Hampton Inn & Suites Middleburg

Our stay started off poorly when we pulled back the sheets on both beds the first night and found brown stains on the bedding. We notified the front desk immediately and were moved to another room. While appreciated the room change, packing up and relocating at night with three children was far from ideal. Night 2, after an emotionally draining day, we return to find the toilet in our room clogged. When I contacted the front desk, I was told maintenance had left at 4:00 p.m. and that they would provide a plunger so we could clear it ourselves. In all my years of travel have never been handed a plunger. I was told on-call maintenance was contacted but no response. I cleared the clog and then asked if someone could at least mop the area afterward. The front desk employee came to help was courteous & professional. She explained that she was not equipped to handle maintenance issues but could clean the floor. I do not fault her as I don’t typically handle them either.. Requested some recourse thru Expedia but hotel denied stating we had been in the room for hours, however, we didn’t pull the covers down until we were going to bed so we didn’t see the stains until then. Also, we opted to handle the toilet ourselves, with 5 people in a room didn’t really see much choice at the time. I saw a plunger at my door as a sign no one would be coming to assist.

The breakfast was good. Hot, which is usually not the case for a Buffett. The shades in the room are not dark enough. Too much light comes through the sides.

Perfect spot for a hassle-free, comfortable night's rest. Highly recommend! ​Absolutely no complaints! Honestly, there was nothing to dislike about this stay. Everything from the cleanliness of the room to the friendliness of the staff was completely spot-on. It’s rare to find a place where absolutely everything goes right, but this Hampton Inn nailed it. 10 out of 10.

The room was very warm, heat blasting out. The maintenance staff fixed this within 20 minutes. As a traveling business woman I was unable to do any online work during my entire stay. The Internet/ WiFi was not available throughout the building during my entire stay. Very inconvenient for me.

Staff was great. Very helpful nd respectful. The new texting feature is excellent, loved it. Great innovative technique. I also loved the to go bags in the morning as I was always hurrying out the door in the mornings and could not do the sitdown breakfast.

Pro's: We stayed in a King Suite and the room was large. Con's: The room had a mixture of warm and bright white light bulbs which killed the vibe. The room also reeked of musty socks which made it difficult to enjoy. No EV chargers available at this location.

No freezer in the fridge, no night light in the bathroom, bedding is either a sheet only or a very heavy comforter, nothing in between, night stand gone and only a teeny tiny shelf with no drawer next to the bed--no room for phone or drink or glasses, anemic shower with most of the water coming out of the faucet and sitting in the tub instead of draining. Very poor lighting.

After I placed every used towel any trash that was left was bagged at the door the only thing left to do was strip the bed I also left a tip Hampton inn still took the accidental fee and I’m not understanding why it was only $20 but I’m so confused the housekeeper literally had minimal to do never again I guess I should’ve left it a mess 😌

The only problem I had with the property was when I was in my room a person unlocked my door and was going to come in. That would have been a problem if I would have been coming out of the shower.

Julie at check in was so kind. It as a busy sports event weekend with lots of high schoolers…..she was so kind and patient. The breakfast was great and the rooms were spacious.

Excellent stay. Breakfast was your normal Hilton breakfast. Frozen and reheated. Biscuits and gravy were terrible. But the waffles were the best. Stayed 6 days. Convenient to where we needed to be and quiet, comfortable and clean.

To make matters worse, the air conditioning in the room didn’t blow cold air, making my stay uncomfortable. The lack of integrity from the hotel employees was frustrating; it felt like they were just dodging responsibility rather than offering any solutions. I left feeling deceived and undervalued as a guest. To anyone considering this hotel, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a more reliable and customer-focused stay. I would like to request a follow-up regarding my recent stay at the Hampton Hotels in Jacksonville. The issues I experenced during my stay require the attention of upper management. I am seeking a call back from upper management to discuss my experience further and explore potential resolutions.

The location was very convenient, just a mile from my parents’ house, which made visiting easy. Plus, having a Walmart within walking distance was a nice bonus for any last-minute needs. The only minor issue I encountered was that the kitchen faucet in my room was really loose. It wasn’t a major problem, but it was noticeable. Other than that, everything else was perfect. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located hotel!

