Reviews
The National Hotel receives mixed reviews, with guests praising its attentive staff, beautiful pool, and great location, but also expressing disappointment with small rooms, noisy construction, and unresponsive management. Some guests have issues with extra charges and poor service, while others enjoy their stay and plan to return.

Fantastic stay in Miami! The staff was amazing and made sure we had anything and everything we would need to make our stay an amazing one. We will definitely be back in the future!

Beautiful hotel nicely decorated. Staff lovely wud definitely come bk and highly recommend

Always an enjoyable visit.

I'd never stayed at an "adults only" hotel & really did find the swimming pools more enjoyable, much as it's so much fun to watch kids enjoying themselves.
- 5/5
Great location on the beach. Walking distance to Lincoln rd. And ocean drive and next to the bike and walking trail along the beach All areas of the hotel including our room in the Cabanas were exceptionally clean Pool side restaurant has amazing food Spanish restaurant in the lobby also serves great Spanish inspired dinners and provides indoor and outdoor seating My favorite spots are the two pools. One pool is an amazing 200 ft plus long and both are clean and well taken care of My five star rating also was influenced by the staff. They all especially the servers and bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly and professional I would highly recommend this hotel and as a matter of fact upon checking out we booked another stay 2 months from today

I had an excellent experience at the national in Miami Beach! The property was chosen because it’s adjacent to the beach and that convenience was a definite benefit. The hotel staff was first rate at attentive, certainly adding to the good experience that was had. The on-site restaurant is top-notch and is to be recommended for its selection of paella dishes. Proximity to the ocean Drive area also is a plus as it was easy to access some of the entertainment options located in that part of the city, yet gain the benefit of being not directly in the mix of larger crowds. The fact that the property is Adult Only was a definite plus!
- 5/5
Excellent location. Much to see on Collins Ave and only a few blocks from Ocean Drive. The pool is also amazing!! We also really liked the staff!! Everyone was so friendly!! Will stay here again when back in Miami!!
- 5/5
This hotel is beautiful and everyone on the staff from the valet to the front desk and managers was extremely kind and helpful. The pools are the perfect size and the pool side service is great. I love that you get a pool chair and towel &/or a beach chair and towel each day included with your stay. I wish they would also cover this for your final day - especially if you have a late flight out. Have already recommended this place to several people and I just got home. I will be returning.

It was a good experience
- 5/5
Love this place. Will always stay here if it’s available. Staff is very very good .
- 2/5
While making reservations we were not told that hotel had a night party scheduled for 500 people going on till 1:30am with music so loud we could not sleep, furthermore hotel upgraded us to a cabana suites which where $150 more per night total of $300 which were right next to the party instead of telling us to stay in the main building which wouldn’t be affected by the loud noise .
- 5/5
Stayed in a cabana room and loved it. People were friendly, food was good. An excellent place to stay.
- 1/5
From the beginning of our stay, we experienced issues with the room AC and shower water pressure, both of which were reported to the hotel. We were also disturbed multiple times despite displaying a Do Not Disturb sign. Additionally, certain anniversary accommodations that we had been told were being arranged never materialized. To the hotel’s credit, management did acknowledge some of these concerns and offered to waive 50% of the resort fees. But that would amount to perhaps $50 total for a stay that cost us over$1,500. When I respectfully asked whether the hotel would consider a more meaningful resolution given the circumstances, communication stopped entirely. Over the past several weeks I have sent multiple follow-up emails and have received no response. At this point, my disappointment is not only with the stay itself, but also with the lack of follow-through and customer service afterward. For a property at this price point and reputation, I expected both a better guest experience and better post-stay support. I would welcome the opportunity for management to finally respond.

The hotel and staff was one of the best hotels in south beach. Truly unified beautiful and fun

This is an exquisite property. The location and rooms were great. The beach club was a highlight of our trip. The staff, in particular Anaya and Salar, went above and beyond to make our stay phenomenal.

Clean hotel all around. Professional staff in the hotel and at the beach. Good location. Quiet due to adults only. Very annoyed with the amount of fees due upon checking in. Expedia didn’t inform of the “extras”. The Manager was extremely helpful. Breakfast was $30 and all I had was a pastry and coffee! Bar didn’t have the ingredients to make an apple martini, but the bartender was apologetic.

This was my second time coming here. Always a good time. I’m coming back.

Loved everything about the hotel, location, staff, amenities and overall vibe!! Fantastic place, we had a great time! Will come back for sure
- 4/5
We liked (not lived) this property. We were initially disappointed in getting assigned a room beside the elevator - and we had to pay $50 upgrade to get a room two doors down. In addition the exorbitant price when they add on the resort fee. Not sure the final price was worth it.
- 5/5
Overall we had a great stay. The property is lovely, and we were given a beach facing room which was a pleasant surprise. I think the two pool layout is cool, allowing for a more intimate and more open environments. The pool bar and easy access to the beach path were nice pluses. The location is perfect, close to Lincoln road and a reasonable walk to other parts of south beach.

Staff were amazing, pool and beach access was amazing. Great stay!

The staff were so incredibly nice, and the service was awesome! Place is great for solo traveling, too. Would highly recommend.
- 4/5
Love the adult only atmosphere. Fiendly, inviting staff. Wait staff at pool and beach are awesome. Location is excellent. The base of bathtub in RM 402 could use some recaulking. Refrigerator is barely cool and rocky, not stablized. No microwaves on the premises to reheat leftovers. Hate that pets and smoking allowed. Otherwise. good hotel.

We would go back, you can use that as how satisfied we were. Thanks to Robert at the front desk and Yoni and Jorge at the pool.

We stayed at the resort for five nights and the room was clean. We enjoyed the pool as well as access to the beach. The staff was very friendly and respectful. The only thing we were not happy about was the food. We ordered food a couple of times by the pool, and neither time weren't good. Aside from this, we enjoyed the hotel’s proximity to major attractions that Miami Beach offers.

