Room was properly cleaned and refrsed every day. But that was the only good thing. Facilities. The gym room is for one person or two if partner/colleagues. Breakfast was a collection of low-quality stuff, with a total absence of any vegetables. I understand the concept of "express" or "budget," but this was at the bottom of it. I had to go at least 15 times to the reception to recode my room key, as almost every time I was out of the room, the key was no longer recognized. The only apology was "talk to the manager."

Useless hotel as a stop over before it cruise. It was a nice hotel overall. The breakfast was great with a lot of different options. The coffee was good. The staff was super friendly. The mattress was a little firm from my liking, but don’t let that deter you. Overall a good hotel.

Only stayed one night for a pre-Cruise hotel. Breakfast was good and it was a short ride to port Miami.

There was a credit card breach of my and another member of my party. My credit card was only used at the hotel facility. However, after leaving Miami there were several attempts to use my credit card. These were detected and stopped by my bank’s fraud alert

The hotel was very clean, good breakfast very each day we received room service. Only issue was with the card key had to go back to front desk couple times. Only thing I had two rooms under my name and was to get my security deposit and was not send back to my Credit Card

We were recommended a shuttle to the cruise port that was booked by the receptionist. We were told it was 15$ per person and we had a party of 6. Once we arrived at the port we were charged 160$ for the transportation, rather than the previously discussed $90.

So airport shuttle back to airport cannot drop you back at departures but it was a quick uber. The staff were warm and friendly. They were amazing people and they made our stay so memorable. We stayed during spring break season and we had no idea. That was our bad. So it was really crowded when we got there. I highly recommend staying on the first floor the rooms were more comfortable. I have a severe reaction to any mold or mildew which seemed to be present somewhere on the second floor. Everything appeared clean but my lungs said it was somewhere on that floor. We initially stayed on the first floor and loved our room and had no problems

My first time at this location and it was a great experience overall. Stevin, Catalina, Arly and the housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and the staff made sure things were replenished. The other gentleman on front desk was nice enough to provide an umbrella when it rained which was appreciated by us. We will recommend your location and come again soon. The key cards were the worst part but the staff were kind enough to help out. The AC was a bit loud but bearable and the shower needed to have more force. All else was great. Keep up the great work guys and your location will be recommended for sure.

During my recent stay, I observed that certain individuals may not be receptive to guest feedback. Upon my departure at 5:00 a.m., a staff member was present. She appeared to take exception to my inquiry regarding the shuttle's operational schedule. My comment was not intended sarcastically; rather, it was an observation that the local workforce typically operates on a later schedule than previously. With the exception of this individual, all other staff members provided excellent service. I believe additional training in guest relations would be beneficial for the employee working the night shift, as it could enhance her professional demeanor and job satisfaction.

Would give this 0 stars across the board if I could. Absolutely disgusting. I knew it wasn’t going to be the Ritz and generally don’t care about it being exceptionally clean but it was gross. Tried to take a nap and couldn’t sleep because I felt grime in the sheets. Left before I had to sleep there and checked into a different spot. Do not stay here.

There is only one elevator and we waited so long that we had to plan to leave an extra 15 minutes early to get to our destination on time, esp during breakfast time. Everything was fine except I was told Bfast started at 6 AM on Sunday by staff that checked me in. Well it starts @ 7 AM and that was departure time to the airport. Very disappointed especially since Bfast was included.

Everything at standard conditions. Employees very friendly and willing to help. They charge $5.00 per day for self car parking. Location very good.

Ac worked really good. Staff nice and accommodating. Our first room had a broken window frame...would not shut all the way and could hear outside noise. Gave us a new room which was really nice. Breakfast was good. Rooms were nice hallways a little dated but definitely not a deal breaker. Perfect place to stay if you just need a bed to sleep in and head to the airport or a cruise port.

The hotel is old and dirty. There were cockroaches in the room, the bathtub was horribly painted with a brush, and they didn’t clean our room because it was 5 p.m. and the lady who was supposed to do it said she didn’t have time since it was time for her to leave. Everyone was speaking Spanish and was very rude.

