This is a residential building turned hotel, don’t expect the vacation resort vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive. 409 room is two queen bed with balcony and view to another building and the street. It has a defective bathroom which leaks water outside while using the shower. On site restaurant is ok closes early. This is a valet only hotel, no onsite parking but you can either request a free ride within 2 mile radius which was convenient or request your vehicle, they are very expedious about it. Overall experience 3/5

Easy walk to coconut grove area, with CVS and Fresh Market across the street. Plenty of restaurant choices also. Balcony was nice. Pool was nice and deep, but majority of it in shade after a certain time of day. If you want to tan, may not be your top choice. Ice water kept filled and available at front desk, nice to fill up water bottles in Miami heat. Forced valet parking, plus an amenity fee, causing stay to be almost $80 more a day. $30 fee for on site Tesla shuttle, within 2 mile dropoff… and forced $15 to spend at food/bar, so basically one drink with the forced 18% tip added on. Closet was useless, as 3/4 of the hang bar was blocked by a wall. Made it difficult to hang clothes. Door for bathroom does not provide total privacy… like a barn slide door that you still have a crack in when closed. Shower was also sliding, which causes water to drip out onto floor under the sliding door. Also, there was no vent fan in the bathroom and the sink is very small.

This is unacceptable because it was barely enough for one expresso in the machine! This is false information and certainly not an honest way to sell the facility of a presumed breakfast for three persons which should be served a real meal!!

Older hotel in a great area. Clean and well maintained. Walkable area near great restaurants and stores. Parks and marina right across the street. About 20 minutes to either the airport or cruise terminal.

The staff at this hotel deserve ALL the stars - from the front desk to the valet! They’re GREAT!!

Too few charging ports for phones, etc. Showers are very narrow. Bathroom sinks are ridiculously small and water ends up all over the counterto[ and floor. Never enough towels upon check in (why only three towels, face cloths and hand towels in a room meant for up to four people?). Basically Clean. Generally quiet. What can I say? It's a Courtyard.

However, the double rooms felt quite small, and the sink was unusually tiny, which made the space a bit inconvenient. The view from my room was also rather disappointing. With a few improvements in room layout and aesthetics, the experience could be even better.

Was given a room with an inoperable door and toilet. We couldn't get in/out the room easily. The staff was notified several times and no resolution was given. Staff no available to abate the issue or provide another room

Outstanding place to stay for Opti regattas as walkable to regatta park, area is safe and can walk to a multitude of restaurants. The only issue I have is breakfast. The food is fine, but it takes a lot of time to get your food and when there with kids who are participating in events, need to find another option. Fortunately across the street from Fresh Market so we prepare our own breakfast in room.

When I arrived, it is a beautiful hotel! Housekeeping needs to be more watchful on how they are cleaning the rooms. They cleaned my bathroom but not the bathroom floor. Left hair all over the floor. But beautiful property with fantastic swimming pool. Just it to be more of a fragrance hotel like the renaissance hotel brand.

There was a mix-up with my reservation, and when I arrived at 8am, after traveling more than 12hrs, was told I had no room until 4pm, despite having booked the previous night and called to insure the early check-in. There were literally no rooms available, and I had an event at 5pm. I was desperate. The staff promised to do the best they could, with guest check-outs imminent. I took a nap in a pool-side cabana (comfortable, if hot and humid), and a couple of hours later was gently awakened with the news that they had a room for me. Yay! They gave me a beautiful upgrade and took wonderful care of me!!! Too bad it was only 2 nights. The entire staff, from front desk, to Bistro, bar, valet/driver, and housekeeping were marvelous!!! Thank you all!!!

Liked how close the hotel was to Coconut Grove. Check in was delayed and pull out bed sheets dirty. But staff was nice & brought new sheets right away.

The lobby was nice We had a room with a “view” … the view? A tennis court that no longer has nets and is in ROUGH shape. A massive window to look out and see that dirty nasty tennis court. The balcony overlooked the parking garage. The bathroom was TINY. You couldn’t even pee without touching the side of the sink because it was up against the toilet. If you leaned forward you would touch the shower … the photos advertised for the rooms is definitely not what we got. We would never come back to this hotel again. OH and we got dressed to use the pool and they said it was closed… at 6pm. For the rest of the night, on a Saturday night!

Lovely room and view. Very helpful staff! My only complaint is the bathroom - very small and tiny sink with only a strip of dim lights around the mirror. Not enough light for ladies to apply makeup, dry hair or even wash face. Otherwise, a great place to stay!