The good: 1. The room a good size and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable allowing us one of the most restful resort stays, significantly better than others. 2. The shower included a separate shower wand, very appreciated and rare to find. 3 The pools and surrounding outdoor areas were clean and well equipped and and outdoor staff was attentive and pleasant. 4. The AC in the room worked great. 5. Great location very walkable to numerous restaurants, shops, beach, etc. 6. Very nostalgic decorating reminiscent of 50-60s Hollywood, unique. The not so good: 1. The heater in our room didn't work at all. One night came in and 65 degrees wanted it a little warmer, switched it to heat, but the vents continued to blow cold air. So had to turn off AC and extra blanket. 2 the bathroom a little cramped and worn. but expected for an older hotel. However, the lack of an exhaust fan unacceptable. 3. Water pressure was very poor especially when using that lovely shower wand. 4. Blow dryer stopped working the first day. Told the front desk late that morning around 11, along with a towel requests since no house keeping yet. Came back from pool later that day and still no blow dryer, towels or house keeping. Had to call again, and about an hour after that finally recieved both. Summary: would consider staying again, but at a better price point.

Our first time here and our stay was good. Valet parking only. Valet staff were okay. Arrival was great, departure not so much. Ordered the car from the text message, as requested, and it took forever for them to bring the car around. The front desk staff were fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating. Beach attendants were good. They setup the chairs and umbrellas for six of us, and checked on us throughout our time on the beach. The outside bar by the pool served great drinks and food. Service was a little slow, but they were busy. Elevators are very small. They could barely fit 4 people with luggage. Our room was very clean. A little small, but we had a great view of the pool and the beach. Bathroom was very small. We ate dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Food was delicious. Dinner was mostly Tapas…so good. Breakfast was good as well. Service was a little slow. If you are in a hurry keep that on mind. Bartender at the inside bar was just okay. Cocktail waitress was great. We stopped by before dinner, and then again for a nightcap, after strolling around and checking out other places along Collins Ave. Overall, we had a good experience, and would likely stay here again if we ever get to South Beach in the future.

Stayed in Penthouse. Elevator got stuck with us in it. Door would not open. Also every time the elevator moved or was used it would make a horribly loud sound and shake our entire penthouse. We had to buy a box floor fan to try and mask the extremely loud elevator sound. The elevator sound was so loud that we had to sleep on the couch downstairs in the penthouse. Will not stay again if not fixed. Also, the water pressure was very very low and made it hard to shower. Other than that the Hotel was perfect. If the elevator gets resolved we will gladly recommend and stay again.

The maintenance of the building is great. The food next to the pool very good! What I didn’t like was the constant noise of construction on both sides of the building, even on a Sunday.

Good location and easy access to beach. The pool area is great (when we were able to use it which was an issue due to it being booked for private events two days during our stay). The staff are excellent. This was our second year staying here. The pool area, specifically the square pool and bar in the rear of the property, was booked for private events and closed at 3pm on two days during our 4 night stay. Meaning guests of thr hotel could not use it. There was no prior notice of this at time of booking. I found out the pool area was going to be closed only because of a paper sign at the desk when I checked in. The sign said it was closed Monday. I thought to myself, okay I can deal with one day. Then on Wednesday we go back to try to use the pool area and are told we can't because of ANOTHER private event. This was a huge disappointment because the pool area is one of, if not The, biggest reason we chose this hotel. It is featured in all of their marketing images and they are aware this is one of their main draws. I can't even imagine if I was one of the guests sitting at the pool who was asked to get up and leave so the event could set up. We stayed here last year the same week in April and had no issues with access to the pool. We chose to return here based on our positive experience last year. But this time we paid the same price as last time (too much for this honestly) but we didn't have access to a major amenity and selling point. No prior notice at time of booking or anything. Aside from that, the construction at the neighboring property is still going on as it was a year ago. It is very loud and annoying. I don't expect this property can do anything about it but it goes towards the issue of whether this property is worth the price tag for the experience you get in return. It's unfortunate that the construction is happening and is outside their control but the reality is this isn't nearly as relaxing or enjoyable as it should be for the cost. One thing they can control is the price they charge and I don't think they are discounting their rate due to the noise. Last year we had a room on the far side as fare form the construction as possible for an ocean view room.

The National is such a cute hotel! I had an ocean suite and it was big, clean, great decor and view. The staff is wonderful and we had a blast at the pool cabana and beach. Will for sure stay here again!
- 4/5
2nd time we have visited The National. Even encouraged friends to come with us this time due to our previous experience. Hotel is nice, clean, up to date, and great access to the beach and usually a great outdoor bar and pool. However, what the hotel failed to mention was that (our favorite amenity) the outdoor bar and sitting area would be shut down both days at 3pm for a private party, and the indoor bar will not open until 5pm. Leaving many guests who expected to use the National facilities for the day to leave property to eat or drink. Which could be ok, but we were never notified of these items when making reservations, during email communication or leading up to our visit. Just the morning of, feel as though better communication should be expected as we could have then made an educated choice about where to stay. Morning of check out, hotel asked about our stay. I told them all was great, except disappointed with issues above. They provided small credit toward the resort fee. However, would have rather had proper communication prior to our stay so we would have known what we could expect, than a small credit at check out.

Paid extra for an “ocean view” room - well, you could technically see the ocean… but it was super far away and mostly blocked by another part of the hotel - total ripoff. Hotel is old and outdated, the room was tiny and not very clean. Asked valet to have the car ready at a specific time because we had dinner reservations. It wasn’t ready and we waited so long for the car that we almost missed our reservation at a fully booked restaurant. Called the front desk the night before to ask for a late checkout- as we had checked in super late and got back super late, and wanted to get a good nights rest without being rushed to leave in the morning. They said I’d have to call back at 8 am the next morning to ask for a late checkout…. What? On vacation and wanting to get plenty of sleep- but I’ll have to wake up early to request a late checkout?! What a joke. When I did wake up and called the front desk for a late checkout - they had no more available, so had to extremely rush to pack and get out. Would never stay here again. A massive waste of money. Extremely overpriced for the quality of amenities and service.

