Very clean hotel and friendly staff. This was my second visit and I had already knew I was planning my second trip. Gerald was always so friendly and remembered me and my friend from the last time. Great bartender and all around guy! The valet attendant remembered us as well. If I had to give a bad review. It would be on the parking and them not letting you keep your key. It just seemed like it was an inconvenience to always have to call ahead for your car. But that would be it.

Our checkin process was smooth but then I was billed breakfast when the reservation said "free breakfast". Look at your bill. This hotel charged me for breakfast. I'll never with them again.

It offers a great location with a full kitchen at a reasonable price. The staff were very nice and helpful. I was too late to try the breakfast, but that comes with the room. My view was gorgeous of the ocean on the 16th floor. I would recommend staying here.

We had a nice stay overall. The rooms are soundproof to outside noise (not inside as we discovered in the AM with the room next to us.) We had a nice corner room with windows looking across the street to the ocean through the buildings across the way. Our bartender was top notch! He made our drinks, brought our food, and was so incredibly personable. But the bed… the comforter was yellowed and had a stain like lipstick on it, but the worst part was the pillows. The pillows are like thinly stuffed down. My husband and I used two and sunk right to the mattress. He said he was up three times during the evening because he couldn’t sleep on flat pillows. I slept on and off because it felt like my head was on the mattress. I’d likely never stay again because of this, or I’d have to travel with one of my own. You need a good night’s sleep. Neither of us got that. BYOP.

Loved how clean the room was and the hotel. Also enjoyed the amenities… 2 beach chairs and 2 towels and 2 drinks each day you stay. Other great amenities as well. Full kitchen and view was amazing.

Had a lot of maintenance issues when we were there which they tried to fix. A/c unit was broken and had to change rooms. Next A/c couldn’t get the room below 74 degrees. Small gym and the two treadmill TVs didn’t work. Breakfast was nice

The hotel is in a great location. You can walk to most places. The breakfast is very good. Fresh food and the staff is always replenishing. The general manager Kevin Waldstein makes himself very visible. He is very personable. He is very accommodating. It was a great vacation. Looking forward to going back soon.

Everything was great . Nothing bad at all. I don’t know why there are some bad reviews about the hotels resorts fees . Every hotel has them and no one gives out 2 free drinks at the bar daily and free bottles of water. I stayed for 14 days and I would definitely stay here every single year . Thanks

Room was very clean and updated. Elevators were fast. Breakfast was okay (scrambled eggs and sausages were over cooked). Overall I would stay again.

This was a very unpleasant stay from the very beginning. I didn’t receive the room I reserved and the room I received was dirty and small. There was bird feces all over the balcony. The valet retrieval messaging service displayed on ticket does not work, the front desk later tells us that it doesn't work and it took another 20 minutes to retrieve our car and we were late for our dinner reservations. The bathroom body wash bottle was nearly empty and never replenished. The bathroom pocket door has a wooden hole to open from the inside and was very uncomfortable. Lastly, the manager Radmila Mitovic is has no empathy and lacks basic customer service. One of our worst experiences.

Dans l'emsemble, notre séjour a été formidable. La chambre était propre et très jolie. L'hôtel en général était propre et très bien rénové. L'emplacement est idéal, beaucoup de restaurants et petits commerces aux alentours. Le petit déjeuner était parfait! Cependant, nous avons constaté qu'il manquait de personnel au niveau du restaurant/bar ainsi qu'au service de voiturier (Une seule personne pour assurer le service n'est pas suffisant et ce fut le cas au resto et pour le service de voiturier tout au long du séjour (10 jours) peu importe l'heure de la journée). Malgré ceci, nous retournerions sans hésité et nous l'avons déjà suggéré à plusieurs personnes de notre entourage. :)

This location was ideal for my stay in Sunny Isles. It doesn’t sit on the ocean, but the walk to the beach is an easy one. I used the fitness center daily, the pool at least once a day. Took advantage of the daily food and drink perks. And it was a safe and short walk to some of the best restaurants! I will likely choose this spot again next winter.

Lizbeth was so nice and helpful and professional. She helped me check in early, she brought me up to speed on all my bonvoy card info and status, she got us a late check out and shared due to be a Marriot bonvoy member all the perks. She was beyond great. The property was clean and neat and modern and the room was lovely!

We stayed at the Residence Inn for 3 nights after a cruise from Rome. It was the perfect location to explore Sunny Isle Beach in a very relaxing setting. Our room was large, comfortable and very clean. The pool area was amazing to relax by and the pool was very clean and warm. There was lots of choice at breakfast too. The staff were very attentive, helpful and very professional. We will not hesitate to stay here again when next in Miami.

The rooms are nice but there is a loud noise in the bathroom that I'm guessing is from the pipes. It's not when you are in there but possibly from the room above you. My room was directly across from the elevator. Extra noise because of the location. The property is very nice, staff was very helpful, and the amenities are on point. Breakfast every morning was fresh and in a clean environment. Perfect spot to watch the sunrise while enjoying breakfast.

