Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its excellent location, beautiful property, and helpful staff. However, some guests have complained about issues with housekeeping, noise, and lighting in the rooms.
- Excellent location
- Beautiful property and decor
- Inconsistent housekeeping service
- Noise from other guests and surrounding area

-Rooms were clean but you can hear guests in other rooms throughout the night. -Windows in the elevator were not as clean and had stains on them. -No mattress toppers available. Some receptionist at the front desk were not kind. Be aware of racism and discrimination towards people of different races and classes from those working in reception as well. During my first stay, another guest was given extended stay past the regular late check out time no questions asked. When I asked for the latest check out time, I was not given the same late check out as the other guest. I returned shortly after to tell them I did not sleep through the night because the beds were uncomfortable and asked for the later extension that was given to the other guest. It was finally given in the end. Also, be aware of false advertisement. I was told by David at reception that I would be upgraded for not sleeping well during my first stay without being charged a fee and I was.

I booked this for a client and she was extremely satisfied

Beautiful property, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

Everything
- 5/5
Beautiful room, ample space of room, everything worked. Great location in Coconut Grove. Rooftop pool with excellent views of the town. Nice bar upstairs at the pool. They had beautiful plants and lovely foliage made for a great experience. Price was too high. Food was just okay. The plants needed more water as some looked like they were starting to wilt.
- 3.5/5
Small refrigerators, windows not cleaned well, no mattress toppers
- 4/5
There was only one downside. The room was rather dark, with individual lighting around the perimeter, nothing covering the middle of the room. I had to use the bathroom on the first night, found a small light by the bed, but on the way back it was quite dark and I bumped into a bedpost, spraining or breaking a toe quite badly. This impacted my entire trip, and now a week later it is no better. Better lighting is needed.

Exceptional
- 4/5
Wonderful location in coco grove, lush interesting hotel with breakfast included, beware valet parking as it is very pricey at $57 USD , great parkade across the street , very comfy bed and pillows, quiet room, will stay here again
- 5/5
This was a fantastic spot in a walkable neighborhood, we would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Super unique look and feel. Loved it. But the elevators are a problem in the am.
- 2.5/5
There was a $75 "early check-in" fee for anyone who wanted to check in before 1 p.m. even though the room was ready for check-in. The rooms are very dark and there is no closet space for clothes. There is an open closet to hang clothes.
- 5/5
Great location awesome staff
- 3/5
Lovely place. Food was ok. Staff at front desk really nice. Balcony was very nice. The valet was not helpful when I asked for assistance. Things took a long time together to room.
- 4/5
The room had a great stocked bar, but why charge for bottled water? The staff was great.
- 4/5
Great location in Coconut Grove. Unique architecture gives it a special vibe.
- 5/5
Lovely stay, beautiful space, convenient location for restaurants in Coconut Grove.
- 0.5/5
Good valet parking! The hotel is in serious need of renovation and did not meet expectations at all. The room was very dark, decorated in an odd orange tone, and had extremely poor lighting throughout. The balcony faced directly onto a brick wall, offering absolutely no view or natural atmosphere. Basic comforts were also missing — there was no proper coffee machine, no iron, and the shower had very low water pressure. In addition, the shower lacked a proper door, which meant water ended up everywhere in the bathroom. Unfortunately, this is not a hotel I would recommend to anyone looking for comfort or a pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Great staff. Breakfasts delicious. Rooftop fantastic.
- 3/5
Kind of old. Limited breakfast options. Bar was nice. Rooms large but dark. Not enough chairs at pool.
- 2/5
Great location. Beautiful building. But terrible after that. Service was fair staff was fair. Pool area was not well kept, not enough seating and lounges. Room felt dark and dirty. Food was fair. Would not stay here again.

The property of Mayfair House Hotel is beautiful with the lush greenery everywhere. The rooms are lacking storage, there is none - other then 5 small draws and 4 hangers. However poorly designed, there is plenty of space for storage, empty walls that could easily be filled in with dressers etc. This was a big problem. You do not expect to be living out of a suitcase at Michelin rated hotel. House keeping was very inconsistent, and needed to be called for towards the end of the day. The bar and restaurant was great, as well as location.