The location was also excellent, close to everything I needed. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that breakfast options were a bit limited. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Checking was super easy, Antonio at the front desk even signed us up for IHG and got us a late check out. Bed was very comfortable. Fresh Coffee and tea available 24 hours in lobby! Breakfast buffet was so convenient and fairly tasty, good variety. Room had mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. They had a mini market with a few items to snack on or make on microwave. Very pleased with our quick stay.

Stayed here before. Good full breakfast however, the age of the hotel is now showing e.g. the carpets are in need of a scent refresh. Otherwise, it is a good option.

The minor inconveniences were the key card gave some trouble, had to go down three times to the service desk to get it reprogrammed. Maybe a little variety to the breakfast, it was simple but filling. They made a sausage gravy but it was not too appealing. The shower is either hot or cold, no warm option. The pool looks a bit dated. Overall for the purpose of my stay which was hanging out and shopping, this hotel worked quite well for me. I like the location and the nearby conveniences so I’ll still consider staying here again on my next visit.

Direction to get a shuttle from the airport was terrible. I looked at the website and my booking and called the provided number for shuttle set up which is just the hotel front desk. They told me departure door number and no other direction. I asked for the name or marker for the shuttle, but he repeat “door 5”. Mind you it’s an extremely busy airport and there’s nothing but shuttles coming and going every minute. Front desk staff never told us how to know which shuttle as there is even multiple holiday inn express shuttles but they each only go to one location. Wrong driver next to shoved us into his shuttle. He never asked us our destination. He couldn’t speak or understand English. We had to ask where he was taking us and just yelled “1111”. He almost crashed into other vehicles and was erratic. Took us to the wrong hotel and then yelled at us and just kept saying “1111” again. He had to call our hotel and his manager before they finally dropped us back off at the airport and had to wait an hour for the right shuttle. Front desk at our hotel and customer service via HGI were useless in trying to help navigate this mess.

This was very convenient for a night before our cruise however it wasn't super clean and the rooms were very tired and dated.

PROs- comfortable bed, great bfast CONs- dirty pool, found used qtips on the floor, shower curtain didn’t stay on the rod correctly so water went everywhere, a/c in room didn’t work right, whole hotel needs an upgrade, homeless looking guy hanging out inside and outside the hotel.

Did not know ahead of time that I needed to call the hotel directly for shuttle from airport to hotel. After struggling to fin the local number, I called and they send someone after about 30 minutes. We waited in the pickup area at MIA but the driver said they weren’t allowed to pickup there and had to use a different area. Very confusing!

I paid extra for a King Suite, however the TV in the living room did not have cable connection.

It was like a 2 star hotel. Water damage on hallways, room doors didn't open like normal.

I was pleased with almost all that involves the hotel except with two issues: one of the shuttle drivers "flew" past me at the airport despite me going into the street to flag him down; secondly, the desk staff at the time I arrived, did not explain the whole situation with payment and deposits in one package. He did it one at a time: payment first, then deposit. The hotel website only indicated that deposit was required for guests under 21 years of age.

After waiting at the airport for a shuttle for over 30 minutes we called the hotel only to be told that you have to schedule a pickup unlike other hotels in the area that regularly pass by. The shuttle driver failed to load one of our carryon suitcases and when this was discovered at the hotel refused to take one of us back to the airport to look for it. He lied about it being the last shuttle. It was clearly posted that there was shuttle service for another hour. Indifference and no compassion and refusal to take responsibility.

It was a basic room. Older building and could use a deep renovation. It’s in a great area close to nightlife and restaurant options.

Room had a musty smell, carpet completely wet near the sofa bed, toilet basin made a terrible noise,it' s annoying especially at night, we saw a bug near the fridge door needed a strong push to be able to open it, not many choices for breakfast and small area. Comfy bed, good cleaning, black out curtains so good sleep, TV large room and living area, fridge, microwave, sink, coffe machine Pool water seemed not changed for long, anyway we didn't use it, but area was nice. Overall OK...

Great location

Nice laid back area with shopping and dining a short walk away. The pool is small but cleaned daily. Very nice staff and good van drivers!