Not friendly staff at the front desk. Nice bartenders and staff at the breakfast. Found hair in the shower tub and bathroom floor, absolutely disgusting. The coffee machine was broken and no one came to fix it though asked the staff twice.

Expedia advertises this hotel as fully renovated. I have stayed here several times over the last 4 years and I can confidently say that the only renovations are to the hallways. They have new carpeting, paint job and lights. Rooms are exactly the same except for new paint. The front desk confirmed that all rooms have been renovated, however, everything remains exactly the same other than new paint. Units are not as clean as they should be. Floor is dirty and so is the bathroom. In addition, the NOISE level, is truly astounding. You can hear a pin drop from upstairs and if anyone is in the hallway, it literally sounds like it’s inside your room. Also, there is a garage downstairs where it sounds like the trucks are about to park inside your room. Also, at 2am there was construction going on where heavy machinery were being used and the hotel basically said they couldn’t do anything at all. It was so loud and sounded like all of our windows and doors were open. Would not stay here again. Pool deck is very nice. Across the street from the beach.

Our room was spotless coming in and the friendly staff provided room service for us every single day which was important. We had a few small children with us. The restaurant on top of the ninth floor had great food and the proprietor is great too and went out of his way to accommodate us. It was a great experience and we would stay at Residence Inn again!

The breakfast was phenomenal, the display, the cleanliness and the atmosphere. Everything was very nice.

The room was big and nice. The breakfast was better than what we thought. Pool area was good. One of the bartender was fantastic. The only option was valet parking and the paper we received at check-in said, to text 10 minutes before needing the car but that was worthless. Your front desk or valet personnel didn't know the policy that you have given your customers to follow.

Room only had 1/2 roll of toilet paper and no extra had to ask for one and they didn’t bring and I ended up getting from housekeeping. AC unit did not work well. Seemed hot and didn’t cool. Stayed there before and was much better. May have been the corner room and even had the breaker box exposed.

Front desk staff wasn’t very attentive upon our arrival however people working the front desk on other days were great. Fix your pricing. Stop with your the additional/hidden fees just bake it into a price per night so there are no surprises. And $37 mandatory valet as there’s no self parking option is just ridiculous.

Nice pool, good size rooms. Under renovation and I wasn’t made aware prior to booking. Lobby was under renovation, we could hear construction from our hotel room. The door to our room kept getting stuck.

Everything was good overall. The stuff was great. Many many thanks to the valets who were really nice and always had our car ready whenever we needed it during the day! The only downside was that the place was a bit under construction, and even though I left a note asking for more body wash, no one came to refill it.

The hotel is not safe. Our room was broken into, and the cash was taken from the suitcase. . Since there are NO security cameras on the floor, the hotel management doesn't want to do anything. Your safety is in your own hands. Would not recommend this hotel anymore.

I didn’t appreciate the ongoing renovation and having one elevator.

The ac in the room didnt work, they room was at 76°. I called to have someone come check it and they didnt do anything cause the room was at 77° when we woke up at 4am cause it was so hot in that room we couldn't sleep.

Read the small print of extra amenities offered. Different staff members had opposing details of several things. Eating areas were under construction without any proper signage. You cannot see ocean at all for the majority of this property with exception of top floors as it is across the street. Parking available is not exactly true it is valet ONLY $$.

I get the feeling this property is going to be under remodeling for a while. Front desk was not proactive when our air conditioning went out on our floor. Despite a phone call to the front desk only by being at the desk was another room provided. We moved everything ourselves 3 floors lower. No credit on our balance was ever offered. I would not likely stay at this property again.

The hotel is clean, modern, and in a great location, with nice extras like beach chairs, pool cocktails, and a golf cart shuttle to the beach. However, the air conditioning was a major problem: it failed in both rooms we stayed in, making the nights very hot and uncomfortable. In the second room, the staff gave us two fans to get through the night, but it was still difficult to sleep. We also heard other guests complaining of the same issue, so it seems to be a recurring problem. The staff was kind and waived the charges at check-out, but the A/C situation really impacted our stay.

Rude front desk. Didn’t fix our air conditioning despite three requests. Breakfast was little variety and low quality and insufficient seating with too much construction. Destination fee not advertised but charged. I could go on. Never again.

The cleaning agent used in the lobby was so strong that you can't breathe. Makes you question if they are trying to cover up mold smell. The coat of parking the car was $37 a day but is only $20/day for visitors! Also, the $30+ a day resort fee does not cover the 28/day for the umbrella charge! Ridiculous!

Guests should be informed that the hotel is undergoing renovations and therefore may have some sections closed and workers in the area.

