    It seemed like this is the cheap hotel where all the airline workers stay overnight. I had no idea it would be so drab, like going to a government agency office or something. We signed up for a shuttle at 12pm but they called us to go at 9:45am. The best they would do is give us 11:00am. If they didn't have 12pm available, why didn't the staff know this? Then the hotel charged us for the shuttle and the shuttle woman charged us again. I was expecting much better from Clarion to spend the night until our cruise left the next morning. Disappointing, but at least it was only one night.

    Hotel doesn't answer their phone. Tried consistently for 45 minutes after arriving at the airport. Once we got to the hotel the line was extremely long and took 40 minutes to check in. Hotel needs major updating! Staff was friendly.

    The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The hallways and carpets had a strong odor that reminded me of wet dog, which made the overall experience unpleasant. Another surprise was the $12 nightly parking fee, which was not something I expected given the condition of the property. Overall, I felt misled by the photos and descriptions online. The rooms and building did not match the expectations that were set, and I was not satisfied with my stay.

    Pros: good location to get something to eat or drink and just moments away from the airport and other surrounding areas. Rooms are cleaned everyday & Fresh towels in the bathroom Cons: $12 a day for parking most other hotels are free in the area The cable TV works but the tv needs to be updated by actual tv and couple more channels A charge of $5 dollars for storage of a single package and more if its a big one (it’s understandable if you’re not at the hotel and have packages coming before the arrival that is fair ) but while at the hotel you’re being charged still. Drinks and snacks in the self server store is more expensive than those at the stores. The selection of breakfast is basic for $13.85 No waffles no bacon no yogurt or cereals Late check out shows $25 online but after checking at front desk I’m told $40. Only Two of Three washing machine works and only 1 of 2 drier works as well. Soap dispenser and drier sheets are not available for purchase. The arcade games only one actually works and the others like the claw machine and arrow machine just carry away your money the controls don’t work as they are supposed to Overall the rates on the rooms are good but be aware you have to pay for other amenities if you want them. Surroundings and rooms are clean and a/c works very well. Some staff members are cool, others the interactions is not too pleasing. A simple smile or good gesture goes a long way,

    Heat went out. The rooms were super cold. Outside was warm. Bed was uncomfortable. Hotel staff charged me for messing my own towels up and accused me for using their towels. They are not friendly to black people. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel go to extended stay

    The hotel was not in the best condition and the room was clean, but not as clean as it should’ve been. The shampoo in the shower was impossible to get out of container so I could use it. Sleeping on that bed was like sleeping on a piece of plywood. It was very firm very uncomfortable. I do have to say that the staff was very friendly, but I guess you would be friendly too if you’re getting $160 from one night for someone to sleep on top of a piece of board. They did have free coffee I was surprised.

    The cleaning ladies were so very loud slamming doors. It was hard to sleep in, they took away all of the extra pillows we asked for every day. Most people didn’t speak English at all. We had our bed made one time.

    The upkeep of the property was pretty nonexistent once you left the lobby. I toured the property after check-in and each floor smelled of old water with fans to dry them out. The room had a musty mildew odor. The bathroom was clean and the fridge worked. The sight of bugs and dirt were around the window. The Lobby looked and smelled cleaned with their new overpriced store area. I was told before I booked when I called about the shuttle that it was $10 per person each way. When I got there, I was told it was $15 and it was only a one way. I wouldn't book here again but hey that's me. I travel frequently and if I didn't have my cleaning supplies or room spray, I would have left. It looked as if a camera was in the vent, but I couldn't tell but I did take a picture.

    I stayed one night pre cruise. The bath tub in room 427 had not been cleaned for quite sometime! It was very dirty and visibly stained with dirt and soap scum. At first glance, I thought it was a thin mat placed inside the tub. I asked a light skinned female at front desk for another room and I was told the hotel was fully booked. Suffice to say I could not have a proper shower. I refused to stand in that tub. I would have felt dirty if I'd done so. The hotel itself is very old. The only positive encounter is when Scarlett at front desk changed my shuttle time to the port from 12pm to 11am. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausages. This did not look palatable and I was not willing to pay $14 for that. Bottle water (160z) costs $2.50. I would not stay here again. Neither would I recommend anyone to do so.

