Perfect location close to everything

The hotel was conveniently located and right across the street from the beach and had plenty of places to eat within a 2 minute walk. The roof top pool has an amazing view of the beach as well. The staff was also very kind and accommodating. I will return very soon

If you’re staying in Miami Beach, skip the overrated mega hotels and book The Fritz instead. The location is absolutely unbeatable — right in the heart of everything and steps from the beach. The suites with balconies are perfect, and my suite was enormous. The cleanliness was top-tier, the aesthetic was beautiful, and the entire property felt comfortable, elevated, and genuinely well-maintained. Manuel also delivered exceptional service and made the experience even better. Honestly one of the best boutique hotel experiences I’ve had in Miami. I would stay here again without hesitation. Huge thank you to Manuel again. :) The only thing I didn’t like was that I eventually had to check out. I even stayed an extra day.

Stayed at this property for one night. The low price that I got the one night for was the greatest perk. Will go back if I can get it at a reasonable price.

I stayed there for 3 days. On the positive side, the day staff was really nice. Pool upstairs is small but nice and clean enough with just minor dead bugs in the corner. With some lounge chairs and the view of the beach was great. AC was working well and room was big and spacious. But the shower water pressure was TERRIBLE. It was just trickles of water if you got a lot of hair it will take some time to wash the hair products off. So make sure you check that shower. And a couple of small minor things that need to be updated on the sink as well. There was a night staff who we complained about the rooms TV not working and the noise(Our room was on the ground floor, next to a lively restaurant. So if you are a light sleeper, make sure to not book the ground floor facing that restaurant). The night staff seemed uninterested and all he said was he will let technician know tomorrow but there was no follow up the next day. Overall, its a pretty decent hotel. I suggest just inspect your room first before you let your hair down and if theres something wrong. Have them try to fix it right away or change rooms. One of the girls that stayed there. Told me the water pressure in her room was good. So just double check.

Great location. You're in the thick of Miami Beach chaos so expect lots of noise. The rooms are clean but need basic repairs. Handles are falling off, trim is broken, patio door was stuck. Our shower knob was stuck but they fixed it right away. Hotel has no parking so valet is the best option at $0-$40 a day with a 20 minute wait.

I have pictures of black hair in the drawer and footprints on the wall little tiny spots on my pillowcase the man at the front desk, lost my birthday gift, and I found it in my refrigerator and had no clue what I was talking about nor all the people that were locked out in the hallway, making noise on top of him, telling my room number to some stalker who followed me in that I couldn’t believe they would do that would be so unprofessional without giving my number out on top of now trying to charge my credit card another $80 when I paid it in cash …..

Room could have been cleaner. Was very spacious and comfortable. Tv in main area didn't work but was ok for me since I mainly watched the tv in bedroom. I am sure if I had asked for assistance could have solved any issues but wasn't anything that particular bothered me other than cleanliness of room( hair in bathroom, somewhat dusty). Was mostly outside. pool was fine, pool area(broken lounge chairs, trash left) not 100%. Beautiful view from rooftop. Was able to watch sunrise. For the location, amenities (fridge and microwave, rooftop pool, use of towels for Beach) and price The Fritz was well worth it. I would stay again!!

The best part of this hotel is the location. It is walking distance to the beach and close to plenty of restaurants, bars, and convenience stores on Ocean Drive. Our suite was also spacious and included a full-size fridge, large microwave, separate living room, walk-in closet, and a small balcony that was nice for people watching. The rooftop pool was also a nice touch. The hotel felt very dated and poorly maintained. The safe in the closet was held together with duct tape, the remote cover was broken, and the living room TV took extra effort to get working. The biggest issue was cleanliness. The bathroom floors, walls, and shower walls looked dirty, and some areas appeared possibly moldy. WiFi was spotty during the entire 4-night stay and was not working properly in the room the last night. The hotel is also next to a loud restaurant/bar/hookah lounge and on a busy street, so noise from cars and motorcycles was constant. Even the elevator was frustrating since it would not come to the rooftop level when called.