Mayfair is a unique property with beautiful greenery everywhere. The rooms are very spacious. Sipsip rooftop pool and bar were a nice place to relax with good views. The elevators are a bit confusing as you don’t get on and then press the floor. There are specific elevators that stop at different floors.

There was not enough room/seats around the swimming pool and it was Very noisy loud music. Nice large room but not enough draws/hanging space for clothes if you are staying more than a week. Breakfast was not good very little choice and slow service. I know you have to have the air conditioning on but it was very cold in the breakfast room . At the reception table most of the time there was only one or two receptionists and when checking in or out it could be a long wait.
- 5/5
Large room, nice location, friendly staff
- 3/5
Rooms are outdated and dirty. I put on a pair of socks and walked around for less than 5 minutes and the bottoms of my socks were black. The property itself was beautiful and the staff is great. The rooms are dark, dingy, and outdated. For the price, there are a lot more options with balconies with a view. Overpriced for what you get.
- 4/5
Ambience, relaxing and quiet Maybe a hotel of this standard should not have the limitation in the menu for free dishes included in the pre-paid breakfast. Maybe a self-service buffet even at a higher price, and a continental breakfast as a lower cost option could be considered

The property is very interesting and in a great location. The plants throughout the property are amazing. The roof top pool and bar are pleasant to be at. The rooms are well decorated but too dark to properly unpack or read a book. The complementary breakfast options are limited (no options for a veggie savory option) and the service is rather slow. The parking is too pricey and one can find parking with a parking app for 1/3 of the price.

Highly recommend

Love this place- the free breakfast, the greenery in the lobby & on each level, the pool & SipSip Rum bar
- 5/5
Property, location, staff, room and food were all excellent. Our sole complaint: the music volume at the pool made relaxing there impossible (and the staff couldn’t adjust it)!
- 2/5
At check-in it was chaotic, no one to help with bags or car $55 a night for Car is preposterous, but I guess par for the course. The worst problem was the dark room. On the third floor there is zero natural light there is no lighting in the room and it is impossible to get to even see what’s in your suitcases without a camera flashlight. In addition, the elevator situation was ridiculous. Everybody is confused it is humorous, but not very efficient. You cannot just push the button of where you want to go. There’s some sort of secret password from the card to the elevator and everybody is confused all of the time. The pool deck is lovely but not enough seating on Thursday through Sunday. Food options were limited breakfast closed earlier than we would like. I’m sure that people are hard-working but overall the price point and amenities did not equate to a great choice overall, we were there for a wedding and grateful to be part of it, but unimpressed with the overall experience.
- 5/5
I loved the feel of the property. It’s gorgeous and located in a very nice neighborhood. They do have open areas and the noise can filter up to the rooms, but there was nothing late into the day. The reception personnel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was really cute. I wanted my server to be just a bit more attentive, but it was not poor service by any means. My bed was comfortable and the rooms are spacious. I don’t care for showers with no doors, but most of the water managed to stay within. It is a bit pricey, but I splurged for vacation. If I’m ever in the splurging mood again, I’ll be there.
- 3/5
Was lied to about breakfast Moldy shower Room was very hot did not sleep well
- 5/5
gret spot
- 5/5
Wonderful property... loved the pool although it closes at 7ish so that was a little early and it is only 3.5 feet deep, but the rooftop patio is wonderful. Our room wasn't lit up enough so it was hard to see things with my old eyes. Overall we loved the location, but might try another property next time.
- 2/5
We were so disappointed with the room. It was extremely dark and there was a shortage of towels. The biggest issue is that we had a room with a balcony but there was no view. We could not see anything outside. We were blocked by a forest of trees and plants. The furniture was dirty and had pet stains. I would never recommend the Mayfair - I was happy to leave.
- 5/5
Best hotel! We had a wonderful experience
- 5/5
Loved this hotel so much. Location was amazing!
- 2/5
There is no front desk period. No one to answer the phone if you had an issue. Housekeeping was unavailable. The rooms were spacious and well decorated. This is an old building so you hear every single door open close footstep toilet flush from your neighbors
- 4/5
boutique hotel, nice vibes, friendly staff, location is amazing
- 5/5
Staff amazing...room great
- 3/5
The room was satisfactory. Nothing bad, but nothing great. The entire check-in, check out, and valet parking service were thoroughly disorganized. The elevator format for accessing floors was unique and equally user unfriendly. The attempt to make the Service chic and sophisticated was an utter and complete failure. The breakfast, which was included, was also average at best. The best part of the hotel was the friendly and courteous staff.
- 5/5
Very beautiful hotel
- 5/5
We will be back again and again
- 4/5
This hotel is entirely unique in it's design. They did a good job with the update, but we found the rooms too dark for our liking. I get what they were striving for, but it would be nice to have enough light to work or read in bed. Check in was beyond chaotic. That system - design of reception area? - needs to change. That said, the staff did make an effort to be super responsive to our concerns.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel. Love the area!