Charge as a 4-5 star hotel but deliver as a 3star hotel on some ”easy to fix” parameters. One size pillow only, to few towels to provide all guests around the pool and at beach, not enough sun beds and you will have to wait for a phonecall to fit in. Some staff also not very friendly..as positive very clean, nice long swimmingpool to swim in and great location close to ocean and lots of restaurants

Excellent dinner at the hotel restaurant. Nice hotel bar with fun bartenders. Beautiful deco hotel in great area convenient to Miami Beach and South Beach amenities. Double room had comfortable beds well maintained fixtures. Pool area is relaxing and offers many shaded spots when not sun bathing or in the pools. Pool bar is fun. Adults only policy was a real plus. We'd come again!
- 5/5
A magical place on everything
- 5/5
I was in Miami for music week and stayed at the National for four nights. This is a crazy time of year and staff can be understandably overwhelmed, but every single staff member at the National was so accommodating, from the housekeeping to the bartenders to the management. This isn’t the first time I’ve stayed at the National, but it just keeps getting better. I love it there and I can’t wait to go back. Extra special shout-out to Margherita (bartender), Alejandro (assistant) and Yaser, one of the most proper GM’s I’ve ever met. He definitely goes above and beyond. 10/10!!
- 5/5
Shame that the bar/Infinity pool area does get rented out privately, so we couldn't use it for an afternoon, although the beach is available, sometimes you just want to relax around the pool. The other pool was cold and seating in the shade, so made it chilly!
- 2/5
Was excited to use the pool but was required to pay an additional astronomical fee a day in order to access it. This should be standard. Was asked if they can reimburse the resort fee or at least do something, but was only responded with rude responses and dismisses attitude.
- 1/5
Super dissatisfied! We paid full price for hotel room and facilities that we couldnt use while the hotel hosted a massive music festival event. We were totally unaware of this and feel like we should have been advised upon booking. Management offered no apologies or compensation.
- 3/5
Never again,horrible
- 1/5
We informed before arrival of the pools would not be available due to the Miami music festival. The first issue is that the Miami music festival is a front for spring break. The music blasted for 12 hours a day starting just after 11am. In our room the noise was so loud you could not ever sleep in the music hours After the first night I went to reception to see could be done, basically they only could offer ear plugs, so management knew of the issue. We could not move any other hotels as all was full. They did try to charge a resort fee although the pool was unavailable and the only access to beach was out the front of the hotel then walk to the next corner down a construction zone and then back to the beach behind the hotel, totally unacceptable The hotel was full of drunken or drug affected patrons in foyer going to and from the pool party event On returning from dinner two nights had to get security to clear a way into the hotel. On Checkout I tried for the second time to discuss my issues with the General manger and after waiting 49 minutes the front office manager appeared to say all hotels have the same sound issues, really our bad luck. After 3 nights of little sleep and living with a continuous spring break party, I expect a 100% refund as this was a total disaster
- 2/5
After 3 days of super loud music and not able to access the pool we were refused a one hour later check out on the day of our departure!
- 3/5
We love the long pool at this hotel. But months after we made our reservation and shortly before our trip we got a message saying that they were using the pool for a music festival for two days of our stay and it would not be open to guests. And then they had the effrontery to charge us the resort fee for those days. Really disappointing treatment with no thought to accommodate the guests and I doubt we will stay there again.
- 5/5
The hotel was very nice but we slept on the top floor and we could heard the elevator engines all day and all night !
- 5/5
Was prime location
- 5/5
Clean room, great coffee in lobby, friendly staff, beautiful pool area
- 2/5
At this time of year it’s forgotten that it’s meant to be a hotel and has overwhelmingly prioritised being a bad night club. Dreadful pounding techno such that the windows in our room vibrated till 11pm. To add insult to injury we’d paid extra for an ocean view room. Staff were indifferent. No late check out as a blanket policy. I think we were an inconvenience
- 5/5
The main issue was the bathroom as the light and fan are on the same switch, and the fan is quite loud. Also, there’s very limited space and no storage. The walls in the room are very thin, and we could clearly hear normal conversations from neighboring rooms, so it’s something to keep in mind.
- 2/5
Room appeared clean. I had a cockroach in my bathroom. I tried to show the video to the front desk and they didn’t care. They said, “gross.”
- 4/5
I love this adults into hotel. No frills room but clean and accessible. Staff is lovely and beach and pool areas are wonderful. Bar has delicious food and I love staying here when visiting Miami

We had a wonderful laid back time at the National. All the staff was great. The food that we got there was very good. They also have bike rentals right there with the first two hour free. Just wish we had a little better weather!
- 3/5
The location is excellent, but the stay was a mixed bag. The pool was freezing and the cleanliness of the room definitely left something to be desired. On the bright side, they don't charge any fees for receiving and holding packages at the front desk, which was a huge plus The location is excellent, but the stay was a mixed bag. Great location, very low key. The only issue is they close the pool for music events without warning you before you book, so just make sure there is nothing scheduled.

Staff was extremely kind. Room service was great and very reasonably priced. Pool was amazing. Water bathroom did not get hot enough in our opinion and there was an issue with the water our first night and we had zero water for about an hour.

This is a pretty good hotel, great staff who always were willing to help.has a vrwat outdoor area with a bar and pool to chill at. The room we had did have a virew if the beach and sea which was nice. Yhe room was a little darknon lighting, but this is the norm for hotel stays. The only issue we had was the bathrooms could do with redresh. We will stay again on outr next visit to miami.

Room and bathroom are on the smaller side but updated with comfortable beds, small refrigerator and a walk in closet. Impeccably clean. Two shower heads (rain and flexible) were a nice touch. Service was friendly and attentive: from front desk to cleaning staff to pool and beach and restaurant service.