This is a sad motel. Avoid it. Not worth the price. Ocean view is an exaggeration - slight angle around multiple buildings - you can't see the beach. The room was not serviced until day 3 of our 4 day stay despite our repeated requests for fresh towels. The front desk staff just shrugged and said no. Lightbulbs not working in 2 fixtures in the room. Kitchen of our suite had no dish soap or dishwasher soap, dented and bent pots and pans, and bent utensils. Built-in ice maker in freezer section of the refrigerator did not work. Rips in the curtains. Sagging bed. Skimpy amount of bathroom toiletries. Very few, thin towels that were not replaced frequently enough. Broken chaise lounges on pool deck that could not be used. Leaves and debris all around the pool area. This place needs a renovation desperately

Plenty of space and a nice view but, unlike the reviews said, the property was in need of refurbishment. It was quite tatty (including a trip hazard at the entrance that the receptionist wasn’t at all interested in) and tired. It didn’t stop me having a great time and the area was safe and well positioned. Quite noisy at night AND first thing in the morning

The room was adequate size for the 5 of us. We had the 2 bedroom/2 bath with balcony. The kitchen was nice to have with a refrigerator/ ice maker built in. The property could use a good cleaning in the common areas and the pool. The beds were comfortable and the night attendant was very welcoming for our late check-in.

The hotel sits in a genuinely fantastic spot, and you can tell it was something special once. Here’s hoping someone rescues it. In the meantime, here’s what to expect. Check-in set the tone nicely. The lobby’s waiting chairs were occupied — not by guests, but by a towering collection of mop heads, push brooms, Monster energy boxes, and miscellaneous mystery clutter. We chose to see this optimistically: at least they’re stocking up on cleaning supplies. The check-in process itself required some paperwork acrobatics. The first form had someone else’s booking; the second was mine but quoted the full hotel rate I’d already paid on Expedia. After a spirited conversation with the manager, we sorted it out and I just paid the resort fee and a $100 refundable deposit. Minor adventure. The room was on the first floor, with the only entrance facing the main ocean patio — meaning anyone strolling by could peer directly through the windows. Inside, a few highlights: ∙ The shower had standing water, broken tiles, and a door that preferred to stay open ∙ The faucet offered two speeds: off and full fire hose ∙ The shelf above the sink was loosely attached to the wall (gravity was winning) ∙ The ceiling had clearly seen some water damage, with patchwork started but not quite finished ∙ The bed had hair in the pillowcase and shoe prints on the comforter ∙ Holes in the walls, damaged lamp, heavily beat-up d

My room overlooked Ocean Ave. and the park. Very noisy at night. Only valet parking and that could use some improvement. Room was OK.If you want to be a part of the buzz on South Beach, this is the place to be.

Very unique location. Close to everything you could want (food, beach, hotel pool). Older place and not “perfect”, but clean and staff was helpful. Cost for food, drink, valet, etc. were high. Although I would expect it for the location.

The room was dated and in the kitchen area, the cupboard door lamination was peeling off, the coffee machine was dirty, the bed sloped to the middle, the bathroom had a mismatch of tiles that looked odd, the ice machine in the fridge had overflowed into the freezer compartment. It felt unclean and neglected. The staff were nice. There was an elevator but it was slow at closing. The a/c was good. The shower was powerful. The water must have been turned off at one point because we couldn’t flush the toilet and then it just fixed itself. The swimming pool area on the roof felt neglected. I wouldn’t feel safe swimming in it. Didn’t look clean and the area around it was dirty. The view was good from the roof. There is no food at the hotel but there was plenty around

YOU CANT BEAT THE VIEW ! THE ROOM WAS SPACIOUS , THE LOCATION WAS AMAZING . I would stay here again if visiting miami- i will note this is not a super fancy hotel its a little dated and the elevator was questionable we opted for the stairs but all in all it fit our needs !

Fresh bed, clean bathroom. Friendly staff. Parking is funny- always pay for parking. Towing is a norm. Read sign closely as not every spot requires 24h paid parking.

Everything was wonderful. The atmosphere is amazing. The staff is so very kind and courteous. My room was fabulous with a beautiful view. I highly recommend the Fritz for your stay.

Manager Manny is friendly and very helpful. The location is excellent for spending time at the beach. The rooftop bar overlooks the ocean and is great for people watching. We would stay at the fritz again. Shower water pressure was a little low but adequate.

Paint missing from part of the wall, horrible patch jobs, missing handle on cabinet, top thirds of the mirrors apparently not cleaned in quite a long time, sheets seemed very wore out, there is no light in the living room area, shower never really drained right, elevator takes between 40 seconds and eternity for the doors to close, front desk is chaos with so many more people storing luggage in the already small lobby than there we're checking in or out. That all being said, location is incredible! Staff is very nice helpful and smiling despite being under less than great management, and the rooms are very spacious. Didn't try the rooftop pool.