The Hampton Inn & Suites @ Middleburg is a great place to stay. They have good selections of breakfast and the dining area is so clean, so is the whole facility itself. Staff are so friendly, and most importantly is the room is so clean. My only suggestion for the management is I wish they will upgrade the bed and pillows. It’s clean but a little hard on the back. We will definitely stay at this facility again and would recommend to family and friends.

We did not like the toxic, weird smell in the elevators and they sound like they we about to break. Also there was a dead roach in the bathroom in the morning.

When we got there the staff Alex was very pleasant and accommodating. One elevator was broken the entire visit but they didn’t turn it off. Sometimes the pool was open the hours it was posted online and then other nights it was closed at dusk. So the internet or half the staff was wrong. When I asked that staff person was very rude. Parts of the room were broken and the pillows were sad and deflated.

It seems as though this location has gone downhill. I typically will stay here when I am in Middleburg. This stay was not the best. They were having some issues with their A/C. In the elevators and hallways, it was just as equally hot inside as it is outside. Their elevators probably need some tending too. Not sure when the last time they were serviced but might be a good idea for that soon. The sheets on the bed weren't staying on, so as I was trying to fix them, I discovered the most grotesque stain of lord knows what on the mattress. Quite disgusting.

None of the bathroom toiletries were filled up after mentioning this twice to the front desk. Cracked toilet seat - though they did come up and fix this. Broken sink drain valve. We were there 3 days and never received housekeeping. Had to get towels from the front desk. Staff was nice but housekeeping is a problem here.

The pool was clean and enjoyable. The breakfast was delightful. However, no one cleaned pool side area which had dirty towel and glass beer bottle. Only 2 umbrellas to shield from sun were available but only one of them worked. Hotel had a musty smell the entire time we were there. I was a bit disappointed because out of all the Hampton Inn's I have stayed in this was the poorest kept one of them all and it looked relatively new. For the money we paid there was no quality to match.

The hotel was nice but I got trapped in the elevator and had to be rescued out of it. I was stuck in between two different floors and I had to climb down between the two floors to get out.

On our first day, Breakfast room was short handed. Single person could not keep up with demand as much as much as he tried. Coffee out, cups out, trash overflowing. Not his fault. He needed a backup. We were there for 3 days, and it was mentioned we would have room serviced on second day. I requested service for that day. Beds were made, trash removed and fresh towels provided. Kitchen area was not cleaned and no additional coffee was provided. On a good note we enjoyed the plentiful bacon at breakfast on our second day! No mustard for sausage bisquicks on third day. Only gravy. Not our first visit and we will stay again another time.

House keeping was not so good. Everything else was fine.

I made my reservation on hotels.com. I called the hotel and received verbal confirmed that I was getting a mobility accessible suite days prior to my arrival. At check in I found it to be hearing accessible only. The did provide me with a shower chair. Housekeeping had not serviced the room yet so they finished around 3:30pm. The reception was very friendly. Hotel parking lot was clean well kept, reception area and lobby was clean all tables were wiped down and clean in overall appearance. Cookies in the evening. The air flow is almost non existent in the dining/ tv area. Perhaps a ceiling fan or something to move the air around. It gets way too warm and no one was in there but myself and it’s only April. I would stay here again. Room was clean, linens towels in good condition. Bed and pillows were in good shape. They also have sundries/ snacks pop water for sale. I don’t believe they have beer. One thing I did notice as soon as I walked in the room , is that the king suite was smaller at this Hampton Inn compared to the other Hampton Inns I have stayed. The dining/ sitting area seems like that as well trying to fit a lot in a very confined area. But over all quiet stay.

Well I got to the elevator and it had a horrible burning smell even when I checked out I also called down to the front desk several times the night I checked in for a new blanket cause the one I had had Cheetos or something orange on it never got a answer even walked down and no one was there I talked to the lady the next morning she apologized and I was wanting the manager to call me cause there was also throw up by the elevators that made the floor stink all night and was still there when I left I would like a refund

Best place we’ve stayed at in a long time! Huge suite, so peaceful , clean, and every employee was so kind. We were there for an upcoming surgery and the hospital is directly across from it with minimal traffic!
