A little gem within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in Mill Valley. We started the day with a full, fresh, and delicious included breakfast. Our room looked out on redwoods and was clean and comfortable. Amenities for the bath were plentiful and of good quality. There is a 24-hour front desk with friendly staff and free parking on the premises. We will definitely stay there again when in Mill Valley.

The breakfast was delicious. Walkable to shops and restaurants. Afternoon wine and cheese was a great perk!

I loved everything about this hotel. It's right in town, you can walk to the Dipsea Trail. There's a fabulous breakfast spread (though they could use more vegan options) and there's also a wine evening event most nights.

Location was excellent. We walked everywhere. The hotel layout is a bit cut up with its stairs as the most efficient way to get to the room or breakfast. Otherwise a lovely property to stay in the heart of Mill Valley.

The building itself is a true relic, plus the setting is lovely and very convenient to downtown Mill Valley. Both the breakfast and evening happy hour are a real plus. Staff is wonderful!

The cleanest hotel room I've seen in the last decade. Breakfast every morning was delicious with waffles, fresh fruit, and quiche, and they did a wine and cheese tasting in the evenings.

My husband and I stayed in a standard room with a balcony for three nights to recharge. It was a safe, cozy, clean, and convenient place to stay if you want to hike in Muir Woods and the Tamalpais Mountains. The continental breakfast and service were excellent. I highly recommend this place. Thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mill Valley Inn. The room and location were absolutely beautiful. The wine and cheese in the evening and breakfast in the morning are served in a gorgeous location and were DELICIOUS!! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I had not idea that this level of customer service still exists. Everyone goes above and beyond. The hotel is perfect. It's a great location. The best coffee shop in town is a block down the street. It is small and quaint. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. If I am in the area again, I will return to this hotel.

We loved the view from our cabin! It was very quiet and peaceful. I guess you don't need a TV when the scenery is that great but it would have been nice to have one in the room. Also, wish the restaurant would have been open while we were there.

Mill Valley Inn is a charming hotel that captures the calm, classic feeling of the area. Parking, check in and making a dinner reservation were all seamless and pleasant. The wine served outside on the terrace overlooking the redwoods is a terrific touch. We will be back.

What a wonderful stay. The welcome we received at the front desk was warm and kind and very helpful getting us settled with our large SUV and into our room. Staff provided some nice surprises in our room since it was our anniversary. Everything was clean and as described. The breakfast was great. Highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay! I would have given a five star rating but there were a couple things that could be improved… A microwave in the room would have been wonderful. I would also have used a makeup mirror. The bed frame was squeaky. There was a hair in the bathtub. The heater was loud. On the other hand, the location was beautiful with a creek and the redwoods! The nearby park was beautiful. Our host was wonderful and even upgraded our room for us. The towels, robes and bedding were soft and the bed was super comfortable! Loved the soaps and bath salts. The food nearby was wonderful and breakfast at the inn was really good! Overall it was a relaxing few days away everyday life. Thank you!

It is located in town with easy access to restaurants, shops, art galleries and music.

It's in Mill Valley -- gorgeous setting amidst the pine trees, beautiful furnishings and serene environment. Steps away from coffeeshops, market, dining and public transport in addition to the timeless natural environment that's the main attraction of course!

One more big plus: the Inn is a couple of minutes walking distance from the heart of town.

Lovely rooms in downtown area - walk to theater and restaurants. Easy access to San Francisco. The deck is a special spot to sit with a glass of wine.

After being disappointed in our 1st night’s room being small and the bathroom coming up short, management gave us a choice of two other rooms that were both wonderful…and made our stay a first class experience❣️

Beautiful rooms & the location was absolutely perfect just on the edge of town - coffee shop, wine shop, market, restaurants all one direction and easy access to hiking trails the other direction. Staff was so friendly. We really enjoyed our two nights!

Wonderful smaller boutique hotel with helpful staff, tasty complimentary breakfast in a beautiful setting adjacent to Mill Valley downtown shopping. A deluxe experience!

As we are just beginning to open up, Covid affected our stay at this idyllic hotel. Rooms were not cleaned or towels changed during our stay. And our room was immediately above the lunch room. They worked super hard and were extremely pleasant, but we could hear them racing over our heads as they worked to individually deliver every breakfast to the guests. Once Covid restrictions lift, both these 'complaints' should disappear. Perfect location, lovely rooms, quiet, clean, friendly staff. Highly recommend.

The location of this hotel is SO lovely! My husband and I borrowed the hotel's mountain bikes and rode to Sausalito. So lovely! The hotel os also located 1 block from a number of shops, restaurants, and beautiful outdoor spaces to sit and relax. It was only a 10-minute drive to a trail that put us on track to drop into the redwood forest. Don't expect a pool, hot tub, or lobby... Be prepared for the beautiful redwoods around you! We will DEFINITELY be back!

We had no expectations for an early check-in, but we asked if we could park in the parking lot, as Mill Valley is so cute (and somewhat open during our COVIDness). The owner not only was very friendly, but he suggested we check-in at the same time as our room was already open! We loved it so much. It was gorgeous, and the staff very friendly and accomodating.

Clean room good service. Breakfast was included (not noted on hotels.com).