Location is great. They weee also able to get me into an ocean view upon request. Really appreciated that! Small repairs needed to wall and furnishings to get rid of blemishes. Not too big a deal but can make things feel “worn”. It wouldn’t take much to shine the place up.

Great location, pool area clean. Good size. Seemed pretty clean. Suite size was good. Elevator issue (doors don’t close for about 45 seconds), cleaning not like a regular hotel - only available every 48 hours but must let them know 24 hours in advance so meh. Must let them know you need extra sheets towels even though we booked for x amount of people - why not have the appropriate amount in the room since you collect this data? No security - people coming in off the street can go directly into the (unlocked, no key tap needed) elevator or even the stairs without being seen by front desk. Also, only mirror in the suite was in the bathroom so forget trying to say, put on make-up or see your outfit while someone’s in the bathroom. Why not get a cheap back of door mirror for each room, couldn’t cost more than $20 per room.

Room 105 the water in the shower barely comes out. Good luck washing your hair if it's super long like mine, you're better off keeping it in a bun or taking a shower in the sink. lol..

Hotel is right st the begining of the strip. Walking distance to everything. Quieter than I expected considering all the restaurants around, clean friendly, comfortable. My stay was from thurs midday to Saturday morning. Staff attentive and helpful and respond very quickly.

The value and location were great. The room was oceanfront and probably 800 sq feet. Living Room, Dining area, and full kitchen. The property is in need of some repairs and there are limited amenities. There is a lot happening in this area, winds down after 2am.

We had arrived around mid night for a flight just to sleep before a cruise vacation pretty much ruined the whole vibe for me and my family I killed a caca roach and had it in a napkin showed to staff offered a refund but we had to evacuate at 1:00 am with a child no available hotels in this area at the time so we would’ve had waited in the rain what a miserable way to start a vacation I have been a loyal member of Orbitz for over 10 years I will now erase this app because of this experience I did reach out to Orbitz customer service for a refund since we were pretty much forced to stay in this infested hotel I have applied images and I also have video of live roaches as well don’t know if it will let me post video but I have an image of the one I killed

The only thing that saved this stay was the comfort of the bed. Do not expect much else from this hotel, everything is old, dirty and simply uncared for. The staff doesn't seem to care much either. I would say you get what you pay for but in this case, there are many other comparable hotels on Ocean Drive cost wise...don't walk, run away from this establishment.

The rooms ac leaked condensation into a bucket that you could hear dripping. Picture falling of the wall above the concrete slab of a bed. Definitely if you are looking for a pool for yourself or kids find a different hotel.

The room was clean but flooring was loose and peeling making floor uneven to walk on. The pool was closed and we was not informed at check-in which was not ideal as it was a nice day to be in a pool, we would’ve went to another hotel that offered a pool. No ice, was told to go to store for ice, not a room accommodation.

The Fritz Hotel is amazing! My son and I stayed there over the Labor Day weekend and it was the Best hotel experience I've ever had! South Beach is literally right in front of you! There's a parking garage the street behind the hotel and so many stores within walking distance! You have everything you need here! If you are planning a stay in Miami and wanna be on the beach . I highly recommend you try the Fritz!

Roof top pool was awesome had ocean in background. Valet parking out front. 40 a day but for the area was easier then dealing with the parki g at south beach. Rooms were large. Bedroom was hot at first turned ac on and closed living room vent and left kitchen vent open and ac was distributed better keeping room cold.

Aside from that it doesn’t cost too much to put a towel rack for the hand towel by the sink. For the amount of money they charge I expect a little better.

I definitely recommend this property to anybody visiting southbeach ,the room the quick service friendly staff , the only take away pool needs to be upgraded, but still in all i give it a 10 out of 10 cause the beach is right across the street

They said parking available but it’s valet parking customers have to pay $40 for it and these valet parking guys are crazy they eat my stuff which I left in the car and turn on the AC for whole when I check the fuel range it’s down lo 60 miles and they use the charging cables in the car and change the mirror orientations worst valet parking service I ever faced.

Great location at a reasonable price. Yes, it's old and could use some updating. That keeps it affordable. Excellent rooftop pool and lounge area. It's at the end of the popular zone, but it's easy to walk the whole SoBe area. Would stay again!

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay in Miami for 5 days that wouldnt break the bank, but would also wouldnt be a dive, The Fritz was the perfect combo for us. Friend staff and clean rooms. It wasnt like staying at a Hilton or Marriot, it was definitely more of a European hotel room vibe, but it was perfect for us, especially for half the price. We stayed in room 101, behind the front desk and would love to stay there again.