    The airport shuttle was very convenient however, very difficult to find. For any future travelers, when you disembark your flight, go to the first floor, then walk down to doors 5-7, walk outside, cross the first two lanes of traffic to the median, you'll find the hotel shuttle waiting area. Wait for Clairon shuttle and hop on. Directions were very confusing on the website, and when I tried calling the front desk to clarify I received no answer, I had to call 5 times before I was able to speak to a staff member. All the staff I spoke to was kind and helpful. The port shuttle was fantastic, staff knew exactly where to go. All in all I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

    The worst experience ever. When we arrived to check in, the girl at the counter was rude and had a bad temper. She didn't care to answer my questions and ignored me when I spoke to her.     Hair in the tub and you could smell the mold. I didn’t even check in, my daughter arrived before me and told me the conditions. So she left and got us another hotel. I contacted the hotel to make sure they canceled and they said I would still be charged for that 1 night but they would cancel. So I called back the next day cause I was still getting text asking me how is my stay going and I called again to find out they did not cancel me. I then informed them that I was given a cancellation number by an employee the night before and was then told that only a manager could do it and being that a manager wasn’t there I had to email them. 5 days later I’m still waiting to refunded

    The only confusion was the MIA Airport pickup by the shuttle -- this is a shared space for ALL area hotel shuttles, but with only room for 2 vans, so if both bays are full unless you wildly flag down the driver you'll not get picked up. The CLARION logo is very hard to read from the front as the van approaches. Door 24 at MIA seems to be the best pickup location to catch the shuttle. NOTE: Shuttle is not designed for handicapped accessibility. I booked this hotel with a lot of hesitancy, but after staying here I have nothing but good things to report. For the price, this was a very decent option. Clean room, courteous staff, and quiet room.

    Awesome shuttle with nicest driver. Fast check in. Huge room. Comfortable beds just a bit musty. Floor was wet even. Great location. Walkable to food. Great shuttle to Pier. Very affordable.

    And the line of new guests wanting to check in got longer and longer. All this at 11 pm in the night. Imagine the frustration of all those waiting in the line. There were two other ladies around reception but never took the initiative to check in the waiting guests, we requested them but we are waived off as if they are busy with some other job…. It seemed the guests waiting for checking in was their last priority. Rest everything was very average (& uninteresting). Hotel charged another $3.49 which was not mentioned at Expedia. And no appropriate explanation. Best part is- Shuttle every 30 min to airport is the biggest advantage.

    This place feels old and dingy. The carpet in our room was sticky in certain spots. The tub is old and stained. The drain was clogged in the tub so you stand in a pool of water.

    The hotel staff were really nice and very accomodating. The room is clean but it does need some refurbishing. The carpets trapped a very musky smell. The water in the shower would only heat at very low pressures. They charged an additional room service fee which only 3$ but i think that should have been charged in booking. They do have a gym and laundry which is nice.

    The breakfast was horrible. The eggs looked wet and the sausages look white like they werent cooked. No access to bathroom in lobby unless staff let you in. Alot of construction was happening. They are also exact with check-in time. If you work with airline you are given preferences over people who are waiting for hours to be checked in.

    It was one of the top 3 worst places I’ve had to stay at ever. Not only did the hotel have mold and open ceiling issues but the room we had smelled of piss and to top it off NO HOT water!!! I would like a full refund but we did stay considering we got in at 2am and nothing else was available at that time. The room didn’t live up to the pictures and it was not as nice as previous Clarion properties.

    Unseasonably cold nights in Miami, but there was no heat. Staff said we’re in Miami, so there’s no working heater in the hotel. TV did not work, called staff 3 times & told someone would come up. Finally, had to go to front desk. Clerk said he had to call manager, since maintenance had not responded to calls. The manager then found maintenance who came upstairs and made repairs. Rooms and lobby are quite date.