Just very sweet & nice
- 2/5
It was noisy and also an insect in restroom
- 3/5
Room was ok... Staff was ok
- 5/5
I was gonna be mad about the loud people outside my room last night and the annoying elevators. But the hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the rooms are spacious. Also the pool was much needed. They have it heated in January! So yeah totally worth the money. Breakfast was good too.

Amazing

- 5/5
nice space
- 4/5
We didn’t get house keeping service. 3:05 coffee was served at front desk with no cups. We asked for them but never came.
- 4/5
Great location for Coconut Grove; excellent service from hotel personnel; large room.
- 5/5
Amazing property. The rooms are all decorated beautifully.... you dont feel like youre in a hotel you feel.like youre in a modernly furnished house thats being used in a photo shoot! The bathtub is amazing, the bed was comfortable, the outdoor area is stunning to look at and walk theough with the trees and architecture, the restaraunt had good food. Will definitely stay here very time we're in Miami. The rooms and atmosphere cant be beat and its close to a lot of restaraunts.
- 5/5
Wonderful decor and ambiance at the Mayfair, it is special!
- 5/5
Thank you!
- 4/5
Great location and friendly staff. Pillows weren't great and shower did not drain properly but overall a good stay.
- 5/5
Everything about our stay at Mayfair House was wonderful. The hotel is a unique and charming building in a great location. Rooms are spacious and well kept. Spectacular rooftop pool. We can’t say enough about how excellent the entire hotel staff is. We already look forward to a return visit soon!
- 5/5
The staff is extraordinary. Incredibly friendly, helpful and supportive from front desk to pool. Great hotel environment and location. Super clean surfaces and decor that feels even more luxurious than the price point.
- 5/5
Loved the room! So relaxing and beautiful.
- 3/5
Rooms are very dark

We loved the interior of the hotel

Great hotel, great area, great staff. Lacking amenities, food average.
- 5/5
Lots of shops and food near by
- 1/5
Sunday night and paid for a penthouse room, disco blaring from 5pm to 10pm at the pool which made our room shake. Called reception to ask how long it would last for and whether there’s anything they could do to help as wife was heavily pregnant and needed rest, they said they’d call back and never did. Bath and separate shower both had long black hairs in them on arrival. Disgusting.
- 1/5
Room was dirty and staff not attentive. Went for my birthday and anniversary and no one acknowledged either celebration. Had an additional room for my son as well. Hotel needs an update
- 5/5
Everything was in point very good job
- 5/5
*one suggestion, elevators on all suite floors should not require a key card everytime. Card needs to only be required on ground level to access the building.
- 3/5
Included breakfast was 5 items to choose and not even any eggs.
- 5/5
I loved my stay and the hospitality of the staff.
- 4/5
The hotel was beautiful and the room was clean. We did request housekeeping to make up the room and fix lights that were not working which did not happen. Otherwise our stay was wonderful 😊
- 4/5
Great location and unique hotel
- 5/5
Spotless room very attentive staff very beautiful place will come back

Very spacious rooms and beautiful spaces to lounge. Excellent location too!