The hotel is old. The initial suite we were in at first had a water leak in the bathroom so they changed our room. The next room the toilet would not flush because it wouldn't fill up with water. The electricity went off and they didn't even offer a discount of our money back. They don't changed your bed sheets. You have ask them to give you bed sheets and towels. I had to put clean sheets on the bed myself. It was a horrible experience for us. I will never stay there again.

Great stay right by the ocean & shops. Pretty loud as it’s really busy, but worth it.

V dark as windows were crusted from the outside so curtains closed all day

The Fritz is right in the middle of the proverbial action. Toward the end of Ocean Drive but a 5 minute walk and you’re in the Art Deco District. 5 minutes the other way you’re in South Pointe! Amazing value, great vacation spot!!

Cons: Miami has access to ocean Ave restricted. Have to get dropped off 1/2 block away behind the hotel. there is a kitchen but not much of plates/cookware to use. Didn’t much matter for us, we didn’t come down to cook- we ate out. We used the valet but it was located on 6th and Collins. It’s not far at all, like a 3 minute walk.

The furniture was old and beyond presentable to be still in use (you could not even give it away for free). The furniture was sticky and we had to reclean it. The rooms smelled musty. Kitchen not stacked with essentials. This property needs serious updating.

The staff were very helpful and responsive. We had everything we needed included a terrific view and fantastic location in the heart of south beach. Our rooms were clean and well managed. Beds were cozy and living space was perfect. We will be back next February!

Great location for walking around and going to the beach! However, the noise at nights from closeby restaurants and pedestrians are pretty loud (gets quiet by midnightish). Other than the noise, great stay!

Really impressed with the size of the room. Not your typical south beach hotel room. Front desk was great, location was great.

The area was really nice, I had the Ocean suite it was very spacious! Only thing I didnt like was the elevator, I got stuck on there a few times and ended up having to walk the steps but other than that. I enjoyed the area, everything was close to the hotel besides activities like Jet Ski & Atv 30-40 min drive

No parking or self parking. Valet attendant was super slow. Waited to have vehicle parked and to get my vehicle back. Front desk agent was not friendly during check in or out. Overall not impressed. I have stayed in Holiday Inn with nicer staff and better amenities. Bathroom was clean but had obvious signs of wear and tear.. just felt old and run down.

The elevator was malfunctioning. The pool has a sign on door saying under construction, keep out. Our microwave didn't work and despite being promised maintenance, no one showed up for 3 days. Our freezer didn't work, no maintenance and our food went to waste. No closet doors work because the pieces they ordered from IKEA don't work and they don't know what else to do. There was a hole in the floor. A dresser drawer was improperly assembled and fell apart on my leg. 2 different handles fell off. The air vents were coated in thick layers of dust. The smell from the a/c vents was unmistakably mold and mildew. There were no beach towels one day. They refused to give us adequate bedding for the pullout couch.

The first floor rooms are actually terrible. Our toilet seat came off, the music was super loud next door, significant gap in the doors that posed a safety concern. There was no hair dryer. The front desk routinely ran out of beach towels that you had to sign out and return. I got stuck in the elevator for 10 min and when I pressed the emergency button it simply called the front desk which went unanswered bc no one was available at the front desk. I also had to get the electronic keys changed about once a day because they would just stop working. Really shameful and bad all around.

This property is in a fantastic location overlooking the beach on Ocean drive. The rooms were massive and the beds comfy. The rooms and hotel could do with some TLC and modernising but this is reflected in the price you pay. Every other hotel in this location was over double in price. Overall we had a great stay here, the staff were super helpful and even let us check out late so that we could freshen up and change before our flight home.

Last minute booking due to flight cancellation out of Miami. Had No expectations of the property. Really enjoyed access to beach, restaurants and shopping. Restaurant next door played really loud music which I typically would consider for a planned.

I absolutely loved the property and my room! Everything was spotless and beautifully maintained. The only minor issue I encountered was with the elevator—it always went up to the top floor before coming back down, which felt a bit unsettling at first. Because of that, I decided to take the stairs instead, but it really wasn't a big deal at all!

We were given an upgrade which was excellent, a big room with all we needed to make our stay great. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker. The bed was good, having a table and chairs made it easy to work.

It was great, I have been twice and I’ll come back again.

But the only problem was, there was NO parking on site. You either do valet parking which was $40 (but says $35 on paper) or self park about 3 blocks down(from what i was told).