    The hotel is old partly under construction. We tried to contact them they would not answer the phone. The staff was not friendly or warm. The room smelled musty bathroom door didn’t close all the way. However it was quiet for its location and the ac worked well. They had a food area they called a restaurant but it was a glorified continental breakfast room that you are charged extra for.

    The property and room is run down. It appears they are making some updates, but room lighting is very poor, bathrooms are showing signs of rust and age and felt dirty/dingy. We only needed a one night stay, so we managed but feel like the price was very high. Read fine print closely - the breakfast isn’t included. It was $13/ person for cold eggs, potatoes and sausage. Also some sliced bread and cereal. A complete overcharge on the food. The front desk staff was very helpful.

    It was nice to be upgraded to a suite, but I do wish there was a better way to check in. There was a huge line as many people were stranded based on the weather and some flight issues. I wish there'd had been a line for people who already had their stay booked and paid for. Staff was doing their best, but the system just didn't really work that great.

    Worst hotel experience ever. They promised an airport shuttle, but they gave me incorrect directions. They said doors 17-20 center median. DONT LISTEN TO THAT!! Book an uber, you’re better off. I called three different times to ensure I knew where to go and they gave me the wrong information and I sat there for two hours by myself. Then I get to the hotel after taking a taxi and my key card does not work five different times. Yes 5 different times I went to the front desk for a new card. I spent more time in the lobby than I did in my room. At one point- I had to sleep on a lobby bench while they checked in other people, and I waited to have my card reactivated. I paid $350 to sleep on a bench. Timothy was a useless manager, and when I asked for his help, he refused to help me. He is by far the worst manager I’ve ever worked with in my life and he made me feel like I was a burden because my key wouldn’t work. I’m embarrassed for them.

    The hotel is very dated but has convenient airport shuttle. The reason I booked this hotel was because of the airport shuttle and also the cruise shuttle. I read that we had to call the hotel in advance to book the cruise shuttle however when I did call, they told me you can only reserve when you check in. At check-in they told me that the shuttle only operates from Friday-Sunday something they didn’t tell me when I called. The next day when I was waiting for my Uber, the shuttle shows up to pick up those that had reserved. We never got a straight answer from anyone about this. We were just told to speak to the manager who we never found. I would not recommend this hotel as Customer Service was not the greatest and the hotel a little dingy.

    Unfortunately, when we visited, Miami was having a cold spell and the hotel offered no heat anywhere not in the rooms not in the hotel itself, nor did they have extra blankets available and it was pretty chilly in there. The hotel also had a stale funky smell to it in general, and it looked as if they were perhaps trying to remodel, but overall it was very dated. I ended up contacting Expedia and they called the hotel to verify that there was no heat and they immediately refunded my money. We then found another hotel. However, by this time it was nearly midnight and a huge inconvenience. I definitely would not recommend this hotel.

    The hotel is without ANY amenities. That is UNACCEPTABLE considering the cost. It’s a HOTEL not motel. Renovations being in progress are not an excuse to leave the paying guests in the lurch! Get something going besides that quasi coffee station. Do it right, guys. Exterior of hotel is also unacceptable. Looks dilapidated: (the architecture/marquis and steel. Finally, end the extra parking administrative tasks and cost.

    The place is a dump!!! I’d rather sleep in my car than this dump!!! I booked room for three nights early February. The first night it was high 50s to 60 degrees; I turned heat on but there was none. I went to front desk and the said - this hotel has not heat. Can we get you a stack of blankets. Given no heat, the staff were wearing winter coats inside. I checked out the next day and got a room at a hotel that has heat. If booking in winter this is not the place to be, unless u want to sleep under 4 or 5 blankets

    Never a good sign when there are orange highway cones in the lobby. Totally horrible and depressing experience. Take my advice and DO NOT STAY HERE. Shabby outdated and scruffy facilities. Hotel is located in an industrial waste land with no restaurants, areas of interest or just people in general. Only the continual, fast moving traffic that is inches from the sidewalk. The hotel restaurant decor is unsightly. The food inedible. The mattress was thin and uncomfortable. Whole thing was such a joke. But its close to the airport so theres that, i guess...lol

    Room was not good. The air did not work hot or cold. Amazingly could have used the heat in Miami! Could not get the Super Bowl on the TV. Went to shower in the morning and the handle to turn on the water fell off. It was sheared before I was given the room but they neglected to fix it. The only save was getting another room at 445 am to be able to shower. Did have to take a later bus because of the shower issue. The room I showered in had air that was only on high! It wouldn't go to medium or low and no temperature control.

