    That we weren’t around others The bad wifi, the trash cans are hard to use and very dirty.     Nothing There were bedbug eggs on the box spring. The furniture was rotting and falling apart. The door knobs and counter tops were sticky. The doors and walls were black with dirt. The room had not been vacuumed. There were stains and cigarette burns on the blankets. We left and did not stay the night. We were refused a refund even after explaining everything.

    Would not recommend! It’s under renovation most of the stuff is broken or doesn’t work. After my stay I had unusual transactions on my bank account! It’s a coincidence that it happened the day I checked out and then after about almost 900 dollars worth.

    It was absolutely horrible. We didn’t even spend the night in that dirty nasty room. I got there to check in at 2 PM and they didn’t have a key ready, so I went back at 5 PM. They still didn’t have a key ready so they went to let me into the room and there was black mold, the lights didn’t work, the TV didn’t work, there was holes in the doors. We had a family reunion going on, and I had rented the room for my nephews that were coming from out of town. Needless to say we never received a key. I went back the next day and told him to cancel the rest of the rooms Because I had booked it for three days and they only wanted to refund me one day !

    Horrible experience, was given a room with a flooded restroom and toilet not flushing with bugs all over the toilet shower and beds. The room looked as if hadn't been cleaned for a while. When i sat on the bed immediately little bugs came up from the sheets so i left the room and tried to cancel the rest of my stay. When i went to the lobby the indian guy inside was rude and tried to play me, he said he’d promised to give me a refund the next day just so id leave when I asked for any sort of documentation for check out or canceling he gave me a random paper and when i was reading it he got mad and said dont read that and he promised a refund. Luckily i took pics and video of everything and recordings of the actions of the front desk guy.

    No keys available, asked why, was told due to remodeling they were out of keys, so everytime i left my room i had to stop at the office and have them come open my door for me. Extremely inconvenient and unacceptable.

    It was awful. Dirty and under construction. I did not know this at time of booking. Clerk blamed me for charging the wrong card. There was trash everywhere outside and hallways were blocked off by couches. I had bug bites on my leg after I woke up. The clerk was rude. There was not a phone in the room to call the front desk, the remote did not work on the TV and the place that holds a smoke detector, only had a wire sticking out. The room smelled musty and was hot as if it hadn't had the AC turned on ever.

    This hotel is terrible. It is under serious construction. Dusty and dirty. The bathroom has mold, the box spring has urine and blood on it. The area around the hotel is very scary! I had to place the couch against the door in order to feel safe. The pictures on the website are from a long time ago!! I should have ran, but the room was already changed to me.

    The facility was tattered, and being poorly, and slowly renovated. The room that I stayed in should be torn down, and totally renovated, from the filthy and smelly RUG, to the rediculously rinky dink bathroom, toilet, and shower. The electrical outlets looked very dangerous, the room door was very unsafe, leaving a GAPING 1/2 gap between the bottom of the door, and the floor. I stuffed TOWELS under the door in order to keep any CRITTERS out. The person at the fron desk was friendly and helped me a few times, but he DID forget to get me a WORKING REMOTE for the rivketty TV. I didnt get much sleep due to the paper thin walls, and all of the FOOT TRAFFIC walking throughout the lobby area. I was TOTALLY UNSATISFIED to say the least. To say THE MOST, I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!

    This was probably a nice place in the 70’s. This place is cheap but outdated. Very dirty carpet, The room I was in had a smell like oilfield trash. Stained everything. Drywall peeling, ceiling pieces falling onto the bed. Says no smoking but had cigarette butts and burns all over. Somebody below me had a barking dog and liked the electric lettuce. Definitely would not go back. 2/10

    I didn’t even stay at the room because they wouldn’t give my granddaughter a room key until I got there . She had to wait and sleep in the car. By the time I got to Midland it was seven in the morning. So we didn’t even get to stay in the room.

    I had booked a room with one king size bed on line. Never did it say it wasn’t available. I get there and they tell me it’s not available and the only room they had, had two full size beds. So I was getting charged $20 more. For a total of $145.40 for two nights. I get to my room and the first thing I notice is the room is so dim. Then the curtains would not shut properly. All pillows had hair on them and looked dirty. Tv was super dim and couldn’t adjust it. Bath towels looked dirty. Walls were stained and looked dirty. Lots of stains on the carpet. The door had no safety latch. The electrical outlets were loose and will not work properly with my phone charging square. Needless to say, I will not go there ever again. This was a very bad experience! It is not worth it for this price!

    This has truck parking! The property is under construction so it doesn’t look the prettiest. It’s also understandable when it’s an older building. Great price for a mediocre room. The bed isn’t comfy but that’s really the only issue. I wouldn’t stay here for leisure but for only work.

