Clean Elevator too noises and smoking in next’s rooms

Spacious room, strong wi-fi in room, nice fridge Breakfast is the real weak point. Too few things, and sometimes even the basic was missing (one morning there were no mor e yoghurts). The room for the breakfast is too small and crowded. In half the mornings I stayed I had to have breakfast without sitting.

Too many problems to report with this property. Had to check out early and I still haven't received my refund for the unused days.

This hotel was not ideal for an infant. We walked in and the room was up to 1990's/2000's standard. The hotel and room definitely need major renovations. First, the elevator was rickety. We were only on the second floor, but still quite dangerous. The microwave was melted. The bathroom cabinets were scruffed. There was dirt and unknown substances on the walls. The worst part was the bed! We found dried blood on the sheets and bugs on the bed. There was no way I was staying there with my child. Overall experience was horrible. Would not suggest this place to anyone.

The property was perfect for me. The breakfast was great and the laundry area was clean all machines were in perfect working condition. I was totally satisfied.

Love that there is a separate bedroom, kitchen, breakfast each morning. Clean rooms and bathroom. Loved the mirror with the light in restroom. Mostly friendly staff and woman who takes care of breakfast very nice and hardworking. Great location near restaurants and stores. Would recommend and stay here again.

The Hotel is so outdated. My bathroom had a wall that was falling apart, no fan and wall plug covers falling off. Carpet was falling apart and old. I felt like I was back in the 80s.

The room we booked was given to someone else.It had a roll in shower , we got an accessible room with a tub And they brought a stool for my wife to use. The stool looked like it was in workshop 7 or 8 yrs. I spoke to 3 people about it, one was the cleaning person who looked at it but nothing was done. Bought mr clean sponges & cleaned it myself. Should not have happened.

Rooms were old, outdated, and below average. Carpet was old, bathroom cabinet doors were stained / dirty. Spare comforter for the pullout had blood stains on it. There was hair on the clean towels and bed sheets when we checked in.

The employee when we checked in was unhelpful and kind of rude. The hotel had a very bad odor and was dirty. The carpets and elevators had debris on the floors our entire stay. We never got housekeeping and when we asked for fresh towels they couldn’t find any clean ones. Also we paid a lot more than normal and had pay additional for parking in an empty parking lot out front. Definitely do not recommend.

The room was excellent. Really liked the extended stay. That is until this week when I went to book for another week and the room went from $86 a night to $336 a night. Considering I am up here working and not going to the super bowl i had to move.

This was my first stay at a Larkspur Landing. For the price, it wasn't bad. Some PROS: Nice TV in the room. I was traveling for business, so it was very important to have good desk space and a comfortable chair. I take good care of my car, so parking is always important to me. The lot was spacious and adequate. There are many good amenities nearby like In-N-Out Burger, and it was nice to be able to walk there instead of waiting the drive thru. The staff was also friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there were also some CONS: In general, the place was not super clean or well maintained. A few of the provided towels were still dirty. It's always nice to have a fridge, but it was dented and scratched. The paint was chipping on every kitchen cabinet, and the carpet was frayed. The room itself had a weird smell, and there was (no joke) a basketball-sized hole in the window screen that had apparently been caused by the nearby tree branches. None of these things are "deal breakers" per se, but it just felt like they didn't take any pride in the place. Overall, it was a decent stay, especially for the price. 3/5.

The room is right above where everybody smokes. So the smoke kept coming into the room and also late at night people smoke and then you hear them talking. Even if the window is closed, you can still hear them talking on the benches smoking. I really like this place to stay at, but I don’t know they need to move those benches somewhere where it’s not around the rooms so we don’t get smoke coming into the room.

I reached out to Larkspur regarding the deposit and was told $150 for my reservation. While checking in the Asian lady was unpleasant. She didn’t state what the fees were for each room I reserved with one reservation. I was charged $150 per room and she refused to correct it to 1 deposit although I showed her the email from Larkspur.

The vibe wasn’t great. The first thing I saw upon entering the hotel was an unhappy guest making a small scene at the front desk. Then I was woken up around 6am a few mornings later to people arguing next door.