We had to leave We are kindly requesting a refund Thanks

The concierge Fernando was extremely helpful! My mother and I had arrived after waiting in an airport all day to find out our flight was canceled. Fernando was welcoming reassuring, and we felt safe and comfortable knowing he had our best interest at hand. He had a wonderful personality and provided us with optimal service. I am a hotel owner, I am very familiar with hospitality and he gets a 10 out of 10!
- 5/5
Muy lindo hotel en zona accesible para caminar dentro de un destino pensado para andar en auto.
- 4/5
The room, staff, and amenities were really nice. The only downside was that walls in the room were really thin and as a result I could hear every conversation the room next to me had and all the door slamming.
- 5/5
Fernando y Alejandro, They treated me with great joy and warmth; I will return on my next vacation. They really make you feel welcome. The hotel couldn't have been any better.
- 5/5
Great stay.
- 4/5
Beautiful property, very Miami style. The rooms are a little too dark for my liking. However, the rooms are spacious. The property is situated in the wonderful area of Coconut Grove, where dining, shopping, and the bay are all close by.
- 3/5
Room and staff great but the noise travel from the hallways and central atrium was terrible.
- 5/5
Nice balcony view
- 5/5
I really recommend and I would totally stay back in there. My dog also loved it!!!!! She appreciated the space and quiet in the rooms!
- 5/5
If you’re looking for a traditional check-in desk it’s non existent. Just locate the large round table with staff gathered around. Pretty aesthetic welcome area! An overall pleasant stay! Worth mentioning that if you have a car to valet, be prepared to overpay. Alternaively, you can park directly across the street in the parking garage for a quarter of the price. Lastly, being that I’m in the lighting industry, I’d recommend that room lighting be updated to shine brighter.
- 5/5
From check-in to check-out I constantly felt at ease. From the friendly front desk staff attendant Fernando who answered all my questions and made my stay a breeze, to the pool bartender Landon who offered amazing service. I can’t say enough about this hotel, every time I visit Miami, the Mayfair is my first choice.
- 5/5
I had a great stay at the Mayfair - my favorite hotel in the Grove because it captures the spirit of the Grove!
- 4/5
Great front desk crew! Couldn’t be happier or nicer.
- 5/5
We had a great time again. The staff and service make us happy.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!!
- 5/5
I found the property clean the staff courteous and the are pet friendly. There were shops and places to eat nearby that were fun and engaging
- 5/5
The decor is what brought me to go and it did not disappoint I loved the whole trip.
- 5/5
Honestly a hidden gem we return to over and over
- 5/5
Beautiful and loved the outdoor shower!
- 5/5
Mayfair is my pace. Old world, slow, easy.
- 2/5
Room was very dark and I broke my little toe in the dark, elevator system is terrible and the hallways are outside and it’s very hot.
- 4/5
Greatt plecy, many things to do nearby
- 4/5
Excellent front desk staff! Excellent!
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay in Coconut Grove
- 4/5
Good sized rooms, shower bathtub tricky to grt in and out. Very nice big gym
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 4/5
Lovely hotel with great walkability.
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful and unique.
- 4/5
I was disappointed this time. Housekeeping is frustrating. We stay here all the time because our children go to U Miami. Once again we had a problem with housekeeping. Went down and specifically Asked for our room to be cleaned and we came back 9 hours later and it wasn’t never cleaned. We complained again to the front desk and they brought up fresh towels and emptied the garbage but didn’t clean the room or fix the bed. This isn’t the first time this has happened to us. Housekeeping really needs to do a better job. My room should be cleaned everyday during my stay and I shouldn’t have to ask for this service.
- 5/5
Guest Services, Valet and all personal are always top notch!
- 5/5
This hotel so beautiful, sip sip on the rooftop with pool and bar are beautiful. Staff was exceptional throughout the hotel. Easy to walk to great restaurants, bars and shopping!
- 5/5
Beautiful place to stay with accommodating staff. A plus .
- 5/5
This is our third stay at Mayfair in a year. We discovered a gem. The staff is soo welcoming , friendly , helpful and kind. We loved Fernando and Alejandro! Such amazing positivity, warmth and passion for what they do. The rooms are quiet and comfortable and the rooftop pool and bar is a family fave. You can’t beat the location. Walk to everything. Thank you Fernando, Alejandro and the entire staff for yet another amazing stay!
- 5/5
Very unique hotel with the gardens and the roof top pool and bar was nice
- 3/5
Very nice aesthetic, and staff were super friendly. Would I stay here again? No. The room could have been cleaner, and the food at the restaurants they have could be better. I did like the drinks at their rooftop bar. The walls are really thin, like you could hear if the person next door drops a pen. I had issues with the air, the room would get very humid and warmer at night.
- 4/5
Dislikes: Dark room,no shower curtains and had to run the shower for an hour to get hot water
- 1/5
Lies over lies. Upgrades where??? I stayed at the Mayfair many times over the past 20 years and this was my fisrt time back since the supposedly upgrades to the property and rooms. Let me start by the front lobby. You check in on your own or at a table. Where is the customer service? Then they LIE to you and tell you by telling you they are giving you complementary breakfast and a drink. Suprise i went to the bar for my free drink and it was either a glass of dry red wine or something they make up with vodka. They should tell customers that so we dont wast our time. Breakfast what a joke. Complementary where? They give you the menu and show you 5 things that are complementary and the rest of