The positives. Good location and art deco character. The negatives, everything else. Twice having pool area closed mid afternoon for private functions and pounding music at night were the worst aspects, but equally the room cleaning was poor, the rooms were tired and the resort and valet fees excessive. Five star cost for there star hotel. Disappointed

I had made a reservation through expedia, our dog was rushed to the ER (I have receipts to prove it) and we spent the wholday there. I wasn't able to get to the hotel, when expedia called they said if I rebook right then, they would honor a credit. I have no idea when I will be back in Miami to book now, nor can I afford to lose over $800 for a situation I can't control.

Very clean room, all staff were extremely helpful, no trouble getting lounge chairs at pool, breakfast and lunch fare were delicious, complimentary prosecco one afternoon was a nice touch, the bathrooms adjoining the heated pool were very clean and convenient. Would stay here again.

The staff were great and the room was clean. The only problem was the a/c blew on our heads all night, so we turned it off and opened the windows. That was a really nice option

But very nice Staff was excellent But it was 40 degree in Miami the day we stay pre Cruise and didn’t use any of the amenities due to weather but still charge the 62 dollars resort fee? I would look else where next time But glad we try it !

Great amenities and clean hotel/room. We just stayed when a lot of construction was going on which they can’t control but one day at the pool they had workers on the stainless trailer and it Was super loud and should've Been arranged better with pool hours of guests trying to relax but overall a great location and resort !

The food was great
- 4.5/5
Friendliness of staff, in particular Annie and Max at breakfast, Rachael, Kefyrah, Nate and Nate at front desk. And most particularly, Paul the Bellhop. Was significant construction immediately adjacent.
- 5/5
excellent staff, early checkin, able to stay and use amenities all day of departure..
- 2/5
During the stay, city of Miami experienced record cold temperatures. While the hotel cannot control such occurrences, it could certainly benefit from having a functional HVAC system that provides heat to each room. For several days, the hotel room was truly uncomfortably cold. In light of the aforementioned, hotel management could have done more besides offering more blankets.
- 5/5
Great spot. Excellent service. Very well staffed. The pool and bar are very nice places to hang. Good location on the beach
- 5/5
Hotel is in a great location for dining, beach and running/walking path. The staff was wonderful - friendly, helpful with attention to every detail of our stay. The grounds are beautiful - the pool is something from a magazine cover. All the outdoor furniture was comfortable and plentiful in great condition. Rooms were very clean and well appointed with comfortable bedding, towels, etc. plenty of closet and drawer space to unpack. We stayed in the cabanas and the porch was lovely and spacious overlooking the pool. We did not dine at the restaurant but it looked delicious with plenty of patrons. Highly recommend this hotel as a unique getaway. Enjoy!

Classic hotel. Good value
- 4/5
Bed was extremely comfortable!! Beautiful hotel & pools.

We had to pay an extra $100 per night to move to a room that had heat. Thank God they had some.

Clean room and beach front property
- 4/5
Wonderful pool, patio, outdoor area. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
The hotel was great location with very close beach access and walkable to restaurants and stores. For the price, I would have expected the rooms to be slightly more updated but very cute and vintage rooms and hotel. We spent a lot of time at the pool, and the construction next door was quite distracting at times.

Great vibe, wonderful location on the beach
- 5/5
Even though the temperature in Miami was unexpectedly cold the staff and especially Alejandra, made our stay wonderful. Dinner at Mareva was delicious!
- 5/5
The staff is the best. Great location and beautiful grounds.
- 5/5
We had the most amazing stay at the national hotel in Miami. From first arriving in the Uber and being greated by the Bell staff and our luggage whisk away, check-in was a breeze, and the staff were very friendly. Our hotel room was perfect with a nice ocean view and very clean and well appointed. I would definitely stay here again! We also enjoyed a nice time out by the pool at the pool bar and the food, drinks and staff very good too.
- 3/5
Staff on the pool side was excellent Salah was very polite and helpful
- 5/5
The pool was really nice. The heated pool was an added bonus, especially since the weather wasn’t great when we were there. Joanna at the pool bar was lovely and cheery on the dreary day we were there. I would highly recommend this hotel. Felt very chic and high end but not stuffy.