Our stay at the Marriott Courtyard in Cocnut Grove was excellent. We were there for a wedding and were pleasantly surprised that a transports included in our stay within a 2 mile radius. The other impressive part about our stay there was the amazing and friendly staff. They never missed a beat and were truly “at our service”.

Location was good, the room was clean. I didn’t try gym or pool, but it looks nice. The shower was too tiny and there was only towels and shampoo, the iron wasn’t working properly as well as telephone. Only valet parking for 38USD per night. So it is very basic and quite pricy.

We were there for a family member’s wedding. The hotel was clean. The staff was attentive. We was able to get a ride to the wedding in the Tesla shuttle some family was able to get a ride earlier in the day to the mall. My only complaint is that the bathrooms in the rooms are so small. I would definitely stay again and recommend to someone looking in the area.

Loved the view, the room, and the service too. The only thing I felt was lacking really was the size of the bathroom, especially the sink. I've seen bigger ones on small boats.

We didn’t have the 30 dollar credit explained to us on arrival and paid for drinks and breakfasts before we discovered that our credit should have covered these. Upon taking it up with the manager we were told tough luck you should have read your booking properly.

The best thing about the Mariott Bonvoy is that the staff is friendly and helpful! That was a plus. We had a good view of Biscayne Bay and the windows kept out street noise. Noise inside the hotel (above our suite) was another thing, however. The place needs a makeover. Peeling paint in a small bathroom, mould along the shower door (bottom), and a real lack of atractive, newer decor make this place fine as a business hotel, but less so as a place to spend a two week holiday. The pillowtop bed was firmer than I had hoped, but the lovely photos in Expedia are much nicer than the actual suite that we stayed in.

Comfortable, great views, ice machine locations somewhat inconvenient specially when elevators show and often were full with housekeeping carts all hrs of day.

Small rooms

The customer service was unsatisfactory. We were assured one thing over the phone prior to our arrival, but when we got there, the reality was entirely different. This discrepancy is unacceptable.

Bed wasn’t comfortable!!!

The rooms are too small, the bathroom sink is a joke and the light so poor without extractor fan. The Valet Parking Arrival area is too narrow. No typical bell carts for the lugagge, Elevators too small. When they modified the hotel, they made a big mistake reducing spaces everywhere. Terrible experience as a Courtyard by Marriott. I was many times in this hotel when it was own by another brand and the experience was great with bigger rooms and spaces. We will never book this hotel again.

The hotel was comfortable but the surroundings could be better kept, in particular the entrance to the garage. People at the front desk where very helpful and welcoming.,

Bathroom so small especially the sink

Ok we love this place. But the only parking opt is valet at $38 night. The drive up area is small. The valet people are great. But close to the U so we will be back. Really this is a great place to stay.

The next day a young lady at Front Desk explained a $30 charge to our bill as a resort fee which could be used towards a breakfast, cabana, bikes etc. which the original Front Desk fella did not mention.

The property is in a great location but no parking, $40 parking for vallet parking, no breakfast is invluded they give a $30 room breakfast credit but food at the cafe is over $15 per person. Coffee is $8 so just imagine for 3 people we had to pay $51 after the room credit. If im paying for all yjis the least that can be invluded is legit breakfast.

This is a very traditional hotel. Room was small but clean.Location is great, but food and bar is a small and very limited.

We love staying here !

We were not properly explained about the $30.00 resort fee. We checked out with over $100.00 extra in our bill for this reason when asked they told us we had access to the extra amenities. Had we know we would have used. Extremely upset with this. Will not recommend. Did not even get a proper excuse to this mistake during check out.

GREAT STAY

Regular checkout was 12 at the previous courtyard we stayed at in West Palm Beach, the night before.

Also, the A/C would not adjust to a higher temperature so it was either "on" full blast, or off. Kudos to the Bistro staff for an excellent breakfast. Also, despite the slight difficulties in the room, the staff we encountered were all terrific.

The property was clean & located in a great area. However, upon arriving to the property we were notified that the property would not have any electricity on Friday, 6/14, from 10-4:30pm, which means no AC & no WIFI. Mind you, we couldn’t get ven enjoy the pool because it was raining. We had to leave & go to another hotel where our co-worker was staying to use their WiFi. When we returned at 6:15pm, the electricity was still out. Very disappointed!

Whitney was a pleasure checking us in. the cafe staff was very nice and attentive. the room and property was very clean. thet make you pay a nightly service charge but you are allowed to spend it in the cafe. Tesla and bikes on site for short distances. Will return.