First, it too 45 min to pick me up at the airport after I called. Second, the van they pick you up at the airport (BTW, you have to call) was completely unsafe—it literally has every light on the dash and it shakes uncontrollably. The drive has to either wiggle the steering or slow down. I haven’t been in something so unsafe since Afghanistan! The front desk attendant was never at the desk. He also had no clue that the small frig had a freezer. Then he overcharged me compared to the price on Travelocity. Finally, the 4th floor smells like covered up cigarettes and bad deodorant spray. This is equivalent to a motel 6 on the side of the interstate next to a trucking parking lot.

We booked hotel because of shuttle service and pool prior to cruise. Called hotel day before to confirm where to stand for pick up and when to call them. Arrived at pick up location and called hotel for shuttle...then called again and a third time! Waited over 90 minutes for pick up. We saw a minimum of 100 other hotel shuttle vans arrive before ours. We considered calling Uber but their pickup location was located opposite level. Hotel reason- bad accident blocking traffic. If that was true, why were so many other vans able to pass us several times??? Will make other accommodations next trip. Also, pool area was small and main smoking area for guests and staff. Pool towels not filled on day 2 of our stay either. Late arrivals extremely loud in hallways, not a quiet place at all.

Hotels near the international airport and cruise terminals charge a premium for their location and that is understandable. However, for that premium cost, they really need to offer hotels which are well kept and looking / smelling fresh. As with many others, this hotel was tired looking, our room door stuck when opening it, wall paper peeling off the corridor walls, lots of grotty corners in the room, stained chair etc. etc. It could really be so much better with a little care and attention. Breakfast ended (unexpectedly) at 9:30 a.m. - probably my fault for not knowing but I guess I just expected it to go until 10 a.m. at least.

Property was clean. Location is within walking distance of stores, restaurants and entertainment. The hotel room door passes, however, consistently stopped working.

Staff was great!! We got in from our cruise at 9am, had no where to go or to put our bags. The front desk rushed our check-in for us, taking care of our bags while we walked around, the room was ready around 11:30am (regular 3pm checkin) Very accommodating! Shuttle to airport and back was convenient and easy. Clean, bed was comfortable. Pool needs a little updating.

I liked that you can walk to shop and get to good restaurants by foot rather than Uber or Taxis.

The manager on morning duty VERY uncooperative in most aspects. Room was fine. Facility in general was fine.

The location is great for walking to restaurants and little less busy of area. Also is close for shopping.

Staff was friendly and went above and beyond

Came off of a cruise and arrived just after 9:00 am they got us into a room super early and were very accommodating. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. Food options within walking distance! Great experience and would definitely stay there again!

Hotel was nice. Staff were pretty good. Pool was dirty. Otherwise a great place to stay.

We arrived at about 10:30, once shift changed at 2pm we asked again, and found out we could have actually been in hours before!! Not ok!! We stayed for the free airport shuttle and breakfast, both of which were not available before 6 & 7, but we already needed to be at airport Please post times for the next guests!! Cleaning was lack luster at best, and Holiday Inn should be embarrassed that their name is on this property

Beds are comfortable and nice to have a fridge and microwave in room. Breakfast had nice options. Not many dining options in the area. Hotel shuttle only runs on the hour. Staff was not very friendly.

We arrived well before check-in time for the day because we’d just gotten off of a cruise, but Alex at the front desk was friendly and efficient at getting us into our room right away, which was truly appreciated. While the hotel is by no means new, it is well maintained and in good condition. Our room was clean and spacious, and everything worked well. While we didn’t go into the pool, we did spend time in the pool deck area and enjoyed the atmosphere there, it being quiet and comfortable, with a variety of seating choices. While the breakfast that was provided was by no means gourmet, it was very good and had quite a few options, which was wonderful to have since so many hotels no longer provide breakfast or charge far too much for it (this one was free, as an added bonus). There are many restaurants and shops within a short walk, and that was also great to have, especially on the day before Christmas, when we were unsure if we’d have anything at all to do. Over all, I really liked this hotel and would stay there again.

Shuttle service arrived within a reasonable time. Due to a combination of distance and traffic, I believe it’s limited to one round trip each hour.