- 3/5
The room was great! The reason we booked this hotel again as it was our favourite hotel that we stayed at post cruise before! We particularly enjoyed that they were able to get us a room early in the past, but they couldn’t do that for us this time! Also the pool closed at five and they kicked us out very abruptly as our entire party was sipping on a fresh drink when they aggressively kicked us out! When we asked for a later, check out, there was zero wiggle room, and that was a bit of a letdown as well.
- 5/5
Pool, restaurant, service and the room were all terrific.
- 5/5
Everything thing was perfect. The staff was very attentive. The pools were pretty. Appreciated the heated pool since miami was cooler than normal. Ate at the restaurant the food was very good. The national location was near reasturants, stores and trolley stop.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Clean room and hotel within walking distance to Lincoln shops, restaurants, and beach. Quiet room which is a plus to get sleep and they loved my dog! The staff are very courteous and valet too.
- 5/5
Love, love, love this hotel and the ammenities.
- 5/5
Very clean and fresh room. Nice junior suite. Excellent customer service. Not over crowded. Great pool area . Art deco feel with out the Loews convention crowd. Would suggest to anyone wanting upscale classic feel.
- 5/5
Staff was great along with location
- 5/5
The staff continually treated us with such top notch service and hospitality; The pool attendant Sallah was endlessly helpful and accommodating. We had a beautiful room and the housekeeping staff did a great job
- 5/5
Amazing atmosphere of art deco, spectacular pool area, decent room
- 5/5
Great staff. Close to Lincoln Rd for shopping, walking distance to Ocean Dr, great beach and pools.
- 5/5
Great place Great service. Bartenders fantastic !!!
- 3/5
The constructions at the Delano hotel next door are extremely noisy its impossible to relaxe at the pool
- 4.5/5
Don’t crank late night music in the morning. Song selection. You don’t feel like a rave at 9:00 am
- 5/5
Clean, great staff, pool area were all great. Restaurant could use a reboot. Stayed three times and will be back
- 5/5
great hotel perfect location
- 5/5
Accommodations , staff , food exceptional
- 5/5
Great hotel. Good things: helpful staff, clean, close by all of what’s happening but not loud. Their pool area is awesome and comfortable. The not so great: expensive drinks, two of the four pillows had some sort of stain, be ready with cash to tip the helpful staff. Overall highly recommended and would stay again and I consider myself very picky.
- 4/5
Friendly staff and great food
- 5/5
Excellent in all aspects. , 5 Stars
- 4/5
Currently next door is a construction site so that was unpleasant. The seaside roof mural should either be removed or repaired.
- 5/5
Un bel établissement et très bien situé. Le personnel est très courtois et toujours prêt à vous aider
- 3/5
The hotel is nice and the staff is friendly and very welcoming. The only thing is that the valet parking is pretty pricey and the resort fee per day. Overall ok.
- 5/5
Location, the pool, the beach The platform bed (we stubbed our toes!☺️) The lamps in the room☺️
- 5/5
Great hotel- location and service! Was able to purchase a day pass for our friends to use the pool which was so nice! Pool attendants were amazing! Went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable! Great location for must dos in South Beach!
- 2/5
The double room next to the elevators was really loud at night. We could hear every movement of the elevators and barely slept. The hotel and the adjacent area are otherwise generally fine though slightly dated. We loved the pool area.
- 3/5
Room was in good condition and staff was good. It's the room choice they gave us next to the elevator that makes a tremendously loud and annoying sounds. it was a little bit of a struggle to sleep. Room/Bathroom was out of some hygienic cleaners.
- 2/5
No swimmable pool
- 5/5
This was a very nice hotel with a clean room and friendly staff. The timely daily made service was an added benefit. The location on Miami Beach is superior. Our only complaint is that we had previously requested a room on a lower level and they put us on the top floor.
- 5/5
Clean, always attentive service, and comfortable
- 5/5
The National was a lovely place to stay. The front desk clerk was very welcoming on arrival, the pool was amazing, access to the beach was awesome, and the food was delicious. The rooms were clean and decorated nicely. While the price was high, it was aligned with the area.
- 5/5
Small rooms and the art deco theme is a bit dated but it’s got personality, service is great, pools are great (one is warm) and no kids!
- 4/5
Pool service is good breakfast is good as well
- 5/5
Almost all qas perfect, just wifi could be improved it was cutting often. I would come back again here anytime was great vacation, next to the beach, ocean drive to walk/run
- 4/5
Poolside seating - chaises with umbrellas, and cabanas were very nice. Staff attendants at the pool, specifically Salah provided excellent service
- 5/5
Excellent hotel, would definitely stay here again. Location was excellent and pool and beach access are great!
- 5/5
Nice location. Staff was really professional, friendly and helpful. We will return should the opportunity arise.
- 3/5
Hotel was nice but not to many people they would not let me check out until 1pm and the penthouse bedroom was subpar due to noise. Honestly I would not stay here again
- 5/5
It’s the best hotel in South Beach.
- 4/5
Great hotel, comfortable room, loved the pool and the overall vibe. I would say the drinks were very expensive as was the restaurant and pool snacks, the quality was fine but you should be aware of the exorbitant prices. We paid more for the food and drinks than we did for the hotel room for one night.
- 4/5
Everything was perfect.
- 5/5
Staff - everyone friendly and attentive. We didn’t go without at any time. Food and Drinks - we dined at beach, pool, bar, and restaurant. All outstanding. Drinks on point. Location - perfectly situated on the beach. A short walk to Lincoln Rd and Ocean Drive. Lots of places within walking distance to enjoy coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- 4/5
What I loved: pool area outside, beach chairs/umbrellas, great decor, comfortable beds, hot shower water that didn’t run out, laminate floors in hotel rooms, great massage/facial time offering and the location is just perfect. What it lacked: bring your earplugs because the walls are thin, gym is quite small. Overall I think this hotel is well priced and feels boutique-y and cozy but offers a lot!
- 2/5
The hotel nickel and dime everything, haven’t had this experience with another resort before. A club soda is $4.00, Dinner for 4 was $400 with mediocre food. Front desk was not polite, only thing that really saved the experience for me was the assistant manager who wasexceptional
- 5/5
Love the ambience of this hotel; very old Miami glamour, great friendly staff, both at the front desk and the restaurant / pool.
- 1/5
I have stayed here many times through the years. It’s been about 5 years and things have really gone down hill. Food is terrible, rooms were ok but last day the fire alarm went off for a “test” for over an hour after going off night before. I know these things happen but there no information and the staff could not have been more dismissive about the situation. Plenty of other options in Miami!
- 4/5
staff was very nice. cabana room was clean and nice balcony overlooking the pool. only issue was the music next door was very loud and all day during Art Basel week. it was difficult to relax at the pool and get to bed at a reasonable hour
- 5/5
I got two rooms and both were spotless. The staff was soo nice everyone we came across wanted to know how was are stay and how they could help us. The pool and beach area was fantastic and so was the staff!!
- 1/5
Room def not sound proof or even close Unfortunately I won’t go back
- 4/5
This is a comfortable old world hotel with a boutique vibe. The front desk staff are helpful and attentive. A small restaurant has a good menu with hit or miss wait staff. The rooms and bathrooms are smaller but decorated nicely. The main pool is luxurious with a second pool and beach cabana with access to the beach. The only negative is that it is next door to the Sagamore Hotel. It is a loud party hotel that blasts house music so loudly that it is uncomfortable to dine or lounge outside after 8:00. The “music” stops around midnight.
- 5/5
No complaints. Comfortable place to stay
- 5/5
The room was spotless and the staff was excellent and beyond! Very professional.
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 5/5
One of the coolest hotels I have ever stayed at. The history and charm of this hotel is unmatched. Excellent service all-around, too, especially in the pool & bar area. And the rooms had so much art/character in them. Would definitely recommend.
- 3/5
The property and staff are great. The front desk did however give a key to the wrong person which led to someone else trying to come into our room at midnight. After this security then came up later and asked us to give our names etc. the room we were in made a noise every time someone used the elevator.
- 5/5
The National Hotel is our Happy Place! The staff is friendly & accommodating! The grounds are very relaxing & serene.
- 5/5
Clean room, beautiful hotel well kept. Pleasant atmosphere. Joanna, katie and Kiki thanks so much for making my stay wonderful!!
- 5/5
Pool side seating & direct access to beach super convenient! Hotel staff was amazing & pool side food was very good. Definitely recommend. There is some construction going on next door which at times got a bit loud by the pool.
- 2/5
Pool area okay, but not relaxing due to beeping, digging. Main pool is in shade and smaller pool in part sun which we did not use. Beach is beautiful, and a quick hop over the beach walkway. Check out day; must pay for hotel beach chairs/umbrella. Staff are very friendly and try to help - but the hotel needs some upgrades and better overall management.
- 5/5
Amazing staff !!! Very clean hotel
- 4/5
Staff were very friendly and accommodating 😊
- 5/5
Very nice property. Beautiful grounds and pool. Beach access is only steps away with beach chairs and umbrellas, as well as food and drink service available on the beach. There is no onsite parking, you either have to find parking or pay for valet which is $50 a a day, but the valet service is great. Very friendly and efficient. We only ate one time at the on site restaurant but the food was good. It is right on Collins with many shops and restaurants in walking distance. We rented a car because we were going to a football game at Hard Rock stadium, but if I were to go back I would not rent a car. Overall great hotel and great location.
- 5/5
This is our 3rd stay at the National and we were very happy with really everything. The location is perfect, the staff is really nice from the front desk to restaurant to people working on the beach all are very nice and try to make you stay memorable. Will definitely come back again
- 5/5
Clean rooms and facilities. Pools are beautiful and there are plenty of options at the poolside bar. Beach and poolside staff very diligent and polite. Kudos to Rachel at the front desk and Flavio and Lisandro at Mareva. They made this experience unforgettable for us, specially Flavio and Lisandro who made my wife's birthday at the restaurant a blast
- 5/5
Love this hotel!!! The decore the location and the staff are all amazing!
- 5/5
Nice vintage room, and excellent services