The elevator had a mind of its own. You can press your floor you going too and it will ride right pass your floor and stop at a floor that wasn’t press and no one still didn’t get on. Other than that the food was great!!!

This was a perfect stay for our first trip to Miami! The hotel is older and the pool area could really use a make over but our room was amazing! We had a great stay and would stay again!

Property is definitely aged and not maintained to a more appropriate level being located on Ocean Drive. Very convenient and within short walking distances for dining, beach, entertainment & shopping.

There is no house keeping. Yet they charge a resort fee but literally no one brought clean towels, trash was piled up in our room

PERFECT location if you wanna enjoy the beach! They also have a rooftop pool, with a great view. All the rooms have microwaves and fridges, which is hard to find on south beach. Lots of restaurants and things to go nearby also. The staff is EXTREMELY helpful!

The reason why I’m giving this hotel 3 stars is because the front desk staff could barely speak English. The ladies restroom was out of order and our room was clean, but it just wasn’t really up to par with the fixtures and the flooring. All of our floor tiles were loose and moving on us when we walked and the doorhandles were loose And the door on the bathroom shower stall didn’t close right, so water got everywhere. It wasn’t maintained very well but the spot was absolutely amazing on Ocean Avenue easy to walk to everything. We got a great rate through Expedia because we booked it last minute and it was a clean bed and a safe place to sleep while we had our overnight layover in Miami and they also let us store our luggage there the next full day while we hung out before our flight at 9pm and everyone was nice , just those few minor things; but all in all I would stay there at a discounted rate I wouldn’t pay their normal room rates.

This place is very dated. Bathroom floors likely will never be clean again. The bedroom overlooks Ocean Dr and the beachfront, which sounds awesome until you want to sleep. We tried to go to sleep at 10:30pm but it was too loud outside. There's no insulation from the noise. We moved the bedding to the couch, but it was so hard I couldn't fall asleep for long (hubby did). About 12:30am it seemed to quiet down outside so I moved back to the bedroom. But few minutes later a woman decided to break up with her man below our balcony. 1/2 hr of her screaming at him was awesome. I got a few hours sleep after 1am. The coffee maker was missing parts so we had to leave the hotel for coffee.

I was prepared for an older property with some issues but a decent price. Au contraire! The hotel was fantastic. It is an older (artdeco era) property but my room was likely remodelled in the last 10-20 years and in excellent shape. The AC, shower, bed and linens were great, the 2-toom suite was more than I expected, and the guy at check in was friendly and super efficient. I'll definitely return.

Great environment, centrally located on the ocean Drive area. Right across the street from the Miami Beach photo sign awesome size room is very spacious. We arrived early and the desk was very accommodating actually allow us to upgrade our room with one of our traveling partners to have the two bedroom balconies suit. It was amazing. it is an old hotel. We enjoyed staying there. Didn’t care for the elevator.

Check is was a breeze. The king size room was actually a one bedroom apartment style. It had a spacious living room, kitchen, full size fridge, dining table and a separate living space/bedroom. The TV in the bedroom didn’t work (rm 304). I didn’t try the living room TV. Bathroom was very clean, the whole unit really. The rooftop was a plus! Great views but they do close it at 7pm. Location was amazing right on Ocean Drive.

SUCH AN OLD BUILDING AND DIRTY. NOT SAFE AT ALL. SERVICE WAS OK BUT NOTHING SPECIAL. THEY HAVE DIRTY TOWELS WITH HAIR ON IT. ( DISGUSTING) AND THE WORST THE RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR IS SO LOUD, THERES NO WAY YOU CAN GET SOME REST.

Everything was good except when we ask for extra coffee the receptionist give us bad attitude just for that. we reserve 4 nights and was enough coffe for 3 days so we need it. And the elevator keeps getting stuck. Everything else was ok

It was clean. The staff was really nice and accommodating. Very flexible what i needed. Staff were all friendly. We had the suit, family of 5 and it was more than i expected. Everyday i could hear music downstairs from the outside, but that's South Beach vibes, so i don't mind it. I would stay again. Walking distance to the beach and walgreens. Close to Washington Street and Collins.

Location and cleanliness

This property is at the end of the strip very quiet at night and definitely good place for you and your spouse. When I booked I was not expecting the rooms to be spacious for me and my man, but to my surprise it was easy access to a lot of restaurants and beach area and also out the way from a night time sleep if you understand my drift. Might I add its directly across from the famous Miami sign. Walgreens, liquor store, pizza spot, chilis, Fat Tuesday all in the area literally a walk around the corner.
