Room had a musty odor the entire time and shower head is in need of replacement (sprayed everywhere and was not enjoyable). Only had one person checking out in the morning and had to wait a decent amount of time. I told him about the odor but he was frazzled with customers and phone ringing that I doubt anything will be addressed with the room. I’d recommend avoiding room 585.

The hotel is very kid-friendly. They have a nice pool and the staff were charming. My only suggestion is that adding a hot tub to the pool area would be nice.

The location of this hotel is fantastic and the charm of the building is unmatched. The relaxed and stylish environment is top tier with the spacious rooms being a highlight. Stoping in for a drink at the bar or bite from the restaurant is a must. Definitely going back!

The staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel made for easy walking to the Guthrie theater, restaurants, and the river walk.

The hotel was beautiful. I loved that it was part of a converted railway depot. The entire Mill District was a great place to stay. The staff was extremely efficient and friendly. I would come again in a heartbeat and stay longer! We came for the purpose of seeing the Detroit Tigers play the Twins at Target Field. The whole rest of the city awaits! We had one problem. However, it didn't spoil the overall stay. We had to leave early in the morning (6:00 a.m.) on Saturday in order to make it to the ferry in Milwaukee to cross Lake Michigan. There is only one ferry per day, and we timed it perfectly. When we went to retrieve our car, there was no valet on duty, so we asked the person at the front desk how to pick up the car. She directed my husband to go to the car park and pick it up himself. No problem--EXCEPT--he could not get out of the garage. The bar across the exit would not respond to anything he did to get it to open. He followed the directions, but nothing worked. Nobody was down there to help. It was pouring rain, and he got drenched. I finally called him because we were running late by then. He told me his dilemma. I asked the front desk what else we should do. She called the Renaissance Residence Inn, and someone there manually got the bar up to clear the way so my husband could leave. That put us on the road 1/2 hour late, and he didn't even have time to put on dry clothes. It was nerve-wracking trying to make it to the ferry on time. (We made it without a moment to spare.)