Wonderful room, and property decor, friendly staff, terrific beach and poolside amenities. Location at the beginning of the art deco area was nice. Construction noise from the hotel nextdoor was a bit irksome but music poolside helped. Overall a wonderful find and stay. Thank you!
- 5/5
It was the best birthday ever!
- 5/5
The hotel was wonderful. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful. Restaurant was great. Pool and beach clean and attendants helpful too. I will definitely return!
- 4/5
Stayed in the cabana building and the view was great .
- 2/5
Very old bad customer service first time last time
- 5/5
Staff was excellent during my stay and accommodating.
- 4/5
pool food options at the pool
- 5/5
Outstanding place for quiet and chic
- 5/5
We always love seeing the same friendly staff whenever we return. We also appreciate the yoga class offering and attentive service.
- 5/5
Fabulous location right on the beach. Stunning design and architecture. I loved the terrace for breakfast and the amazing pools
- 4/5
The Expedia rooms are good but not great. We've booked a similar room each visit and it tends to be in the same location on different floors, near to a storage room that gets a lot of use in the mornings. The toilet seat on our room was loose and the handheld shower nozzle did not work. These however were minor annoyances and did not effect or stay or enjoyment. The food and drinks at the hotel are excellent and, again, staff is great! Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby! All in all, another great stay