Mayfair House & Garden has it down. Friendly staff, beautiful & clean rooms, convenient location, and love the various social gatherings and entertainment they have for guests.

Great property, great atmosphere! Definitely would go back
- 5/5
Hotel was lovely. The surrounding area was great. Everything was close by. The hotel concierge was so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great too! Would highly recommend.
- 4/5
but was annoyed by the many hidden charges. There was a resort fee added; however, the hotel is not a resort.
- 1/5
My room was filthy. And on top of that, it did not have a fridge. I asked someone to clean the stains in the bathroom, and in the room, but all they did was just to dust a little. I bought cleaning products and had to clean the bathroom myself for it to become useful.

Great place to stay! Rooms are very spacious and it just feels great every time you enter the hotel. The staff were excellent, super friendly. If you ever needed anything, they were quick and efficinet to respond. The only issue was that the cleaning of the room wasnt done well, but when we told them about this, they rectified it the next days. It was our first holiday with our daughter and would love to stay back at this hotel.
- 5/5
Great food, drinks and service! Would stay again. The facility is a garden hotel so there will be mosquitoes and fruit flies/gnats, bug spray will be very convenient. Otherwise a great hotel in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of dining options.
- 2/5
We reported it right away to the concierge, who informed us that security was sent to check. We were later told the guest claimed they were “fine,” but as guests, it was extremely unsettling and left us feeling unsafe. Waking up to those kinds of sounds is something I will not forget, and it overshadowed what otherwise would have been a decent overnight stay. While I understand the hotel cannot control guests’ behavior, I do feel that the handling of such a concerning incident is important for future guests to be aware of. For us, it unfortunately impacted our sense of safety and overall experience at the property.
- 5/5
Absolutely exceptional, truly the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed at. I got to know the staff on a personal level and they are TRULY all amazing humans! I’m so impressed! Great area all around with shops and dining. Wonderful experience!
- 5/5
Had an outdoor shower and outside lounge area!! Not hotels fault but next door hotel guest had a dog barking all night!
- 5/5
Very relaxing
- 5/5
The property is beautiful but the rooms did seem needed some updating. Overall worth the price!
- 5/5
Lovely
- 3/5
This stay was mediocre. Area around the pool needs up keeping and lots of TLC.
- 5/5
Outstanding all around!
- 5/5
Very helpful staff, clean accommodations, and a very thoughtful stay!
- 5/5
Loved every minute of it!
- 5/5
Beautiful and unique hotel conveniently located close to restaurants and shops. Loved the roof top pool! Super friendly staff. The rooms were cool but a little dark. Could use more lighting around the beds.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay at Mayfair. Loved the open air concept in the main areas, gorgeous rooftop with pool, room had an outdoor shower with private balcony area. Staff was courteous and accommodating. Walking distance to cute boutiques, shopping area and many restaurants. Will return again on my next trip back to Coconut Grove!
- 5/5
We love the Mayfair. This is our third stay in a year. It’s absolutely lush and beautiful and the rooms are charming and spacious. The location is ideal - right in the heart of Coconut Grove. The staff is so accommodating and energetic and kind. We loved the gym and the pool. We love Mayfair !
- 5/5
I loved the tropical garden interior, and the included breakfasts were delicious. Pool area was lovely too
- 4/5
Food options very poor, the restaurant is closed monday , tuesday . Internet is very bad, Bed Comfort exellent.
- 5/5
Wonderful service and truly an amazing hotel to see and stay at. Beautiful!