    I don’t think anyone has even actually cleaned the room we had. Behind the door, and the doors themselves are absolutely filthy. You can see so much dirt from hands. Definitely not sanitized. I did check for bedbugs and mattress seemed clean so there’s that. The bedspread had a bright yellowish stain and the sheets had cigarette burns (non smoking room). You get what you pay for but I’ve had rooms in the same price range be way way cleaner than that!! There also seems to be several folks that maybe live there and they walk out and yell at each other a lot. We ended up checking out and not sleeping there, I’d rather be out the money. Lesson learned, pictures on website make it look far far better than it actually is. Don’t be fooled,

    Room toilet would not work, waited 24 hours for maintenance. After “repair “ still same. Staff rude and I had to beg for another room. Room key had to be reset every day or was locked out of room. Internet has to be reset every time you turned your computer off. No breakfast as advertised. Safety locks on doors missing. Mildew in bathroom.

    The room was dirty and there were roaches. Dust on lamps, freezer was frozen solid and needed defrosting. The microwave was dirty. The bedding was a dingy cream color and there was a questionable spot on the bedspread that looked like blood. I guess you get what you pay for.

    The 2 rooms I had got were damaged from plugs, towel racks failing off, shock hazards, hole in shower wall. My wife and I were sneezing , running noses, and coughing knowing there has to be mold behind shower walls. We were unable to get different rooms.

    Got checked into the room and when i entered it looked like someone had just recently left the room. There was still a dirty t-shirt on the bathroom counter alaong with used towels. Both trash cans were full of trash. Television was on and blaring at hight volume and there was urine in the unflushed toilet.

    Staff was very pleasant at check in. Room seemed very “rundown”. Outlets were filthy, to the point were I was concerned about an electrical fire. Springs we’re poking up through the mattress. Cigarette burns in the blankets and sheets (non-smoking room). Toilet wouldn’t stop running. Plenty of eateries nearby. I was there for work, so, it was conveniently located for what I needed. Lady at checkout was very nice.

    There is nothing unique about this hotel. It was so hot in my room that I didn’t even have to use a bed sheet. Air condition filter looks like it’s never been changed. Woke up with a sore throat. Room smelt like a wet rag. I wanted to leave the room once entering but I had to swallow my pride and stay there for the nights I paid for. Definitely will never return back to The Bates Hotel.

    They lock the side doors at night, which make this place a fire trap. They need to either revise their locks, or shut down the inside rooms. A fire marshal need to give them a ticket. I will not stay in one of the inside rooms again.

    I found out you cannot trust reviews, or I’d never would have stayed here. The exterior is falling apart. I’m talking stucco/ concrete from the walkway for the second floor. When you can see wood and rebar, you should wonder. In the room wasn’t better. Floors not vacuumed. Doors dirty. Paint smeared on walls and it looks like dried blood. Coffee/coffee maker? Sure from the top shelf in the closet. Shower or a bath? Wasn’t happening in that bathroom. Afraid the wall would crumble. The under sink was closed off with an access in the closet. Area big enough for someone to sleep in. In fact, that’s what it looked like. Burnt carpet, trash and USED syringe. Burn marks on the tub indicate smoking (in a non-smoking room). Spiders on the walls. See the pictures for yourself.

    IT WAS CHEAP! YOU COULD FEEL THE BOX SPRING COMING UP THROUGH THE MATTRESS, THE SHOWER HAD QUESTIONABLE MOLD ON THE TOP OF THE FRAME; THE SHOWER WAS WORKING, WATER WAS POURING OUT AND NOT SPRAYING OUT; THE TOWEL RACK WAS HANGING OFF OF THE WALL; AND ALTHOUGH I HAD A RESERVATION, THE CLERK PROCESSING ME IN TOOK 10 MINUTES TOO LONG.

    The staff is very friendly and sweet. The Hotel is looking good with the remodeling construction. My room was nice and clean. Large king size bed and I didn't want to get up. Very much what I needed. For the price it's an amazing deal. Will definitely be back for future booking.

    I did not stay. It was filthy dirty and dark and smelled bad. And I couldn’t get a refund..: terrible all the way around very disappointed.

    They have mold growing in the shower and the ceiling, shower had pubes from other people still. The room was not clean at all. Food on walls, dust on towel holders ,food in microwave, floor still had stuff on it, not vacuumed, dirt marks on doors from people opening and closing doors, lamp shade had hair and dust on it. Light switch was so filthy... just not sanitary at all!

    Well the rooms are big. I was unable to get the room I wanted but that was only because of occupancy of the hotel. My only issue is there is mold in the bathroom.