Had a wonderful stay at The National. Staff is very friendly & accommodating. The room was very nicely appointed. The pool area is beautiful!
- 5/5
- 5/5
Welcoming, professional and attentive staff. You are treated as a valued guest from the minute you make your reservation at the NH which is architecturally art. Room was clean and comfortable with a walk in closet and beautiful view of the pool and the ocean. Of course the pool is legend in Miami and the staff pampers you. Creative cocktails and delicious food in the company of guests from all over the world. A long weekend to remember and to repeat again soon!
- 3/5
Nice amenities, staff not very friendly, specially the restaurant staff, did not like the automatic gratuity charge.
- 5/5
The hotel and room are always clean! The staff is awesome. Kiki and Natalya are great and very helpful!
- 5/5
The hotel was amazing and so were the staff. We loved our stay and cannot wait to come back!
- 5/5
Everything was great outside of renovations.
- 5/5
Great time!
- 5/5
Everything was amazing. Our couples massage was spectacular!!!!!
- 4/5
Staff was great. Pool was amazing. Room was larger but was slightly dated
- 5/5
The staff could not have been more warm and welcoming.
- 5/5
Special event , closed bar and pool at 4.
- 5/5
Everything. I didn’t know why I booked until I walked in. This place is amazing. Great staff and location. Nothing I didn’t like.
- 5/5
Nice hotel in a great location. I loved the pool and beach area. The pool area was under construction but they did a good job not making you feel like it was in it. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay again!
- 5/5
Everything from checking in, to getting out room cleaned, Martini/piano bar, beach and pool was great. The staff were so attentive! I can’t recall the name of the bartender who took care of us at the martini bar, she is Ukrainian I believe, she is wonderful! And makes delicious drinks! Would def come back
- 5/5
The beach access was very nice, Carolina was on the spot with food and drinks all day!
- 5/5
Secluded, no kids and sexy adult vibes. KeKe at the front desk was extremely helpful and amazing. She walked me through everything. I didn’t have any dislikes about the property. Everyone from the front desk, to maintenance, to bring ice. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Beach was beautiful.
- 5/5
Location and pool amazing I wish there was better and bit louder music at the pool
- 5/5
Nice hotel central location
- 5/5
But what really made the trip was the people. Katie, the manager, went above and beyond from the moment we checked in — warm, welcoming, and just genuinely kind. By the pool, Pablo took such great care of us every single day, somehow remembering our orders before we even had to ask. And Miadora, our pool attendant, was amazing — so friendly, so on top of everything, and made the whole experience feel personal and easy. It’s rare to find a place where the service feels this genuine. We’ll definitely be back — the National has officially become our Miami spot.
- 5/5
The staff was the best part of this trip. Specifically Kefayrah at the front desk, Darwin at the bar and one security guard stand out. They upgraded our room and always said hello. We appreciate their constant attention to any needs.
- 5/5
Beach was ok
- 4/5
The property was beautiful and the staff were terrific. The only complaints I have are that we paid $ 50 USD a day in resort fees and $ 100 USD a day for incidentals. The property had the loudest construction going on around the pool, every single day for eight straight days, we couldn't even lie around the pool at all!! I think these fees should have been waived due to the excessive noise we had to endure for a week. No one wants to pay that amount of money to listen to drilling nonstop for 8 days.
- 5/5
Beautiful resort! The staff was so accommodating and we can’t wait to come back! Great location. We didn’t even need to leave!
- 5/5
Very nice hotel and very nice and welcoming staff.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and accommodating. The lobby and pool are beautiful. Great location. The staff at the beach are top notch
- 5/5
Greatest shopping and dining experiences. Walking distance from the beach, restaurants and cafes.👍
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, grounds and pool. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The beach was very clean and the beach staff couldn't have been nicer or more polite. We are looking forward to returning.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff. Great location. Magnificent pool.
- 5/5
This Hotel was absolutely amazing! We had a beach wedding and all our guests also stayed here. The cabana guys helped so much and all the staff were so friendly! The pool area is stunning. And the food we ordered while relaxing on the beach was so delicious. I would highly recommend!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Love this hotel. It's my 5th time and will always stay there when in Miami. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great location and the pool cabana room was really nice. Nice happy hour in lobby.
- 4/5
We had a Sea View room, we could see the sea but inky over what was effectively a building site complete with Digging Equipment, rubble and workmen in full flow. We understand that construction happens but they really should have pre-warned us as a matter of courtesy. Apart from that the only other problem was a lack of sunbed availability around the swimming pool.
- 2/5
Everything in the area is under construction and multiple days we were woken up by outside construction noise. The bathroom smelled like sewage whenever the sink or shower were run. Honestly pretty gross overall, but the area is nice and the pools etc are cool just not worth the money at all
- 5/5
10/10 Our stay was great! The hotel was super nice, and the staff were so kind. We would definitely recommend and stay again anytime we’re in the area. If you’re looking for a resort, look no further!
- 5/5
Nice set-up! Work out facility, Excellent pool systems, seating, pool bar, staff & excellent access to the beach.
- 5/5
Close to restaurants. Service 100 per cent ! Room very clean with perks. Beach umbrella included with resort fee some not included amazing pool
- 5/5
Great nostalgic mid-century art deco hotel. The facility is well maintained the staff are excellent and the iconic pool alone is worth the trip. The poolside attendants are attentive and the food is healthy and tasty. The drinks could be stronger but overall the hotel gets 5 stars out of 5… the no-children Adults Only concept I s great and it is more intimate than Eden Roc or the other gigantic hotel further up the beach…enjoy!
- 4/5
Pool is amazing. Decor is great. Rooms and bedding were clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Leelee was so pleasant to work with I would definitely come back to stay in Miami

Awesome pools and beach access. EVERYONE at the Hotel went above and beyond. Very friendly. Small enough to get around and not have to go miles to get anywhere. Facilities were well kept and all service was great!

Would prefer if hotel had designated smoking area-a lot of smoking from patrons at pool.
- 5/5
Staff is outstanding and hotel is wonderful
- 5/5
Good value for the money. Clean, friendly staff, reasonable food choices, easy beach access
- 5/5
The best adult only Hotel in South Beach hands down. The food at the hotel restaurant is 10/10. So is the staff and amenities. I have been staying here since 2016 and will never stay elsewhere. EVERYONE is so accommodating it feels like home.
- 1/5
Will not return
- 3/5
“Spa” never responded to numerous texts about scheduling a massage
- 5/5
The staff went above and beyond — always friendly, helpful, and professional, which made the whole experience even better. The location is perfect, right on Collins Avenue, close to all the best restaurants, shops, and nightlife. I truly enjoyed every moment and will definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxury Miami Beach experience!
- 5/5
I don't think i had vip service.

We had an amazing 5 days spent at The National Hotel. Facilities were excellent. All the staff were so helpful. Exceptional were the bar staff who were so friendly. I would recommend anyone to stay. Only issue was there was renovation work being carried at the back of the hotel. The hotel should have advised us of this work before hand. However, only affected one day by the pool. Otherwise a great stay from a resident from the UK.

Great hotel for a relaxing getaway. Management and staff always available for your needs. Room was clean and comfortable. Always check for additional fees during your stay. But overall great place.

Completely enjoyed our stay here. If you’re looking for a perfect, child free, adult only stay with incredible staff and a very aesthetically pleasing environment, choose The National.

The staff was very friendly and efficient, including beach space. Fantastic access to the beach. And the pool was nice as well. I would stay again and recommend it.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful everyone was great. I will recommend anyone to stay at this property.

Beautiful hotel and great staff. We enjoyed our stay!

Wish it had a breakfast buffet that was included with the hotel stay but it doesn’t have that option.
- 3/5
The food service staff by the pool and beach were very inattentive, had to ask multiple times for food, the hotel will message you and almost advertise a early check in but never happened, also was charged twice for the same meal, an currently disputing with cc company. Once on my card and again via the hotel. I brought it to thier attn and was just told I wasnt even tho it was clearly on my cc bill and the room charges.