.
- 5/5
great hotel, location, staff and decor
- 5/5
Very cozy comfortable yet high end hotel! Loved every bit of it
- 3/5
The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I loved the balcony in the suite and the room was so spacious. It was also very clean. Probably the cleanest hotel I have stayed at. Cons: The complimentary breakfast was almost inedible. My quiche was burnt and I noticed the other people in the dining room also not eating their food. Definitely room for improvement there. The shower nob was broken and you really have to watch your step when getting out of the shower/tub as there is nothing to hold on to. The cost of parking was way too expensive. $55 a day but that includes valet service. Not the fault of the staff but there was loud construction going on at it kept waking us and our baby up. There was also cigarette smell wafting into our room which as you can understand with the baby is concerning. They offered to move us with the construction which I appreciated and sent security to investigate the cause of the cigarette smoke. But still, it really impacted the overall stay.
- 2/5
I hope management takes note of this and have a backup plan ready. Worth a stay, but keep alternatives in mind, because it was unbearable.
- 1/5
First of all, when you check in, they hit you with an extra $40 per day for no clear reason, something that was never mentioned when booking. Second, instead of a normal breakfast buffet, you get a menu where, if breakfast is included, you can choose one dish and one drink for free. The breakfasts themselves are pathetic. After the second morning, we stopped bothering to show up. The cherry on top? On Sunday morning at 9:30 AM, they blasted insanely loud live music that woke up the whole hotel. Guests were shocked. And to make things worse, we were charged $25 for parking less than an hour in front of the hotel. But hey, at least there’s complimentary hand sanitizer by the elevator. In short, this place is run by a truly poor-minded individual who turns what could be a beautiful property into a cheap, miserable experience through their management decisions. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The AC system for the hotel broke down in the middle of the night and there was no AC for the whole night, the service people (housekeeping, security etc) just barges into your room without knocking all the time, the service at the breakfast was terrible.

I had a fantastic stay that truly lived up to its promise! The room's layout and private mini Mediterranean outdoor space were absolute highlights, complete with a refreshing outdoor shower that was a lovely surprise. Although my time was limited, what I did experience was a wonderful change of pace from my usual city accommodations. The unique food options were a delight, and the welcome drink was simply delicious. Huge thanks to the entire staff for their warm hospitality and for helping create such pleasant memories. Can't wait to return.

everything perfect except for the super green extremely dark rooms and sad sad sad breakfast.

We loved discovering the hundreds of beautiful architectural details around every corner in this outstanding building. Convenient, walkable location for dozens of restaurants and every member of staff was welcoming and engaging

Need to work on elevators, pool area, and the way staff responds to room service

I would visit this place again.