    The hotel was kind of dated and the first room they gave me smelled terrible. I was exhausted but still had to repack and change rooms. The second room was just marginally better but it was 2am and I didn’t feel like trying to find another hotel. The staff was nice and helpful but the rooms are second rate. They do have a fridge and microwave- which is good. The one bed in my second room squeaked every time you moved - but luckily the second bed was ok. I DEFINITELY would not stay there again.

    Bad manners of the front desk ladies. You must rent a parking space because the hotel doesn't have space and at the end of the day you are not able to use this space because they parked their shuttles in two spaces and the parking lot is full.     There are soooo many extra fees when you get there. The employees don’t care to try you to help you with problems. They make you pay $13/day for parking but yet there is nowhere to park because there’s so many cars thanks to the owner selling the parking so anyone can park there. There’s NO Hot water!! No heater for when it’s cold and the halls and foyer are freezing and so are the rooms. They CLAIM that the rooms are sound proof They are NOT at ALL!!! They say there’s a continental breakfast which there isn’t they charge you $14.99/ breakfast/ person. Lots of false advertisements. Horrible place to stay. Highly DO NOT Recommend!!! And the rooms smell like dirty diapers and I had been in a couple because we had other people in our group. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in or heard of. They don’t care about their customers at all. Not even sure how they are still in business. ZERO stars!!!

    I regret to say that my experience was not a positive one. The bathroom was never cleaned during our stay, even from the first day. Moreover, the reception staff was unprofessional and seemed uninterested in assisting guests, which made the stay uncomfortable. In addition, we were charged for parking despite the lack of available spaces and were instructed to park on the grass, in an area clearly marked as not a parking spot.

    It was just ok… we used this hotel for a night before we left for our cruise. The food was frozen and microwaved, not what I was expecting since it wasn’t cheap. They offer shuttle to the cruise port for 15 per person. It was cheaper to get an uber, which is what we did. It served it’s purpose, a place for us to sleep for the night.

    The room and the bed are nice but the outside is run down and undeveloped and the breakfast is bad with the waffle making machine broken and no power for the toaster .. Maintenance service is slow and unproductive. Only the young male receptionist is nice and friendly . I wont come back to this place . Overpriced. I paid $400 a night for this place . I should have a better experience . This place is worth $100 a night like a motel .

    The shuttle did not pick me up. My refrigerator was not working my television head lines going through it and my bathtub filled up an inch and a half of water when I took a shower went down for breakfast. They had no bacon no milk that was the first day the second day I went for breakfast. They only had turkey sausage, egg, and potatoes. I tried for three days to get a glass of milk and still I was told no delivery. The worst day I’ve ever had in any hotel. To compensate me, I was given a voucher for breakfast to wear. They didn’t have anything not even milk.

    I’m very particular and always do deep dives into reviews before booking. Despite some mixed feedback, I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. While the property isn’t brand new, it was clean and the staff was extremely helpful. I didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast. Check-in took a bit longer than I’m used to, but that was clearly due to high crowds arriving in town. Overall, a solid stay.

    The room they put up in #500 had a terrible unsanitary bathroom. The old door was so warped and damaged it wouldn’t close completely. The tub area floor was stained/unclean. Why do they put Expedia customers in sub-par rooms? The rest of the room was ok, although not what I would brag about. The area was terrible for getting a meal, very busy street to walk in. I am very disappointed and want a refund.

    The Clarion Hotel has a good location near the airport, with restaurants and shops close to Hialeah. Although it seems affordable at first, it ends up being more expensive since there is no breakfast included and you also have to pay for parking. The hotel looks very old and needs renovation, and the photos are misleading. It is not worth it unless you are staying for just one night.