I’ve stayed at multiple larkspur locations and this one felt just like the others in comfort and amenities. I would only comment that my room did have trash left over from previous users. But overall, I felt comfortable.

The shower didn't have any hot water, so I was not able to take a hot shower. Luckily, we were only there for one night, so it wasn't terrible, but it's definitely something that needs to be fixed.

The pictures were taking probably way before or by some blind person who did not see the room itself and the conditions For those who travel to this location, please be aware. This was a complete scam to the traveler. Pictures were taken probably by neighbors or relatives. They complete horror show when we walked in. We saw broken glass. The windows were absolutely absolutely cracked the front porch door the screen was ripped apart , the bathroom was nothing but disgusting hair everywhere urine trash, cleaned the kitchen and the couches were clothing on it. The dishwasher was full. The sink was full. Complete horror show buyer beware please for those who really care for their money and on top of all we couldn’t even get to the bedroom was locked and we couldn’t try to get in this place. The host should be ashamed of himself to put up such an advertisement. Was locked and we couldn’t try to get in this place. It is NOT safe as many these people will comment negatively about visitors . They have vehicles filled with lots full of boxes etc. in the parking. You would feel scared parking your car. NOT safe for kids and families Only positive was kind staff..:) .

The room was very dirty. Mold and hair all over the shower. Linens are quite stained. Kitchen appliances and counter sticky. The floors turned my white socks grey.

This place is a good value for the price and it included breakfast. Its clean and conveniently close to Levi Stadium and doentown San Jose. They dont have a pool or jacuzzi which would have been nice.

Rooms had a strong smell that we had to have all windows open. Stayed two night first night fire alarm went off at 5am, second day it went off at 6pm, when asked the frunt desk why they were going off them didn’t know. I recommend if traveling with family to get another hotel.

Ended up first in a small room across from the elevator with a door refusing to stay shut. Was "upgraded" to a suite smelling line someone 's greasy leftover. The room was secure and quiet. Temperature control was perfect. Found another guest's hair in the shower but thankfully not on the sheets & towels. Breakfast offerings were plenty and service was speedy.

The room i was assigned to stunk like pee and was very low quality care. I requestrd to move rooms and they said they didnt have any room tomo v e me into. Also. They double charged my card and got upset when i brought it to their atrenion. Thjs was a horrible stay. Dirty and stibky and bad customer service

The room i was assigned to stunk like pee and was very low quality care. I requestrd to move rooms and they said they didnt have any room tomo v e me into. Also. They double charged my card and got upset when i brought it to their atrenion. Thjs was a horrible stay. Dirty and stibky and bad customer service

In town to sell a luxury car and didnt feel car was very safe in the parking lot. Unfortunately this hotel has to house a certain number of homeless per Calif mandates. So, there are a lot of shady characters roaming around the front and in the parking lot.

Very nice and great price

The stay was ok. It was because of the noise from people slamming the door on the first floor right underneath us the laundry room plus they have an area where people can smoke right in the corner where our room was located as well. Plus the kitchen did not come with any utensils that we needed and also the dishwasher did not work.

Dark and dingy. Walls are paper thin. The bed was comfy and the shower head was amazing.

Terrible customer service wanted to checkin an hour early they wanted $90. Asked why and are rooms ready and simple answer was its policy but yes the room was ready. So we changed are close in the lobby and bathroom what FUN. In the room one half a roll of TP and not a spare Maybe why they didnt want us in early might use to much TP. Total Corporate greed

Overall the place is ok, their breakfast is not good, limited hot choices and 2 of the three days the hot items were empty and I had to wait.

The rooms were in poor condition. Torn carpets, moldy bathroom furniture, and the headboard was stained. The breakfast was not consistent, the items ran out and they did not supply more. Poor quality. Very dirty laundry area.