Beautiful property and well appointed room. Very clean. Most staff were very friendly. Restaurant was convenient with very good food. Sadly, our stay was not met with good rest as the couple in the room next door were partying with extremely loud music and yelling at 2:00AM one night, until security was called by other guests. The following night they repeated the same behavior and I called security not once, but twice because even after being confronted by security this couple started up the very loud music and yelling once again. When asked how the stay was on check out, I mentioned the problems and lack of rest. At first the staff member was conscilatory, then he stated it is Coconut Grove, as if such behaviors should be expected. He said he would do something to "take care of me", meaning an adjustment in the bill, but nothing was done. It's frustrating and sad that what could have been a rather magical experience was marred by unruly guests and the ineffectiveness of the staff to deal with others who refused to keep their party out their room and into sleeping time.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing for a Hotel if this grade far better alternatives close by! Room was comfortable but very dark decoration, which was a little depressing. Nice gym and swimming pool. Great location close to loads of restaurants and a few nice shops.

Beautiful clean hotel in a great area. The rooms are spacious and lovely. The amenities were also great. Our only complaint was that housekeeping did not clean our room for two days and we didn’t have the do not disturb sign on the door. We had to call the front desk for new towels.

Great place!

The hotel is beautiful the staff was great. The drinks at the bar were really good.

Parking a little hassle, also more breakfast options for vegitarians would have been good.

Very disappointing stay. We were a family with a small child and the hotel put us in a room located just above a noisy, nightlife filled street. Even after we begged the hotel to move us to the other, quieter side of the hotel, as our child wasn't able to sleep, they declined. Also, the swimming pool was filled with hot water. Completely unrefreshing on days where the outdoor temp was over 35c. We visited friends at the ritz carlton pool and it was cool and refreshing there - so clearly the hot water swimming pool was specific to our hotel. Also, almost no available chairs at the pool, while multiple empty daybeds sat empty with "reserved" signs on them. Overall, a bad experience where we didn't sleep well for our whole stay and we had zero ability to be outdoors and comfortable on the hot days. The only bright spot of the stay was the amazing team at the front desk during the days, who managed to cheer up our grumpy sleep deprived child whenever we passed by.

Overall The Mayfair was very nice.

Although is beautiful property. The are not able to accommodate the amount of guest for breakfast. The persona that gave the instructions after we were among others waiting for more than 35 minutes outside was rude, and the instructions given reflect the lack of personal working and low standards of service. They double charged me for things that were paid with a card instead of charged to the room.

Highly recommend

Beds very comfortable. However rooms are very dark with little to no natural light, and the rooms also don’t have many lights, so day time it is hard to see. The included breakfast was not good. Service was horrible, wait times were long, we were denied seating at 9:20am when it didn’t end until 10. We were given a takeout option, and given 3 smoothie bowls that were completely melted with no utensils. Staff were rude when asked to help.

We were blown away by our stay here. We were just having a little staycation for the weekend. Me and my husband enjoy the hotel very much. At night we hung out on the property and it felt that we were on our very own private patio. I didn’t want to check out.

Great location!! Beautiful hotel! Room is spacious! Easy check in and out. Friendly staff .Valet parking convinient($55/day+ tax+tip). Complimentary breakfast nice sit down service, food choice is limited but some are good tasted. But basic room service needs to catch up with others. We stayed 6 nights with kid.

Check-in and valet was excellent, room was good, clean and neat and decor was different. Most botanical lovely hotel. Breakfast service was awful and could have better options. Brought to the table several wrong orders after 20 minutes of sitting on the table they didn’t take the order. Orange juice wasn’t natural and could have better options. Decoration of the hotel was ver nice. Little oasis in the middle of coconut grove.

Great location. Excellent service. Spacious rooms.

I loved the entire property. My only bad review was the water pressure in the shower and the water being either too hot or too cold.
- 4/5
Staff was top-notch — 10 out of 10. Really liked the hotel overall. Only issue was the A/C in my 2-bedroom suite wasn’t working right, so I had to switch rooms. Ended up in a smaller one, which was a letdown. Still, solid place and great service.