    In one of the beds I kept getting bitten. I called the desk no one answered. It was late and I had an early flight. So I put a sheet out of my suitcase over the other bed and went to sleep. I left after 6am. The front desk agent was on the phone she took the key and barely acknowledged me. I called back to complain about the bite because I couldn't miss my flight. I'm home now and have a little rash on my back. Will never stay there again.

    They left me stranded at the airport I have low vision I told him this I had to take a cab it cost me $20 then they put me on a sold-out shuttle and I end up taking a cab to the carnival Cruise terminal it cost me $75 I am not got my incidental back as of yet also the gentleman that waited on me was sick he coughed did not cover his mouth not went everywhere now I'm sick for my trip my state was December 13th to the 14th of December I will never visit this property again if I ever come back to Miami very angry and I've never put a bad review of any hotel

    However, staff at the front desk then informed us that she was unable to find our reservation. I always book through Expedia, and Expedia has never failed me. She told me that I needed to contact Expedia directly. After some time, she finally located the reservation, but then charged my credit card a second time, applying a $100 deposit and a daily fee of $3.30, even though my card had already been charged when the incorrect room key was issued. This experience was completely unacceptable. We lost approximately 45 minutes, and it was extremely frustrating to be double-charged, face a lack of attention to detail, and have another company blamed for an internal error. Because of this experience, I will never book this hotel at this location again. It is especially disappointing because the facilities and location themselves were acceptable.

    If it wasn't for the nice front desk lady I'd give them 1 star all around. Let's say we travel a lot and this is one of the most disgusting hotels we've ever stayed in.     The hotel room.was VERY spacious even with 2 queen beds! The only reason why I didn't give it a five is because the furniture was a little dated and you had to pay for parking. But, the sheets were clean, room and bathroom were very clean, beds very comfortable and the staff was great!! I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

    Its December coming from a cold city and trying to keep from getting sick the room nor the building has heat granted even in Florida at night it can get chilly. The front desk said the owner say its better to not have heat to kill the germs. As a nurse and former health inspector how can you take a shower and then sleep in a cold room this is unacceptable.i have 5 blanket and not even correct. Proper cleaning and sanitation keeps germs down i hate i booked this place.

    Only thing I liked about this hotel was they offered a shuttle from the hotel to the ports other then that nothing or nobody was good about this place the rooms was cold and when asked about heat they said the hotel didn’t have heat so our stay the first night was HORRIBLE AND COLD then we tried to cancel our reservation for when we returned from vacation we couldn’t because it was non refundable so we had another horrible stay when we came back I will never recommend this hotel to anyone on top of them not returning my deposit and keep shifting blam to my bank never had any problems with a deposit until now

    I waited for an hour, then before it was my turn told I needed to put my name on a list, and wait. I then saw people who came in after me just get their rooms without being on the list. I finally left for a couple hours to get a late lunch. Once I came back around 5 it was much quicker. Turns out this hotel is used to house crew and passengers before they go to their cruise ship. Apart for that the hotel was fine. Basic and showing its age, but clean and quiet, which was all I needed for a single night. The shower was nice and hot, which was a real plus.

    The room was so foul, the smell was rotted. After 12 hours of flying and checking in. I immediatley checked out and book another room at 11pm at night because I could not stay there.     The signs around the hotel needs to be revisited if they are no ice bins on the floors remove the signs. Johnny postles or small roaches were ever present in the room. Room 226 which seems to be right by a service door is veryyyyyy inconvenient as it’s constantly left to slam and is very noisy and makes it hard to sleep or it wakes you up very early. The thermostat in the room seems not to be able to regulate and that was also an inconvenience.