• The location was excellent, very close to the beach. • The food at the restaurant was very good. • The pool had a beautiful view. • The service charge was absurdly high. • The “amenities” included 2 drinks, supposedly smoothies/juices/cocktails, but we were only able to redeem cokes and box juices because they didn’t even have blenders. • In the common areas (pool/restaurant), there was no bathroom access because of drainage/maintenance issues. We had to go all the way up to the 16th floor just to use the bathroom, which was especially inconvenient since my sister is pregnant. • Beach umbrellas were $25 to rent, even though Walgreens sells them for $13 and you could use one the entire stay. • The property is under heavy remodeling, with guests having to walk through the kitchen and ripped walls to get to the pool and breakfast area. • No prior notice was given about the remodeling, and prices were not adjusted to reflect the limited and uncomfortable experience.

The rooms AC was not working. The breakfast was not worth eating and searved on paper plates. I didn't like paying $30 a night when I had no plans on using the ammenities.

Free breakfast but horrible If you are not there before 10 there is nothing left. The room where they served breakfast was small and inadequate since the hotel was being repair without previous notification Elevator often out of service

Easy access to beach , dining and shopping essentials.

First the staffing was great room was clean and inviting however coffee pot leaked and the coffee creamer was 2 weeks out of date not a big deal I just like cream iny coffee here is the down fall restaurant and bar are apparently under renovation we did not know this ahead of making our reservation. We had to go outside of hotel to get a decent meal and the breakfast scramble egg in the morning were cold however staff and Manager Phil were pleasant. Just so disappointed no restaurant and no open bar

Great stay for families and singles. Buffet breakfast, rooftop pool, and proximity to the beach are the perks. Would definitely recommend!

Unexpected additional charges 30$, called destianarion fee. Hotel pet friendly but pet fee is 150$.

Excellent amenities. Outstanding pool and poolside service. Front desk was top notch. All leading to an overall 5 star experience.

Although updated, there is mold in the showers, dust and dirt on air vents/ walls. Additionally the ac did not cool well during the day, it was hot as hell, but rough!

Hotel is clean, modern and tidy..BUT u need to pay for towels avg $30/day + u need to pay for umbrella on beach for not to get toasted $40/day...so u will end up paying $70/day plus your hotel reservation....Guests should not be paying for basic things, especially that Hotel is not direcly on beach and u had to wait for shuttle to take u to the beach, kindly dissapointed only from this lart

The room was spacious and tidy but the A/C wasn’t working properly the entire stay. They said they would have someone come up to fix it but no one arrived. Hotel was incredibly busy and overbooked. Lobby was dirty. The photos of the pool are deceiving because the sun doesn’t hit the pool at all. Very over priced. Paid this much to stay at the Grand in Bal Harbour and it was much nicer. Wouldn’t recommend staying here.

It is a nice place and the kids loved the pool.

Loved the location, the amenities and customer service. Did not however like the nickel and dime fees that werent disclosed prior. Parking is taxed and higher than listed price. There is a resort fee i was unaware of. My tv and landline phone stopped working last day. They sent someone up to reset a panel in our room and instructed us to wait 10mins, but it was a failed attempt and i was to tired to have him return to room. But still through all that i would stay again.

Always happy to be here. Very convenient and well-maintained facility. Breakfast is very good too. The ocean view rooms are the best. The 9th floor pool area is very relaxing. Staff is very professional. The destination/resort fee is worth it. You can all the things you needed to go explore the beach and the area.

I loved every night of my stay!

I really like the area and the beach. Hotel staff was really nice and helpful. Walls were pretty thin and my neighbors played loud music. Also, the sliding door for the bathroom didn’t close all the way.

Overall location and place is convenient. What I did not like - broken bathroom door (room 417) and not cleaned balcony floor area. Could have been managed better.

Bathroom doors are rolling style that don’t lock. Room ok for one person not that good for two and no good for kids.

Pleasant and helpful front desk staff, nice breakfast options for both kids and adults, proximity to restaurants and the beach. Bathroom needs updating, water was leaking through the door, had to use towels to keep the floor dry. Beds were great, so comfy. Nice pool with great views, didn’t get too busy… tried chicken wings off the pool menu, they were great

Great location - wonderful breakfast, great stay! The mandatory daily valet of $45 and $30 resort fee is quite high and there are no cheaper options for parking.

We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and Hela kindly let us have a late check out, as our flight was in the evening. Close to many restaurants, Publix and pharmacies, easy to walk to for whatever you may need.

We spent absolutely amazing time at this hotel. Nice ovean view. Very Clean hotel. The personell is very well trained and caring . The breakfast is amazing . Highly recommend this hotel.

The room had a nice view of the beach from accross the street. The size was very tight though, not much room to move around. The TV was attached to the side wall by the bed so we had to be careful not to hit our head with the TV. It was nice and convenient to have breakfast included every day.

Hvac was not working in my room. I called , spoke with the reception desk 3 times . They did not care to take care of it for the whole stay , did not offer me another room either . Did not careIt was too hot in the room and you could not ope the windows either. As I got in the elevator another guest told me that w They were in my room , ac did not work and they had to be moved to another room, So this was a problem they did not care to fix but gave the room to me. Very disappointing
