm. The shower in particular was exceptional. And all of the staff were professional and helpful. Most of all, we'd like to give a shout out to Michelle at the front desk. She was so welcoming and friendly! We were in town for a wedding and when we saw her after our return, she asked with a huge, friendly smile, "How was the wedding?" She's a lovely person and a huge asset to your hotel! She made us feel like we were guests in her own home. Bonus Benefit: We had never patronized a Golden Corral before, and there is one right next to the hotel. Simple walk across the parking lot. Our hotel offered a 10% discount at Golden Corral, so we went. WOW! What a buffet of fresh and fabulous food at a very reasonable price! Nothing. The entire stay was lovely. We will absolutely stay at this property again when we come to Charlotte/Monroe!

Both the interior and exterior were clean. Parking area lighting was great. Room and bathroom were clean. Bedding was very comfortable. The morning breakfast was excellent (my spouse stated that it is the best he has had) and the ladies kept everything well stocked and were so friendly and kind. We definitely recommend this hotel. Lots of restaurants close by.

This hotel is the cleanest Holiday Inn Express I've ever stayed in. Breakfast is real food and not just pre-packaged junk. Check-in was rough as they did not honor any of my requests about room location, preferred floor, etc. but otherwise it was a nice stay.

I travel from Texas to visit my sister in a nursing home near this hotel. The staff is always pleasant, and the hot breakfast is excellent. Since I discovered this hotel there is no way I would ever stay anywhere else. I would rate it six stars out of five!

The only thing I didn’t like was the extended hold they put on my credit card for the security deposit.

Last week, I stayed at this hotel and also the adjacent FI hotel. This one is much better! Cleaner and newer. I will stay here again.

I loved staying here. Front desk was very helpful answering questions. Check in and check out very simple. The breakfast was excellent and had a nice variety. The only issue was the hand bar in tub needed fixing and there was a long crack in the tile on back wall of bathtub. Everything was very clean. When I come back this is where I will stay.

I loved how the hotel was by the mall and had access to many shopping places within close distance. I had a late check in due to my flight and the staff accomdated me. The room was very nice and clean.

I don’t like the way they charged you 35$ in advance for damages and it takes a while to put it back into your account. They should put it on hold until you check out and not add it my receipt they put under my room door had the charge of what I paid for the room but my bank account was 35 dollars more and they said it would be back into my account the next day after midnight. I checked this morning and it’s not there now they tell me it depends on when my bank will post it. I’ll give it a few days to see if it goes into the account.