Great location and amenities..
- 4/5
Rust, uneven walls, warn carpeting adds to charm, giving off an old New Orleans meets art deco vibe. Loud electric trance music is played in all public areas from 8am to 11pm so sleeping in, mid day nap or going to bed early is unpleasant in the poolside suites. Also the pool areas are not relaxing due to this. Beach chairs and cabanas are rentable by anyone outside hotel so kids and loud hip-hop can disturb your attempt to get away from loud thumping pool area. Staff is excellent, attentive and engaging/fun. Food at pool bar and restaurant is excellent and bar is very good. We never felt unsafe walking around South Beach but very good security at hotel. Location is close enough to walk to restaurants, shopping and bars. Across the street are many Italian bakeries with sidewalk seating full of young adults speaking Italian and other languages. We would definitely stay here again but would not stay in their beautiful poolside suites.

A lovely adult only hotel in a great location

The food options could have been better at the restaurant. Not a good menus in my opinion.
- 4/5
Pool was warm, would like it more refreshing. Also, this is the second time we have stayed at the hotel with contractors and construction at the resort. Frustrating to pay the rates with construction all over the property
- 5/5
I loved that the property was conveniently located downtown and close to different restaurants. Pablo was amazing! Great customer service very attentive to guest! Clean property!

Fantastic stay and incredible staff

I know it's listed as "Adults Only" but I saw four topless women and a dude that might as well of been naked. By the way, people that shouldn't be naked. If that's your thing this is the place for you!
- 5/5
Great hotel & staff.
- 4/5
The service was amazing. Our issue was with the constant construction going on and the fact we paid extra for oceanview and it was deceptive. Absolutely wasnt oceanview.
- 5/5
Must check out spanks way for your restaurants Awesome
- 5/5
My stay was great. It wasn’t too crowded, the pool was clean, and the beach is walking distance.
- 4/5
Hotel is nice, clean and comfortable. Location is great if you’re planning to walk around with multiple dining options. The bedroom was not the best since there was no view at all and it was a construction site next to it. Room upgrade was supposed to be a benefit through Expedia but it was never offered.
- 5/5
The pool side suites are a must! The normal rooms in the main building are a little tight.
- 5/5
Best hotel in South Beach ever!!
- 5/5
It was a nice stay I enjoyed the bar and pool areas the restaurant has really good food. When you get to the beach there are kids there but not in the actual resort area.

The hotel was very nice and it was beach accessible in waking distance about 150 feet from the hotel. You could jet ski, swim, parasailing. The only thing I did not like is that the seaweed was coming to the beach and it was in the water this is seasonal other than it was excellent. The hotel we stayed at was an adult hotel and it was very beautiful .

If you’re looking for a low price and a convenient location to the strip, this is your place. That said, the property would benefit from adding some basic amenities. For example, an ice maker on the property, an easy process for getting additional towels for the pool, and a consistent schedule for room upkeep. Overall though, if you’re looking for a no hassle place to stay and don’t mind a DIY approach to service, I’d recommend!

Amazing stay! 100 coming back!

Great spot our third stay there would recommend.

This is my second stay … there is a new happy hour !! 3 course pre fix meal add on for the summer - exceptional . I received a complimentary gift for my birthday thanks to kefyrah ! She’s the sweetest both times . Also Connor, Shawn (pool) and Elijah at the beach are friendly and make sure you are ok even if it’s not included in their job ! Hotel is having renovations but enjoying the perks !! I’ll see you guys in October , this is my new home away from home .

Everyone was very friendly and the service was top-notch.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of the art deco district with super friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
This property was absolutely perfect for my adult daughter and I. The staff was amazing and the beach was gorgeous. We only sat at the pool one day but it was beautiful too. Anything we needed they would take care of immediately,
- 4/5
Very good hotel, however there are major renovations going on very close to the main pool.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and went out of their way to make the trip special!
- 5/5
I would def recommend this hotel, service & staff were top notch and location is perfect to the best dining. Rooms were clean and we had plenty of room as well as closet space , room service was daily and we called for ice and it was delivered immediately, pool was lovely X 2 and not a long walk to the beach. Chair & umbrella service was complimentary & so appreciated.
- 5/5
Stayed here for my solo trip. And everyone was nice and very polite

Worst place I have been to
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic. The only thing I could say is that the pool water got quite warm in the sun so it would've been nice if it was cooled. But overall a wonderful stay and the staff was extremely friendly. Plus their Saturday night pianist was excellent!
- 5/5
Great experience! Greet people and love the adult only aspect! Keep it that way!
- 5/5
Great Hospitality as soon as you drive up. We came here for our honeymoon so we loved the privacy and the quiet relaxing environment. All the amenities like having the poolside bar, private beach with services onsite and restaurant were all top notch, professional and clean. We thought it was all perfect. We also liked the location as we walked around town, so we liked the convenience. We can’t wait to go back.
- 5/5
It was great! Staff was great! I would definitely stay here again!

This a nice place to stay if you are celebrating a special occasion.
- 5/5
Excellent but the beds need some improvement.
- 4/5
Overall, it was a decent stay, but with a few glitches and disappointments. On day two of my stay, a strange noise started emanating from the neighboring room. It was incessant and intolerable. Maintenance couldn’t seem to figure it out. Nevertheless, the desk clerk offered to give me another room, however, with an up charge. Completely appalling and unacceptable! Also, there were only two elevators, and one was out of service for a day and a half. This was my third day at the national, but I’m not sure I would return.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. Staff members Alex and Kefyrah were will to assist in ant way possible with our need. Very adult only hotel. We loved it.

A gem of a Hotel
- 4/5
I booked this hotel for myself, my husband and two other couples. I was pleased with our city view king suites size and cleanliness. We were supposed to get room service daily, but they missed 2 days during our stay for one of our rooms. I was disappointed at the lack of entertainment at the hotel, but local bars and restaurants do have fun things going on. I thought there would be someone playing the piano in the hotel bar and also I thought they would have something celebrating July 4th Holliday. Breakfast at hotel was good. Drinks at the bar very expensive. All servers and Beach attendants were very nice. There was a lot of seaweed at their beach the last few days of our stay and I was surprised they don’t clean it off daily, as I have seen other hotels do where I have vacationed. Overall it’s a nice, laid back hotel.