Ive stood here about 5 times now or more, have always booked through expedia. This was the first time i had a bad experience. The employees did everything to make our experience and check out great. My problem is with upper management, when i checked in he said i had booked 2 rooms which was false, i had an original room canceled it and rebooked. I provide the cancelation number like he was asking for but kept insisting i had 2 rooms. This all took about 10-15 min to check in when normally 3 mins tops with everyone else ive ever dealt with. As i checked out the very next day i look in my account i have 2 room charges pending on my account? I never consented nor signed for the other room, now im being charged for a room i canceled? Both of them the following day clearing on my account. I myself had to call to tell them the issue that shouldve been taken care of before i left the hotel, But instead i looked and im being double charged. Thankfully the lady who answered the phone was going to pass the message along to reverse my booking rate to my account, but now i need to wait 3-7 business days for the reverse but if upper management would've take care if it when it happened it wouldve never went through and i would be leaving a better review. But unfortunately MANAGEMENT fell short on this one. This is solely on the man i spoke to when i checked in, maybe i will book in the future but as of right now. I will be taking a pass on this location .

This place did not look like the pictures. The 80's called and they want their nasty peeling cabinets back. The dishwasher was falling out of the cabinet and the screen was ripped to shreds like someone tried to break in. I hope they were renovating because the first floor had no baseboards and the entire place had stains all over the carpets and walls. They couldnt complete my reservation and i waited over 30 min. When i left early in the moring someone was sleeping on the couch in the lobby. I was awoken at about 1am with a continuous tapping noise that sounded like someone chopping food or something.

The side door does not unlock with keys from outside. The door to our room is stuck, must pull or push really hard to open/close. Lines to front desk/house keeping busy all the time. The hair dryer doesn’t even turn on. The AC is too loud.

The room was very comfortable and very clean. We would stay again.

Very helpful staffs. Decent breakfast. No water fountain or ice machine, so make sure to bring water. Hotel does supply hot water and coffee.

Haven’t received a call back or anything for my deposit and also a few lights didn’t work so we had to use our flashlights and the security was rude from the start

Room was ok, except their was dried blood in the bathroom.in the floor and the counter. See photos. I will never stay at a Larkspur ever! I will also not recommend your hotel to anyone. I will also post on social media. Yes, I asked twice to clean my rom's restroom. Tried to add photos your app would not let me.

The rooms are nice but need updating. The cabinets are pealing in the kitchen and bathroom, repair in the bathtub is ugly and noticable. Check in staff on the weekend were very helpful and kind. During the week, evening staff was rude, condescending and unhelpful, specifically Maggie.

The price of the room is reflected in the overall experience so I cannot blame the hotel entirely. We wanted an inexpensive room. Close proximity to our destination was a plus however the views out the windows and general condition of the rooms were not five star, thus the rating. They lacked in maintenance such as squeaky beds and entry doors stuck on tile floors making them difficult to open. All in all, this was a decent place to lay our heads down for one night. Not awful just decent.

It was ok, My room seemed dark, and even when the light was on, it made little difference. From a distance everything looks good, it's when you take a closer look it looks like the sheet has a few stains. When I first came in I didn't notice but after leaving the room and coming back I noticed there 2 shoe prints leading out of my room in the hallway.

Used the additional plug on the lamp for my phone went to pull it out and sparked and burned everything on the table told and all the electronics in the room turned off told the manager and he was rude about it called my wife liar and said it wasn’t possible that she had to put something metal in it for that to happen. Never going back

We had an 11 night stay here. It is in a great spot, had everything we needed, and made for a very comfortable stay. The only thing I would say is the bed could have been comfier… but other than that everything was great. Would recommend and would stay again!

the odor in the halls once you enter the hotel its very overwhelming. the fact that management turns off the air condition at nights so its extremely hot, the only option is to open the window but its so noisy because your room is to the highway, the shower doesnt work. i had avery horrible experience. i paid to be tortured.

I used to work at Larkspur and HGI back in 2000-2004 and havent been back since then. Had a great time visiting my old stomping grounds and walked around the vicinity. It's always been a great area and it still is...just how I remembered it but with alot more shopping and things to do. Took my family to tour the area, ate and shopped within walking distance, and headed out for my sister's baby shower the next day. I will definitely return another time!! Thank you Larkspur!