    The staff was pretty nice however there are a lot of separate services that are not included in the price of the hotel. For example the food is not included. It is a separate charge, also there was a little issue with the laundry as I guess the machines are a bit outdated and takes quarters only and then on top of that the machine to get quarters out of service and I will acknowledge they tried their best to help and give us quarters in exchange however it started to become a bit annoying when the machine ate the quarters and the front desk said they can’t help us and instead suggested us at 12 AM or 1 AM to walk to the gas station… now we’re not from around the area and on top of that I am a woman. Other than that, I will acknowledge that the front desk staff is pretty young and they are chill.

    The room smelled like mold. Hallways also had a funny smell. The hotel is old and not maintained very well. Some of the doors are locked so you will have to go around every time. I do not recommend it.

    Hotel price is very less because they hit you with internal charges. Hotel fees which includes cleaning but they dont do that and if we ask them they start speaking in Spanish. No free Parking (get ready to pay a hefty amount in USD) No Breakfast included(be prepared for the costliest bagel, coffee and sandwiches if you want to dine in) No Airport shuttle transfer as they promise you if its to FLL at the very end they said that they will call a taxi which we have to pay obviously. Expedia, please include all these details while booking

    There was no shuttle from the airport. My wife and I were there to go on a cruise and decided to stay the night before the cruise. The room wasn't very clean the lobby wasnt very organized and the staff was o.k. All said if we do this again we will choose a different hotel.

    About to take the free shuttle so I'm hoping that it's nice and easy with several awful Ubers and taxi uses. So in general it was average room comfortable bed great ADA bathroom. Horrible checkin. Terrible baggage hold and several staff just standing around and couldn't help at all. Would pass on this and find somewhere else if would do it all over again.

    The staff was rude to several customers. The check in process was extremely slow and tedious. There was no place to use the rest room until you were checked in. They said they were going by a sign up list but continued to help customers that came in after other customers. I left and paid for another hotel room. The hotel still hasn't responded to Expedia's inquiry into the situation. I understand that they were busy and working hard but it was a completely negative experience. I wont ever spend money with any Clarion again

    The room was nice and clean, with a great view of the airport. It had two twin beds that were comfortable, although they made squeaking noises with even the slightest movement. The air conditioning worked well, and the room was equipped with a TV, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There was no noise disturbance from airplanes, but occasionally I could hear other guests in the hallway or through the walls. I also frequently smelled weed in the hallway, and sometimes the smell came into the room, likely through the ventilation system. The room doors shut very loudly, causing the walls to shake. The cleaning staff also kept slamming doors in the hallway, which created disturbances—especially when I was trying to take a nap. Overall, it’s a suitable place for a short stay. I would rate it a 7 out of 10

    This site was rundown. Went to take a shower the first night and when I turned on the shower water shot everywhere then the shower head flew off. After review. The shower head had a crack where it attached and the maintenance team reinstalled the bad head with electrical tape. Looks like whenever a repair was needed they got their material from a junk pile

    The stay was terrible. The shuttle doesn’t even open to 6am we were advised but our flight was before that. The restaurant had no drinks food was good though. And all night it was so loud with slamming doors and loud people we checked out at 3 am

    Didn't really care for this particular type of room, the bathroom didn't look updated, . Overall I really wasn't pleased with the type of room that I paid for. How far i had to park away from the hotel...hallway not clean, approaching the room. No tub shower, Only a handicap shower. Not pleased at all.

    There is a free shuttle from MIA. The room was clean, big and had everything we needed to stay the night before our cruise. It was also very well air-conditioned. There was transportation to the cruise Port with reasonable prices although we chose Uber. They have a pretty good breakfast (not included but yummy). The staff was really nice and check out was super easy.

    The stay was pleasant, however I noticed that each day I returned my key would not work. I ended up having to go back downstairs to get my key sorted. Happened for 2 days straight. After that I stopped at the front desk to check it just so I did not have to go back down.

    The carpet reeks of mold so much that we couldn’t breath. We checked out 10 mins after we checked in, I have asthma and couldn’t take the air. The bedding was dirty, the toilet had streaks, the TV only had one channel. Black sludge on my pillow.

    Front desk claimed they did not have the reservation. It took extra time and thus frustration to get a room at a time when the hotel was overbooked. The “night manager” eventually cleared it up
